Description
KENNETH COLE FOR HER is described as a non-traditional statement with an edge. A Floral Musk, Kenneth Cole for Her is a dynamic and sophisticated fragrance that blends notes of vibrant, translucent Florals and invigorating Citrus with enchanting notes of Sandalwood and Musk. The result is a fragrance that does not follow traditional structures or paths, just like the woman who wears it.
TOP NOTES: Pink Peonies, Lemon, Translucent Florals
MID NOTES: Jasmine, Violet, Lily-of-the-Valley
BASE NOTES: Sandalwood, Heliotrope, Skin Musks
“The scent is inspired by the Kenneth Cole woman who would wear this fragrance, traditional with an edge. The fragrance is designed in a linear structure with contrasts to obtain a “rock ‘n roll edge.” The signature is centered around musk providing this effortless, easy comfort that is extremely wearable and pumped throughout the fragrance in a non-traditional way. The edge comes from this unique duo of Carrot Seed and Ambrette, providing a touch of warmth to increase the mellow expression. Beautiful fluid Florals envelop the Musk in a stunning contrast. The finished composition has a cool factor that is very addictive,” said Nicole Mancini, Senior Perfumer at Givaudan.
Available as a 50 and 100 ml EDP.
Kenneth Cole For Her was launched in 2018.

I love the simplicity of the bottle design. Although, the juice is a bit of a powdery honey suckl-ish floral on me. I would love to try the layering scents to see how that would transform this. Perhaps it would make it a little less heavy floral, as I am not ready to smell like an old mom yet. I am a mom, but I still feel young and flirty.

I just tried this at SDM, not expecting much. I’ve liked a couple of Kenneth Cole perfumes in the past, but never enough to buy one. They’ve always struck me as being pleasant, clean, and easy to wear.
KC for Her is no exception, though the main difference is that unlike the previous KCs I’ve seen, it comes in an impressive, heavy glass bottle. It would not look out of place as a niche brand’s bottle, used for every single scent.
The scent itself is a bit more feminine and delicate than the bottle would suggest. It’s a pretty, clean-but-not-too-clean floral blend—I get a lot of soapy lily-of-the-valley—with a lovely, musky base. I normally do not care for musky florals (there are some exceptions, but I feel I must be partially anosmic to a fair number of such scents) but this I really, really enjoy. It’s a perfect one to throw on in spring/fall, for any occasion. Sillage is OK but longevity seems reasonably good so far. I’ll definitely be picking up a bottle since I don’t have many scents in this category.
(Note: I can’t speak to its similarity to J.Lo’s Glow, since I am not even sure I’ve ever tried that one! My interest, however, is piqued.)
[Edit: Just received my bottle! The cylindrical box is very nice, to boot!]

A vintage heavy powdery violet, that’s all i get from this.

At first spray I can see the similarity to JLo. But then after around half an hour (maybe less?) magic happens. What a beautiful soft, delicate cosy scent. Powdery but that sharpness that accompanies the first spray dies down into a lightly musky floral hug. Love it!

I ordered a 3.4oz bottle from a popular fragrance website and just received it last week. The bottle is super hefty and looks nice and simple on my bathroom counter. Firstly, yes, it does smell very very similar to J-lo’s Glow, I actually have them on side-by-side to compare right now. While at first spray, they seem identical, after a few minutes, the quality difference is evident. Glow tends to get a bit papery/dusty/powdery and loses some of it’s richness while KC keeps its nice, round florals intact…like a rosy/jasmine face cream! I agree with the reviewer below me that this is not groundbreaking but it is lovely…and safe. It’s clean and wafts in and out throughout the day and is, like they mentioned, a “musk-sandalwood-flowers” concoction. Yep, not edgy at al but really nice and clean feeling and a break from all the other overly sweet stuff that’s everywhere you turn. The other perfume that this reminds me of, yet they are more like sisters or cousins, is PS Design. I have had that one for a couple years and passed it by SO many times at TJ Maxx because it was priced so low and the packaging is less than alluring…I just stupidly assumed that it wasn’t any good. I was wrong…it’s one of my favorites now. KC and PS Design share much of the same feel but PS Design tends to lean more toward bitter/sharp floral upfront but they become more similar in the drydown….soft, clean, creamy, musky, fresh. PS Design really stays longer on my skin too than either KC or Glow. I want to add that all of these perfumes but especially KC for Her remind me of a headshop oil often called China Rain…a really relaxing watery, floral musk. I’m going to enjoy this bottle ( it’s huge) while I have it but probably won’t buy again when it’s gone…I’ll probably stick to my PS Design because it’s cheaper and I like it the most out of the three mentioned.

I didn’t know of this perfume’s existence, but got sent a sample. At first sniff I knew it smelt like something. That something was J.Lo’s Glow of over a decade and a half ago. Back in the day of my early teens, Glow was my go to fragrance. But I’ve moved on and am surprised that this kind of generic, musky yet clean fragrance has made a re-appearance.
The nose behind this fragrance, Nicole Mancini describes the woman who wears this perfume as “traditional with an edge”. I can’t say I agree. There isn’t anything particularly edgy about Kenneth Cole for Her – it’s a standard musk, sandalwood and flowers.
This doesn’t make it unpleasant. Where Glow is cloying and very synthetic, KC for Her is more subtle. A few sprays leave you feeling fresh and ready to begin your day.
Initially I was disappointed as the smell seemed to dissipate from my skin within the first hour.
Fast forward to a good 6 hours later: I began to get a delicate whiff of all the good parts of this perfume – light sandalwood and jasmine. This was a surprise and left me low key impressed.
While I will definitely not be purchasing this perfume, I’m happy to stick it out with my sample for a few months. Generic, easy, fresh. You won’t get complaints.

What appears to be is Nivea cream with Heliotrope, other notes are white flowers.
Feels like spring-summer everyday use, very clean wear.

A lovely member of the Fragrantica community recommended Kenneth Cole for Her (based on my love of Glow). I bought it as a blind buy and really like it.
It has a soft, lux, soapy quality. I feel squeaky clean wearing it. On my skin it has great longevity, but quite low projection, however I get delightful little wafts of it throughout the day. I would definitely agree that this smells much like Glow – I was on the look-out for a more refined, non-celebrity version, and this is it. It is slightly more subtle in my opinion, and sits closer to my skin. This isn’t an exciting or bold fragrance (if that’s what you’re into). It is however a nice, clean fragrance that I’m so happy to have a full bottle of for everyday wear. It suits my tastes perfectly and I will wear it often.
