Nicely done, but there’s clearly an ambery/tonka quality that isn’t listed among the notes. It’s not a “blob” and it’s not too sharp, but it’s quite strong. I think most people don’t realize that you have to only spray once or twice with such fragrances, and after wearing it a few times, they get a headache from it and decide it’s terrible. I may even dilute this one, something I’ve only done with Kouros and One Man Show, because I like the notes and it’s not too “synthetic” for me. Also, I don’t get much patchouli, which I don’t like unless it’s weak, and so there’s no issue with that note. Though you can detect the citrus and spice, it has an overall creamy quality. I’ve been hoping to find a fragrance like this that isn’t harsh or nauseating, and I think this may be it. The drydown is like a Mugler Pure Malt one, but this is spicy instead of malty. I’ll have to wear it a couple more times to make sure, and I have to say I look forward to wearing this again.
UPDATE: There’s something about this in the drydwon that is coming across as “synthetic,” though not to a terrible degree. This doesn’t seem to bother me if I walk around but if I sit in one spot it begins to me feel like I’m going to get dizzy. I like the scent in every other way though.

Nice scent, but the fruity notes fade fast away. After half an hour you just smell a warm base, like vanilla, although there isn’t vanilla in it.
Before i forget it: maybe someone can help me. i search for an empty box of this joop fragrance, i got one without it. thanks in advance

Great choice. It’s strange, I know, but I consider this summer edition stronger than the traditional one… The vodka note seems to be more evident.

The original is very sharp and strong. This is easier to use, less nauseating.
