Description

The most popular brand of luxury shoes and fashion accessories, Jimmy Choo, launches its first fragrance, simply named Jimmy Choo.

Jimmy Choo fragrance, described as “feminine yet empowering, with a lot of sensuality to it”, was developed in cooperation with Inter Parfums and the famous perfumer from IFF Olivier Polge. The seductive composition is a modern chypre fruity, with green top notes, tiger orchid, sweet toffee caramel and Indonesian patchouli.

The packaging and the textured glass bottle is designed by Mellon herself. She was inspired by Murano glass and devoted so much attention to the appearance, so that it would be desirable and appropriate for your nightstand. Mellon is also the face of the campaign shot with photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

Jimmy Choo launched in February 2011 as 40 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum, body lotion and shower gel.

The beginning is a mix of juicy fruits and orchid, toffee soon joins. A delicate sweetness remains on my skin with a withdrawn, refreshing pear. The composition is very feminine, pleasant and sensual. The temperature has a huge impact on the reception of these perfumes. I recommend it for cooler seasons.

I gave this one many tries and i wished i would love it , but i couldn’t. definetely not a safe blind buy as it’s very polarizing and so strong .

Jimmy Choo EDP is a sexy and powerful scent. It does resemble Flowerbomb because of the patchouli and orchid but this is far less sweet and more spicy. The pear also stands out during the initial spray. Whenever I wear this I can smell it on myself all day which I love, so longevity + sillage are excellent. If you like patchouli heavy fragrances with fruity elements I’d give this a try. The price isn’t too high and you get good quality juice!

I got it from my boyfriend once and then it stayed for a long time unused because I did not like it so much. I smelled those perfumes from time to time, but I could not find even one intereseting note. That smell was so dull. Today I can say that this is one of the best scents ever and I cannot imagine not to have it. Surprise.

Jimmy Choo is powdery patchouli, pear, toffee, but I also get a sense of rose and leather with it. JC opens with a lot of patchouli, which can be garlicky at first, but the garlic goes away after a few minutes, leaving an earthy but elegant patchouli that works for all occasions. Go lightly and reapply if needed. I didn’t care for the edt at all, but do like the edp. The body cream is highly fragranced and a tiny amount goes a long way and gives me the best control on this fragrance.

    Jimmy Choo edp
I loved the opening, it reminded me of warm deep berry, fruit but not ‘fruity’, clean, spices warm… looking at notes that could be pear mix, I love the opening.
I’ve lost that, within half an hour, now it’s warm, dusky, kind of like how Rihanna rogue ends, that lasts longer and stronger on me.
I won’t comment to total longevity yet as ive only had it in maybe half an hour to an hour.
This is t a patchouli bomb, I’ve tried some that are, this isn’t dirty either, yeah it could be toffee, it’s not sweet sweet though. I wouldn’t say gourmand per se, earthy-Gucci absolu had that, I did get a feel of that frag in the initial sprays, didn’t last, j Choo changed.
    More later

The review below mine…I second that entirely!
Not even trying to be rude or funny…I’m actually surprised anyone finds this a pleasant smell. I mean no disrespect…but as I’ve said in previous reviews I’ve written…we all work hard for our money so I always give honest reviews, even if they’re not so positive.
Now for me…patchouli can go either way. I’m not a patchouli hater but a fragrance has to have JUST the right amount and the other notes have to compliment it…for me to enjoy it. Two good examples of patchouli fragrances that I absolutely love are Nicole Richie’s debut perfume as well as Fancy Nights by Jessica Simpson. In addition to that…I LOVE sweet scents! Even super sweet ones such as Jessica Simpson’s original Fancy perfume. And as for toffee…I have never owned a perfume before this one with that note so I was nervous, but intrigued.
Well…yeah. As you could imagine from the way I started this review…I find it seriously disgusting. It was sticky, entirely unbalanced. I found it to be completely lost. Like it doesn’t know whether it wants to be a dirty, earthy scent, or a sexy-sweet perfume.
More power to those who love this. But my advice? DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS!! TOTALLY UNSAFE BLIND BUY!! SNIFF BEFORE BUYING!!
    Scent Itself – 2/10
    Longevity – About 6 hours.
Projection – Stronger side of moderate. 4 feet or so.
    Overall score – 2/10
I’m honestly scared shitless to try anything else from Jimmy Choo. At least from the women’s line.

I love pear and I love toffee and I love patchouli….but this fragrance makes me feel sick somehow. It also doesn’t last on my skin. I’ve read others say it reminded them of coco mad. I own both and I don’t smell the similarities besides the patchouli. JC is a little too cloying for me. I’m bummed bc I was really excited waiting for it to arrive but it’s a no go for me.

I expected to love this based on the notes. Staying power is out of this world buts it’s just way too strong for me. It seems like most perfumes that contain pear don’t set well on my skin. Had to pass it on :/

  11. :

Sadly, mixed with my skin, it smells like an old lady. But, I had accidentally spilt some in my closet, and oh my goodness! My closet smelled so beautiful for literally months!! Lol, if all else fails dump some in your closet somewhere! I warn you guys though, its really strong. 🙂
Okay, so its basically heavy toffee and patchouli. It reminds me of a rainy day. Since i had spilt the bottle somewhere in my closet, my clothes smell like it. I almost recommend everyone put some on a cottonball and store it in your drawers. Feminine, sweet, yet business-lady like.

  12. :

    5 out of 5

I know it’s like comparing apples to oranges but this reminds me of Coco Mademoiselle a lot in terms of masculine patchouli with sweetness and fruits. However the staying power is far more superior of Jimmy Choo than CM’s recent formulation so in the future this will be my choice instead of the Chanel. Polge also creates for Chanel so there you go… Haha

There are very few perfumes that I dislike as much as this one. I don’t get any toffee whatsoever, only very strong patchouli and it smells like bugspray. I can’t even describe it, I think it would repel mosquitos. I had to wash it off my wrist, I just couldn’t stand it.

  14. :

This is definitely one of my favorite scents in the cooler months. Staying in my collection for sure

i Absolutely love this fragrance!! Not only because of the scent but the memories it evokes, sweet and beautiful, you would have to smell this to realise just how amazing it is as words can not describe

To Helen123456789: IMO, I don’t think they are similar in scents. Even though they both have the same sweetness from pear. But in LVEB, that pear note combined with big Tonka Bean to become “bitter”/spicy sweet while this Jimmy Choo is not. LVEB also has “sharper”/“greener” patchouli while JC is more gentle. I like LVEB a lot but I love this JC. Hope this helps 🙂

  17. :

    5 out of 5

Not that sweet like i expected from the comments and the pyramid To me its almost not sweet at all Its more fresh-green-woody The only sweetness comes from the fruity pear which is a very dominant note in this whole composition a hint of patchouli but its not a big patchouli scent It also reminds me a bit of Chopard Wish but much lighter more fresh and less innocent Its a very seductive and feminine scent a bit vintage but also elegant lovely

The EdP is really good, although it took me a while to appreciate it. The EdT is HORRID! The L’Eau is light and pretty.

  19. :

It is my favorite for autumn weather. The top notes of this perfume composition are a mixture of citrus fruits with sweet pear with green herbs.
It just makes you feel elegant, sexy and sensual. Green initial notes do not give notes of caramel in the base stick together and as a result, the fragrance opens with a moderate sweetness of patchouli and musk and all this daisy cloud is shaded by a delicate orchid. This fragrance won me with its originality and at the same time its lightness and airiness. You just flit in this warm and sweet cloud. You are truly unique, you are the best!

  20. :

On me the Orchid and toffee really stand out. I love this perfume for date nights or when I want to feel sexy. I think it is pretty strong and too strong for work (unless you are an exotic dancer). It is very sexy and beautiful. My boyfriend loves when I wear this. A little goes a long way and I only spray one spritz in the air and let it soak into my hair. I don’t spray this on my wrists because for me two spritzes are too much. It can be headache inducing but not if you use one spritz.

  21. :

    4 out of 5

A really seductive and sophisticated perfume with strong projection of the orchid – at least on my skin -, longlasting and with a characteristic longevity.
The only observation I would make here would be that in “Jimmy Choo” I find a lot of the body of the original “Flowerbomb” by Viktor&Rolf. I do not know the reason of this; maybe it has to do with the great success of “Flowerbomb” six years prior to “Jimmy Choo”‘s release, maybe it has to do with Olivier Polge’s particular style, as he was the nose behind the formulation of both creations.
In any case, I would recommend these two perfumes both to be worn by whoever likes this basic formula; “Flowerbomb” could easily be the spring-summer scent of “Jimmy Choo”‘s lovers.

  22. :

    4 out of 5

I haven’t been wearing this as much lately but I always come back to sniff it.
I love the toffee and pear combination, the green note keeps it from being too sweet for me.
This is a VERY long lasting perfume that everyone around you can smell.
I always spritz a quarter or half a pump of this because it’s so powerful, I was standing around a guy friend once (who has expensive taste), and he kept saying “someone smells so good, do you smell that?” I said no what is it?
He comes closer to me and says “it’s you! What is that perfume? All ladies should wear this!”
This is great for colder months as it’d explode in the summer, I should start wearing this again (:

  23. :

The wrapping must have been a warning sign, but I got blinded by pear notes and the name. The opening is not bad – did I mention I love pear notes? – but soon it evolves into something cheap. As the gourmand notes develop, the scent becomes ugly and smells – well, ugly. The toffee does not work well with the pear, making it smell like a cheap dessert.

I can’t believe like Zulander said!it does remind me of coco mad! All this time I’ve had it,but admittedly not worn it much till this morning but wow! It’s powdery and lovely sweet❤️

I have a love-hate relationship with this fragrance.
I like it on my skin. It starts off quite sharp but mellows down after several minutes.
I hate the way it smells when it gets on my clothes. Not sure if the smell reacts with the fabric conditioner or detergent or the fabric itself. It smells medicinal/herby/sharp on my clothes.
Other people love this on me although I find it weird that they seem to smell it differently. For one friend, this is a very pleasant elegant powdery smell. For another, it reminded him of candies.

I am just now commenting on this lovely frag. Forgive me!
This frag is beautiful! It starts out a tad bit strong but it drys down to the most beautiful buttery toffee smell that I have ever encountered.
Jimmy Choo Jimmy Choo reminds me of the toffee in a Heath bar and a Heath bar is super sweet, buttery and delicious. I get the fresh citrus and sweet pear along with the patchouli but not a lot of the green notes because the buttery toffee shines thru so well.
    Longevity-10/10
    Sillage-10/10
This is sweet, buttery, delicious and sexy

This truly has a leather quality to it, and that’s what I like. Also, I smell some burnt sugar. I would use it for daytime going out with girls and have fun. It smells like no worries and someone who doesnt care what people think about her somewhat pop trashy taste in everything :)) well im not good with notes but i try to make an image about my perception.

I purchased this years ago and when I first tried it on I believe I thought it smelled a little herbal somehow? Something about it just made me nauseous, I even had my mother ask me “what medication did you take?”
I think it could have been the weather or the fact that I had the flu which altered the scent.
Fast forward few years and I still have it on my shelf so I decided to try it out, and I surprisingly love it!
I immediately get the sweet toffee scent which isn’t as cloying as most gourmand fragrances nowadays, I also get the green scent of the pear (could’ve been the ‘herbal’ thing I felt previously). This fragrance lasts for HOURS and the dry down is a sweet patchouli with a hint of the toffee in the background.
I’ve smelled Flowerbomb before which was a cotton candy bomb similar to Pink Sugar, incredibly nauseating and reminds me of Bath and Bodyworks.
I think this could be comparable but a more sophisticated/mature version of those fragrances which isn’t suffocatingly sugary.
I’ve had compliments from guys while wearing this, not directly but people would pass me and I’d hear them say “what’s that smell? someone smells really good”.
I can’t imagine wearing this in the summer but I picture it as a warm blanket in the Fall/Winter!

One of my favs. onto my second bottle which is about to be done lol . Very distinct smell. SEXY FRAGRANCE like gucci guilty(but does not smell like it ), I think its the patchouli. I wear sexy fragrances during the day, smells sweet but not overbearingly sweet. Good buy.Scent Last all day.

This is one huge patchouli bomb…layers upon layers of patch piled on top of a sweet floral base. Hard for me to pinpoint the toffee note. Not girly at all. For me, this suits a mature confident woman. This reminds me a lot of Coco Mademoiselle edp…very similar in style. A very masculine base (patchouli) tweaked with a feminine edge (floral+toffee).

I love this fragrance. It smells very sweet and fruity. The main scent I get is patchouli. For some reason, I can slightly compare this scent to cola.

The EDP I have lasts 7 minutes. Then disappears. I have flowerbomb on one wrist and Jimmy Choo on the other. Flowerbomb is deeper and richer, Jimmy Choo is fruitier and sparklier. But they are similar. But since you can’t reapply fragrance every 7 minutes, Jimmy Choo is not a good buy.

  34. :

    5 out of 5

Sickly sweet pear in the opening. Toffee comes to a notice in rather heavy and syrupy smell.
To me it seems like and attempt on gourmand but honestly: most like a first grade of school attempt with still very long way to go.
As already mentioned in previous reviews fruitchouli-gourmand and I would just add – beginner fruitchouli-gourmand.

The toffee mixed with green notes makes this very unique but somewhat objectionable

Previous reviewer – the 80’s scents that come closest in my mind are Xia Xiang or Exclamation. Either way they all smell amazing!
I can’t add much more than has already been said other than I really like it, a LOT and I have sniffed it every time I have passed by a bottle. I did the same thing with Coco Mademoiselle and that was my go to for a couple of years once I truly gave it a try. I have been wearing my sample for four hours now and it still projects quite well. Patch done right, it lends depth without being too earthy and overpowering. All of the notes are blended well. The opening is a little too sweet for my tastes but it mellows. I always like to compare my scent experiences to interactions with men. At first I didn’t know what to make of this one but the more time we spend together, I am sure of a second date!
Edit: 12 hours later and I woke up smelling this on my wrists. Definitely adding this to the wardrobe!

I like this very much, though I don’t know why, since I usually dislike Pear and Patchouli. Somehow the Toffee softens and ties it all together. I like the Jimmy Choo Stars version better (same mix, but trade Pear for Orange). The bottle is very pretty and the pink snake skin box is worth displaying all by itself, HA. So cute. Longevity is good, 4 or 5 hours. Sillage is moderate.

  39. :

I love this fragrance. I wasn’t too keen on it initially when i was getting into perfume testing and reviewing, but there’s something about this fragrance that makes me think, ‘I’ll never forget this fragrance.’ The patchouli is strong so I’d stay away from it if you don’t like that particular scent. But it makes the perfume incredibly long lasting in terms of sillage and very memorable. The toffee scent makes it a wonderful pick for gourmand lovers too. Whether you like it or dislike it, i think you’ll remember the smell of jimmy choo’s edp for a long time. One to be respected in my opinion.

It has this sweetened spiciness, that would be perfect for a rainy day. Lasts a really long time just on the skin, and is strong, so you don’t need very much.

  41. :

    Uniqueness – 7/10
    Longevity – 6/10
    Sillage – 5/10
    Value for money – 7/10
    Character: joyful, cheerful, confident
Best for: signature scent, date night, special occasions
Tested this on multiple occasions, on both skin and clothes, in warm and cold weather. I didn’t get any toffee at all, but I got a tasty pear each time.
Lasts quite well, about 5h on skin and two days on fabrics.
Like many, I get just clean fruity scent, nothing especially seductive or sweet, but quite outstanding among all the fruity fragrances I have tried. However, it is good to have such fragrance in collection – price point of Jimmy Choo EDP is lower than Dior or Givenchy, while lasting power is very good and scent is nice and appropriate for many occasions.
Some people find it a bit harsh, so I wouldn’t recommend for a blind buy, but for testing – sure.

  42. :

    5 out of 5

Jimmy Choo is a strong, sweet, and fruity patchouli fragrance that I find similar to Lancome La Vie Est Belle. I know a lot of people compare this to Flowerbomb as well, but I have never smelled that. I prefer Jimmy Choo over LVEB. They both have a pear note, which I like, and that is more noticeable in Jimmy Choo. I also prefer the caramel toffee note over the nutty chocolate in LVEB. This is definitely a potent fragrance. A little goes a long way.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

I tested Jimmy Choo EDP so many times, and it certainly is unique gourmand type of scent, but every time I try it the scent reminds me so much of pear-flavored carbonated soft drink “Duchess” which I remember since I was a child. I didn’t drink it often, but still the memory of “Duchess” soda stuck with me like most childhood memories tend to do. For the first hour or two Jimmy Choo EDP smells exactly like if I spilled Duchess pear soda on myself. I even googled the name of the soda and found somebody’s review of it. The person who described the flavor of “Duchess” drink might as well be describing the smell of Jimmy Choo EDP, with words like: “slightly pear-ish, but floral more than anything”, “very sweet scent, like gum, with a pleasant fruity note”, “cool, ever-so-slightly minty smooth flower-ish sweet”, “pear-like flavors are present, but competing with a strong sugary tone”, “a sense of fruit and flowers, with a strong candy-like feeling”… I put the quote marks since it’s not my description, but I couldn’t have found better words to describe the scent of Jimmy Choo EDP. I would add that Jimmy Choo smells “carbonated” or fizzy, esp. the first minutes after spraying it. I don’t know any other fragrance so distinctly “fizzy” on application. I might buy it as a novelty scent, but I can’t really consider it an actual perfume. Strong “like” for the unique scent, nonetheless.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

At first, this is so syrupy sweet from the toffee and pear notes. Like a decadent dessert. After half an hour or so, it becomes so clean-smelling despite the patchouli. You can still smell the underlying sweetness, but it transforms into a slightly masculine, slightly elegant scent. It reminds me of a very well-put together business woman type. I really enjoy this scent. It’s crispy, sweet, clean, and a little earthy from the green notes and patchouli.
I will say this: there is a definite pencil shavings vibe I get on clothes after wearing it through a day. The stranger part? I absolutely love it! It reminds me heavily of college and the smell of the libraries. There are so many different facets to this perfume that I agree with others who say it is a masterpiece. I also think it’s amazing how many different perceptions people have of this scent.
I can start off my day smelling like a delicious dessert, perfect with my morning coffee, then transition to the office in my business casual wear and feel that this is entirely appropriate, to getting home from work and basking in nostalgia of my college years.

Beautiful fragrance like a mature, confident and pretty woman. It goes deep into the night and the scent gets awaken again after misty fresh rain. MANY people have been so curious, showing their interest and attraction to me about this fragrance. Well done Jimmy Choo!

Not a fan of this at all. The notes in This are just… wrong on all levels IMO. My first instinct was to get back in the shower and scrub off, but I waited a couple hours to give it a fair chance, and though it was torture to my nose, the dry down is only just bareable. Recommend trying before u buy. Glad I only bought a sample as wondergirl98 stated is kinda bug sprayish. I will not purchase bigger bottle.

  48. :

A fairly green clean opening with a quite juicy pear
An okay floral heart, personally I’m not crazy about orchids, I guess they’re fine.
Drydown: hella sexy sweet sweet sweet COSMETIC POWDER paired with some patchouli. Well done Olivier Polge.
This is not a gourmand toffee…food notes don’t really need to realistically smell like food. Jimmy Choo is a perfume not food, and it is heavy and womanly scent, reminds me a bit of Poeme Lancome, same heavy powdered sweetness.
Lasts very long time and wafts around enough for people to ask and compliment

So I got this from a very reputable online store in my country, Iran, against my mum’s advice telling me it’d be fake. I received it today And lo and behold, it is a fake. It was a blind buy so I don’t know what the authentic one smells like but this was like you’re smelling the wide scotch packaging tape! I got a headache from the awful chemical smell of it and from the disappointment. 🙁
I’d noticed the plastic foil around the box was a bit thick when I tore it. The smell was off. I couldn’t smell anything but scotch tape. There weren’t different layers to the smell. The opening was wide scotch tape and the drydown was same! So I checked on checkfresh website and it said production date was 2001. It is 2017 now. :

I mean I’d accept a 5 yo perfume but 16 yo? And it is a fake. Funny thing is our govt has a website to check authenticity of imported products but that website is a fraud too! Haha! Still the perfume failed to pass the authenticity check on that website too. I’m in the process of returning it. But I’m so gutted. I’m gonna stick to buying perfumes from duty free when I go abroad.

A very fruit-choo choo-li! I don’t get caramel. I do get a nice mix of patchouli and pear. Has moderate silage. Lasts all day on me – 8 hrs. I don’t know anything like it, but it’s very pretty and elegant. Might consider making it my signature. Not that it stands out as super unusual either. People just say “oh that smells good. What is it?” Better than when I used to wear black orchid and people were like “what’s that weird rotting stench?

    Loooove love love it !!!
This fragrances goes straight to the point at once, it does not waste time joking around..
You have to be comfortable with patchouli and intense floral fragrances.
With that said, I can definetely catch the orchid here.. the pear is nowhere to be found (to my nose at least).
was concerned that the Toffee note would make it wierd and overlysweet or something like that, but not at all !
This is a different scent, something that bends the traditional rules but still projects clasiness, sofistication and lures you in..
I am not sure if this should be call “sexy”.. I am confused on that.. it does have an appeal to it, and makes you want to sniff closer to the skin.. but I do not find it projecting the idea of SEXYNESS, as other scents do for me (take Decadence by MJ for instance).
It will boost your look with no doubt, and it will project a strong young sofisticated woman, with a special twist.. a misterious vibe. Love it !!
Sillage is good, more than arms lenght.
    You WILL get noticed.
Longevitiy is perfect, 10 solid hours for me.
Bottle design: GORGEOUS and classic. Wonderful.
It´s a keeper for me. WILL repurchase!

I so wanted to love this perfume. I just love the music from the commercial. This was the perfume that made me be sure that I don’t like patchouli at all! When I first read the top notes of it, I was excited because I really like pear and mandarin fragrance. Then it hit me, the roughness ( in my opinion ) of patchouli. I am sure it is awesome for people liking this type, but for me it is not at all representative.
I actually like the longevity of it, after 5 hours ( although I just sprayed once, it still smelled). I don’t know about the silage since I’m a beginner in this and not good at analyzing this.
All in all, I believe it is truly a good perfume for people that like patchouli.

I did the same thing, My daughter asked me what I wanted for christmas a couple of years ago, I asked her for the JC EDP, but she bought me the EDT by mistake. Reading the reviews on here regarding the EDP, I was surprised how different the EDT was, although I really liked the EDT the longevity was poor. I have now bought the EDP myself and it is beautiful. I still have the EDT, but I put it on close to bedtime if I have had a shower, knowing that by bedtime it will be gone.

I want to like this so bad, and tried it 3 different times but.. I nearly smell anything. Everyone says its strong But I smell nothing. I smell something sweet, fainty. And it is gone within secconds.

Due to the many raves online and in the below reviews I decided to buy the smallest 1 fl oz bottle unsniffed from online for a reasonable price. It appeared that many different fragrance lovers with wildly divergent tastes and budgets seemed to really love this particular fragrance.
I expected a Flowerbomb or Juicy Couture fruitchouli. But I was surprised, intrigued, and somewhat repelled by my first impression as it smell nothing like I expected. The juicy pear was the first note that was recognizable then the mandarin comes in and makes the pear almost too sharp but the toffee notes hold back the sharpness and then the crazy, super earthy, slightly minty, grassy, patchouli comes in and it’s intimidating and challenging. The way the perfumer just boldly displays this patchouli is really what sets it apart from the other fruitchoulis which generally strive to be smoother, sweeter and less variant in expression as people who generally prefer fruitchoulis tend not to love earthy and greenish notes. Though I was somewhat jarred by this it at first, I was compelled to keep using it to figure this scent out, until I just started to flat out love it and crave it after four or five times. Another special thing is the toffee notes blend in so well with the fruit that it manages to give off a toffee-like warmth but not the actual candylike fragrance. This may actually be the reason why I crave it. Very well done and unique.

Love this fragrance…on me it’s a powerful blend of sweet toffee, fruit, and patchouli. It’s so seductive and rich, faintly masculine. Jimmy Choo is a well made perfume, and it smells more expensive than it is. This is definitely in my top 5. I enjoy wearing this fragrance in the fall and winter. I think the cooler temperature works better with all the notes. I recommend trying this at least once, you won’t regret it 😉

This was yet another blind buy. After reading reviews, I was a bit worried. I am relieved that I’m not getting that nail polish smell that others have. Toffee is very recognizable to me, just because I recently wore hanae mori Hanae and that has toffee as a main note. I think Jimmy Choo is a very nice mix of toffee and patchouli.

I often tried Jimmy Choo EDP and thought the tester bottle must be off cause it had a slight nail polish remover like top note. In the end I concluded that not all testers of this fragrance in town can be off and remembered pear flavored soda from the Russian grocery store that has this polish remover smell, too. Jimmy Choo has a pear note, so there must be something about artificial pear that sometimes reminds me of nail polish remover.
As the fragrance settles down, the nail polish thing vanishes, but the fruityness of the pear stays. Patchouli becomes very dominant.
The fruity note changes from juicy to syrupy over time. Underneath it there is a sweet, but somewhat musty base. I think this is the earthy strong patchouli mixed with dustily powdery orchid and the sticky sweetness of toffee. It has something dirty, but distinctive and addictive, I always have to sniff my arm when testing.
It’s a surprisingly unique perfume, especially for a trendy fruitchouli-gourmand, and also strong and lasting. I like the weirdness of the heart and base, but not the chemical aroma of the top.

Kind of an odd scent to me. It smells like a caramel dipped pear that’s been laying on a bed of fresh cut grass. One of the first fragrances I’ve smelled where there are two distinct scent types competing with each other instead of working together. In this case it’s fresh greenery vs. gourmand sweetness. Not terrible, but definitely not great.
EDIT: Oh, god, I tried this again. It’s absolutely rancid to me now. There’s something so offputting about the patchouli in this, it’s actually made me see why so many people detest that note. I didn’t ‘get’ it til now, and I’ve tried Angel. Maybe it’s the way it’s paired with the toffee and pear? It’s sour and chemical and harsh… it’s almost fascinating how badly it smells to me. Sorry, Jimmy Choo lovers.

I think I must be anosmic to this, because on my skin it smells of almost nothing. Very, very weak, faintly sweet floral. It doesn’t smell of much on my daughter either. I’m glad I only ordered a mini of this one.

This is a “date night” perfume for sure. Sweet and sexy. Definitely not for wear to the office. It makes me feel confident and alluring and will get you tonnes of compliments. This lasts around 6 hours on my skin.

This is definitely one of those scents I expected to smell completely different then it did. I didn’t get any pear or toffee. what I did get was mentholated doll head and tons of wonderful musty earthy patchouli. I came into this one expecting an ordinary sweet fruitchouli but am very delighted with the result I got. It’s really quite fabulous. Will update later on longevity.

All I get from this one is a warm sugariness and zesty, fresh potting soil. The balance changes a little bit later on to favor the sweetness, but not much. And I really like it! Like many others, at first I was turned off by that kind of dirty smell, but revisited a couple years later and either I’m older and more worldly about perfume (lol) or I just happened to give this more patience.
