Insolence Guerlain for women of Guerlain

Description

Insolence is a new bold fragrance for young women. The face of perfume is the movie star Hilary Swank, the Oscar-winner for the main role in the ‘Million Dollar Baby’ film. This perfume will most probably surprise the Guerlain perfumes fans, as it is rather unusual, modern and fruity sweet. But, Guerlain is not afraid to surprise, and even provoke.

There is a delicate and soft violet waiting for you in the top notes, followed by red-fruits cocktail with raspberry domination. The heart is floral-sweet, composed of violet, rose, and orange blossom. At the end, sweet resins and balsams together have joined iris and Tonka bean to round the composition. The creators of Insolence are Maurice Roucel i Sylvaine Delacourte, and the half-sphere bottle with the rose-like shaped stopper was created by Serge Mansau. The perfume was launched in 2006.

I’m getting a strong dry violet and iris scent, which is impressive from an EDT. Underneath the floral lies a smokey resin base, softened by the musk. There’s a slight powder which gives it a hint of vintage but not overly so. As soon as I think I smell sweetness in this, the resin takes over.
Thank you to Hayley_6 for the decant. I really wanted to love this, so I’m glad I tested before I bought a bottle. It’s too smokey and dry for me and made my head a little achy.

A nice option for the warmer months for those who love the EDP version. It’s not as sweet or powdery as the EDP, it’s fresh and cool thanks to the presence of musk in the base. Feminine and more playful than the EDP, can be worn by those who feel the EDP is too mature and serious.

Heady, Rich Fruity, slightly powdery and quite lovely
I wasn’t expecting the clean patchouli-like smell in the base, but loved it. I usually don’t like vanilla fragrances either, but this one has a nice blend. Sexy and a little deep, yet playful.
As a man this is one of my favorite daily wear perfumes that a women can wear , along with mugler angel muse.
5 to 7 hours longevity and fair projection, but good sillage.
    I recommend a sniff !

Really adore the cadid violets in this one. Smells feminine, clean and flowery. One of my all time favorites on the bathroom shelf. Powdery and fluffy as a cloud. LOVE <3 I Will never ever get tired of that scent. Silage and longevity way above average. Worth every penny!

A fruit-filled dream of a scent with an undertone of sweet musk. This scent has a longevity and silage to be reckoned with! Amazing staying power with a totally addictive scent. A true classic that works in any season.

Just got this today in a swap, I’ve always wanted to try it. It’s just liked i imagined, sweet candied violets, powdery, a bit more modern feeling g than most Geurlains. Love ! And the bottle is super cute.

One of my favorites from Guerlain. Its sweet, bright berries. The dry down becomes softer and more floral. I love the beautiful and unique design of the bottle as well.

There is not much I can say about this perfume that hasn’t already been said, so I instead leave you with this –
Layer this with Angel Eau Sucree by Mugler.
    You’re welcome.

I´m a Insolence Fan! I wear edp in autumn/winter and as I couldn´t stay without it for my summer, it just arrived the edt.
The same elegance from the edp is in the edt thanks to the classic “Guerlain” powdery notes and also to some “guerlinade” accord notes, which are here present (as almost in all Guerlain scents) with the rose, tonka bean, resins, Iris.
The contemporary side in this scent comes from the citrus notes that cuts subtly this powdery sweetness together with the musk at the end.
That´s why edt is more fresh and delicate than the edp and also more wearable during day time in spring/summer. But the “Guerlain” DNA: their unmistakable powdery class and the proper elegance of Insolence identity, given by this modern and young violet are present in both versions.
For me the most amazing and modern violet scent creation (edt and edp) after the 70´s and 80´s with all the guerlainish class, elegance and top “savoir faire”.

I stumbled across this bottle and bought it blind and I am so glad I did. I knew I’d wanted a good violet in my life and this is a great candied violet that goes incredibly well with the raspberry. Absolutely wonderful!

When Insolence was lunch I was really eager to smell it because I adore violet. Sadly, it was not a love at first sniff. The Guerlain I love and wear where the Chypre ones like Mitsouko, Vol de nuit and Parure. Insolence was a bit too sweet and loud for my taste back then. Recently I explored the gourmand territory and was really surprise to like some sweet stuff. So now I can deal with the sweet side of Insolence. It’s not my favorite Guerlain but when I saw a bottle at $15, I jump on it. The original bottle design by the great artist Serge Mansau is like a little sculpture. Sadly, Guerlain use the abeille/bee bottle for Insolence now.As a design lover and fan of Serge Mansau, my ”vintage” Insolence bottle is priceless.

The tricks the nose plays: all I get from this is heavy tuberose (which I detest) and there is not even tuberose in this. Headache inducing (because of the stroong tuberose smell) but super long lasting and with heavy sillage for 3/4 hours. Even the dupe had the same heavy tuberose smell. And I love violet…

Mmmm I love this! At first spray I get violets and fluffy pink bubblegum that then turns into a beautiful soft musk and honey…with soapy incense. It’s SUUUUPER strong, one spray on my wrist and the whole room is full of Insolence- my baby now smells of it too! I think he smells delicious 🙂

This was the fragrance that made me accept the fact that Guerlain fragrances & I do not get along. Bought a bottle because it was on sale & because of the good reviews I read. Instant headache, & I’m not fragrance sensitive at all. Probably the biggest blind buy mistake of my life

    Feminine, powdery, flirty violet scent!
There is a very distinct smell. I really loved it very much!
Meteorites series also smell Incolence. It lasts for hours on skin, and days on clothes.

For the record, I tried the EDT in the frosted glass bottle, not the one pictured. It was love at first sniff. This is the most heavenly powdery violet-rose I have ever encountered, but not the innocent baby-like type. The resins and citrus give it a subtle but noticeable femininity. One spray lasted a good 6 hours with moderate sillage. This is definitely the winner of My Next Perfume award. 🙂

If edp is more floral (violet) and noble, this edt is sweet and very raspberry. Maybe Hanae Mori lovers will like it, but this edt is more powdery.
It’s yummy. Generally, I like it. If I didn’t have Hanae Mori, I would buy it maybe. I usually don’t like raspberry in fragrances, but this one is well done.

I just got this perfume and I brought it on a blind buy (well after reading the reviews on here). I must say I absolutely love it….So glad I took a chance. It’s strong so you only need a little bit…I have no idea how to describe it other than its a complex, ultra feminine, warrior chic type of scent. It’s for the woman who knows what she wants and gets it.

  20. :

To me this scent is a current day version of the classic L’Heure Bleue, which incidentally was one of my very first perfumes. I always found it slightly irritating especially after a while, the scent was too much, but kept getting complimented on it – its one of these strange like it but don’t like it scents. Its quite heavy and definitely noticeable, I tend to veer towards much lighter and brighter, but still complex frangrances these days. So – there is something in this that I really like AND something that also irritates me 🙂

  21. :

I love this, and the fact that where I live not many people wear it. It tends to be overlooked so it’s nice smelling original in a pleasant yet sexy (in my opinion) fragrance. I feel like it’s really unique with how the violets and berries blend without being relegating to ‘laundry powder’. I think that a close comparison I could make would be Dior Pure Poison which I tired of after forcing myself to wear it being one of my few high end perfumes at the time. Don’t get me wrong, pure poison is worthy of the love it gets for being unashamedly itself in all its glory. But while I didn’t mind it I would be told I smelled of washing powder constantly. Then I discovered Insolence and fell head over heels. I have another flanker on the way too. But it is worth noting that the edt is very different from the edp. I definitely prefer the edt as rare as that is. It’s softer but still has staying power. This is an absolutely brilliant fragrance and one of my secret weapons so to speak! I’m still deciding on if to get my insolence.

I like very much how this smells from the beginning, but the tonka beans start to come through and gives it gourmand vanilla kind tone which I don’t like.
I think withouth that tonka base note I would really love this.
Maybe there is some other fresher Insolence to me, like Insolence Blooming or Insolence Eau Glacee, but hard to tell, I Would love to get some samples to buy.

Having been an avid palma violet sweet eater as a child – walking home from school buying 10 packets at 5 p each and excitedly smelling and rubbing on my skin for that palma violet note / i have now found my little nostalgic guilty pleasure . I do find this a very niche perfume .. nobody i knew back then liked the taste or smell of palma violets .. and to this day i do not think they are that popular .
I believe this perfume has many many elements , but this is what sticks out to me:
First spray -is a strong powdery fruity zesty bouquet , i must admit it can be a little chaotic at first – kind of like a mad friday dash
But give it time – iris and rose come through – with a touch of tonka bean
Then my all time fave sweety palma violet with a hint of rasberry and orange appear ..
dry down is just pure sweet palma violets.. subtle iris and Sweet raisins ..such powdery sweet. Bliss .
    10/10
Staying power is immense ! All day and then some . Sillage amazing 10/10

It’s too strong for me and the violet-iris mixture is overwhelming. It’s alright in 30 minutes, but it’s too specific and sharp at first and maybe i’ll pass.

  25. :

I prefer the Eau glacée by a mile and a half. This is too powdery for moi.
I don’t mind it at all, it’a actually a very beautiful feminine violet/iris and berry scent. It just doesn’t work on me.
Would recommend to try before buying

  26. :

Violet hugging raspberry and creating sweet (for me too much), soft and cozy powdery scent. It’s not something I would wear, but I can see why some people like it.
To me it smells like a cotton candy or expensive powder, make up.
    To me 6/10.

I had a tiny bottle of this a few years back (one 5ml in a multi-pack by Guerlain). I loved it and remember loving it and so decided to by a bottle with some Christmas money, I was craving a powdery purple flower scent.
I am glad I did. Its stunning, sweet, powdery, clean and warm.
I got this in the beautiful vintage bee bottle – I adore it. Smells just as nice as it looks.
Longevity is good on me – sprayed it last night when I went out with friends and smelt it on my wrist this morning upon waking.
It will be a repurchase for me when I run out, I hope the new Bee Bottles are here to stay. Very chic!

A ton of sugary violet and rose. Very good projection. Dries down to a generic berry sweetness on me. Reminds me of YSL Parisienne.

What a beauty! It opens as a dry, cold powder – I typically struggle with those type of scents, because they’re usually paired with licorice. Thank god Insolence has licorice nowhere in sight. This could easily be a younger, more modern version of L’Heure Bleue thanks to that little hint of sweet berry which adds some sparkle to this violet and iris powder bomb.
After a few hours this scent really blooms into it’s peak sweetness when the scent transforms from a dusting of scented face powder to a creamy high-end tube of lipstick.
Anyone who adores powdery makeup/lipstick scents will want this in their collection. It’s truly an elegant experience.

This fragrance is so beautiful. It’s everything a perfume should be and smell like. Classy. Not a teeny bop syrup perfume at all ladies. This is for mature females young and older. I have the edt but it’s so strong and long lasting. It’s powdery like your makeup, then sweet violet blended with the raspberry. I also smell the rose so heavy I am in love! Classy, Elegant,Smart,Sophisticated ladies this is your fragrance! Xo

I have had this one when I was in high school and I really enjoyed wearing it – a bottle lasted a whole year, I still keep it and smell it from time to time. It’s so feminine and inviting, but at the same time far from typical or boring. Maybe someday I will purchase it again. Definitely a fragrance that makes me smile, very suitable for spring, could be worn with casual or more official clothes, more or less makeup and for almost any occasion I could think of. Unique but versatile, I love it. Sillage and longevity are great. 🙂

I feel such a beautiful candied raspberry here, along with the powdery violet. Very unique, like all the Insolence line. Kind of an addicted scent. This one screams for hugs. It’s different from the EDP and deffinitely worth having both.

They should change the name of this perfume from Insolence to Innocence. It smells like baby cupid flying around in rosy clouds. And the new bee bottle is beautiful. That frosty pink color!

  34. :

    3 out of 5

Such a delicate soft beauty. Like floating on a cloud. Feminine, and alluring. Not overly sweet. A nice berry/floral of comfort. Longevity is good as well as projection.
I have also noticed that Insolence and Pink Extasy by Montale share a kinship. They are very similar. Xox
Always a love for me and my Guerlains.

Berry and violet candies, for sure, but the drydown is a sweet nag champa incense on me.
    Love it.

So I finally found a store that had a tester of Insolence EDT and it’s a love! I was convinced I wouldn’t like it and was ready to dismiss it, but my oh my, this is lovely!
To me, this smells like sweet berry candy with a touch of powder. The powder does let go after a bit, leaving you with just the candy, sweet and tart. It reminds me a bit of those Rockets or SweetTarts candies without actually smelling childish/juvenile.
This is definitely going on my want list!

  38. :

    4 out of 5

I’m sorry, but I despise this. The EDT is a girl’s scent, like a cheap deodorant. Definitely not something I’d like to be caught wearing at even my worst of moments. Do yourself a favour and go for the EDP

  39. :

    5 out of 5

A full sized bottle has been on my want list from the moment I first tried it. However my recent experience hasn’t been very good after becoming very nauseated from the very strong powder smell. It felt very suffocating with the over abundance of vanilla, powder and everything sweet. I couldn’t wait to wash it off but could still smell it on me after doing so. Safe to say that it does have amazing staying power as it lingered for days in my clothes and bedding. Maybe I oversprayed but that was with a spray on each wrist.

  40. :

    5 out of 5

I just sprayed from the original bottle of this I got shortly after it was released in 2006, and it’s still a complete beast of a perfume. One tiny spray is enough to create a nuclear fallout of violets and red berries. Though I am enamoured by this scent, it’s strength is still too much for me. I gave my bottle to my mother many years ago, who loves it and doesn’t have the sensitivity problem I do. Sometimes perfumes you appreciate, are just not comfortable to wear. But at least I can sneak a spray to reminisce whenever I’m home. Every now and then the masochist in me craves some death by violets.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

This fabulous perfume reminds me of bubblegum. It’s a classy, elegant piece of bubblegum. I think this is the effect of the raspberry, tonka and resin notes. The violet is also sweet. This note reminds me of violet candies. I can picture a woman in a pink buisiness suit when I smell this scent. She wears the Guerlain elegance in a serious way but she’s also a lot of fun! I Love this combination. The citrus notes are fresh and subtile in the opening. They go very well with the fresh, feminine florals. The sandalwood and musk become more noticable at the end of the day. I love it!

I had bought Love, Chloe for the second time (as I was craving for something elegant and powdery). I had worn it around 2 years ago and I was missing that soapy-powderyness!
I didn’t open the box when I returned home from Sephora (luckily!).
The very next day I heard a dear friend of mine praising Insolence and I thought “let’s try it” (I don’t know how I hadn’t until then).
When I did… OmG! I just loved it.
It’s powdery, given the iris role in this composition and it just is a happy scent. Strong and soft simultaneously, very feminine and happy. But definitely Not in a girly way…
I love Love, Chloe, but I think it has a nostalgic side to it that in this moment in my life I don’t need. I need something that instantly makes me feel happy.
I exchanged Love, Chloe for Insolence EDT. And I do not regret it. (Still love LC, though)

This is to me is the feeling like those old Herbal Essences shampoo commercials….”Yes..YES…YES!!!”
This to me is a sexy seductive fragrance. There is a sweetness, but also the muskiness and sandalwood come through to keep this from being a sugar-bomb. I do not think this is a sweet as candy scent meant for young 20-somethings or teens; this to me is a grown woman’s fragrance. Sexy, but not cathouse scent. Classy. The sandalwood lends a warmth. This is sexy, but also let’s cuddle and watch movies. Definitely ‘come closer..I smell yummy…’ but not the overly sweet candy bomb yummy, so that brings this for me to a more mature woman who wants to be and is sexy.. I would bathe in this if I could!!
That all said, I do not think this is office appropriate, I guess depending on your office, though..haha! Or maybe (obviously, as reading the reviews) this just translates differently for different women. For me, this is something I want to wear when I want to grab my man’s attention and..get closer… ;o) The bottle is also a cool design. Comfy in the hands and easy to spray, which my bad wrists appreciate.

  46. :

I don’t see this as a seductive or naughty fragrance. I wore this on my wedding day. It feels very ‘royal’ to me but a young royal – like a Kate Middleton royal haha. I now wear it only occasionally.

  47. :

    4 out of 5

As the title underlines this is a naughty perfume for naughty girls. It opens with a fruity cocktail with a bitter note. It is a juicy sparkling opening. After a while, a powdery violet appears and dominates the heart of the perfume. The tonka from the base gives a sweet touch to this graceful violet.
Although it is a floral fruity it has something classic and warm. The fruitiness is fun, light and nasty. It suits the playful, challenging women. It is a perfume full of challenges and not simple at all, as one might think. It has its own trace, a powdery one, soaked in violet. Violet is such a pretty and lovely flower and this perfume highlights it in its own way. Nice bottle, nice liquid.
If you want to try a different floral fruity, with a wonderful creamy violet, with a naughty touch, made by two of the best perfumers, than this is the one. One of the prettiest violet fragrance.

I just got an EDP version of this fragrance! I have always had the EDT and never knew an EDP was available until recently. Guess I am far behind the times! The EDP version is not as sharp to my nose as the EDT and I do love it even more so. The notes are very much the same only even more elegant and it last forever on my skin and clothes! Such a wonderful classic scent from Guerlain. I hope they never change the formula, nor discontinue this beautiful scent.

Elegant fruity floral.long lasting and complex.I detect mostly violet, raspberry, iris and cranberry. It’s slightly powdery and barely sweet. Not exactly my cup of tea but definitely impressive and worth trying.

  52. :

I love this perfume SO much that I do own both the EDP and EDT, and I definitely have my feet planted firmly in the Team EDP boat. I’d say that if you have one, you don’t really need the other, but if you love this fragrance or are crazy about violets just as much as I do, go ahead and knock yourself out. 🙂
The first thing you’ll notice is that the EDT right off the bat has a lot of ‘pinkness’ to it; you can sense right away that it is a more youthful version, and the fluffier, girly frou-frou version of the two. In the EDT, you’re hit with the candied hairspray note right away along with raspberry; it’s not in the official note description but when compared with the EDP, the EDT has an unmistakable cotton candy (ethyl maltol) note. The EDP is more linear in its development, but is a lot richer and dense throughout its evolution; you get the powder and candied Parma violets right away, but it’s also a lot woodier, darker, spicier, and deeper in every way you can think of. Both have an anisic powder quality to it, although it’s more intensive in the EDP. The best part of both of these are the drydowns, as this really beautiful vanilla tonka bean note appears. The EDT has a more sugary renditiion of it, whilst the EDP has some more sandalwood to balance it. There is definitely an undeniable ‘gothic’ quality to the EDP that can also be sensed in Lolita Lempicka EDP. The EDP is more mysterious, yet campy and kitschy in her sexuality like Elivra, whilst the EDT is bubbly, ditzy, but still very composed, like Carrie Bradshaw out for a night on the town. The EDT in its drydown is more bubblegum-like and has less violet and more vegetal iris in its drydown, whilst the EDP is full-blown ‘violets on crack’, as ouch110 puts it. The EDP is more of a giant violet soliflore with every other note only acting as an accent to it, coloured a deep radioactive purple, while the EDT is the girliest of pinks, being the ultimate fruity floral.
On initial spray, the EDT and EDP seem to be of equal sillage and strength but in the end, the EDP is definitely better in both regards. Still, the EDT is very impressive for being an EDT.

  53. :

very similar to the now defunct Tuca Tuca by Lush, but with (only slightly) more subtlety, in keeping with Guerlain’s love of good blending and a spot of Guerlinade in the base. But I suspect Tuca Tuca’s ingredients may be more natural and less chemical than Insolence’s EDT.
A cloying violet perfume which goes very well with a Goth look, but it is unfortunately also quite headache-inducing as it’s relentless in its sillage and strength, almost in pursuit of shock tactics.
Justly called Insolence as it’s too posh to call it Vulgarity.

I just received this today and decided to try it after I showered. It’s been about 5 hours and is still going strong. My husband noticed it immediately as something “new” and gave it thumbs up. I think “sassy!” would be a good description for this fragrance.

I got this as a Valentine’s Day gift from my sweetheart. <3 I have coveted this perfume for ages now, as a huge fan of violets, I knew I had to try it! The scent itself is challenging for me to put into words. In the opening it’s bright and radiant, the raspberry and citrus explode from the first spray. While, I’m not a huge fan of citrus fragrances this one really surprised me! My favorite part about this fragrance is the heart. I can clearly detect the violets, orange blossom, pulverized fruit, and a slight powdery note. Insolence to me is chic, bold, and completely carefree. I love this perfume dearly, not only for the sentimental value it holds in my heart, but also because it makes me feel empowered and confident, while still being very girly and fun. I would love to try the EDP version, and I get the feeling I will love it unconditionally. Though, I’m not sure I will ever be fully able to express it. Insolence is the scent of my blooming romance, I will cherish it forever.
Longevity: 5-6 hours on my skin before fading into a subtle whisper of powdery violets and tonka bean.
Sillage: Moderate to heavy – go easy on the trigger!
Overall rating: 9/10 – It’s not a creamy, smooth fragrance at all. This is when i’m in the mood to be daring. <3

Guerlain Insolence is really not powdery. It only has a slight “feeling” of powder, chic powdery, not real powder. If you love powder, mix this with Ulrich Varens Ciel to get a real powder base. This mixture calms the sharpness of the tart fruit and smooths out Insolence beautifully, making it smell richer and expensive, rather than like a common tart fruity concoction. This combination also smooths out the Guerlain base, gently sweetening the bitterness of the musk, adding a seductive feminine charm. Ciel also helps this Insolence last longer with better projection.

I used to love it but then I accidentally stumbled upon Insolence in the purple bottle. Try that one instead of this one, it’s the same scent but sillage and longevity are WAY up compared to this variant.

I’m going to quote other reviewers here because they’ve done such a bang-up job of descriptions.
“Insolence is not a simple perfume to describe… very modern Guerlain scent…but yet I’m not sure if it matches my chemistry…it is a sophisticated adult twist on a young floral scent…the word insolence is defined as bold disrespect and impudence…I find nothing of that definition matching with the feeling or theme of this perfume or bottle…the perfume is cutesy, youthful, playful, and adorable…unlike so many others on the market for the past 15 years or so: unsubtle gourmand scents dominated by excessive artificial fruit and vanilla– Insolence manages to combine them in a balanced, even sophisticated, way with florals…the scent is gentle and delicate, while at the same time there is clearly art involved in the creation of this youthful fragrance…it’s sugared violets, violet syrup, plum wine, then a swirl of creamy…the most beautiful powdery violets and velvety rose, delicious fruits and even a bit of citrus. Lovely, powdery soft but strong, sweet, rich and elegant, romantic perfume…”
I detect none of the base notes at all …NONE. It’s Guerlain! But not for my chemistry, or tastes.
I have a dabber bottle up of the EDT available. PM me.

I love this weird, technicolor to the point of vibrational, blend.
It’s sugared violets, violet syrup, plum wine, then a swirl of creamy woods that remind me of sandalwood paste, somehow never too sweet (can you imagine that’s possible, from what I’ve just written?!), a wash of benzoin, then back to the violets but this time, there’s a crunchy, sweet orris root kick. Back to the soft, creamy woods. Sweet cashmere. Hard root beer candies. Then, soft freshness like the coziest linen you’ve ever rolled in. A hush of dry grass and sweet tonka, resembling a steaming, distant pot of coffee. Quiet, nocturnal orris on a damp starry night.
The violet and liquored rose color of this juice fits perfectly and the “Guggenheim Museum” swirl of the bottle communicates how this vibrant fragrance moves around you and envelopes you in an experience that jumps and darts around like electrons of an atom, rather than steadily progresses through stages.
It’s sweet in the earthy way that violet-rose fonds often are but not so sweet to be a candied gourmand. The woods maintain a dry buzz underneath the violet liquor that keeps things grounded. I actually think this is one of Guerlain’s most fascinating scents and very different from their more classic and predictable offerings.

Guerlainade + bubblegum is indeed getting close to what’s going on in this one. Still, this one is sharper and more floral than I remember My Insolence being, so I guess that one leans more to the latter, this one to the former.
I don’t see what’s so insolent about this one scent-wise, it’s a kind of pinkish purplish (I guess that makes the color violet) soupy simmery concoction of berry juice, violet and iris with a touch of musky rose and generic base notes. I guess the insolence comes from the sillage, because HOLY SHIT THAT IS RADIATING *A LOT* FROM MY ARM. Go lightly with this one or be insolent and don’t. Though in that case I would feel sorry for any asthmatics or migraine sufferers around you.

    Guerlainade + bubblegum.
Once it dries down it gets a little more interesting. I can pick out the violet, raspberry and musk as distinct notes, plus something vaguely woody that might be the sandalwood. But by this point the perfume is so faint I have to press my nose to my wrist to smell anything at all.
    No.

GUERLAIN WHY DID YOU DO ME DIRTY LIKE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay so it smells like Mistolin Baby. That’s a cleaning product in case you were wondering. Yeah I’m BEYOND upset. PERFECT sillage and AMAZING longevity-Smells like Mistolin, I cannot overlook that. Anyone wanna trade for a basically unused 1 oz bottle? Hit me up.

I own and love Insolence EDP and My Insolence. I assumed Insolence EDT would be a safe blind but for me. I was wrong. I don’t like this one. I love the EDP because it’s so in your face unapologetic violet explosion, so overbearing “I’m Violet! Love me or hate me, you can never say I’m not being myself!” And I love My Insolence because she’s such a girl! She loves everything pink and fluffy. She’s into sweets and kittens. Soft, innocent but a little cheeky. Insolence EDT on the other hand is mediocre. She makes no real statement. Smells like hairspray in the beginning and then has none of the power of the EDP or girlish fruity charm of My Insolence. A subtle violet with a hint of berry. I suppose it’s not bad, only boring powdery scent. Maybe I would have liked it if I tried it first, but I didn’t and I don’t.

I’m a fruity floral lover and have been a bit hesitant when it comes to Guerlain perfumes as I associate them being challenging. Well, no longer. I miss the good old quality perfumes that were easily found back in the days, and that is what appealed to me in Guerlain. First I fell in love with La Petite Robe Noir EdP. Soon after I researched more and found Insolence to be a good candidate. No where to be found in stores, so a blind buy for a reasonable price. I’m so happy! It has that old school charm I have been missing, lovely and feminin soft warm cloud surrounds me.

Insolence is divine and delicious. The most beautiful powdery violets! And velvety rose, and gorgeous resins, delicious fruits and even a bit of citrus. Lovely, powdery soft but strong, sweet, rich and elegant, romantic perfume. Fantastic. Gorgeous!

This perfume is divine. Yes, the violets are dominant. Yet it dries down sweet. I am in love with this perfume.

I must say that this is the ONLY fragrance that I own and LOVE equally EVERY flanker! I put this on around 2pm today and have been running errands, hauling things, working by butt off and sweating! It is now 7pm and this is STILL going super strong. I can even smell its sillage to my nose after my body core temperature has cooled down completely. Absolutely amazing juice…….take your pick as to which you might like to experience first. You HAVE to LOVE violets though lol
