Description

Prada Infusion d’Iris was introduces in 2007 as oriental-woodsy fragrance. The name of this fragrance was inspired by the old method of producing iris extract which took six months of soaking until the sweetly fresh iris notes were extracted.

This modern and elegant fragrance opens with notes of mandarin, galbanum, orange and orange blossom which lead to the heart composed of iris, cedar and vetiver. The base is composed of incense and benzoin.

The fragrance was designed by Daniela Roche-Andrier of Givaudan. It is captured in an elegant glass bottle reminiscent of retro perfume bottles.

It is available as 50ml (1.7 fl.oz.), 100ml (3.4 fl.oz.) and 200ml (6.9 fl.oz.) EDP and as pure perfume in 3.5ml (0.12 fl.oz.) and 7.5ml (0.26 fl.oz.) sizes.

The nose behind this fragrance is Daniela (Roche) Andrier.

This is cool, soft powder–the texture of a misty gray morning.
It is soft yet crisp, delicate with a subtle edge–conveying the many facets of iris/orris root with the supporting notes that I can identify: neroli, cedar, a whisp of smoke and a touch of citrus at the top.
It is soft, and does not project very much after the first hour, but it is so beautiful. I love iris, though, so I might be biased.

I just rebought a bottle of you, oh you divine Prada Iris. I didnt know how much I really missed you until today. Smooth, smoky, powdery and super feminine. I adore you. Silage is discrete and longevity is average. Super powder pufffy and cotton clean. A little gem in a Nice bottle.

A new classic. Prada Infusion D’Iris is the perfect marriage of resins and powdery florals. Unless they recreate the original formula nothing will beat what this fragrance achieved in terms of balsamic iris. I’ve never tried the 2015 and probably won’t. I can’t stand to see this one go down like that if what I read is true. They never should have messed with it because it was perfect the way it was.
My bottle is from 2010 and I have absolutely no complaints about longevity. I pulled it out today and sprayed it on at 11am. By 5pm it was very much in tact and detectable to the point I didn’t feel the need to reapply. Because it is no longer available I wear it sparingly and had forgotten whether it was truly lasting or as fleeting as many here say. I went in with a fresh nose and knowing it isn’t meant to be a big projector. I analyzed it’s wear time from a fairly objective stand point. It was a busy day by all accounts and it lasted on my perfume eating skin beautifully until around 9pm. Only then did it begin to fade away into nothingness. My point is that this formula, the original, yes is a soft sillage scent. It’s like an extension of your own skin and it’s meant to be. But lasting power really is exceptional, especially given how soft it is, and I didn’t overspray. So, if you’re used to dark, heavy orientals this could be too faint at first and you may go anosmic to it. I notice it’s best enjoyed after I’ve given my nose a proper rest from those highly stimulating fragrances. It’s not a screamer, more of a soft speaker. Infusion D’Iris is just the kind of scent a warm embrace calls for.

Quite a nice, soft smell but the weakest longevity ever! In my opinion not worth the money.

Today I’ve sprayed a lot of this perfume simply because I adore it.
This is one of the best iris fragrances out there even if not the best.
The opening is fresh… but an unusual kind of. It’s incomparable green and there’s a unique iris accord in this one along with some soapyness. The Iris smells powdery and it’s so comforting and calming somehow. It’s a relaxing scent and so pleasant to inhale it.
In the heart it becomes noticeably woodier but still fresh and clean – almost detergenty smelling (in a luxurious way). It’s sophisticated on the one side and so versatile on the other.
The dry down is never drifting towards sweet territories – it stays pretty sober and grownup.
The longevity is moderate if you spray a generous amount of perfume. Feel free to overspray this because otherwise it won’t last.
The nose behind Infusion d’Iris is Daniela Roche-Andrier and she said that this is probably her favorite composition of all time.

I just lucked out on a 2014 bottle (I even bought another/the last one after sniffing mine) and I loooove this. I have yet to wear it proper, but instead of a light/weak “No. 19” green powder like the 2015 formula, I DEF get the incense/woods. And that makes all the diff. It’s still powdery and fresh, but that richness…. mmmmmm….. I hope this lasts better than the 2015.

Dear fellow fragrantica members, I would like to kindly ask your help in understanding the issue of the reformulation of this scent. I was (God only knows why) under the impression that the new version/reformulation of 2015 would not affect the production of this, that is, the original. Incredibly stupid, I know. But I would really like to ask any of you who might know more on the subject: is this version officially discontinued and substituted by the 2015 watered-down version? If so, mercy…

On my skin the neroli is as noticeable as the iris, maybe this should be renamed “infusion d’neroli”.The iris is slightly bitter, powdery, and soapy. It’s a green iris, which I can tolerate. The benzoin rounds out this scent, balancing the cold aspects of iris with the warmth of resins.
This is perfect for summer, an everyday scent that will not offend anyone around you. I like it, I might buy a small decant for next summer.

Although I did not care much for this at first, I’m beginning to get it’s charm. It’s clean, elegant, formal, appropriate anywhere, even at a funeral. It’s not inviting you to sniff closer and ask what is it, it’s asking for respect and keeping a polite distance. Something I imagine a corporate woman would wear. I enjoy it. It has a really great price for how nice it is and I intend to get it for those days when I’m not doing anything special and just stare at all my perfumes and can’t decide on anything to wear because everything it’s either too this or too that. This one isn’t too anything, it appropriate anytime, anywhere.

Best iris ever for my taste. green iris not carroty. Yes powdery but not the choking type. Settles down on your skin to work its magic. Varies for every wearer. It is a true signature scent.
I am in love with it. Curious that i usually dont have it in my closet. I like the idea of longing for it. It makes the reunion more exciting. My beloved one.

All smoke and powder, no fire just fluff.
This is not for me. The sillage is pretty good but the only notes that stick around are the incense and the neroli. I hate neroli (I utter the scent like Seinfield pronounces the name of his arch-nemesis, Newman..grrr…..”Neroli!”) There isn’t any floral or citrus elements which defeats the purpose of having a spring floral scent. I love incense, one of my faves is Magie Noir but this is just 2 dimensional, soapy and blah. “Helloooooo, Neroli…grrrrrrr….Julia is not home!”

I think my mini that i got may have just turned or something…
I got a giftset of the edt, edp, absolue and two of from the candy line; and the edp in this set has much more strength; still a soft fragrance in general, but it hung on for longer and the notes were more discernable. It had a much stronger smokyness in the drydown, im so happy i can get that beautiful clean vintage iris scent ive been longing for.
Such a shame that theyve reformulated though; the incense is by far the best part

@conti-alessia… that´s so very true. Only by mistake I sprayed some Fleur d’Oranger in my mouth ans was very susprised that the taste of it was even better than the smell, no bitterness, no chemicals, nothing disagrable at all, it could be easely food flavouring as far as I am concerned. Thses Infusions, at least the old formulas, ae simply the best. Of course they are not for every occasion or event, but as far as clean scents, there’s nothing better. And to think the prices some people pay for some niches… that copy other scents … Prada is dirt cheap …

    PRE-REFORMULATION
Miuccia Prada has a particular IRIS in mind … it’s 2007 and Daniela Roche Andrier (Givaudan) creates this olfactory work by deciding to bet everything on a quality formula: in fact, in the olfactory pyramid we find the mastic of lentisk which is a resin very rare and expensive rubber.
This resin, together with the noble Iris pulverized by a new generation moss, mixed with benzoin, orange blossom and galbanum, incense and cedar of Lebanon, The outcome is remarkable, it is bright and appears to be a unisex ideal.
Andrier describes the fragrance she created:
“These perfumes are dreams, they are journeys in Italy, they recall different atmospheres, like the smell of starched linen sheets and fresh mixed with that of bare skin. They are composed of familiar aromas, natural oils and precious extracts. They do not follow olfactory stereotypes. They wrap the woman’s body and clothes like a fresh, delicate, sensual and strong veil »

    Powdery, citrusy, yet boozy!
Nothing offensive here, perfect for day-to-day usage, so comforting, slightly romantic, and cozy fragrance, sillage is not that good, but as I mentioned for day to day use I neglect this detail, cuz the longevity is pretty good, as somebody else mentioned “when u think that the scent has gone, it will come back again to hit your nostrils and say hey I’m still here” so it goes back and forth playing around you, which I enjoy!!
Office friendly, for all year around, good for layering, i’ll Give it 7.5/10.

And the winner for the fragrance with the worlds worst longevity goes toooo…drumroll..
    Prada infusion d iris…
I love the smell of this, have done since i first tried it in about 2010 out, but in Oz it was ridiculously expensive, im talking $180 for 50ml, so i just gave up on ever owning it.
Fast foward 8 years and its about $80 a bottle now, still quite high but i opted for a 8ml mini bottle online and it finally got here this afternoon.
It smelled AH- MAZING for about 7 minutes..then its all but vanished. Its a dabber bottle so i pretty muched slathered it on my neck and back of both hands, and its completely gone, im not sure if others close to me would be able to catch a wiff of it, but i cant smell a thing.
The one i got was the origional which is what i wanted, not the 2015 version, and its as i remember; clean, powdery and a little bit vintage.
Its so much softer and smoother than the infusion d iris absolute, which i bought last year thinking it would satisfy my longing for the origional but as lovely as it was it was too much for me and gave me a headache so i passed it onto my mum.
Im glad i got the small bottle of this, i love the smell of it, which is why i am so sad it doesnt last. But i cant justify paying that nuch for something that wont last even an hour.
Update: So i was actually starting to think that maybe the little bottle i have was either out of date or fake, though i really doubt it as i got it from a highly reputable store that ive used many times and never had an issue.
But last night I figured it out; a little dab on the wrist and neck just wont cut it with IDI, shes so soft that a tiny little amount just vanishes. So i had to practically pour it on my hands and slather it over my neck like a man applyibg aftershave. Only then was I enveloped in a still very delicate cloud of powdery iris and smoky incence.
Needless to say, my little 8ml bottle wont last long applying it like that but it’ll get me through till i can afford a big bottle.
Infusion d’iris, I refuse to give up on this love affair that we have over a liittle longevity issue.

This smells great but has no sillage. Sure you smell great and no one can smell you so half the point of the perfume is lost. Ill enjoy the rest of the bottle since I had been wanting to try this for awhile but I guess Ill just wear it around the house.

I wore this on my wedding day. I felt like it ‘got me’.
I feel like this perfume says: i’m feminine, intellectual, mature but not old, soft but strong, floral but woody and metallic, clean but also earthy.
Now I read the notes I see incense is listed but my nose picked it up in combination with the other notes as vetiver.

Actually, on my skin, this new 2015 version is working better than the old one. I have sampled this a lot, and I always like it. The old one was wonderful, but something in it was not quite right for my skin. This new version is 100 % for me. It might be a full bottle quite soon for me. 🙂

Oh man what more is there to say about this perfume? It was recommended to me by a good looking french speaking sales lady in 2007 in Brussels. I was working at a law firm back then. I wore the heck out of this perfume. Bought it twice, my Mom bought it another 5 times maybe…:) what a master piece. I understand that people may not want to smell it anymore as it has been very popular the last decade and we do get used and bored sometimes by the same, recurring perfumes such as la vie est belle but Infusion DÍris surely deserves respect and adoration.

Hello from Deco Dawn, Prada Infusion D’ Iris, is Clean, fresh, energising, positive and youthful and suitable as a Unisex fragrance. The fragrance conjures up images in my mind of Lake Garda in Italy where I spent the most amazing holiday, with the fresh mountain air and the citrus fruits in the trees. The top notes are a burst of orange, the fragrances settles to reveal the mid notes of iris and the dry down unfolds to a base of cedar, galbanum and is sensual and soft. I spritz a couple of sprays in the morning and it lasts and lasts, a quick refresh in the afternoon and then I am ready to go. I believe this is a daytime fragrance as I do prefer something with a bit more oomph for the evening, but if abroad on holiday in a very hot climate I think that Prada Infusion D’ Iris would be perfect day into night. Screams money, and smells very expensive, and Italian. A very contemporary fragrance, it feels modern and edgy, as are the design packaging and bottle, it’s quite heavy, so not exactly handbag friendly but beautiful on the dressing table. A big thumbs up from Deco Dawn, don’t just try it! Buy it, you will love it.

This is my third bottle of the original Infusin d’Iris. In 2015 it was reformulated, and though I have not sampled it, I have read that it is quite different.
I was lucky enough to score the original composition in good shape off eBay. It’s true that projection is soft, which is fine with me as this is my go-to summer fragrence, and I prefer wearing scents in warm weather that won’t smother those around me.
I wear fragrance first and foremost, for myself. Just because others can’t smell it is not a fatal flaw in its composition.
And I have never smelled an iris I liked better: this floral has a slight powdery effect but with a masculine edge, which I’m assuming is the incense and wood notes. And that’s what makes it so interesting… and different. It’s a clean, pure scent without sweetness or chemical leanings. It smells very natural.
I’m head over heels in love with this and so happy I found it again. Lasts about 3 to 4 hours on me. This review is for the EDP. I can’t imagine wanting it softer so I’d bypass the EDT.
Prada, if you are listening, please bring this back.

I fell in love with this smell at the department store, very unique, feminine but not cloyingly sweet. It brings me to a meditation spa, with citrus, iris and soft wood scent that could make me stay there all day long. I decided to purchase it after coming back for 3 times to make sure i like it and happily sprayed like 10 times on my skin after i got the perfume. It was still good until I went to school and started to feel nauseated. I almost wanted to throw up. Then i come back to the perfume a few times more, spray minimum amount but every time i sniff it it just reminds me of that overspray pain. So i have to sell it to others. Sad.

Infusion d’Iris is more sweet and feminine compared to the Fusion d’Iris Cèdre. The sweet florals and orange fruits create a nice balance to the slightly herbal and woody notes. It’s a subtile, inoffensive perfume which would be safe in any occasion. It’s pretty, soft and simple.

One of those scents that isn’t in your face, but seems to keep you comfortable throughout the entire wearing. First off, the longevity may seem to be an issue but if you give it a little time… it sort of isn’t. For a little while you may smell nothing and then, when you give your wrist a sniff before applying something else, it projects softly outward. It’s really not that strong.
However, the iris is cool and dusty making it very much like dusting powders that are ever so lightly scented. It’s a little monotone in its approach, but it’s 100% effective. However, this is the first time I’ve smelt galbanum in a fragrance where it doesn’t scream. The citruses seem stronger to me, and that’s just plain odd. Iris and incense go exceptionally well here. Incense always translates to my nose as dusty and the iris here is definitely powdery, so the two combine to make something not unlike Tauerade. The cedar in this isn’t exactly strong and doesn’t overwhelm. It’s really just there as an extremely soft base which lasts for roughly 2-3 hours. Arguably better colder weather, but doesn’t overwhelm in the heat. Can’t really go wrong here. Nice for people who don’t want to be noticed all that much or smell anything strong on themselves.
You probably won’t get noticed. Intimate, not loud.

    Piscean-Blue said it all…
Let me just add: Wonderful scent; powdery, fluffy (but not girlish), citrusy, balmy, classy. This is the perfect scent to calm the nerves, go to a wedding or christening, or just simply to give yourself a rest and sit in the garden (or inside lol) and enjoy that you are alive and breathing…

  33. :

    5 out of 5

I heard one reviewer describe this as a more esoteric “zen”-ish fragrance, which intrigued me enough to purchase a bottle. She was so right. This is a calm, soothing, sexless, higher-plane-of-existence type scent. Honestly, it smells like something you’d spray down the walls of a high end spa with.
The opening is a bit medicinal. But if you hang in there for a bit and let it settle down, what you get is a very classy clean affair. Not Ivory or Irish Spring clean. More like a twenty five dollar bar of bespeckled soap you’d pick up at l’Occitane.
Reading the blogs concerning this, apparently a good many people find Infusion d’Iris boring. To a certain sensibility I can see that. If you’re, say, looking for a come-hither romantic number or something cutting edge and exciting, this stuff isn’t for you. It’s not exciting nor is it meant to be. You wouldn’t douse yourself in it to go club hopping. Infusion d’Iris is a scent true introverts can appreciate. The point of spritzing it on isn’t to garner compliments (although, ironically, it certainly does). I would say it has more of an internal effect. It’s what you’d spray on after a good shower to sit by your window in a terrycloth robe, stare out into the night and ponder life. Does a good job of helping to clear the mind and focus one’s thoughts.
Ahem. Well. To sum it up, I likey. One of the few fragrances I think I’ll be repurchasing regularly.
Note: stay away from the eau de toillete and stick to the eau de parfum. The EDT is waaaay too fleeting.

Infusion d’Iris is an abstract and unisex fume good for colder days. It gets powdery almost intantly on skin and mellows down to a soft scent. The incense adds a touch of zen. It is somehow very animalic overall.
Update: smells like diaper and baby butt today…

On me, I struggle to tell the difference between this and Chanel No. 19 Poudre..am I the only one getting this?
In any case, I like it. It’s a fresher iris than No. 19, not the best longevity, stays pretty close to the skin so No. 19 beats it hands down in that department.

    Po l
    I have the men’s edt and women’s edp ,
    Both are very very soft.
So don’t expect crazy room filling fragrance.
    But lasting it deffo is.
So firstly the ladies edp has some iris powder notes but they are mixed in with a lemon grass kind of smell, some incense and soft wood’s , more is going on in the womens than the mens so for some this version will be more interesting. At first spray there is a scanky note , almost like it’s gone off, hang in there for 8 mind as it passes and gets sweeter.
Pleasant enough but more romantic and soft than a sexy fragrance.
The men’s is actually more iris powder than the women’s but is more straightforward. less is happening i don’t really get any wood’s or incense instead the men’s version is fresher and clean like a fresh washed sheet that had comfort fabric softner added.
Neither project much but both are soft and inoffensive.
Maybe that’s part of the charm ?
My hubby says both are overated, but I feel they are meant to be gental and almost skin scents, rather old school collogne like.
I enjoy both versions because I love soapy iris roots the powdery aspects lately, but i am not jumping for joy that I found the one , instead I respect that both are very very nice and that’s cool but maybe I need to look towards Chanel no 19 for more lasting power / omph ?
Soft, pleasant, day time , powdery, expensive smelling,
    But quite watery and safe.
Not much projection but quite lasting for both men’s and women’s.
    Ladies 6 /10
    Men’s 7 / 10
    Edit:
Boy I think I’m falling for the women’s version it’s so lovely!

This seems to be a real ‘marmite’ fragrance (as we say in the U.K.), judging by reviews.
For me, it was hate at first sniff unfortunately.
I like a gentle Iris in a floral blend, but it turns out that when the iris is amped up it makes me feel genuinely and quite startlingly nauseous. I tried this in an airport, just one spray, and I felt I was going to throw up.
Harsh, synthetic Iris with a sickly, old fashioned soap dry down. Unpleasant on my skin, and that’s being polite about it.

Second try of this beautiful fragrance and I absolutely love it! I used to think it is too masculine, but now I discovered her true beauty. The incense is not very powerful, on me this is mainly iris, cedar, galbanum and vetiver. It’s very woodsy and has a mysterious vibe, especially if you are wearing it in a cool night as I do now. Somehow Infusion d’Iris reminds me of my beloved and long lost Voile de jasmine by Bvlgari. Silage and longevity are incredible – just a light spray on my shirt is filling the whole room.I think a guy can perfectly pull this off, it’s a very versatile perfume.

Not a fan. All I was able to smell, was a very strong soap smell, like a Camay bar from the 70’s. It’s pungent and has given me a migraine and nauseousness. I don’t smell anything but soap! Guess it’s going back on Ebay.

Infusion D’Iris is a perfume for a beautiful confident woman like me I wear this perfume for impress people. I was told this parfum smell good on me maybe not so much on all women. Expensive high quality floral parfum. Smell of the most beautiful of flower the iris. She is green with leaves vetiver and wood. Clean and fresh like soap very nice. The perfume lasts long on my skin and makes me feel so good. I recommend this parfum to woman age 25 to 40. Parfum that smell good in the day time for spring summer but is also warm with incense and good for winter. This is like fashion! Smell good on a clean blouse neck scarf and suit or dress.

PRADA Infusion D’Iris invokes memories of a tranquil October.
As the sun shines its pale light upon a crisp late afternoon, daydreaming has never felt indulgent. The wind carries a melody…a symphony only nature can orchestrate. Soft rustlings of bamboo grasses adds a soothing touch to the song birds’ high-pitched trills.
Summer may be long gone but the only cloud over me is a mélange of stimulating aromas. Mystical incense, interlaced with the scent of old books that brought to life childhood fantasies, has never been quite EXUBERANT. An elusive moment of escape from the jungle called “life”!
A spritz is all that’s needed to take me away with this IMMACULATE air enveloping me endlessly.
Modern…ELEGANT…an absolute fit for someone who has an EXPENSIVE taste!

Like I just poured an orange-colored drink on my arm. Not even real orange juice. Just fake Sunny Delight. Incense, citrus, and iris smell very terrible on my skin. Mothballs follow the imitation citrus. Looking forward to washing this off…

I’m so surprised…I wore this yesterday and my boyfriend said I smell AMAZING. Hmm, I think he had Infusion d Homme earlier in life and maybe it reminds him of it. I really like this scent. It doesn’t smell like baby powder and it’s the only powdery scent that doesn’t bother my nose. It’s not the suffocating sort of powder that flies everywhere and floats in the air. It’s a very calm powder that smells dry and stays put on the skin. It honestly smells a little bit like paper and helium. It also reminds me of my cat’s fur, a crisp, freshly ironed dress shirt, and ozone from an air purifier. Very cool scent. I think my Discrete Structures professor wears this, and it suits her well. Very sharp, stylish woman.

I thought I hated powdery scents until I met this one.
I bought Infusion d’iris only because I read the notes listed on the side of the bottle: mandarine d’Italie, néroli de Tunisie, bois de cèdre, benjoin du Laos, encens de Somalie… Sounds pretty perfect to me!
Very fresh iris, approachable, soft mandarine note, little green feeling. And powder.
I wish I would smell the incense in it: honestly I don’t get it. Maybe I should layer this over a “real” incense scent like CdG Avignon!
I really like the idea of this perfume but I don’t wear it that often… Something in it is too much for me. A little too sweet, a little too powdery, a little too commercial.
I have only the eau de parfum, I have always wondered if I would prefer l’eau de toilette.
I don’t really wear it but I like it anyway and keep it for the days where I’m in the mood!

One of my grandmother’s favourite flowers was the iris. She grew them in many colours in the front and back yard. I am intimately familiar with the aroma of iris. This is EXACTLY iris.
This fragrance has a “purity” about it. It is soapy and soft. Super easy to wear, and it is truly a “year round” fragrance thanks to its freshness. It smells like clean linens. It is almost entirely iris shot through with galbanum with a benzoin back.
Prada considers “Les Infusions” to be sexless by “resisting feminine and masculine stereotypes and looking beyond current perfume trends”. I’m not sure why Fragrantica lists any of them as “for women”, because Prada does not.

I feel this scent is over hyped. It is boring. I really do not get any iris. All I get is lemon, grass, cardamom & lime. It smells ordinary, like a cirtusy men’s cologne. I feel the same way about Chanel Cristalle and Chanel No. 19 in they hype department.
I can rather wear a cheapie, like Avon Jet Femme Holiday or Versace Versence or D&G Light Blue or Benetton Paridiso Inferno Pink for a better impact.

soft iris perfume, reminds me of the inside of women bag. But the longevity and sillage are non-existent, I think I have stronger-smelling and longer-lasting soap in my cupboard

Not as earthly as “Hiris” by Hermès, not as powdery as “N°19 Poudre” by Chanel, not as animalic as “Clair de Musc” by Lutens.
“Infusion d’Iris” plays its own woodsy game. You can smell the roots of the plant, but it remains very soft compared with “Hiris”, which evokes vegetables in a garden. Prada’s perfume is most of all a clean and fresh iris fragrance. It has a good lasting power and retains all its qualities over time, never becoming sour.
Very nice, all in all. I recommend to wear it directly on your skin, and to overlay it on other scents (iris-based ones, for instance).

This is discontinued, together with all of the original Prada perfumes with this bottle until 2010, like Infusion d’Tubereuse, Flerur de Oranger and Vetiver. But almost all of them are kind of relaunched in 2015 as a part of Pradas new Les Infusions line, and it’s new name is simply Iris. They are almost looking like the same, just the bottom of the bottles are lightly colored, and the fragrances are a bit different. The new ones are smoother and weaker, for example by Iris the Mastic note is missing, so its lost its sophisticated minty undertone.

Beautiful in an unexpected way, which is my favorite kind of beauty! Easy to wear, fine for any occasion. I’m not a huge fan of powdery notes, but this one does it beautifully because it is so well balanced. A very unique little gem.

This is sexy in a not as obvious way as most perfumes. Lasts maybe 6 hours and possible more in warm weather. Got the 200ml and travel key chain because i love it that much. I wish there a body oil to this.

My love for powdery, floral, green scents awoke at the scent of this on my sister. After a test of this, it has zero longevity, but the smell of fresh, clean laundry is a refreshing change to the stereotype of what perfume should be.
Should you want to smell scrumptious and delightful in a subtle, innocent way – this is your fragrance. Reminds me of a crisp Spring picnic in a bottle, also of powdery baby lotion in a weird way.
However it will never be more than that so you will be disappointed if you are looking for an Iris scent that radiates from you for hours. Saying that, I would definitely buy a bottle of this even after my sample.

This one smells nice and clean, nothing too deep, too playful, or too elegant. It’s the same smell of a luxury hand soap, a pleasant scent but not with the “perfume-y” quality to it. A flat, not youthful, smell-of-freshly-washed-hands type of scent

Iris powder soap. Old-fashioned, soft, very feminine. None of the previous descriptors are meant in a derogatory manner— on the contrary. Linear and not very long-lasting, but a pleasure to reapply. I wear it when I want to feel feminine and clean, but not in the “clean musk” way, in the Italian iris soap way.

Infusion d’Iris – This is a confident fragrance, bold and quite austere at least to begin with.
The opportunity presented itself for me to take possessiin of a very large bottle and given the reviews here I wondered what could possibly go wrong. I sprayed liberally just as soon as I recieved it.
Unfortunately for me it opens very harshly like the smell of a cleaners cupboard. Ammonia, as another put it, yes quite possibly. I thought for sure I had been duped. The green opening was so intolerable I was upset at what Id received and tried to give it time to settle down. After a lengthy while maybe an hour the scent had scaled back to a more pleasant iris and cedar combo. No incense that I could detect. The initial impact is still enough to make me cringe but the heart is actually clean and fresh, feminine and soapy.
To make this work well for me at least, I would need to apply sparingly and perhaps spray and walk into the cloud and definitely away from the face. And I would be prepared to change up the way I applicate because it is a unique and flattering scent that is summery and sophisticated.
Long lasting and a mile away from the sugar clones in the current market.

Smells lovely in the bottle, terrible on red heads! It turns sour and ammo
