Description

Male companion of the last year’s edition for women Prada Infusion d’Iris, which was also inspired by this version, was created in cooperation with perfumer of the house of Givaudan – Daniela Andrier. It will be presented on Sunday, June 22nd in Milan, at fashion show ready to wear, aimed at male population.

The perfume Infusion d’Homme includes notes of neroli from Tunisia, iris palida, vetiver, cedar, incense and benzoin. Daniela Andrier worked on this composition for years, trying to achieve harmony between style of the house of Prada and balance of the composition.

Just like the version for women, this bottle was designed of heavy, transparent glass, as a modern interpretation of vintage perfumes decanters.

The collection with the fragrancy note of Infusion d’Homme includes bottles in five sizes: 50, 100, 200, 400, 750 ml EDT.

Accompanying program of the fragrancy collection includes 100 ml aftershave, 100ml aftershave balsam, 250 ml bath and a package of soap.
Infusion d’Homme was launched in 2008. The nose behind this fragrance is Daniela (Roche) Andrier.

    ~LIKE~
I’ve had this perfume for ages. It’s a lovely unisex summer scent. It’s a pleasant everyday scent that I really enjoy.
Homme smells fresh and citrusy then dries down to a lovely incense. It’s a cool crisp shower scent. It’s not exciting but something I wear when I want to smell fresh and clean.

Don’t fall for the unisex nonsense. It’s very much Irish Spring on steroids with a soapy, clean, barbershop vibe. Check it out guys if you want a masculine fragrance for the warmer weather. My wife us the most feminine lady I know and if she says this is a masculine scent, I won’t argue with her superior nose.

Homme ???? not sure why this is targeted at male market it is more unisex. powdery iris dominates leaving a clean slightly soapy scent with a suede quality you get from iris. on its own simple fairly linear but is a great mixer. especially sweet vanille or smokey incense. On my skin it has moderate performance but wouldnt wear it for a night out- not at all sexy!!!! perfect for warm spring or summer days as its such a clean simple fragrance.

Soapy, clean, moderate, unisex, it’s like Prada Man (Amber) but without leather.

    Fragrance -Infusion d’Homme Prada
    Bottle from – 2017
Infusion d’Homme opens on my skin with a citrusy, soapy and fresh iris laying on top of a bit green and resinous benzoin.
The main player is iris from the beginning till the end,but Infusion d’Homme is never too floral.
As time goes by,it becomes a bit powdery and woody with a nice touch of clean vetiver.
This is a safe choice for everyday wear when you just want to smell nice and clean.
    Longevity – 7/10(7+hours)
Silage/Projection – 7/10(moderate projection and silage for the first 1-2 hours)
Weather – For more or less any time of year.Best in spring and summer.I personally wouldn’t wear this on a really cold winter days.
    Versatility – 9/10
    Age – 24+
    Compliments – 7/10
    Scent – 8/10
Main notes according to me -iris,neroli,vetiver,benzoin,cedar,green notes.
The drydown is woody and powdery and I get some – benzoin, cedar, olibanum and vetiver.
    Emotions -fresh,clean,elegant,luxurious,class,sophisticated.
Occasion -For more or less any ocasion when you just want to smell nice and clean.
Could be a nice signature scent

If I were to only have one fragrance— this would be it. When I don’t feel in the mood for anything in my collection, or when I don’t feel like putting anything on but I want to wear something (because, otherwise I feel naked), this is what I reach for (or Amber White oil, mostly in the summer/heat).
It is just so soothing, versatile, and unobtrusive.
Shame it was discontinued. I lucked out on a 200 ml. Won’t stop me from enjoying it; and I will l be on the quest to hopefully buy it again once I run out.

This fragrance smells great and lasts all day on me. It’s light and smells powdery and very fresh to me. It’s perfectly unisex. My partner and I both wear and enjoy this one! I’m interested in trying more in the Prada infusions line.

i was very skeptical but i have to say that it’s true: it really smells like a soap. in the opening u can fell some neroli, some iris, then cedar…but basically it is a bar of soap. not in a cheap or unpleasant way, it seems to be a well blended, high quality product. u cant resist to smell your wrist again and again, it’s simple and gorgeous. in the warm weather it shines. i found a 200ml tester for 35 euro, it’s a steal! good for work or formal occasions, performance is good, better in longevity than in projection and sillage. dont blind buy because not everyone likes to smell like a soap but if u love the clean sensation of a laundry scent grab it if u can. sa di pulito ed è piacevole!

Orange is strong for a second, then you start to smell like a freshly changed baby.
Good to douse in after a shower.
But I don’t want to smell like this at work.
    Definitely unisex.
    My bottle is from 2008

I love it! This is the most suitable fragrance for work, and that clean vibe I get from it, it’s beautiful!
My only problem is longevity. 🙁

Best Laundry scent ever! You will smell clean, elegant and fresh. I love to spray this fragrance when I’m wearing a simple white shirt or white tee in the summer. The formulation I own has good longevity and sillage. It is the one with the white cap. Thumbs up!

  16. :

This underrated fragrance is versatile, clean and mature that can easily be worn by male and female.
The projection is not heavy, the longivity is very good and the sillage is moderate.
The house of Prada must bring it back to the market since it is considerated as safe.

so i bought a bottle of this thing at a flea market. according to checkcosmetic it dates all the way back to 2008. at first spray i kept thinking and wondering if i had a fake. it smelled nothing like what you’d expect for something with the word ‘homme’ in the name. then i started reading the reviews…the first one says “smells just like baby powder”…suddenly my concerns were gone. That was exactly my first impression and why i kept wondering if this is men’s. it’s amazing…but I’m a bit self conscious wearing it. of course I only paid $10 for it so I’d say I did good. now if only it were still warm outside.

  19. :

    3 out of 5

It smells like baby powder. The kind you’d probably find at Neiman Marcus (if they sold baby powder). It’s heavy powder, strong iris, clean, leans feminine even though it’s d’Homme.
I like it in the same usage as Mugler Cologne: splash out of the shower and you’ll be inoffensive and smell decent for a bit.
I get above average longevity on my skin (5-7 hours) with light projection.
A 7.0/10 for me. Worth seeking if you need something light and not “cologne smelling” for work/casual use.

  20. :

    3 out of 5

    not quite a love
    but i don’t hate it
    too clean and soapy
even very sharp at the beginning
but then it turns to be softer and more tender
this has no difference with the female version
    beautiful bottle
    the scent is just ok
but definitely reflect the royal side of the iris
would keep it for further try

This smells like an expensive soap, nice clean and powdery. This has a classy vibe and works in any situation – with a suit, on a night out, a date, in the office or in the gym. I get great staying power, this works in any weather but is amazing in high heat. Gets lots of compliments and is inoffensive. Safe blindbuy.

  22. :

    Clean, clean, clean!
Light florals and woods, but mostly an expensive soap smell. That’s not a complaint! This stuff is fantastic!

The boy I love wears this perfume and it smells absolutely amazing. Very soapy, clean, and innocent as well. He just sprays a few drop and all day when he passes… I can chase him without seeing him. Lasts all day long, doesn’t need refreshing. I searched on the internet a lot to find this perfume, and found it. I was wondering what could be on earth smells like that, it is heaven. Very soft. Loved it.

  24. :

I wear this one as a clean, fresh scent when I don’t want to be very loud. It’s going to give off a soapy vibe, but it manages to stay it’s own unique scent. This is the best soapy fragrance I’ve come across. Tops Amber by a longshot!

  25. :

Smells like the cleanest of clean white shirts, and unless you are wearing one, it just doesn’t fit.
I wore it to work a few times and it was cool, but it just lacks a soul.
Amber Pour Homme is much better.

A couple ladies requested this as a scent that would fit me perfectly. so i ponied up and bought the gift set as I was curious of how well this would fit me. Blind buy and ive only had the chance to really wear it twice.
this is suit and tie, spring function wear. wedding dinner rehearsal/reception.it’s lovely. it’s fresh. powdery and just on the male side of the unisex fragrance.
it lasts, has good sillage. totally recommend this to men who are attending outdoor events in the beautiful spring/early summer/early fall weather.

Blind bought this and the reviews were actually spot on this time. This smells exactly like Johnson and Johnson baby powder, shampoo, etc. Luna Rossa peeks through and says hello every now and again especially later in the dry down. If you’re a fan of baby smell, then this is the fragrance for you lol. Not sure how most of these people are smelling iris. I love almost everything Prada but this one is just a like.

to my nose this is iris, vetiver bomb.
it open up with fresh neroli, smell clean and a bit medicinal in a good way.
after 15mins the vetiver show up and add woody essence with slightly sweetness underneath.
i like the sharp and clean opening, but the heart phase make me love this stuff!
i imagine a man dressed up for going up business meeting.
    perfect for professional office work.
i got arm length projection with superb longetivity (8hrs).
Scent: 9 (clean soapy woody scent)
projection: 8 (3hrs and still project)
Longetivity: 9 (8hrs on my dry skin)
Price : 7.5 (reasonable price for prada house)
    true professionalism and sophisticated

  32. :

Out of my 60 odd bottles of fragrances, I gotta say this is the safest of them all and can simply be used in all occasions. Performance is ducking (my iPhone being nice) amazing. Vetiver is pretty offensive to some cause it’s rooty, bitter and earthy But not with this one where it’s blended fantastically with flowers, wood and a tiny pinch of citrus. To put the icing on the skin this uniquely smelling beauty feels sexy and natural.

This stuff disappointed me greatly. It’s so light I can barely smell it.
It starts of as what I can only describe as a slightly sweet, slightly sour chemical smell. After ten minutes it’s virtually disappeared, leaving in its wake a faint smell of slightly sweet nothing-in-particular.

  34. :

  36. :

Ok I was really looking forward to trying this because I like the soapy scents like Gendarme, Mugler Cologne, etc…
But dear god. This is literally just like spraying yourself with a slightly sweet baby powder. Yuck! When wearing this I feel that I smell like a diaper changing room at a daycare center!
    Not for me.

  37. :

    3 out of 5

Gentle, light and powdery. This isn’t a manly man fragrance but rather very unisex. I picture it best on a gentle, soft-spoken, classy, pretty guy – an Eddie Redmayne type. The overabundance of powder isn’t overwhelming probably due to the wealth of fresh, green notes that cut through the powder. The result is clean, soapy and airy. This could easily slide into Hermes’ offerings or the Dior Homme Line. Best for semi-cool autumn days or spring. I wish I was gentle enough to pull this off but it wouldn’t suit me well at all. On the right guy (or girl) the results could be magical.

    montedonio
It’s the most similar to IDH you can get.
The scent is still great but for IDH lovers the absence of vetiver makes it weaker and with less projection.
In my opinion and on my skin, IDH seems to be the perfect fragrance. Very upset that it had being replaced.
I’ve tried to mix and combine Iris Cedre with Tom Ford Grey Vetiver to supply the vetiver absence, but it didn’t work.
After an hour Grey Vetiver was the only thing I could feel.
    Lost my signature 🙁

The author of the book “American Psycho” has failed to mention that Patrick Bateman was wearing Prada Infusion d’Homme as his fragrance. Later on in the movie we see YSL Pour Homme on his bathroom shelf, but no – it should have been Prada.
I can see him applying it at the end of his extensive morning routine, consisting of countless lotions, cleansers, “honey almond body scrub” and exfoliating gel scrubs, mint masks, after shave lotions with no alcohol and of course moisturisers.
Infusion d’Homme is perfect for such a metrosexual man who then proceeds to dressing into his perfectly ironed white shirts and expensive suits to wear to his office on Wall street and who needs his perfume to be in unison with the smell of his squeaky clean body, to not add a different character and give away emotions that are hidden under a mask of a rich aristocratic man.
I also have Prada Infusion d’Iris, and I can say that they are almost identical, with the male version being slightly softer, and both of them being completely unisex, long lasting with a medium village. Both will be perfect for:
Those that are tired of all the popular perfumery that is flooding the modern market.
Those that work as doctors, librarians or in the office.
Those that shouldn’t show their emotions and need to stay professional with a poker face.
Those that are going somewhere where perfume may be inappropriate: funeral, surgery, long distance travels.
Those that are sensitive to perfumes or are pregnant.

this scent always remind me when i was kid.
my mom always bathe me with soap that smelled like this, i think its imperial leather soap.
very calming, fresh, clean and nostalgic.
although not everyone love it, but i think nobody will offended by its scent.
    scent : 8
    longetivity: 8 (8-10hrs)
    projection : 7
for me its the best for office and daily.
but im more like it for ‘bedtime’ scent lol

I got a cute mini 8 ml bottle of this stuff, and that’s some good stuff:) I already knew what i was going to get out of it and it delivered just that, no more no less.
Infusion d’homme is very closely related to Chanel N.19 poudre and Prada infusion d’iris, almost identical (yet one is marketed for men and other two for women; proof that green and chypres really are all unisex).
The iris is powdery, clean and crisp, perhaps less round than in the female counterparts, and all the other notes are there to boost the buttery cold iris and surround it with streamlined modern accords. Nothing really stands out except the cool crisp musky iris. A casual scent that has real class. Even if its quite similar to the other two i mentioned, Infusion d’homme could be a substitute for N.19 poudre as it has better projection. Big like)
    scent: 8/10
    longevity: 6/10
    sillage: 6/10

A great one by Prada. Soft powdery goodness that has amazing longevity on me. Prada and Cartier are the kings of work friendly scents.

It is so lovely scent. Really pleasant, inoffensive and safe fragrance. Even it was EDT but it’s last 5-6 hours on my skin. What i get the most are iris, cedar, vetiver and powder. This perfume reminds me Chanel N.19 EDT and L’Occitane Iris Bleu.

  46. :

I like this one but don’t reach for it often. I mainly wear this after a nighttime shower before going to bed. As everyone has said it’s a light, clean, crisp scent. I don’t associate this with soap necessarily but I don’t use expensive french luxury soap. Someone below said it reminds him of freshly wetted watercolor paper and a freshly ironed linen shirt. These come to mind for me more than soap.
In terms of the so called soapy clean scents, I like Mugler cologne better than this. I do like Infusion D’homme much more than Prada Amber and Gendarme EDP which I both find nauseating.
Update: This one really grew on me, now a fav for a light, clean scent. I went to order another bottle and see now it was discontinued some time ago. I hope Infusion d’iris cedre is a close enough substitute.

  47. :

It’s a “neutral” for me, this IS too much like a fancy soap, like so many people on the web compare this to.
If you’re okay with smelling like a nice feminine leaning soap then you’ll do fine with this one. I purchased a small bottle of this then sold it then somehow ended up with a sample vial and gave it another try, just not for me. “Powdery Notes” and iris indeed, not exactly a scent for impressing.
Why did they hang “d’ home” around this one? They would have been more up front by categorizing it as a UNISEX scent.

  48. :

As a female, I didn’t quite like how this smelled on me because it wasn’t invigorating and refreshing enough, but with time, I fell absolutely head over heels for this addictive scent. It smells very reassuring, luxurious, and reserved– the perfect pick for gentlemen. I personally like to spray this on my bed sheets and pillows because it instantly relaxes me and helps me sleep well.

This isn’t too strong but comes across like the lingering scent of expensive soap. Iris, powder, and some soapy resins. Delightful. Nothing overwhelming but quietly present.

This perfume is wonderful, clean, modern and elegant at the same time. I’m male and I was looking for an office perfume for the colder days in Greece. This seemed to be perfect because it gave me that sence of cleanness, without being aggresive at all. At the same time, though, there was just a feminine hint that left me somehow reserved. So I thought combining this with some vetiver.
This leaded to my secret: I tried that together with a vetiver of the top ones, Vetiver Guerlain. And .. Bingo! They matched perfect, without clashing each other. Both are perfumes with great longevity (8h+), so they make a vibrating mix that releases continiously the fragrance of their natural ingredients. Try that, but take care: don’t spray the one upon the other, but each one at a different side of your neck.

I went for a job interview yesterday and was debating cologne or no cologne. It was for a library position and the library on campus that I mostly live at working on a thesis that appears even to me as the absurd ramblings of a mad man. I digress. It is a university library and well though I almost live there I do not converse with anyone (it is a library). So when you think librarian what scent do you think? Sexy? Outspoken? In your face? Nope, nope, and hell nope… but like Neil Young said even Richard Nixon has God’s soul. So…
I acquired a slightly used bottle of Infusion d`Homme Prada with the thought in the back of my mind, “Do I need to smell like dryer sheets?” I now can say after yesterday, yes! I will add that it is the best damn dryer sheet ever and well I am a new person to this site I am sure it is quality of the sum of it’s parts. It is nice consistent smell on my skin for about 6 hours. A very good work scent… based on where you work. Will I love the scent if I get the job? I suppose at 47 it would depend on how much I want to be reserved in my nature. It is part of my make up but hmm… for 8 hours? Maybe in another 5 years… more like ten for hey I am a man child.
I whole heartedly agree with KLAC91’s comment Whenever I wear this, I would sometimes forget that I’m actually wearing perfume until I get a whiff of some expensive smelling soap and I’m like “Aaaahhh, there you are!” it has such a calm, down to earth demeanor. Understated. Quiet. But lacking in character.

If you are looking for iris as a main note, I believe this is not it. It is overpowered by what manifests as “soapiness,” albiet a classy version. All in all a well done example from prada though. Overall scent may appear to have cloying potential, but the potency is well tamed.

    Infusion D’homme:
Okay, I’m a medical student, and we’ve always been told that we can’t wear heavy perfumes in the hospital cause that can induce sickness in others. So, for a while, I was on the look out for a scent that is just likable. A clean, sterile smell. Now by ‘clean sterile smell’ I don’t mean it smells like bleach or other things they use to clean hospitals, no sir! This smells better than that. What I was trying to say is that, this just smells like fresh linen or a new, crisp, white button up shirt. It smells like someone who’s just gotten out of the shower and used the most expensive hand-milled soap you can find. The neroli and iris combo is very sharp and angular to my nose but the incense and benzoin kind of rounds it out. This is a very quiet perfume, it’s not brash, it doesn’t slap you in the face but it does have presence. Whenever I wear this, I would sometimes forget that I’m actually wearing perfume until I get a whiff of some expensive smelling soap and I’m like “Aaaahhh, there you are!” it has such a calm, down to earth demeanor. Understated. Quiet. But lacking in character.
Side note: This kind of gets boring all too quickly. Now, you know how there are shy and quiet people, but reveal such a colorful personality once you get to know them? And then there are the shy and quiet people that just never go out of their shell? Eternally nice, eternally quiet and good mannered, but also… boring. For the lack of a better word. This is the latter. Whenever I wear it for a few days, by the end of the last day I just could not wait to wash it off my skin! I’m sorry for this, but this is just too cold for me. I need warmth, I need affection, I need SOMETHING ELSE other than SOAP. (Why did I buy the biggest bottle of this?) This doesn’t bring me comfort the way COCO does and it doesn’t drag me into the depths of introspection the way Black Orchid does. It’s just really, really nice. I guess the hunt for the perfect clean scent is still an exploration in progress! (yay!) I’m gonna try Infusion D’Iris or No. 19 Poudre next. Or if you guys have any suggestions about which perfumes could work at a hospital setting, please feel free to message me! 🙂

    Infusion d’Homme will be discontinued?
It begins to be difficult to find it on the shelves of fragrance stores. On the other hand, the new fantastic Infusion d’Iris Cédre, let me rested, because if they end up with the production of Infusion d’Homme, we always have this new renaming – Infusion d’Iris Cedre.
This is a masterpiece from Prada. Unique, discret. My signature scent.

“Soapy” is the word if you were to describes this fragrance in one word.
    Smells like soap or shampoo.
You’d smell like you just stepped out of the shower.
Or maybe you’d smell like a hospital. That sharp smell of floor cleaning products.
It is a decent smell, but I am very disappointed.
Most of Prada’s fragrance smell like each other. Very little variation. Just look at the “This perfume reminds me of” section above.

Clean, quiet and sophisticated, but in a vigorous way, that’s how I describe this perfume.
It has a lot of class and style.
It fits perfectly in my clothing style and life.
    Longevity and projection are excellent.
I am immensely glad I bought this perfume.
It has everything to do with me.
    5 stars.

A bit strange to me, the opening is like I just spilled gin all over my hands. An alcoholic homeless man in his 50’s who fell asleep in a flower garden in the summer right after he took a long bath and washed himself with an orange/citrus soap manufactored in the late eighties. Even as it settles into something smoother I still see that gin bottle being a ingredient into the mid. Smells more “cologne” than “pleasant”. In short; not for everyone and not for me.

Infusion D’homme is a very interesting perfume. I like it a lot, mostly because it is so simple. It’s the perfume camouflaged as body wash. I’ve had people ask me witch shampoo I use 8 hours after applying in the morning. Really a special frag.
The scent itself is linear, and really, really loud in the beginning. Three sprays and I’ll be sneezing and getting a headache. 10 minutes after it has setteld down and smells great. I typically do three sprays, but only under my shirt. It works great for me.
    Scent 8/10
    Projection 9/10
    Longevity 10/10
    Overall: 9/10
Great as a signature, but might be a tad safe/boring for some.

My ideal gym scent. Light, non intrusive, and soapy clean! For warm to hot weather. Non synthetic smell, and will be pleasant to most around you!

Hmm, I love reading all the positive reviews here – I actually agree with much (most) that has been written. It’s just that Prada Infusion brings nausea to my surroundings, too soapy and powdery. Too bad because I think a good scent should stand out a bit but this just doesn’t get approved from ppl near me.

This beautiful, soft, soapy, clean, luxurious fragrance has become my husbands signature scent that I use often on a more casual level. I believe because this fragrance is so sophisticated and classy it is impossible to overdo it, as It will not offend anyone you come across. I use Prada Infusion D’ Iris body lotion as a under layer because D’ Homme does not yet have a body lotion. Iris and Homme are so similar it is the perfect combination for this wonderful scent!

    Rewrite:
My 50ml bottle don’t get to be used much. I prefer de Vetiver over this so, I just wear this at home occasionally. Then I realized that this has a potential. As I’m writing this, I’m not reading other reviews, this is just what I felt with my bottle.
    Effortless sexiness. What d’ya think?
Those of us who own this bottle knows that it doesn’t have a monstrous sillage, it’s rather weak, and I say, wear less of this. Or wait for the right time for an intimate moment with your beloved ones, and this could do an amazing job. You’d be kind/sensible/effortlessly sexy.
And lastly, this is from another reviewer, I agree with you, this has a bit of nausiating factor, so like I said, wear less if this was too much.
    Thanks for reading 🙂

Classic scent. I love it. Last a long time and performance is stellar. Especially for a clean scent. One of my favorite designer scents.

BABY WIPES….I have a love/hate relationship with Infusion D’homme ..The opening smells like neroli and ink while the dry is powdery almost like baby wipes…This is perfect for spring! However, I recommend light sprays (1-2 application to smell clean and airy). I’ve noticed when I do 3 or more sprays the the ink note becomes cloying.

This is soapy. Yes, pretty much everybody said that already, but that’s really the one-word definition of Infusion d’Homme. However, this is as well-made expensive soap smell as there is in a designer perfumery range, and even in the niche range I know.
The pyramid is quite simple. Opening of citruses and, mostly, neroli, paves the way to a gentle iris heart. The iris note is of a soapy, powdery variety, compared to a waxy, lipstick-like iris I usually find in designer perfumery. The base adds a touch of incense and faint woods and a general feeling of muskiness. All those notes, in conjunction, make this perfume feel like a liquid, bottled white linen shirt. Pretty much, a definition of cleanness.
Now, I don’t know how enthusiastic all this may sound, but, to me, it’s so outrageously good. It bodes well with every situation when you want to make a subtle impression rather than a strong, screaming one – it’s ideal for a workplace, for a walk, for any romantic meeting, especially in hotter, summer or spring days. Women can wear this one as much as men can, as it’s, note-wise, pretty genderless, but I feel like it’s tailor-made for gentlemen. White shirt and jeans are what comes to my mind as an ideal outfit to wear this one, but it mostly doesn’t matter, you can wear it with anything, anytime.
Five years have passed since I had and, pretty much, rejected a sample of this little wonder right here. Through those years I found a whole new level of appreciation for this kind of smell, and right now I find those soapy scents a must-try. When I returned to this one, I fell in love with it for the first time, but I don’t think that will end any time soon. Along with Narciso Rodriguez for Him Musk, this is my favorite clean, gentlemanly scent.
    9.25/10

Some may disagree with me about this, but Infusion D’Homme is one of the best designer scents made in the last 10 years imo. I love this scent and own a flacon of it. How does one hate smelling like expensive soap? better yet…How does one hate smelling clean? lol…Maybe this isn’t the scent for some but its a masterpiece to me. This scent is truly Niche quality and can be owned for under $100.
I like Irish Spring in a bottle (Mugler cologne) too, but Infusion isn’t your Walgreen/pharmacy type soap or
