I have been looking for a beautiful lavender that was not a cologne, not too dry and also not the familiar lavender plus vanilla combination and this is it! For me, lavender plus sandalwood (this note is mentioned on the bottle and is clearly discernible) plus incense is exactly right. In the first moments, the lavender veers towards being sharp and bracing but within minutes settles into a smooth rich harmony with the wood and incense. Very soothing, so lovely at night, but also wonderful for the day time.

I bought this one blind because of the ‘balmy’ main accord. I was wrong. It smells cheap. I could try to imagine some lavender in it, but I really can’t find the incense. Sillage? Subtle. Longevity? I don’t know, I want to take a shower now.
