Description
Immortelle L’Amour was introduced in 2007. It is is created to be a love story composed of stormy emotions and a heart aching of love told by the gourmand touch of sweet and fragrant natural components.
The fragrance brings an image of a walk of two lovers, disturbed by the wind and sea spray mist, and their kisses freezing like the maple syrup on the snow.
But the heartache can be cured with the sweet nuances of immortelle absolute blended with the sweet orange and cinnamon. In addition wheat and three kinds of vanilla add a gourmand nuance which reminds of cinnamon pancakes and Tire d’Erable (“taffee on the snow”), bringing the spirit of Quebec and Maple Harvest Festivals.
‘You’ll find it hard to resist licking this perfume, but it will prove to be a true friend for a love-injured heart.’ – says Ayala.
The parfum extrait Immortelle L’Amour comes in 8ml (0.28 oz.fl.) bottle designed in line with Ayala Moriel house. the fragrance is accompanied with complementary tea of unique perfumed aroma, a blend of red rooibos tea, Madagascar vanilla beans, orange peel, cinnamon and calendula petals. Add a touch of maple syrup this tea will bring you a magical experience.

On first sniff, this smells exactly like vanilla extract, straight out of the bottle. It reminds me of mixing up cake or cookie dough flavored with vanilla. It’s not baked cookies, but rather the raw dough, smelling mainly of fresh vanilla. Close up there’s also lots of smoky immortelle absolute. The whole thing gradually evolves into a pancakes-with-maple-syrup scent that I find much too sweet and gourmand.
The one thing that saves this perfume from being sickly sweet is the smokiness, which seems to be a characteristic of all of Ayala Moriel’s scents. There’s supposed to be rooibos tea in here, too, which doesn’t surprise me. I really don’t care for rooibos tea, to drink, or in this perfume. There’s a good bit of vanilla, dough, and maple-syrup sillage, so if you wear this, be prepared for people to ask what’s cooking.
For an all-natural perfume, this one is surprisingly long-lasting. The maple syrup sillage is there for 6-8 hours, at least, and I can still smell it on my skin the next day. I think I’ll pass on this one. I like my pancakes on a plate, not on my body.

First I get some dry spices with a real maple syrup! 😉 Then the maple syrup becomes more soft and vanilla-like. The lasting power is really good (about 10 hours on my “hungry’ skin) but no sillage.
