Description

The high-end fashion designer Elie Saab launched his first fragrance named Le Parfum in 2011. The latest edition Elie Saab Le Parfum Rose Couture comes out in February, 2016. Created by the perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, Rose Couture is derived from the heart of the original and its signature notes of orange blossom, complemented by rose petals.

The composition begins with a combination of orange blossom, silky rose petals and peony. The heart continues with accords of rose nectar, fruity nuances, jasmine and vanilla. The base tops it all with a woody accord of patchouli and sandalwood.

The new face is model Toni Garrn. Rose Couture’s bottle is tinted in pastel pink and decorated with embroidered motifs of rose. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Toilette.

I blind bought Rose Couture and I love it. This is a “rose” version of Elie Saab EDP to my nose. Instead of having orange blossom and honey as the stars, we have rose and caramel. Rose Couture still carries the distinguished and recognizable style of Elie Saab. It is a dense, syrupy, thickly sweet, caramelized and “litchi” rose fragrance, but NOT cloying or sickly sweet at all, as the rose note still stands out strongly. It reminded me of Victoria’s Secret Rose Caramel EDP, but much better, deeper with more layers, more sophisticated, and more “grown up”. I can still smell other beautiful notes in the dry down, such as orange blossom, peach, and jasmine.
If you like Victoria’s Secret Rose Caramel…or sweet/candied rose scent, you would like Rose Couture. At this point, I can safely say that I have not a single perfume by Elie Saab that I do not enjoy. My favorite ones are Le Parfum Intense, this Rose Couture, Le Parfum In white, Le Parfum Resort Collection…

It’s a simple sweet, slightly powdered rose that grows sexier upon drydown.
Nowhere near a gourmand type like La Vie Est Belle but bears elements of LVEB without the blackcurrant (a specific note in that composition is stopping me from buying a bottle). Peony tempers the rose somewhat, and as a pairing it stops this from being a more mature rose. As Le Parfum Rose Couture blooms and develops, the orange blossom comes to party. Obviously, the vanilla and caramel make this delicious but there’s a touch of barely-there brightness from lychee that’s shrouded by peach. Part of me also wants a bigger presence from the bergamot but I guess that’s not what Le Parfum Rose Couture is going for, despite Master Kurkdjian’s intentions with the note pyramid.
Sillage isn’t that great but this is an EDT and I’ve only sprayed on my wrist and I get a whiff every now and then. The original Le Parfum is on my other wrist and after an hour, it’s the only scent I can smell from the two.
Would I buy a bottle? Yes. It’s an easy scent to wear. Perhaps a grab-and-go if roses or gourmands are your thing.
Edit: After drying down even further, the sandalwood is starting to appear, hence the sexier vibe.
Update: Whatever remains of this perfume on my skin is now baby powder. That’s after four to five hours worth of wear.

Loved this perfume: the bottle, the color, the soft roe cords…. everything and someone stoled it!!

I flailed wildly to get away from this perfume the instance my best friend spritzed it on a tester strip, it was nauseating. The reviews here make me want to brave another try, seeing how much I love ES perfumes (Resort is my favourite).
    Will update when I do.

I love elie saab rose couture so much.it’s one of best perfumes I have and it’s my signature now.I don’t like most of elie saab le parfums but this is different and it is very lovely.I love peony and it is full of peony and beautiful pink rose.and I smell sweet and a little sour fruity.I don’t find patchouli.no caramel.but I find in here something that smell like lipstick and powdery.this perfume is feminine and romantic and classy.when I use it everybody love it.I use it everytime.more often at spring and summer.longevity is very good.when I use it in morning it is not need spray it again in workplace.sillage is moderate.I’m happy it isn’t very expensive.it has moderate prcallïnd I can buy more bottles.I suggest everybody try this beautiful perfume.it’s good for all age

Don’t even know what to say about this one. Smell like roses and peonies, clean, simple, little identity. Very on the edge scent to develop headache or nausea. Blind bought it and regretted instantly. My mom now uses is as a roomspray. Longevity is good on both skin and fabrics. You can smell the rose till the very end.

I love this perfume so much. It lasts a long time for me. It gets deeper and even lovelier after awhile. I wish it wasn’t so hard to get in the US, though. Couldn’t find it to buy from any trustworthy stores so bought on Ebay… and it was fake. Had to order a new bottle from Europe. Hopefully this one is real.

Lovely fresh rose scent. Waiting for warmer weather to sample this better.

I went from ‘Oh my God, how horrible’ to ‘ I have to have it’ in 5 minutes! Not a trace of rose on my skin, just peonies mixed with some sweetness I wouldn’t call caramel, but similary unpleasant( don’t like the smell of caramel), maybe, just maybe it smells more like praline, but I’m not quite sure. That was the thing that put me off of this, but after a few minutes the unbearable sweetness evaporates, and it becomes a stunning, spring- summer candy- floral perfume. Yes, peony – flavoured candies, if that makes sense.

This is cloying and overly sweet. Not what I was expecting from Elie Saab as I am used to le Parfum and LPIntense. Pass.

Almost purchased this. I’m drawn to light floral scents. Tried this on a card that I kept around in my purse for a week and the scent was divine and very long lasting. However, when tried on the wrist the floral top notes disappeared fast and left a defining caramel sweet scent that reminded me of “stale perfume”. Ended up buying Shiseido Ever Bloom EDT.

This one starts quite like a bug spray at the beginning. After a few minutes, when it settles down, it turns into a beutiful and a slightly sweet rose-peony scent.

very elegant fresh sweet parfume.not exactly a floral one. the mix of roses, caramel, and fruits is amazing.very sexy. sillage is very good but it lasts for around 7 hours which is not bad for an EDT. Pink color comes to my mind when i smell it.

This is proof that not all designer perfume are that great. Rather spend on 2 bottles on celebrity perfume with better sillage, smells and longevity rather than this weak elia saab rose couture.

  15. :

    4 out of 5

It’s very pretty. However the sillage is soft and I prefer stronger perfumes. But I guess this one is appropriate for work in an office because I believe it won’t annoy anyone.
    It doesn’t last long either.

I fell in love with this scent, as i was looking for a rose perfume. But after wearing it a couple of weeks, I got bored very quickly by the sweetness of it. It was exactly what I was looking for at the time I bought it, but the fragrance doesn’t have enough depth to keep me surprised. Plus it does not last long at all, no matter how much i spray

This perfume I got for my 27th Birthday this year in 90ml bottle from my mum. I like the bottle and simplicity of the design. I’ve worn it twice already, however today I have worn with two sprays on my neck and it is making me sneeze all day! Quite expensive for what you get, but silage is moderate and I find it has a long lasting longevity. I will try again wearing this again with only one spray, to see if the scent is not too overwhelming for my nose. Hoping that because it is EDT, it will dry-down quickly to the sandalwood an patchouli so I am not so sensitive to it.

Elie Saab Le Parfum Rose Couture is very different when compared to the original orange blossom dominant Le Parfum. They should be entirely separate fragrances, in other words this shouldn’t be sold as a flanker.
Le Parfum Rose Couture smells of old-fashioned rose oil jazzed up by gooey caramel and musky patchouli. I quite like it as it reminds me of Miss Dior Le Parfum, a fragrance I already own and love.
It almost has an Annick Goutal vibe, also bringing to mind some of her fragrances like Quel Amour! and Ce Soir Ou Jamais. Perfumer Francis Kurkdijian definitely took some inspiration from other sweet rose fragrances on the market when he created Le Parfum Rose Couture.
Le Parfum Rose Couture will probably appeal to those within the 20-40 age group. The heaviness of the caramel and patchouli could make this a polarising scent, so it’s best to try before you buy.
The longevity is decent lasting 4-5 hours on my skin and the sillage is moderate, just enough to be smelt from a short distance away.

Oh dear, this was surprisingly weak for the price (thank goodness I found a tester in-store before I blind-bought it). I was shocked that there was so little sillage and even more surprised that I couldn’t make out any rose notes. It was a mild non-descript floral skin scent (mostly Saab’s version of peony I think) which dried down to a quiet vanilla and caramel scent. The mildest of Saab’s fragrances thus far IMHO and the most disappointing for me.

This is a lovely sweet, warm rose scent that reminds me of my Valentino Donna, probably because they share rose, vanilla, and patchouli. But I find my Valentino Donna much more interesting with the iris and leather accords. I’ll stay with my Valentino Donna and won’t be purchasing it. However, it would be a safe buy for someone who doesn’t like too strong of a rose and also doesn’t like leather or powdery iris.

This is strictly a skin chemistry scent.
On me its all caramel , with a shy shy , but really shy rose.
No safe blind buy for rose lovers.
But def a nice Try scent.
    🙂 Enjoy its development.

its an elegant rose scent HOWEVER……
    its very light faint perfume
not all the notes listed exist
its a powdery PINK rose (not a red one)
no caramel , no litchi & no patchouli
not worth the money its way too expensive
don’t mind if I got it as a present though hahahaha 🙂

I love how this amazing rose scent contains a ‘turkish delight rose’ note about it, making the rose so empowering – but not at all overwhelming. I love the constant, very slowly (aka. long lasting) fading scent that rarely requires resprays or touch ups. Elie Saab, I am truly impressed by this scent and will be testing (and hopefully purchasing, like I did this one!) your other scents in the future. I am truly very impressed by this amazing new rose scent. A definite keeper for my favourite perfumes of all time books.
I don’t know what it is or why, but wearing it makes me feel more happy and confident in myself.

If you are synesthetic like me, then you will understand… It’s a strawberry jam eaten on a warm autumn day in the middle of a forest glade. The rose is jammy, sweet, not red, not pink, but exactly the color of a strawberry spread that grandmas make. The patchouli is responsible for a tiny bit of earthiness, combined with the warmness of sandalwood; the litchi and the bergamot lend their acidity, which melts in the embracing sweetness of caramel. Mmmmmmmm. <3

Not nearly as bad as some of the reviews make it sound. Of course it’s nothing like the original, it’s not exceptional, but I like Rose Couture way better than L’Extase Caresse de Roses, which, by the way, I don’t find similar to Rose Couture at all (apart from the top notes). I prefer it to the almondy L’Eau Couture as well. Rose couture is a lipstick-y rose with some patchouli thrown in, sweet and sour at the same time (more sweet than sour). It’s one of those modern perfumes that remind you of other perfumes. I like that the rose is candied and paired with patchouli, as I’m not a big fan of natural-smelling, dewy or lush Bulgarian roses. I’m sure that people like me will enjoy it. Rose Couture is going straight onto my wishlist.
    Edit:
I just tested it again and yes, the resemblance it bears to L’Extase is undeniable. Not so sure I need it after all. Still, Rose Couture is a good example of a lighthearted modern rose scent.

I thought I was going to love this by looking at the notes but to my surprise I was very disappointed.
I couldn’t detect not a smudge of caramel, vanilla or anything remotely creamy or sweet. It was very dry/powdery to my nose on my skin. But I found a lovely home for it. I gifted it to my older sister.

Rose Couture opens with a blast of fruity candy rose that softens into a sweet soft pink cloud of rose and caramel. It’s fluffy and sweet and super girly. It’s nothing like any other Elie Saab fragrance…it’s not really an original idea, but I do like it. Has it been done before? Absolutely. But I like it better than any other fruity/candy/rose I’ve smelled before, and I absolutely love the pretty pink bottle. I tested it at Sephora today, and when I got in my car later this evening I could still smell just a hint of it in there from my trip home from the mall. It’s definitely a crowd pleaser!

I thought that I didn’t like powdery perfumes, but this one is certainly powdery, sweet and powdery, and I love it. Everything comes together so well.
It feels very luxurious to me, it has both innocence and elegance. Perfect for a bride really 🙂
… and it makes me happy

  29. :

It starts fresh and sweet with some vanillic patchouli which instantly reminds one of LVEB. But then, it starts morphing into a caramellic rosy scent which never stops to be soft, young and semi-fresh. Reminds me of L’Extase without that sour, plastic berry caramel.
Looks like Francis Kurkdjian has been provided with ingredients of quality here and he’s been able to do what he has missed in making the L’Extase: smoothness, unision and delicacy. The notes manage to compliment eachother so well that like a jigsaw puzzle being done they’ve made a unified image. The sillage is weaker than what I expected from experiencing other Elie Saab’s scents. But again I think this is what the scent image aims at: being soft, delicte and fragile. We can’t say the wings of a fairy are not good enough ’cause thery’re delicate and fragile and are not like an eagle’s wings, can we?
This interpretation of rose might actually interest many Rose Lovers, I believe.

If Ralph Lauren’s “Romance” and Valentino’s “Donna” got married, moved to the suburbs and had a baby it would be called “Rose Couture” by Elie Saab. This perfume was one of those impulse buys that smelled great at the counter but was a regrettable experience when worn at home. Not that there is anything unpleasant about this fragrance, it is just too overwhelmingly sweet and too familiar to my nose, as if I’ve smelled hundreds before just like it.
RC feels like an inferior flanker (a branch-off of something extraordinary) in its current form, there are so many possibilities here but unfortunately that potential was never realized. For starters, the rose is obnoxiously flagrant – it seemed to have drowned out all the other notes. Heck I can barely detect the caramel and vanilla, where is the supposed litchi? Where is the sandalwood? This fragrance feels TOO safe, just your basic floral and some weaker notes stumbling offstage somewhere.
If you took Valentino’s Donna and stripped it of its lipstick scent, subdued the boozy vanilla and leather; if you took out the patchouli and watered it down with liquid candy…you would have Rose Couture.
The projection is strong, the longevity is moderate. The dry down is extremely bland; it smells like a weaker version of itself. Overall, a very generic floral that smells safe and unexceptional- possibly within the same category as La Vie Est Belle by Lancome.
If you are looking to smell like everyone else, Rose Couture would be the ideal candidate. However if you’re the kind who goes against the grain, consider skipping out on this flanker.

Interesting blend of both powdery and aqueous aspects of rose perfumery. Slightly watery, but also some pink candy floss like note I am guessing is caramel. Reminiscent of your generic rose perfume meets bvlgari rose essentielle meets jean paul gaultier le classique.
Okay I guess. Little bit cloying like acetone on the paper. May try again on my skin to see the difference.

ROse Couture is a powdery rose, expensive smelling and perfect for a more mature audience (30+) . I imagine a confident and powerful woman wearing this perfume. Those who like Narciso Rodriguez for her, will also appreciate this one.

Rose Couture reminds me of the Turkish delight scene in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe; ‘sweet and light to the very centre.’ Lemon peel, rose, and powdered sugar combine with moodier hints of fur and wood to create something highly tempting. The opening sparkles like sunlight on snow, but the heart notes carry a breath of early summer hedgerows garlanded with wild roses. The base is warm and sweet as crystallised rose petals.
I enjoy the whole journey through this scent, but it’s the wild-rose in May at its centre that I’ve been looking for and love. Not green cut roses, or powdery rose and violet, or exotic rose with spices and oud, but a wave of rose-sweetness from a tangled briar brought out by soft breezes and hazy sunshine. This scent captures the sense of nostalgia for English summers without being old fashioned.

I’m not really a great fan of sweet fumes, even though I do have a few, however this one was a gift. While I can wear it and do occasionally and find it quite pretty, it isn’t something I would buy for myself. I spritzed a bit on before bed last night and set about trying to test myself….let’s just say, a nose I am not! I did manage to at least ascertain rose and thought I could smell peach, but in the first instance it smelled just like ripe strawberries to me. I see in the above pyramid there are no berries present but there are lychees, along with peony and vanilla. I also had a look at D&G Rose The One, Versace Bright Crystal and CK Euphoria because I have all of them and they smell very similar to me (all but CK were gifts). There are some common notes between Rose Couture and D&G RTO and, while there’s no rose in them, CK Euphoria and Versace BC share pomegranate and lotus, with the BC also containing Peony. To my untrained nose, the distinction between them all isn’t sufficient to warrant me having them all. I do like a rose scent, but I think I prefer a deeper richer rose, not one so sparkly and fruity as these. BTW it was midnight when I spritzed my chest and it’s now almost 9am – it’s still quite strong scent but without much sillage, and it smells basically same as last night, so not much of an evolution of the scent over that period of time.

I didn’t think much of this when I first tested it on the back of my hand but I was given a sample so I sprayed it all at once and I must say this is really gorgeous!
Sweet and powdery modern rose wrapped me up in a cloud of goodness for hours.I’m amazed at how good this is for me now.It gets sweeter the more it is on the skin, sillage is very good and longevity about five hours.Must get a bottle

I got a sample of this, and let me tell you…I usually never give bad reviews, but this fragance made me physically ill. I though it was going to be this amazing rose scent, and all I got is a very strong, pungeant, nausea inducing sweet candied semi rose with caramel and flowers… really bad, its like they were trying to make a gourmand scent and it went really bad. I dont think rose goes well with sooo much sweet. Awful.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

Very ordinary rose, and I never seem to really like anything with peony in it, there’s something too chemical air freshener about it. Weak caramel drydown. All over in five hours or so. No sillage to speak of, personally wouldn’t bother buying.

this is a really different rose to what I expected and what is out there.
The immediate hit is a beautiful turkish delight rose! just delightful and very feminine.
Settles to a fresh sweet fragrance which is very nicely done. A little different from the usual rose perfumes – a younger and modern approach so I like it!

Candied patchouli peachy jasmine soapy rose, so this one does what it says on the tin I guess. I love the original and the almondy goodness of L’Eau Couture even more, and I must say this is a nice addition to the Le Parfum lineup. I feel quite content with my fullsize of L’EC though, so I don’t see Rose Couture ending up in my collection for that reason.

I am a rose lover and I can’t even count how many rosey perfumes I’ve tested till now..but I really can’t get the point of calling this sweet, gorgeous velvety rose generic because after testing so many rosey perfumes I can’t name any fragrance similar to this one and I believe even if they were similar perfumes, this is not a down side..it’s not dark, not invasive, not special not even too much rosey, but it has a young, cheerful and lovely personality
This is sweet,it’s obvious according to list of notes, but it’s not a sugar bomb, not even a rose bomb
It opens with lovely fresh rose, peony and orange blossom, also fruity notes start to show up since first sprayed and turn that light rose to a delicious marmalade rose which dries down to a cozy rose, warm, caramelly and creamy..if there was not vanilla, caramel and sandalwood le parfum rose couture would be a generic fruitchouli for me but not now and thanks god I don’t find the sweetness cloying or fruity notes sticking..there is a freshness present even in it’s warm dry down..I also find it a tad powdery,a powderyness like valentino donna’s which I die for, maybe my nose has tricked me or it’s about rose or vanilla playing the role of powder here.all in all it’s a soft and sweet floral on me with slightest hint of other notes(vanilla, fruitchouli)to make it more interesting
Best season for wearing this sweet young rosey fragrance is spring, also fall
I find it differant from other elie saabs(which I love them all)but not a bad job, this is wearable and likable by younger audiences and rose lovers, after all francis kurkdjian is a mastermind
good longevity on my skin but sillage is softer comparing to other Elie saabs.. after some hours you may not notice it yourself but it is still there,so don’t overspray…
Recommended to whoever likes their gourmands to be soft and with powdery floral/rosey twist..this is a floralfruitygourmand more than just a floral IMO

EDT, no wonder is so faded. After 15 minutes I am left with a nostalgic feeling of what this could have been had it had been turned to the capacity I would have liked to. And I feel a pinch of safran inn here, amongst the roses and frutes and I love it. Just rise it up to triple the concentration it is now and I will buy a ful one! But that would require a few more flankers I guess: Rose Couture edp, Rose Couture edp Legere and Intense, so that means sometimes in 2018 or above!

  44. :

There is some rose, but it’s not a really rosey perfume. The sandalwood balances the sweetness nicely and keeps it from being cloying. There could be a fair bit going on, I don’t know, it doesn’t stick around long enough to enjoy.
Poor longevity. Fades down to a faint, generic floral in no time at all. After a couple of hours, there is only the faintest wisp of sweet floral and sandalwood left.

  45. :

    3 out of 5

I wouldn’t call this a rose perfume as such except for the immediate opening. When I first tried it, I thought it vanished too quickly and put it down as poor lasting power. However, around an hour or so later I kept on smelling something very familiar and then I realised that the dry down smelt almost exactly like my beloved Bvlgari Jasmin Noir. Not sure if I can classify this as a summer scent…an unusual mix of notes but strangely memorable. I’ll have to give it another try before I make up my mind about this, although I am a fan of other Elie Saab fragrances.

Tried this properly today and I was not impressed. The rose is candied thanks to vanilla and caramel (by the way only listed on Fragrantica no other site mention caramel)and the opening is actually rather lovely but it disappeasr quickly so you are left with a generic floral base.Sillge is very good and longevity is moderate. However for the price there are much better roses scents around

    What can i say?
I´ve got a sample of this fragrance and i was really excited to try it, but i am disappointed. It is just another rose fragrance. Luminous and well crafted, let´s not lie, but nothing on it is unique. It begs to be liked, with it´s caramelized flowers, but it just smells generic. And for this price range, i am not happy with sillage and longevity either. 2 hours and you have to sniff you skin very closely to smell it.
For fans of rose, there are many cheaper versions if this fragrance out there.
I do not dislike it, because it has not enough personality to be disliked, but i am not impressed either.

Ive tried this & am undecided whether to buy a fb. It’s a lovely scent- fresh, juicy, sweet but sadly it just isnt strong enough or long lasting enough. If it had been an EDP perhaps. Beautiful but too fleeting and transient!

I’m not impressed by this new one. Elie Saab started glorious and ended generic. It’s a pleasant scent, very pretty like a thousand rose perfumes in the modern candy league, but nothing special. I guess the base for this is the same with Eau Couture. It makes a wearable and likeable scent for whoever is not searching for an invasive scent.
This is no rose-bomb and actually I’m not even sure that is rose. It smells more like the ubiquitous peony note of these latest years. No floral is safe from peony or whatever they sell for peony. And coated in sugar, of course. Here is the caramel type with a typical slightly burned edge, but it’s not too overpowering. It is a smell scent but not too sickening. It’s quite light if not oversprayed. You won’t choke anyone.
I tried it and forget about for many hours. Unexpectedly, the last notes clinged to my jacket and still go back to my skin. It’s a pleasant, typical modern combo of patchouli, fake sandalwood and caramel.
Much lighter than LVEB, but vaguely similar. I see it more as an attempt to compete with new girly roses like Stella EdT or Dior Poison Girl.

  50. :

This is a pleasant scent, I would call it a velvety rose scent. Very sweet, the most dominant notes are rose, vanilla and patchouli. And of course, lovely pink bottle.
But I guess, that’s it, just pleasant. It doesn’t have the elegance of the original Le Parfum, which I absolutely love.
But it’s totally worth a try, for me it is an interesting release for sure.

  51. :

    4 out of 5

The opening is sweet, very pleasant, sweet roses, then the heart gets floral, and the base is warmer, more like a typical fruitchouli…I don’t quite agree that this is a floral..the patchouli isn’t heady, and mixes in nicely with the Jasmine..I love the top notes, I wish it would have stayed that sweet smell of candied roses and caramel!! The drydown is just a bit more generic..longevity though isn’t great
I have a 30 ml coming, and I will happily wear it!! It is very different from the other Elie Saab!! A like, not a love, but not a bad sweet floral at all!!

Next LVEB as it comes to sweetness! Lots of caramel, peach and vanilla! Maybe a bit of rose, dipped in sugar all over.
What a shame, what a terrible shame! This bottle is my absolute love, but this scent is my huge dislike.

A beautiful scent, rose tempered with other florals, with a rich base of vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood and caramel… but sadly it’s very short-lived – if only it lasted longer this would be a ‘love’ rather than a ‘like’.

Amazing parfum! I fell in love with this one. It’s not this ‘tea rose’smell or a pepper roze (like Givenchy irrisistable) No, this is a sugary, vanilla warm and cozy Rose!
The opening is devine with rose, peony and orangeblossem.
Then when the orange starts to fade, the vanilla and fruit come in. I so so love this in combination with the rose.
the dry down is warm with patchouli and sandelwood. And not forget; the rose.
After 3 hours I can smell it softly on my skin. This is a cuddle and comforting rose. I don’t mind spraying again! 😉 In winter this gives me the feeling of walking true a sunny rose garden! Beautyful in every way. Good job Elie!

It’s a beautiful rose scent, without a doubt. Francis Kurkdijan is a mastermind after all. But then to me, who adores and loves the original Le Perfum and especially the Intense version, this is quite an unoriginal addition. There’s nothing wrong the scent, it’s a lovely scent and has a cheerful vibe, but it’s not special either. It smells like candied roses, the fruity kind. The marmalade-ish body is coming from that mysterious “fruity notes” element and the vanilla. The orange blossom adds extra sweetness, and that’s where the faint similarity to the rest of the Le Perfum line kicks in. Longevity is great by the way, as it always seems to be with Elie Saab, which is a perk in the world of faint roses.
This perfum will be a huge hit, and it will be hugely popular. But for now, other similar scents in my wardrobe don’t justify adding this one as well.

Amazing colour. First impression is candy sweetness. Super pretty candy and peony. However the dry down is not for me. On me, it turned a powdery stale lipstick rose, not a smell I enjoy. Shame, first Elie Saab I tried and didn’t especially like. Somewhere in the middle I got vague orange blossom reminiscent of the originals.

Another beautiful fragrance by Francis Kurkdjian! A gorgeous powdery rose, reminds me of Donna Valentino – absolutely wonderful.
