To celebrate its 8th anniversary, Smell Bent launched a new collection of scents infused with pheromones and neurochemicals: the Body Language ecollection. Each scent in the collection is inspired by a beloved musical icon.

I Would Die For U is described by the house as a “pear jelly bean” aroma. The fragrance takes its inspiration from Prince. In this fragrance, oxytocin, a signaling molecule associated with social and sexual bonding, often referred to as a “love hormone,” is infused into notes of pear jelly beans, iris butter, vanilla absolute and patchouli.

I Would Die For U was launched in 2017.

i smell sweet pear and something nutty, then i get a nice patchouli-almost candied. it’s a gourmand patchouli. later on i smell fruits, maybe berries? if you like angel, you may like this. it’s sweeter than angel though.

This is dirty Angel-esque patchouli laced with vanilla and an underlying granular candied pear accord. There’s a distinctive animalic, masculine edge with a hint of powdery iris.
To be honest, I was expecting a more prominent pear note and a juicier, sweeter quality, but this is far more patchouli and vanilla than fruit. Pleasant, but I’m glad I didn’t purchase a full-sized bottle.

This one was a little too ‘dirty’ for me. I was hoping the animal notes and patch would be calm and not so noticeable but its really all I could sense with a hint of sweetness. A great buy if you like that ‘dirty’ patchouli scent though!
