Description

The house of Hanae Mori is launching their first fragrance for men, named HiM in autumn 2012. “We wanted to do a real men’s scent — a rugged, edgy, spicy, woodsy, modern fragrance,” said Thomas Saujet, president of ICP, which is the worldwide licensee of Hanae Mori Parfums.

HiM is a fragrance that opens with such top notes as bergamot, mandarin orange, gray pepper, violet leaves and cardamom seeds. The robust heart encompasses cinnamon bark, Mediterranean fig and tonka bean, while the base closes with teak wood, white cedar, fir balsam, musk and amber.

Flacon of the fragrance is very elegant and simple, colored in caramel shades. The perfume is available as 50 ml and 100 ml.

A mixture of Gucci PH2 and one million Prive to me.

I bought HiM (EDP) because I had fallen in love with his brother HM.
I’m glad that I’ve gotten to know the family.
HiM opens with tea (I bet that’s the fig) and then warm spices – violet – amber – and then the tonka. It’s a cold, blustery, grey autumn day here and this is the perfect kind of day to hang out with HiM.
    Longevity is good.
    It’s a beautiful scent.
I really enjoy HiM, but I’m still in love with his brother HM. He rocks my world………

    EDT Review
Warm, slightly woodsy, slightly spicy Gucci PH 2.
I bought this based on it’s comparison to Gucci 2 and was intrigued by the comparisons with what I saw predominantly as a fresh, light spring scent. Was it just marketing and the colour of the bottle that made people see this as a cooler weather scent?
In short, No. It has the same tea note as Gucci 2, but adds woods and spices making it a bit heavier, stronger and more suited to cooler weather. As others have said, kind of a Gucci 2 Intense or Eau Extreme. A warmer woodsier version. It’s a bit sweeter too in the drydown which perhaps makes it feel slightly lower quality, but that’s subjective.
Good value everyday cooler weather fragrance!

My first initial impressions: This is an EDP?! I sprayed 2 on my left arm, where did it go? Also, the smell is kinda of weird. Fresh spicy, not warm spicy. I get the sweet orange and cinnamon but it’s almost sour smelling. I will update with a full wear.
E: This is not my cup of tea and scent smells cheap too me. Warm, cinnamon, orange sugary sweet.

EDP review: This really does smell a lot like Gucci pour Homme II at first spray. This Hanae Mori fragrance compared to the Gucci fragrance seems to be sweeter and spicier. Both are good fragrances and have enough differences between them but the Hanae Mori one provides a better value than the Gucci fragrance but both seem to be lacking in longevity performance.

HiM EdT is a pleasant woody spice, with deep dried orange, cinnamon, dark floral, wood. Nice.

I bought this blind. The EDP version. Received it last week. It’s too hot to wear this now.
If you smell the sprayer, it’s exactly like Tom Ford Noir extreme. I compared both and sprayed both on my arms but noticed that they take off in a different direction.
Weird. On my skin they are and develop differently.
    Will update later in Fall.

Only bought this because of the comments that suggest it smells like GHII. not for me thought. It’s nice but I wouldn’t spend more than 10 pounds for this.

Sub-30 dollars for 100ml? Check. Bottle that is quality and stylish in it’s simplicity? Check. Smells infinitely more expensive than it’s price tag? Check. Alright, well, we’ve hit all the marks for a fantastic cheapie! This and Hanae’s other male offering “HM” are the only two sub-40 dollar designer EDPs that have impressed me this much. Sort of a category unto themselves but I digress.
Upon first spray I get an immediate blast of musk, pepper and cardamom. Possibly some bergamot. It’s slightly sharp and doesn’t have the smoothest take off. However, the flight is turbulence free. After the drydown I get cinnamon, cedar and musk with a hint of tonka to sweeten up the composition. Late into the drydown, it’s all wood and amber with the musk still lingering. I must say, this is one of the most agreeable musk based fragrances I have ever tried. Keeping with the aviation theme of the review, this sticks the landing as well. I will say, this definitely has a Japanese vibe to it (a slave to it’s projected market), like a lot of Issey’s do, if that makes any sense. Not a con, just an observation.
Longevity is good (6-8hrs) while the sillage creates a nice cloud for a good 2hrs before becoming closer to the skin. For the price range, I think this is above acceptable performance. Stellar, actually. I think this is perfect for winter and especially fall. I think you could get away with it in the spring and summer as well but I’d have to test it in a hot environment to say with a certainty. The way the musk behaves in this fragrance gives me the impression that it would be okay but not optimal. I’m going to say probably above 25 and more casual but could work in some formal situations if not too serious. Overall, this is a winner for me. I love it.
Update: Smelled Gucci PH II recently and this is a dead ringer at a third of the cost. While I will try the Gucci out of sheer curiosity, I could just as easily say “Why bother?”.

Sipping honey and lemon tea late in mid-afternoon with cinnamon cookies on a crisp spring day. Beautiful!

Hell yeah it smells like Gucci pour home 2. The crazy part to me is how gph2 is blue and this is like brown and orange. I got this because I was having a bad day one time at work and some nurse ladies were like damn what are you wearing I wish my husband would smell half as good as you boo (I was wearing gph2). I got this one because I’m broke and this is cheaper I think half of gph2 and yeah very worth it get it got to the hospital you’ll get nurse attention and maybe booty for sure

Spicy powerhouse, woody, and a bit sweet too. Not crazy about the sharpness in the opening. Definitely get the cinnamon, musk, tonka, and woodiness (not specifically cedar). Dry down remains sweet with bright spiciness. It calms a bit on dry down, but I woud never call it smooth as others have.

Quickly becoming an autumn classic. The cinnamon in this is very smooth, a warm spicy aroma that blends so beautifully. It’s the perfect fragrance for a cool, clear fall day in November. Imagine visiting your parents house and dear mom has an autumn wreath on the front door, you pause for a moment and take a distant sniff, the warm cinnamon, amber and slight detection of cedar bounces in the air, putting a smile on your face. Ahh yes, home. That’s HiM Hanae Mori.
Keep in mind this takes time to develop, it might seem weak at first, so avoid adding more sprays. Let it settle and develop, and you’ll be awarded with a mind tingling, crowd pleasing, comforting, happy kind of aroma.
For some reason when I smell this fragrance I think of Thanksgiving. Kind of like when I smell Burberry London it reminds me of Christmas. In fact, I can see HiM being the perfect companion to wear to the family Thanksgiving dinner or when watching the Macy’s parade with the family before the football games. If applied wisely and not over-sprayed, it will not offend anyone. It’s a very safe scent IMO.
The longevity is excellent on skin and stays on clothes literally until you wash it off. At $20 to $30 or so online it’s one of the best bargains you can get. For me, it’s one of my fall favorites and I just might make it my Thanksgiving signature scent.

I have never been so baffled at my experience with a fragrance and the reviews of it here. I bought a bottle because it sounded exactly like what I enjoy in a fragrance. I get no sweetness, no cinnamon, no tonka. All I smell is sharp balsa wood. I am wondering if I am anosmic to the chemicals that appeal to everyone else who has reviewed it.

Thank you all for your spot-on reviews- I ordered this based on them and so glad I did.
HiM has already been described as warm, cinnamon, and lightly gourmand. I find it similar in DNA to Pure Havane. My take on HiM is that it is more Pure Havane Lite than anything else- although there is no tobacco in the note breakdown, the combination of notes remind me of it. This is office friendly, going out friendly, dressing up friendly, and casual friendly. It sits close to the skin, not very loud, and charming.
I have the EDP and it has the strange quality of initially coming across as light, airy- almost transparent- though it is a warm scent. It seems as though it will be a fleeting fragrance. However, as it sits on your skin, it gains body and strength and lasts for hours.
As with Hanae Mori HM, the value of HiM is off the charts. They are very different, but, at the price they are going for, you simply can’t buy better fragrances for the money. Highly recommended.

Excellent! An extraordinary value! This is in league with some of the finest perfumes in my collection and yet it’s more wearable than most. Perfect for a cold and rainy day like today. I am so happy to have made this purchase.
HIm by Hanae Mori is woody and cinnamony, ambery and just a little sweet. Perfectly cordial, yet distinctive, it can be worn just about anywhere any time. I love it!

A heavenly smelling chai tea latte ladies can’t get enough of.
One of only a couple fragrances I give a 10/10 amazing hidden gem.

Wow! I purchased HiM after sampling it on a test strip during the Summer of 2014. Although I usually test fragrances on my skin (blind buys not included) it smelled so good right off-the-bat, and I was already wearing fragrance, that I ordered a bottle from FragranceNet. IMO, it smelled like the love-child of bottles of GPHII and Spicebomb left alone on a dark shelf. Schweet!
Unfortunately, 2-hours after I applied HiM to my skin this fragrance immediately did a Thurl Ravenscroft impression. As you may recall, the late Mr. Ravenscroft was the voice behind the infamous Tony the Tiger. “They’re Grrreat!!” But he was also the voice behind the “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” song and, in this case, HiM does the “Stink! Stank! Stunk!” as soon as it mixes with my uber testosterone laden and pheromone-oozing skin; it transitions into a sour cinnamon blech!
Okay, I’m giving my skin two-thumbs down! But this is still a gorgeous fragrances on the right skin – just try it first. Applied it to a strip of paper and HiM smells…well, it smells absolutely terrific! Although this fragrance does smell a little better in the drydown on my skin, it doesn’t lose that cutting sour edge. Lesson learned: never again will I purchased a fragrance without trying it on my skin…and I suck for doing so! (Lol)
As mentioned, HIM is a great fragrance worth checking-out and I am glad so many others are having a better experience. Cheers!

This fragrance is reminiscent of warm, sweet spicy chai tea, with cinnamon at the forefront. The other notes add much needed depth, a little bit of freshness and creaminess to offset the spices.
There’s a bit too much sharpness through the first hour of its development which stops me from completely loving it.
It’s got excellent performance, projecting strongly for the first two hours, and moderately for another one or two. People will notice your scent, but won’t be overwhelmed.
As it develops beyond four hours, it transforms into a wonderful smokey incense.
    Scent: 8/10
Sillage: 8/10 (not beast mode, but just the level you want it for this kind of scent)
    Longevity: 8/10 (7-8 hours)
Conclusion: If you were budget-conscious and wanted just one scent for cooler weather, this is the one I could easily recommend. It’s not the best scent or the most beastly performer, but it’s great in both categories and punches way above it’s price point.

I’m not sure why it took me so long to purchase this. Beautiful fragrance and it’s excellent on warm, rainy days as well as the cooler weather. Great stuff and inexpensive!

HiM Edp has this nice, but surprisingly light opening of violet, cinnamon and amber. Just a touch of green, spice and sweet each, it really is wonderful. As the fragrance progresses violets greenness fades but never completely disappears, spice and sweet burst forward along something that reminds of tea. Seems like HiM has stronger middle rather than opening and dry down. Aforementioned dry down mostly the same as middle but milder version of it. Overall the fragrance has sweet and mildly spicy aura with some greenness around the edges. As many have said it does have tea like smell but I guess it’s just something that is like tea but isn’t actually or is there tea in this?
Edp version has great longevity, I can smell it most of the day. I find it’s sillage to be just right, it’s not massive but neither is it skin scent, for me that’s perfect. I think this will do well most of the year, hot weather and really cold are too much for it but everything between works. HiM is more on the casual fun side of things and that’s the way I like it and cause of it I usually get nice big smile on my face when I smell this!

HM HiM edp is a very impressive fragrance. Beautiful combination of notes with the cedar, pepper, and amber dominating. The edp is long lasting with excellent silage.

What a lovely scent! This is absolute must have for people who love Gucci Pour Homme 2. But there needs to be made some distinctions regarding this comparison, as many people say they smell identical (they certainly do not)
GPH2 is a cool, masterfully refined and blended, fresh (not aquatic) rendition of the Tea scent in which the Tea is center-stage, all attention drawn to it. It’s stillness, quietness and tranquility. This scent is delicate.
Hanae Mori HiM is an aggressively spicy, warm, yet still smooth rendition of the tea. However in this case, the tea takes a middle-seat, and the spice is the star of the show here. The tea is of course very noticeable, however it is not the main attraction like in GPH2. It’s meant to sing in harmony with the other spices. With HiM you’ll get a lot of cinnamon, and a lot of Amber. A fantastic warm scent that is tasty. Almost like it’s a perfume version of the best Chai tea of exotic spices.
In the end, this is a must have for lovers of GPH2. While to me, GPH2 is the clear winner here as far as scent goes, it simply does not perform as well like HiM does, and sadly has been discontinued. HiM however is cheap, it lasts a very long time, especially if you get the EDP (I recommend this one instead of the EDT), and is a good alternative to GPH2 if you can’t find it, it’s too expensive, or you’re turned off by the performance.
You could definitely say HiM is a GPH2 Intense, or extreme.
A very safe blind buy for sure if you love tea based scents, or even spicy cinnamon amber scents. Highly recommend.

I really love the scent. It smells like herbal cinnamon tea with honey. Yes, I get a lite honey out of this even though it’s not one of the listed notes. It’s very easy on the nose. You will not offend anyone, even if you over spray. I will definitely be wearing this a lot!

Spice bomb is almost an exact replica of this perfume. I wore it yesterday for the first time (blind buy) and instantly reminded me of spice bomb. If you like spice bomb you will like this one too and it’s cheaper. As far as longevity I would consider them quite similar also.

The scent of this cologne is off the hook! The first thing i noticed was cinnamon, cedar and amber. The faint notes of citrus in the background blended with the woodsy fresh scent and a hint of pepper make this cologne work. There is enough here about this cologne to write a book on, but I will keep it short. I recommend wearing it in the winter, but really, I think it fits anytime. The longevity of this fragrance is above average. If you purchase this cologne, you will not be disappointed.

I really like this one, my kind of scent , sweet, spicy. I have a few samples, and I must say I’m impressed by this scent, Longevity great for me, 10hr mark, at that point it’s a solid skin scent. I was late to the party on this one. Price is great.

Blind bought this. I was a bit hesitant since I didn’t like Hanae Mori’s HM AT ALL. I also wasn’t sure since this reminds people of tea, and I am not a tea person in particular. HOWEVER, I am pleased to say that this juice is AMAZING, especially for the cheap price!

A teaspoon of cinnamon sprinkled atop a sugar cube swimming in a smooth, well-blended cup of tea! This is not a kayak crashing through rapids, it is a canoe gliding stealthily across calm waters. There is nothing offensive or boisterous about this scent, it’s cozy and pleasing. Longevity blew my expectations out of the water. If you ever wanted to wear a tea bag around your neck and just smell likeable all day but were too ashamed, just spray this on; works just as good and is less messy.

    “Rugged, edgy, spicy, woodsy?”
    Fail.
Gave it to a woman who agreed with me that there is too much of a sweet violetty floral–lite spice thing going on here for it to be a mans cologne. Should at least have been marketed unisex.

I Just Blind Bought a 100ml of HM Him EDT from Beautyspin now Notino and immediately felt the need to post what a beautiful scent this is.
HM is essentially cinnamon sweet tea with a gorgeous Sillage.
It is inoffensive, I think this would work best for the holiday season or a holiday get together anywhere between Oct – Feb (Based on weather similar to NJ) I will get back to you with this fragrances performance longevity base notes / dry down ect… I will also post a review of this in contrast with Hanae Mori’s EDP version.
K, Still waiting on the EDP, but the EDT dries down to a lightly spicy wood & amber base, however it is a VERY uniquely pleasant aromatic scent in contrast with most other spicy wood & amber based scents.
    Scent: 10/10
    Longevity: 7/10
    Projection: 7/10
Definitely better sillage and longevity than Gucci II and smells just as great and this is just the EDT Version…

A nutty spicey gourmand, this linear fragrance is punchy, sweet, and more or less straight to the point. During the drydown it fades to a warm amber and slightly woody musk. It’s a nice sugar bomb for younger men, but ultimately too sweet and too simplistic for its price point.

GPH2 is maybe my favourite scent, except A&F FIERCE (before the stupid idiotic reformulation) and really I can’t find many similarities between HiM and GPH2! Although this one smells very unique and spicy… It is really a gem! This fall I will wear it very often and I think that it has the potential to beat the unbeatable scent of GPH2, but only because it will last much longer than the GPH2!

    Sweetish wood & spices.
I thought I smelled incense but I don’t see it listed. I think it’s the amber-cinnamon combo that tricked me.
The floral & citrus notes are not prominent but you could feel that without them, this fragrance would smell worse. They balance the woody-spicy composition well.
    Really well done.

I like it. I got mine for free from a friend who had too many tester bottles, so I can’t complain, but if I was buying it for myself I would definitely roll with the EDP, which is superior.
The EDT for me is actually rather blase. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good smelling juice, but for some reason the cinnamon/tonka/cedar/tea quartet doesn’t make my socks go up and down. It smells fresh and modern in the opening burst, but the dry down on my skin holds more of the mid notes than the top, and very quickly I lose track of the different “tones” on my skin.
The strange part is that I have gotten several compliments from women while wearing this. So it must be doing something I can’t detect. I can’t smell it beyond my skin after 1-2 hours, yet other people can…it may just be olfactory adaptation.
Bottom line: this is a mysterious fragrance. I want to love it but I can seldom find occasion to wear it, except to the office. L’Homme La Nuit is a much better take on the heart of this fragrance, in my opinion.
    TL;DR- Try before you buy.

Got this blind in a swap. I must say I was not a fan of the opening very dry cinnamon mixed with a very earthy black tea. As it dried down it got better and better. The earthyness died down and the cinnamon turned into a warm sensual masculine smooth sweet cinnamon with a few other conplimentary spices that jump out at you but act as a great supporting cast helping the cinnamon pull off a legendary performance as the center stage star of the show. Very nice. Six hours have passed and im still getting waves of it from the two sprays I applied.

    It smells like Arabic coffee..
If u haven’t smell Arabic coffee before..
It’s a coffee that mixed with some spices like cardamom, cinnamon, and saffron.
I really enjoyed the smell of this and I can see the similar side bitween this and Gucci pour homme ll.
I got a decent sillage and projection for its price. I think this will be loved more by older people 30+ because it’s a little heavy and warm.
This one is pretty good in cold weather, difentily a must have if u like the smell of cinnamon and cardamom.

When I first sniffed Hanae Mori HiM, it was an automatic really like. I went back a week later and bought a 1.7 oz. Got home and tested it on myself…..hmmmm….smelled weak….not what I remembered. I looked at the box….it was an EDT. Re-visited the store yesterday…checked the tester bottle…and…it was the EDP !!! Sometimes, I have had bad luck with EDP vs EDT….for example Midnight in Paris….the EDP did not work for me, but the EDT did.
I will wear this HM HiM edt again and see if I like the scent well enough to re- buy the EDP. Damn !!!….lol.

This stuff definitely rubs me the wrong way. To me it starts out very harsh and synthetic. My nose cannot handle it, I sprayed it once and I tried to wipe it off 10 minutes into it. Definitely not my cup of tea.
I will say the performance is great.

I received a sizable sample of this to try because it is reminiscent of other perfumes I like. As a woman, I think this is a lovely fragrance. I got a peach smell right off the bat, then a bit of cardamom, some orange/citrus, fig, lime, then it settled into a warm amber, cedar woods, musk. The “peach” note that I smell (not listed) is still there, making the concoction slightly fruity without being a fruit-sugar bomb. I would not buy a FB of this is as I have a huge selection of SLs that I mostly wear, but if someone gave this to me, I’d be happy. I’m not sure if I would like this on a man, but I think so. I think men’s scents often fall into two “main” camps: Limey-Vetiver Clean or Wood Chopper Musk. This straddles both camps but is also different. I do not usually go by the “gender” of a scent; some I really DO associate with women, but this to me seems unisex and not a “manly” scent–just quite nice if it works with one’s chemistry. I think most women could wear this and it would be sexy and different enough (without being odd–which I like sometimes) for everyone to enjoy. Silage is low to moderate. I’ll update on longevity.

    Design: 3.75
Name: 1 (choosing the name “HiM” after having named the previous frag “HM” is an epic fail in my book)
Personal appreciation: 4 out of 5
Final notes: I am fully aware of the similarities between my descriptions of HiM and Gucci pour Homme II. However, while I might call HiM a warm-sweet cousin of the latter, I would definitely not call it a twin. In terms of season, they complement each other, and while GpH II is more about the tea, HiM is more about the spices and the woods.

*Creativity: A frag gets a perfect score if it was the first of its kind on the market and if this kind was a game changer; **Blend: A perfect blend will trigger your imagination, take you places, but won’t try to be the exact copy of something that exists in the world (in other words, single-themed gourmands get low scores); ***Distinctiveness: If everybody is wearing it and/or there are uncounted olfactory twins on the market: low score; ****Allure: Assessment based on verbal and non-verbal reactions from my surroundings.

The Bay Dept Store in Canada has this on sale right now =18 jan – for about 20 CDN. Haven’t received mine yet but should have it today.
Bascially I have been looking for a decently priced everyday scent i can wear. I have – and love- Creed Santal but really the price point makes it impossible to use on a regular basis 🙁 I need something spicier/woodsy – the fresh floral/soapy ones do not last on me and i do not enjoy them, and many of the most popular frags out today are ‘aqua’ and smell rather juvenile.
    So the hunt continues!

it’s 30 minutes and I came into the scent.
    1. only the beginning smell somehow similar to GPII
    2. into the smell takes quite long. This fragrance needs long time to go in to the scent it’s meant to be. I met the same problem with Boss Orange for men
    3. into the scent it is like mature version of SpiceBomb with more spicy notes. The scent itself is not very balance so don’t smell it too closely, or you will look down on them
    4. if you had spicebomb this is definitely not neccessary
    5. definitely cold winter and cool fall fragrance
    6. longetivity and projection are good
    7. buy, try or past. Definitely try
    8. the scent IS synthetic ! 🙂

….Spicebomb and Creed’s Royal Oud marries and the two become one-Hanae Mori HiM (EdP)!!
This is very reminiscent of Spicebomb, perhaps Spicebomb is a tad sweeter and herbal where as Hanae Mori HiM has a light dryness to it. Anyway, they resemble each other so much!
AWESOME fragrance to have by any means!!!

HiM is the perfect Fall fragrance. Cinnamon and amber in the opening. In the dry down it is woody, some citrus, velvety and very comforting. The perfect gourmand fragrance. It has great silage and longevity. It lasts a long time on my skin. I am not disappointed with this one. Another great one by Hanae Mori.

@evan.deans good review! I couldn’t agree with you more plus mine of course hehe.
This has its own scent, it has a similar vibe with gph2, but if you are buying this and expecting an alternative or clone, your about to be let down majorly.
This has a fall vibe for sure. I used up 3/4 bottle last fall. It has great silage to. I pump hard and when walking in to the office my boss was about 40 yards behind me and said “good morning, I’m just following your scent trail” and he’s not in to fragrances like I am
But the longevity of that lasts about 8 hours on me tops. I really feel like the cinnamon and Amber are the main players here playing on a field of woods underneath them while making a little bit of smoke while playing hard.. The dry down is divine.
Like I said earlier, it shares a vibe with gph2 and that’s it’s a relaxing scent that most everyone is going to like. I consider this a safe blind buy scent that’s very very versatile for fall time and you will see what I’m saying. It’s not much so just try it.. I will be replacing this bottle once this one runs out. Get the edp version. That’s what this review is based off of at least I do believe there is two versions

This fragrance starts out very hot-spicy to me. The cinnamon accord is very prominent for a solid hour. A little loud and rough maybe, but I’ve never had any complaints. I almost feel like I could get heartburn from the opening. Once the cinnamon starts to die down, it’s very smooth and pleasant. Woodsy and somewhat sweet, very spicy.
I get compliments on this one very often, especially from my boyfriend who doesn’t seem to be particularly interested in my fragrance collection.
Perfomance is great. I can easily smell it after 10 hours, it stays on my clothes for days. The basenotes of this are really where I get the comparison to GPH II which I also own. I’d be hard pressed to tell day old HiM from GPH II if I were picking up a shirt from the bin. Sillage seems to be moderate, strong enough for people to notice, but only when they get within close quarters to me. I’d say GPH II is a smoother and more refined frag, but I prefer wearing HiM. Sometimes a pair of sneakers is just more appealing than dress boots!
For the price, I’d say it’s worth it.

A burst of a warm, candied cinnamon greats us with HiM. The sweetness mellows out and HiM gets really warm with a spicy tea note and heavy woods notes.
    Projection and longevity are superb.
This could easily be someone’s signature scent as it’s likeable and slightly different than the typical designer offering.

Thanks to the reviews of my fellow Fragranticans, I recently blind bought HiM in EdP concentration and I absolutely LOVE it.
I love fragrances that either reflect my mood, or elicit an emotional response and my first reaction to this beauty was a feeling of comfort and confidence.
A wonderfully complex elixir that goes through a number of transitions on my skin, with excellent longevity and respectable s
