Description

In September 2008 Gwen Stefani, in cooperation with Cot, prepares to launch a surprise of five fragrance collection devoted to Harajuku fans. The fragrances come in a form of cute small dolls, each of which has its own personality, style, and fragrant note.

There had to be five fragrances as each of them represents different styles of women. Each of the dolls consists of two parts. The upper part is the doll itself, fitted on a pedestal-like glass base filled with the fragrance. The outer boxes give a story of the perfume doll enclosed inside.

Harajuku Lovers collection includes fragrances , Lil’ Angel, Music, Baby and G, and each of them is devoted to one of her back vocals, Harajuku Girls, reflecting their fashion and life styles, while one represents her.

Lil` Angel is created in cooperation with Christophe Raynard of Givaudan. It is inspired by a woman who always cared for others but is not a saint. In top it reveals fruity aromas of raspberry, cranberry, black currant, and pineapple. The heart unifies gourmand notes of candied violet, pear blossom, and sugared rose, while the base introduces lollipop aroma, Hinoki wood and crystal amber.

The nose behind this fragrance is Christophe Raynaud.

This was my very first perfume! I remember it smelling purely like pineapple. I loved the scent when I had it but I feel like it is more for younger girls like preteens.

I neither like nor dislike this, but that being said, I can’t wear it because the amber/alcohol note is too strong and gives me a headache.
It smells like a girl dressed up sitting at a bar. Like if you bottled a strong woody/amber perfume with some hairspray, a beer, and a fruity alcoholic drink – like a malibu barbie or something.
This was the first one I ever owned. My ex bought me the giant bottle of it (!!!) for my birthday, and while it was an *okay* scent, I couldn’t wear it. I had to stealth give it away to a friend and told him it “got lost” when we were moving into the new apartment. :s
I don’t know why I keep coming back to these. I don’t collect dolls and I’m not having a mid-life crisis. I was never a partier in my teens or tweens. I do like funky street style, so I guess I did buy into the gimmick a little bit. I just think of these as cute, and as something you’d wear in the “discovering yourself” phase of youth. I kinda wish I had teenage nieces to give these to. Along with some aquanet, a teasing comb, and my wicked awesome 80s plastic jewelry!

I’ve bought a tiny bottle of this twice now, and I really want to love it, but I don’t. I’m not sure how I used up the first bottle years ago, but I can’t make myself wear it this time around. I’m not getting the pineappley, summer smell some other reviewers get. To my nose, it’s warm and harsh and unpleasant. It just doesn’t work on me. I have a 0.33 oz that’s only been sprayed a couple of times if anyone in the US wants it… maybe for a trade?

I got this as a gift and wore it maybe once. It has quite an offensive dark alcohol smell that fades to more of a brown sugar. I’m surprised to see so many different fruity notes listed, as they are undetectable under that thick alcohol smell. Raspberry? Really?
If you like the smell of brandy you’ll like this.

i love this much more then i thought i would…out of of her collection this one is my favorite…yes it smells a little like alcohol but i love perfumes that havea little iof a sweet alcoholic smell

    Warning – negative review:
I purchased all 5 in this line on a whim and this one is by far the absolute worst! (Love comes a very close 2nd)
Not pulling any punches – Lil’Angel smells like waking up in the gutter the day after having a crap load of lollypop type alcohol drinks spilt all over you 🙁
And yes…unfortunately that is a real life comparison…and a lesson learned – never party with your teenage nieces.

Initial smell is of beer. It literally smells like straight up alcohol. It later fades to a spicy, boozy pineapple. lasting power is okay, same with sillage. It’s a good perfume to wear around the house or to run errands.

  8. :

It’s alright, not my favourite. I wear it on days I don’t know what else to wear.

  9. :

I consider this scent to be a tad spicy mix of fruity and slightly floral. I like it. Tried Love and Gwen and prefer this over the other two. It doesn’t last very long though, quite subtle.

  10. :

this reminds me of a boozy and sugary pinapple alcoholic beverage then dries down into a soapy fruity smelling bubble bath 🙂 pretty much imagine yourself taking a bubble bath while sipping a mixed pinapple drink relaxing. this fragrance is great for the summer. Its casual, sweet, boozy, simple and something that would be good for casual days like slouching around the house, running errands, going to work or class. the longevity isnt too long though, Little Angel will require some reappliying

To me it’s smells like something old. Like old makeup. I’m still scratching my head because I’ve read many of the reviews and I don’t get any smells described. I smell something stale or old and I’m believing that the solid perfume that I bought is old and lost the fragrance. I can’t say if it’s for day or night, winter, spring, summer or fall, not untill I smell another sample or bottle. I want to make sure.

yup pineapple… giving this my lil sis. it is nice and I like how the line comes with these collector styled bottles but it just doesn’t suit; not even for a backup scent
I’m sure it suits many others though

LOVE! The pineapple leads on me at first, dry down is a little more floral but still maintains it’s fruity freshness. I love the fruitiness but it is very young, not exactly womanly. It’s gives me more of a body spray feel mad lasts about as long.

I really like this but I can see why others would not. To me it is very personal, I was wearing this when I first met my fiancé, at the age of 16. For both of us this is very nostalgic. Maybe I should have grown out of this scent by now, but I will continue to use it until it gets discontinued. It smells of berries and pineapple to me, with a touch of pear. I can’t say it smells like beer though on me? It does tend to turn a bit alcohol/chemical like for a small period, but that turns into a much sweeter smell soon enough. Maybe it just works well with my chemistry, people tend to compliment me when I wear it. By no means amazing, or a fragrance I wear daily, but I am very fond of it.

This perfume is very unusual smelling, but I absolutely love it! It’s getting harder to find though.

  16. :

I’ve never had a physical reaction to dry wretch in response to smelling a perfume, but this one did that to me. One whiff and GAH! I can’t even think of a comparison to describe what it smelled like, but whatever it is it was just AWFUL. I waited to see if the scent would mellow over time but it didn’t. This was, by far, one of the worst perfumes I’ve ever smelled in my life.

  17. :

Weird perfume. I give it a try but I don’t think I’m gonna wear it again. I really can’t understand those notes combined together. I think it smell weak like Japanese beer or weird Chinese fruit salads, kind of intriguing tho, something I never smelt before, but not something that I would wear.
Another thing: on my skin It is really strong and doesn’t seem to evolve. Once I spray it, it remains the same till the end. 🙁

    Love love LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEE It!!!

Ack! This smells like beer! I have a sample and thought it smelled good from the vial, so I applied some on and kept smelling something that reminded me of beer. I was wondering what it was and then I realized it was me! It’s the smell of sour beer. You know, the smell of an empty beer bottle that’s been sitting out for a while. I am positive it is due to the pineapple top note. If I put my nose up to my wrist it smells fruity and gourmand, but the sillage/projection that wafts around has that beer smell.

  20. :

    5 out of 5

I really love this scent; it is sweet, and fruity, and delightful, regardless of what anyone says. (I also do not get the beer note, but I am not a beer drinker.) I would not wear a perfume that I didn’t like the scent of, regardless of advertising. And you’re as young as you feel; a scent is only too young for you if you are in a stodgy frame of mind. I am 32, and I do not hesitate to wear this. As for Gwen, I couldn’t care less. I’m not one to be impressed by celebrity, so that doesn’t affect my opinion of the fragrance. It’s amazing to me how perfume snobs think that if others like a simpler fragrance they are misguided, unsophisticated, or deluded by clever advertising. Get over it people, it’s just perfume. :/

this lasts very long on my skin, it is concentrated yet smells very fruity sweet, like pinapple candy!!! its delicious for summer!!!

  22. :

    3 out of 5

this scent is definitely very girly and fruity. it reminds me of a very sweet pineapple and maple syrup mixed with honey, its so delicious. this is the only one i really like out of the whole line. the staying power is also really good. the one thing that i cant stand about this perfume is the bottle! its so childish and doesnt fit the scent at all. its quiet embaressing if i put this in my bag and take it out because people might assume im carrying around this weird doll. i just throw the cap away…

  23. :

This is my second HL perfume, i like both of them, but unfortunately my husband doesnt. He thinks that they both smell like “wine or beer that’s been spilt and sitting on the floor for a while ..”, he calls me “Highlife” when i wear it. Think i might have to get rid of it, even though i quite like it .. it definitely isn’t one of my best though and i can smell the alcohol in it as well. Imagined something much better from the description. 🙁

  24. :

I really want to applaud the perfumer for his originality, but I couln’t spray it on me very often.
I am between like and dislike with Lil’ Angel. At first is very fruity, mostly pineapple but I can smell the berries too. However, it doesn’t even last a minute before it changes into a very particular fragrance I’m afraid I cannot describe. As many said, it’s similar to the smell of beer, but not exactly. I confess I thought of a public toilet that haven’t been cleaned for hours… The beer description puts it nicer though. After this second unpleasant phase, it dries down in a pineapple lollipop kind of smell. This third stage is what saves it from a ‘dislike’.
Unexpectedly, it has a strong staying power on me: 6/7 hours. I haven’t tried any other scent of Harajuku Lovers (I smelled mostly all of them from the bottle, out of curiosity) and I’m not encouraged to do so. This one is really naughty and original, but personally I prefer using it as a decorative article for my room. Maybe I’ll try spraying it on clothes to see what happens.

  25. :

Very true.. pineapple and beer. I actually like this perfume but the beer part does bug me. I decided oneday to spray ‘Anna Sui Secret Wish Magic Romance’ over the top since I wasn’t overly fond of that either and therefor not using it. Wow! I don’t know how but the beer smell totally disappears and I get a beautiful fragrance!
If anyone can get a hold of both of these you must try it. Without the mix I probably wouldn’t wear either, but together it’s truly gorgeous!

  26. :

    4 out of 5

I can smell pineapple and beer on me. I like the dry down and it’s one of favourite out of my Harajuku lovers collection. Love this scent

  27. :

    5 out of 5

I don’t smell beer on my skin – maybe a touch of booziness, but nothing severe. Fruity & sweet in the opening, a few minutes later, it takes on a bit of a soapy scent, then takes on woodiness in the drydown.
I get no plastic or burnt smell.
It’s not revolutionary, and I wouldn’t have paid full price for it (or any of the others) but now that you can get them for 9 bucks or less at discount stores, I think it’s certainly worth that – and if you can get a good deal on a tester, give it some thought.
It’s a *like* from me, not a *love*, but it’s cute and interesting in it’s own way.

  28. :

    3 out of 5

To me it smelled like a boozy pineapple scent. Its not a good fragrance in my opinion, the only one I enjoyed were G (coconut scent) and Love (a powdery floral). Im pretty sure there are nicer pineapple fragrances out there better than this one.

  29. :

This is one of the most unique perfumes I have ever smelled! I love this and I have purchased it over and over. It smells like pineapple, candy, and sort of like honey. It is sweet but not in a sickening way. I don’t understand why there are so many dislikes for this!!

  30. :

I’m a big lightweight, and when I go out with my friends I can only handle the girly fruity drinks 😛
This perfume reminds me a lot of those drinks.
At first spray, Lil’ Angel has a huge whopping alcohol/beer scent which I hated. After that fades, it turns sweet with fruity pineapple and berries. The alcohol is still slightly present, but luckily the fruits are more prominent.

  31. :

    3 out of 5

Way too much sugar and pineapple. Smells like the cheap fruit-punchy Wal-Mart body sprays all the girls wore when I was in junior high.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

This smells like fruity honey. Or syrupy fruits. Very, very sweet. Not unpleasant, but not inviting and complex, either. There is nothing comforting about this scent.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

Lil Angel smells really fruity & delicious.. I like this a lot, but the only downfall is when you first put it on, it smells something like alcohol/beer/alcohol.. Once the wine smell fades, it smells great 🙂

  34. :

This perfume, to me seems perfect for younger perfume users, as it is not the most sophisticated. I did like it although I can’t really smell any of the ingredients in it. Unfortunately, it does not last long once applied, but even so the bottle is so cute, it makes my dressing table look real special!

This perfume is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!I can smell something like beer or wine in there somewhere but I really don’t mind it as it was the sweetness of it caused me to love it!I am a big fan of sweet and fruity scents and this was my first ever perfume!!!
    big thumbs up from me

I’ve had this for a few years now and I still like it just as much as I did then. You can easily pick out all the top notes. Lil’ Angel is fun, fresh, boozy and sweet. I get the beer comparisons though. It’s like one of those Mike’s Hard beverages in the cranberry lemonade flavor. Sweet, syrupy, fruity beer. So far I have only gotten good comments on Lil’ Angel. Lasting power is good. This is one of my favorite scents out of the original 5.

  37. :

The first time I wore this I didn’t know how I felt about it. I didn’t know what to make of it, lol. I’ve never smelled anything like it on my skin before. It is sweet smelling but not angelic as it’s name implies. In fact I think it smells a little naughty. It smells super sweet and boozy like a fruity wine cooler. Love the contradiction. Well done!

  38. :

i love this scent. i had a barbie perfume as a kid..and this smells exactly like it. to me this does not smell fruity or sweet..the only words i can use to describe it are, girly and unique. although i can’t pick out any certain notes in this…there’s something in it that reminds me of pen ink..but it’s not a bad smell.

  39. :

i usually like most scents..like i tend to give em a chance before i give up on em…but this one…barf. horrible.. sweet but in a bad way…makes my mouth water …not cause im hungry but cause i wanna vomit.

  40. :

    4 out of 5

Not my favorite scent…kind of smells like trix cereal on my skin. It does not last very long, either.

  41. :

I got this as a Christmas gift, I like it. It smells like pineapple, fruit, and some floral notes I can’t quite put my finger on.
It’s really strong on me for like 2 minutes, then it fades into this nice, light, fruity scent.
Great for any day you plan to be casual, a day at school, hanging out at a friend’s house etc.
    Scent: 8/10 (nice)
    Bottle: 10/10 (soooooo cute!)
    Staying power: 7/10 (6 hours)

  42. :

This perfume is so sweet that it turns my stomach. I loved it at first but after a few days it made me ill. It is just sweet upon sweet upon sweet…and so on.

  43. :

    3 out of 5

lots of sweet juicy raspberries with hints of rose and violet. fresh and sweet! has that shampoo and chapstick scent to it. reapply every 2 hours or it’s gone.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

I was actually suprised there’s no oranges in the notes! To me this scent is a very nice citrus scent. I don’t like the smell of pineapples, but this was overall a great scent. I laughed at the earlier comments of beer…I don’t see where that’s coming from but I know everyone’s skin takes differently to perfume. I guess for me it just completely changes this into a orangey-citrus sweet smell. I love it!

  45. :

    3 out of 5

Very sweet. Almost like taking a lollipop and spreading it on your skin. I like it for the spicy kick it has with the wood notes. It really helps subdue the pineapple-y smell. I wear this on Mondays in the spring, when I need a fruity kick to start off my week.

  46. :

    4 out of 5

My skin is musk skin. When I tried this on I was so excited to get something more fruity and fun, I loved the pineapple scent. Within 5 minutes of trying it on… it smelled horrid on me. It does however work great on my friend I gave it to, so if you can wear fruity scents, this would be great.

  47. :

    3 out of 5

At first whiff while the perfume is still wet it smells funny.. I’d say tangy and boozy. Then when it dries it I think it smell tasty. Blackberries is a dominent smell in it in my opinion. There is a deep smell, woody-incensey.. with tangy (tangy I guess would be the pineapple) sweet berries.

  48. :

    5 out of 5

My favorite of the original Harajuku Lovers line. Smells VERY sweet, so don’t wear this if you’re not into super-sweet scents. I mostly just smell pineapple when I wear it, but now that I’ve read other reviews, I do smell a bit of beer or wine…I think it makes this perfume really fun.

I was surprised to see grapefruit was not one of the ingredients. I smell grapefruit!

  55. :

This smells like fruity booze 🙂 I do get the red berries but I also get a hint of beer 🙂 I recommend Lil Angel Wicked style – it is a similar concept but it’s done better so it ends up smelling more like strawberry champagne.

  56. :

    4 out of 5

Love, love, love this scent. I blind purchased a 3.4 tester on eBay since I’m not a bottle collector & I do not regret it! It is a loud pineapple scent on me with an amber dry down. Great sillage & it lasts all day on my skin. This isn’t a sophisticated scent & I guess it doesn’t want to be, since I think Harajuku Lovers is targeted to the teen demographic. But my husband loves this scent on me & it reminds me of an obnoxious Clinique Happy (too demure in my opinion). I like my fragrances to POP & Lil’ Angel does the job just fine.

  57. :

    5 out of 5

I love the way this smells on my girlfriend. I don’t get the ‘fruity’ notes as much, more of a sexy vanillic sweetness. Reading other reviews, it seems people think it smells like beer. Hmmmm… maybe *that’s* why I like it so much…

  58. :

    4 out of 5

I don’t like this one even though i really love the harajuku lovers g fragrance. It smells like perfume that’s expired? Really chemical smell at first whiff. I tried it again today to see if i could smell any other notes but no luck.
I read someone describe it smelling like beer. Kind of i guess; it just smells really stale to me. :/
I will not be purchasing this again..

Lil’ Angel is sweeeeeet & fruuuuuuity!!!
She makes you feel as if you’ve been stepped into this candy shop… and stayed the rest of the day. Then just like magic, its gone. The flowers dont really come into play, rather… like an echo of a flowers… hellooo, helloooo, hellooooo….
Yup! That’s the echo of flowers and sweet fruity blends… coming from afar… 🙁
There is a sweet finish, but not like in the beginning. Rather a blend of want it wants to be. I’m sure the “lollipop accord” is to blame.

  60. :

I got this fragrance for eleven dollars at winners! Upon stumbling accross it, i realized i knew nothing about the scent whatsoever. Seduced by the price, i purchased lil’ angel immediately. Creator Gwen Stefani’s packaging is somewhere between tacky and adorable… regardless it adds much needed character to my perfume stash. The smell itself is quite pleasent. In fact, its very pleasent especially if the season is summer. Lil’ Angel smells at first of beer. After wearing it a couple of times i found it transformed on my skin and began to smell like creamy pienapple… then like grandma’s laundry detergent… then back to a sweet pienapple floral. Its not a linear scent but its appealing, youthfull and summery. *please note: Lil’ Angel lasts roughly 5 hours on my skin, and 6 on my clothing*

  63. :

    3 out of 5

Hmmm, sweet pineapple juice. Tis yummy.
To be honest, this is the only thing I get from Lil’ Angel – just the pineapple juice – but it is such a natural smelling representative of pineapple that it is entirely forgiven & quite enjoyable too. Sometimes pineapple ends up smelling boozy like Pina Colada but this is so sweet & innocent like a popper. Yum.

Fun, fresh, fruity, beautiful summer fragrance for happy people :)x

  65. :

My sister owns this fragrance. I love the bottle. I think the Harajuku Lovers line is not just like buying a fragrance, it’s collecting the whole line, as does my sister. Lil’ Angel is a light, fruity fragrance. To me it smells like bitter pineapples, with a tiny hint of some floral notes. This is my favourite so far out of the Harajuku Lovers collection. I love it!

  66. :

    3 out of 5

Lil Angel is my second favorite from the HL line. G being the 1st. Lil Angel is probably one of my favorite fruity florals on the market. The combination of the tart cranberry, pineapple and raspberry!! Its AMAZING!!! Its so refreshing and juicy!! Bravo once again Gwen!! : )

  67. :

    5 out of 5

Lil` Angel, as well as the rest of Harajuku Lovers, smells like a Disney fragrance for children, priced for $5.00, suitable for 5-10 years old girls. If you are older than 10 – it’s a joke. Escada fruity fragrances compared to Harajuku Lovers are the most complicated, sophisticated and mature scents one could ever come across.
I am just amazed by that power of advertising and the ability of some geniuses to make a best seller out of nowhere.

  68. :

    4 out of 5

Smells sort of like beer to me!lol…the pineapple & rose stand out the most to me,one of the better ones of this line.

  69. :

    5 out of 5

Yesss! That is exactly what I want to know! 🙂
For some reason when I saw the testers in stores, I knew they had the small bottles but when the salegirls spray the sample bottles, that is what I thought I was getting for the 30-something dollars. I was wrong. :((
It is too bad because I love those bottles so much better. Not just because of the size of it, it is much more realistic size. The dolls are so tiny and would probably get used up very quickly even if you didn’t wear much perfume.
But it’s a better bottle. If given a choice, I would let the little ones and youger women set buy the cute bottles. I might have bought one as a gift or collectors item for myself. It is very whimsical and I love that sort of thing. 🙂
But for myself I would rather a plain bottle. The stickers on it are cute enough and make me smile! 🙂
Actually if I ended up liking one of them enough, I would pay extra if I decided to get one, so I could have the bigger bottle. Even if it was a bit smaller than the tester. It is more realistic.
Anyway I hope they add something different to the line soon! I think they would increase their customer base and profit. 🙂 Just a thought, maybe I am wrong. That’s just what would appeal to me. 🙂
(Yea… can’t get past the cigarettes and soda pop! 🙂 Hopefully once the top notes and some of the heart passes, if this one has layers being so comercial, maybe it will smell good on me?)
update (2/4) I just spritzed the last of my sample this morning, family agreed weird smell. It’s funny because once it fades even a bit past most of the heart, it is sooo pretty. Warmth/comfort (maybe the same thing that stinks in the beginning? the woods? sorry just how it smells to me. ) And then you can smell some of the fruit. But I would have to get to like this, and I think I could over time. But I don’t want to have to. And if I have to pay 30 dollars and use a bottle up to decide. I don’t want to spend money on it right now. lol. And I don’t want to have to wait for the strong smell to go away, to smell the good smell. Which is very faint once it gets to that point. I am very sorry, because I was excited about this one, being fun, young, and from Gwen! I love her. 🙂 Maybe someone else will love it?

I am testing this now… When I first smelled it at the store I kind of cringed. There was something strong and chemical. I was told about the fruity notes but I couldn’t smell them so much. It didn’t smell bad though. So I took a sample home.
Since I haven’t smelled anything like this before it has confused me. Sometimes I think Gwen’s perfumes are really nice. And other times I don’t. it makes me sad because it’s qwen.
Here is what I am getting smelling this one tonight: And I am not being mean or putting it down. Just trying to find the thing that most resembles what I am smelling…
Then I thought ashes/ ashtray, and soda pop? I know that must sound weird.
The description is a really fruity one but chemicals more than fruit. I couldn’t smell the fruit but I figured I would give it a chance, since perfumes tend to change so much on me lol.
So that is what I am getting so far, cigaretes and maybe grape soda-pop. I know it doesn’t smell exactly like that, but it’s the closest thing I can think of. Don’t ask me why lol.
I am really sad it is not one of my favorites. Between the friuty notes, these dolls are so cute! But if they and up smelling cheap or chemical then I can’t buy one… I will try this sample the next few days and try to get used to it. 🙂
yeah cigaretes, some kind of soda pop or candy, or punch, and some kind of sweet vanilla at the bottom.
I will see how I think of it over the next few days. 🙂

The .33 oz is ridiculously small they shouldn’t even be allowed to sell them that small really all your buying is a doll. The 1 oz is better but still not big enough. Are they ever going to sell the 3.4 oz tester size?

I love this perfume. It smells like lollipops and pinapple. It is very sweet and good for people who like fruity perfumes. It is fresh, young, and energetic. If you mix this with G,as Oh Sugar said, it smells fantastic!

Smells like rancid pineapples, sitting out in the sun for over a week. Terribly cheap with hardly any effort put into this scent. In fact, much more effort was put into the dolls and their outfits than the actual fragrance, by FAR. Sorry to all who like it, but this was the best I could do on this one. Blech.

This is the third one I’ve tried and I don’t like it. I think if I was still 13 it would appeal to me, but pinepple on its own doesn’t really move me anymore. I have decide though that the samples would make a great X-mas present for my 10 year old sister.

Lovely! Rather sweet but not sugary, like G, I love the pineapple in it, it’s fresh and plesant. You know what happens when you mix it with G? You get pinacolada!

I love the smell of lil angel
so sweet and candy like, made me
smell my wrist all day long.
Love and lil angel are my fav of
    harajuku lovers but basically
I love em all for their unique design.

There was no doubt about it, when I first smelt this fragrance I knew there was a note of pineapple in there somewhere.
Pineapple is quite possibly my least favourite note since it doesn’t blend well with my skin chemistry and usually makes me nauseous.
Lil’ Angel reeks of pineapple. Strong, sharp, juicy and headache inducing.
This fragrance reminds me so much of YSL’s Baby Doll, it is almost like a complete replica. While the scent is quite fresh and for some, (who enjoy the smell of fresh pineapple), quite appealing, I can’t seem to warm towards this fragrance even though I have tried.
Lil’ Angel unfortunately was my least favourite out of the Harajuku Lovers series.

I think this scent is so harajuku japan style like no other of the scents

I just recived my samples of all the HL perfumes. I decided to try Lil’Angel first. Now it opens but extremly fruity and it smells alot like one of those Chupa Chup lollipops. I think that this scent is really great for any casual occasion such as school or hanging out with friends.
The only problem is that it disappeared so soon. But I think that if I layer it with lotion it will last longer. I am planning on mixing Lil’ Angel with Music I wonder what the effect would be.

Some of these smell good but 3 of them are not impressive.Gwen needs to up the size of the bottles instead of changing outfits on these pricey rip off’s.I bought 2 of them and I will not purchase anymore. $45.00 for what? an ounce of fragrance and a doll that I will toss in the trash one day? No more harajuku for me.

This is my favorite from the line of harajukus! its one of those perfumes where i feel i can breath in it. Love the fruity smell and the bottle is really cute.
The only thing is i think it smells a bit cheap and too simple for a ‘perfume’ rather than some single noted deoderant..
would love it as a gift, but definetly won’t go out buying it myself =]

I experienced Lil’ Angel intitially as a blind smiff. And I thought it was a Bond 9, (which may be a great endorsement of Harajuku, a condemnation of Bond or just a testament to how unsophisticated my nose it.) Here’s the thing, I thought I hated fruity perfume, apart from bitter citrus, but I like this. I like this a lot. I like how the sweet blends with the floral. I don’t get the berries, but I definitely do get the pineapple and the rose.
I think Malibu best summed up with light and happy.

I have now sampled both “Lil’ Angel” and “Baby” from the Harajuku line. Obviously, I will review “Baby” on the appropriate page. Since I found “Baby” so soft and charming, I expected “Lil Angel” to be, at the very least, pleasant. To my nose, “Lil Angel” is putrid with absolutely no favorable notes. I must be fair though. I only tolerated the scent for about 12 minutes. Normally, I will allow a fragrance to work it’s magic, regardless of the end result. I know that that is the only TRUE and REAL way to evaluate a perfume. However, I haven’t been this displeased with a fragrance since last week when I tested Usher’s newest scent. HL’s “Lil Angel” smells like burnt popcorn topped off with some fruit that has long-passed it’s expiration date. In all honesty, I cannot fathom how this fragrance would smell well on anyone. It is just bad and it doesn’t seem that anyone’s body chemistry could redeem this. Luckily, I find “Baby” absolutely precious and I look forward to trying the remaining three in this set.

Smells rather like Victoria’s Secret Pear Glace to me, nothing particularly unique. Just a pleasant, strongly pear-scented fragrance.

Credit where credits due; LIL’ ANGEL Is a light & fun ‘happy’ scent.
However, it isn’t anywhere near original & the top notes are too sweet, it borders on sickly on me. It’s still my favourite out of the line, though.
All in all it’s too tween. The lasting power is good & the doll topped bottle is so cute!!
Scent notes: Raspberry, cranberry, blackberry, pineapple, blossom, candied violet, sugared rose, lollipop accord, hinoki wood and crystal amber.

I bought this one yesterday. My parents love it. I sprayed the tester all over my jacket. It is so refreshing. My dad said that it smelled like apple juice. They both think that this is the best one out of all the Harajuku Lovers. I said to my parents that the company will make a lot of money out of Harajuku Lovers because people would
