Description

Gucci Guilty and Gucci Guilty Intense have been heralded as the scents of 21st Century seduction. In these audacious, globally award-winning perfumes, today’s guiltless young men and women have discovered the scent of provocation that has proved utterly addictive. Thrill seekers the world over have been seduced into indulging in guilty pleasures. Now, in the dark and mysterious Gucci Guilty Black, the story becomes still more compelling, giving it a new, more passionate and more daring edge. A sequel and a new chapter.

Creative Director Frida Giannini remarks: “These characters fascinate us as they are taken on a life of their own. We are eager to know about the next chapter in their story as it unfolds through Guilty Black”. The Guilty Black lovers bring out the most thrilling sides of each other: alone they are magnificent, together irrepressible. Fearless in their passion, they are brazen, shameless, unpredictable – ready for each and every explosive encounter. Their attraction is instinctive: they go where they sense danger and each other. Too much is never enough for our young hedonists, who drive each other to live life to the fullest. Again and again, they give in to pleasure and the excitement of breaking the rules.

Gucci Guilty and Gucci Guilty Intense are scents of indulgence and guilty pleasures. Now, in Gucci Guilty Black, the house chooses provocative, glossy black to encase the glowing red and green of its iconic webbing.

GUCCI GUILTY BLACK Pour Homme is a vital GREEN fougère in which dynamism spells seduction:

Top notes:

The scent captures the senses with an explosion of bracing green coriander and invigorating lavender that
evokes youthful confidence.

Middle notes:

Its middle motifs celebrate ardent, yet assured masculinity. Aphrodisiac orange flower – stimulating and
entrancing – fuses with neroli and richly verdant aromatic notes.

Base notes:

The patchouli that is the hallmark of Gucci fragrances reaches a new potency blended with a lavishly textured
cedarwood – intensity at its most alluringly energetic.

Gucci Guilty took the house’s golden entwined Gs and used this emblem as an incitement to subvert. Gucci Guilty Black carries this association still further – never has the coupling within this logo appeared more provocative. The brand is equally famed for its iconic green and red web stripe – signalling both “made in Italy” and “luxury heritage”. here this webbing is transformed into gendered colour schemes: danger-signal red for the Guilty Black heroine, unfettered green for its hero. The flacons are uncompromising bold, black perfection. As one would expect from Gucci, there is great tactile appeal in the bottles’ marriage of high-tech and high style. Giannini notes: “I wanted to create a provocative design for Guilty Black, yet building on the now iconic packaging of Guilty. We added an evocative red glass for the female fragrance, green for the male, as a tribute to the timeless Gucci web stripe.”

The imagery through which the house has brought Gucci Guilty to the world has captured attention: a spectacular combination of director Frank miller’s film noir and Frida Giannini’s sensuality. For this new project, art direction was again overseen by Riccardo Ruini, Creative Director at REm (Ruini e mariotti). Ruini has art directed Gucci’s advertising for the past five years. The campaign for Gucci Guilty Pour Femme won the coveted prize for Best media Campaign at the 2011 US FiFi Awards.

The advertisement was shot at Cinecittà Studios, the legendary home of Italian cinema. Again, its director was Sin City creator Frank miller; its stars femme fatale Evan Rachel Wood and hollywood action hero Chris Evans. Now, in Gucci Guilty Black, we join them for a fresh chapter in their story, and a thrilling sequel to what has come before. The chemistry between them is electric.

Leading fashion photographers Mert & Marcus were again responsible for the print advertising – explosively sensual images in which the gleam of the lovers’ skin is cast in red and green light. Mert & Marcus explain: “We see the couple at night, in flagrante, washed in electric green and red neon. The aura is raw and compelling. very modern, very sexy, very Gucci.”

Gucci Guilty Black Pur Homme is available as 50 and 90ml edt, followed by 90ml after shave and 150ml shower gel. Gucci Guilty Black Pour Homme was launched in 2013.

Wow so many bad reviews for a great masterpiece is a really unique fragrance that smelled really well blend. Woody notes that give that masculine cara here with little touches of sweetness . Great compliment getter ( if you want to get compliments from milfs ) this is a blind buy . However not like the pour homme this is a little bit more for grown up guys 25+ if you are a teen and want to smell really masculine go for the Gucci guilty eau por homme.
    Uniqueness :10/10
    Longetivety:8/10
    Performance :8/10
    Compliments :7/10 milf girls .

I don’t understand the hate this gets. Try it. This stuff is awesome. How the hell people consider this a granny/ outdated scent will be a mystery for the rest of my life.

It’s ok, nothing special. Very green and summery…

This has one of the craziest openings and gets you excited to wear it for the first 15 minutes. Then the dry down gives you a huge tease and it turns right into a skin scent…sillage and projection are terrible. I really want to like this scent but it just doesnt perform.

To me, this smells off-putting. Sold mine a long time ago.
Wore it for 3 months but I couldn’t wear it anymore. Maybe it is a compliment monster but I just can’t wear anything that I don’t like to impress others

Blind bought this in Gordman’s a few years back. Good juice for what I paid. Not worth retail but still worth it. A major compliment getter on me. 8/10

That’s a quite large description of something that smells like a nice 80 years old granny.

Gucci gully Black is a fragrance that years ago I really loved and enjoyed and frequently wore it to work and actually received a few compliments with it.
This opens up very green, musky, and soapy and this stays linear but in the drydown the lavender and woods come out making this a more smooth, soapy and aromatic scent. After being more experienced with scents over the year I still do like this but don’t love it like I used to.
Performance on this is rather good as it lasts 6-8 hours and projects very well for an hour and a half before only having decent projection after that. On my skin I have to careful of overspraying as this is nice but does have a muskiness that can be overbearing if over applied. So for me 2-3 sprays for work and 4-5 sprays max for wearing it going out.
Overall rating — 7 out of 10 ! Very nice scent that I do enjoy but unfortunately at this stage in the game I do have scents I will pick over this and because of that I just can’t rate it higher. I’m still debating if I’m going to repurchase this after I finish the bottle.

  9. :

Solid but arguably mainstream fragrance, though probably my favourite from Gucci’s Guilty line.
I believe it would be a fairly safe blind-buy. Personally I only wear it casually, as I think there are better options for dressing up but, of course, it is up to the individual.
After checking on checkfresh, it seems my batch is from November 2012, so I cannot speak for any of the newer batches. In my case, the fragrance lasts on my skin for quite a long time. Especially if I wear it in the warmer days, it is still present on me after around 9-10 hours. The sillage/projection, on the other hand, isn’t great. It does project for about 1-2 hours, then, with time, it will become a skin scent.

  10. :

    5 out of 5

This is a great masculine scent. The composition of the notes gives off green, floral scent with a spritz of woody notes that combines into a sexy masculine scent. More suited for cooler months and night time. I love this scent on my husband and this fragrance would definitely elevate a suit and tie outfit for sure. The longevity is not bad. Overall a great masculine scent that is not overpowering.

This juice gets a lot of hate but women love it and it’s pretty solid, generic in a good way which make for a crowd pleasure. Not an “special even” worthy but signature/ everyday worthy

I have 2013 batch bottle, use it time-to-time and it has no perfomance issues you all talkin’ about. Great longevity for about 8-10 hrs and strong projection for 3-4 hours. So I was surprised when read comment here after 4 years using this frag.
The scent is pretty nice, but not my favorite, but fresh and clean, very versatile. I thought it is loud until this moment :/

My girlfriend liked this one best out of about a dozen scents we sampled at the mall. This includes your BDC, Valentino, TDH, Prada and YSL. (She doesn’t dig this whole sweet movement) Is it all that deep? No. Super strong? No. But she loves it when she puts her head on my chest. Yes, I prefer D&G The One, but this works great when I want an easy, clean and sexy fougere.

  15. :

    3 out of 5

    One of my favorite fragrances.
It is clean, versatile, safe, manly and sexy.
Gucci Black smells very good. It’s not boring or a supermarket fragrance.
The performance is average-good (like many fragrances).
I love the dry down : green notes with a hint of patchouli.

  16. :

    3 out of 5

I get very light green notes, as airy as a men’s perfume might go. I do not get any fruity notes, but instead, some wafts of the ocean – I imagine standing in an open meadow; I cannot see the ocean, but I can hear it softly beyond. Lavender is hiding somewhere, but it is quite elusive, only showing occasionally.
Gucci Guilty Black Pour Homme is nothing extraordinary. It is pretty linear, with little evolution beyond what I smell from first sniff. Some might like it, but if you are looking for complexity and nuance, consider a different perfume.
It certainly isn’t a night perfume. It lacks strength and intrigue. Perhaps a day-time perfume, for work or the everyday. You will not wow anybody, but neither will you offend. It is for the safe and oddly conservative, which is totally acceptable.
I get pretty weak sillage, almost skin-scent; longevity is moderate. I would not purchase as I am compelled by complexity, but I imagine enough people would like this.
    Scent: 4/10
    Sillage: 2/10
    Longevity: 5/10

Why so much hate ? I get many compliments by it ! This is something very nice by Gucci after Gucci intense oud !

  18. :

    3 out of 5

This is the first perfume I ever had.
To me it is a night perfume. Something I wouldn’t wear at Summer and late Autumn. It smells heavy and cold!
I would wear this in October nicely dressed in a peacoat and ripped jeans. That is the perfect scenario for this scent.
At Summer only at night. Preferably on a date and intimate moments.
Not an everyday scent! You should wear it occasionally.
Longevity is about 8 hours. At least to me it was. Sillage is great in the beginning then it decreases. I mean the first 10-20 minutes are very good. Fills the room then it calms down and people will only smell it near you.
The bottle and the box are elegant looking. They even look good as a decoration on your shelves,
Not very outstanding, nor a classic, however you can’t go wrong with this one. If you are not a fragrance collector or a fan, but you like the smell you should definitely buy it!

  19. :

    3 out of 5

    I agree with TonyAKAM :
Black is a different spin on Gucci Homme which I liked but would not buy due to performance issues.
Still trying out Black as far as performance goes. If it passes my test I would seriously consider purchasing this.
Groundbreaking ? NO but a very good mainstream scent that I could easily pass off as luxurious if worn the proper way. I don’t need labels ! I can rock my own style just give me something to work with !
    Update:
Wound up buying it. Put 8 sprays on and less than an hour later a girl couldnt smell it on me. She buried her nose on my shirt and neck.
I will never buy Gucci again. Ripped off for $90.

  20. :

Don’t like this. One of the most awful smelling perfumes to me among thousands of pleasant ones which are available. I wont recommend this to any one who knows the value of money which could be used for something useful than this flop.
    overall 3/10

  21. :

    4 out of 5

All the dislike! So, why are sales so high??
Everyone here seems to hate the Gucci Guilty line, but the general population loves it. Gucci Guilty Black is an uber-masculine spin on the original Gucci Guilty. Sometimes, that’s all you want is something that smells clean, masculine, and pleasant to the masses.
Gucci Guilty Eau is still my favorite flanker from the Guilty line. It’s an improved Gucci Guilty in every way, with even better performance in spite of the name ‘Eau’. Eau competes with the original Gucci Guilty, as well as lighter, long-lasting aquatics, like Versace Pour Homme and Acqua Di Gio. Black, on the other hand, competes with scents like Bvlgari Man Extreme. UBER masculine is the only way I can describe it.
While this Black flanker isn’t my favorite (and probably won’t be most peoples’ favorite) it’s not THAT bad guys. This is one that makes a decent dumb reach for days when you want something masculine and you just don’t care for complexity.
Also, your girlfriend (who isn’t into fragrances) probably loves this one, so take that as you will. 🙂
TLDR: This is the Coty Preferred Stock of our time…

  22. :

    4 out of 5

I’ll start by saying that I’m a Guilty fan. These fragrances were an acquired taste for sure, but I think they’re all pretty wonderful. For me, this one bears very little resemblance to the rest of the Guilty line. Where the others feature that distinct fruity lemon/orange/patchouli accord, Black offers up a lush lavender/coriander(cilantro) combo instead. It’s refreshing and bright, almost ‘sporty’. The patchouli and cedar do emerge in the drydown, but to a lesser extent than in the original Guilty, Intense, and Eau. It’s probably the safest blind buy out of the bunch, but it’s still so readily available in department stores and shops like Sephora and Ulta, that there’s no reason to buy before you try. It may not be groundbreaking or controversial, but it is undeniably high-quality and effortlessly enjoyable.

Smells good but not as complex as I expected for the gucci house.
It smells like high school cologne. I will update later. Has a mild aquatic note which I dont like

I decided to get this Flanker of GG after reading some of the reviews here, although I see is a lot of dislikes on top, but I have the GG Stud flanker and for what I know is like the regular GG but in a different bottle, and this “Black” version seems to be a deeper version with more character.
I am wearing today for the first time, and I had a couple of good compliments but at this point is has become very close to my skin after 6 hrs.

  25. :

    5 out of 5

I absolutely fell in love with this scent from the cap at the fragrance store and so it arrived recently with a few selections. I have read alot of negative reviews about longevity and I was hoping that it might boil down to skin type or ph or that perhaps people were wrong but they were not.. I am very disappointed about the longevity. I don’t think you can overspray, (YES YOU CAN EW) the scent is really nice.. its very sweet but balanced – if you like to lean that way then maybe worth it..
I love the scent enough that I will probably use it before bed, but would not find it to be dependable for a long night out nor something I would take with me on vacation. If I do wear it out I will treat it like a bodyspray. Its short life on the skin deems this to be more suitable for something like a short casual date or for when I only have one appointment that day and i’m in a hurry to spray something on that won’t make me see too formal. I can imagine that anyone would dislike the scent. It’s impressive when its there…
I may try to over kill on this one just to see if I can make it last. I had plans for this fragrance but now I will need to improvise.. All said, I am glad to have it on the shelf but I will be shopping for another Gucci. I still have not smelled the Original Gucci Guilty so maybe thats where I will land.

@FlossmoorRay said it all. This scent is exactly what he told you about. This is a very nice, sexy, green and warm scent which i like to smell on myself and which apparently is welcome by others aswell as i have received some unexpected compliments from the other gender. Longevity and projection is moderate (by far not bad) and the scent itself is very fine, clean and pleasant.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

I blind bought this fragrance because I found it cheap but I don’t understand all the hate it’s getting I love it, yes it’s nothing revolutionary but between guilty black and guilty, black wins all the way it smells so sexy.
    Scent:8
    Projection:6
    Longevity:6
Verdict, it’s a great summer scent could be worn in winter if it lasted longer but nothing to special but if you find it cheap go for it.

Deviated septums and incessant “douchebaggery” run rampant when rating….errr..berating a fragrance. More of the same with the reviews of Gucci Guilty Black. You don’t need to be a “pinky up” reviewer or a high school sophomore just looking for something to wear to the homecoming dance to notice that this fragrance gets the job done. “It’s been done before” you mean having women of all ages ask you what you’re wearing because they love it? You’re right. There was TV show called Happy Days and a character named Arthur Fonzarelli portrayed the role of a man wearing Gucci Guilty Black. “Soapy”? I’m sorry you’re an enemy of clean. The thing is you CAN wear this day/night/Winter/Summer because it smells like a good time. Not for you of course, but rather for whoever is going to be smelling your neck chest and clothes. For those reasons this fragrance nailed it. For the other “expert” opinions…I’m sorry they didn’t serve your half caf no whip soy double shot in an enema right before you hit the submit button to this review.

I liked the samples of Gucci Guilty and it is a possibility, but I wanted to see what I thought about the Black and Intense.
This one is very strong and catching whiffs constantly. Only problem is it is just not a pleasing smell for me. Not really any black here, but a whole lot of green.
Just not my style, but if you like green scents, give it a whirl. Seems to be a quality fragrance.

  32. :

    Highly underrated
Tried more than 80 different scents, this is easily in the top 10, makes me wonder if this rating system is rigged or this has been reformulated recently for the better cos newer reviews seems to be in its favor.
Better than the original guilty, which i found the mid too sweet, this black has this floral mid that blends well with the original guilty, balancing it out better

  33. :

I dont usually post reviews but since this is an excellent scent and i hate that everyone is hating on it
I got this a while ago and the bottle is almost finished by now, the only reason it not finished is because i forgot it at my parents home .. i think i’ll get a new one later..
This is a very nice somewhat masculine sexy fragrance that is subtle and inoffensive.. i think its versatile and you can wear it all year long
I have around 70 perfumes and this is one of my favourites
only problem is the longevity and projection is average which is kind of expected from this type of perfume

I was recently at a upscale nightclub and the bathroom attendant had this as an option. Slightly buzzed, I sprayed both sides of my neck and both wrists then walked out. Instantly regretted it. Strong, sweet and soapy. Ugh. Smelled like an Axe body spray. Never again. Definite pass.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

A very uplifting fruity green scent to my nose that seems to project fairly well and last a few hours of acceptable performance, I don’t count a fragrance’s lastability as a skin scent ..to me it’s as good as gone and never going to achieve anything as a skin scent. It reminds me of lacoste white a lot..very safe as a first date scent and will have the lady believe you are a fresh clean person. Great for any season and a safe blind buy, not to be confused with anything ground breaking but like others have said, in a complicated world its simplicity is superb…job done!

  36. :

    4 out of 5

Gucci guilty green would’ve been better. Nothing “black” about this whatsoever, but green, oh so green. They’ve muted that creamaicle citrus vibe in guilty and intense and instead turned this into a spicy, woody aromatic. What a fantastic spring and fall scent, longevity is hit or miss. I’ve put this on and no one smelled me then other times an entire room was asking what I was wearing, go figure.
Lots of compliments for a straightforward fragrance, kind of like a contemporary version of Brut. The way it smells on clothing is fantastic, and can be worn casual but I enjoy it moreso for formal or dress up occadions. it’s agood alternative to the stronger, more potent options like a Chanel anteaus or and oud fragrance, again especially in the fall or spring.
I’m in a vast minority but I really enjoy this, guilty intense, made to measure, Gucci by Gucci and even Gucci sport. I recommend you give this a try with an open mind (all of the Gucci’s I listed for that matter) because these can be had cheap on fragrance.net or other online discounters. Guilty black: woodsy green, aromatic not moody and dense, enjoy!

In an age where colognes live and die by a handful of youtube reviewers and niche snobs, this line has been the scapegoat to unwarranted negativity. I understand that this isn’t a daring scent. Sometimes I’m not in the mood to smell like some off the wall note that gets positive attention of a small(VERY SMALL) percentage of male fragrance-heads and negative feedback from the rest of the world (animals included). Sometimes I like to hear “wow, you smell nice” or “you smell great, what is that?”, and thats when I reach for Gucci Guilty. Do I have other colognes that are “artistic” or “less synthetic”?..yes! Do I have other colognes that I enjoy better than this??? yes! I understand that I don’t live in a bubble…hence the reason I own fragrances that are pleasing not only me, but to the general population. This is one of those fragrances.

This is a nice fragrance, is woody, herbal and fresh. I can smell lavender, coriander, green notes and cedar, altough too I can detect a big presence of ambroxan.
I prefer the Intense versión, but this isn´t so bad, yet a bit boring.
It remember me to Sauvage of Dior.

I came here because of babbs reviews. He said this is a real lady pleaser. I look at the horrendous ratings but as I scrolled down this comment sections… I notice that whatever females on here rated this as a scent they really found pleasing. I guess mr babbs might have a point.

i love this fragrance, it’s fresh, it’s kind of normal. It has that fresh bite to it, and I think that makes it really versatile. Definitely will be wearing this a lot.

  43. :

It’s pleasant and stated by many not ground breaking but I think Gucci have taken something very simple and dine it well. I would wear this anywhere. I think it would be great for a job interview for a position that deals with customers. It’s classy, understated and pleasant.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

First, i do agree with all you guys that said that this is just a boring, generic fragrance..
i mean, true, it’s not ground breaking, already done by some others company before, and really not challenging..
    all are true.. but..
on the other hand, i do have to agree with some that says that it smells good and refreshing..
when i use this, i get more compliments than other of my more expensive and so called high quality perfume..
i mean, ok sometimes i use what makes me comfortable, like some daring scents, complex, etc..
but on some point, i also want to use something that will please the people around me..
and mostly they are not a perfume collector as i do, so their nose is not like my nose that can appreciate the complexity in perfumes (i mean not always).. mostly they just like to smell some pleasing smell and the “generic” like this Gucci GBPH..
I guess that every single individual has their preferences and their own taste.. and it’s not necessary always a bad thing..
don’t judge and slam people that like a certain fragrance even if you feel that fragrance is sucks..
you can express your feeling of disliking the fragrance in your review, but please keep it to your self and don’t insult others..
so, please respect and accept others preferences.. people come here to see reviews from every people, not just the one with huge collector and expert nose..
    thanks

Although not listed there is a plum note in there. Performance is average. Im still trying to see if I like this because its so damn green and fresh. Maybe too much and also linear which would be the number one cause of me not choosing to stay with it
Update: This bottle is linear as can be, way to fresh and way to green for me. At first I thought I liked it but after multiple wears I will be gifting. There is so much more they could of did with this. Performance is good though

  47. :

    4 out of 5

Okay, I plan to get a tad philosophical and long winded with this one. Please feel free to scroll right on past what I have to say. (You Have Been Warned)
Now lets imagine we are in a world where fragrances are in families, not by brand but by style. If a certain style defined its use, this would mean that we would not be able to classify a fragrance by notes, but maybe by mood or even attitude.
If you have stuck with me this far lets go a little further. While I will in no way tout this as a high level/class juice there is something to be enjoyed in the very bottom of this “Modern Synth”. Its the attitude that it carries, the style the (for lack of a better word) swagger. I want to call this “The Little Brother”. Though its notes are not similar to some of my go to fragrances, it carries itself as such. Its not a Titan of the night like a “Bleu De Chanel”, but it has the same attitude. It could walk around campus pounding its chest like one of its big brothers.
I could call Gucci Guilty Black “Super Green”. You can look up top and see the notes say the same. I enjoyed it in all of its synthetic glory, but would probably only buy it for someone that was new to the game. 6/10
    Thanks For Reading,
    -Auminded

I don’t have liked. It’s good, but not for me, I don’t think it be so innovating. Because, it smells so usual, fresh, and till it remember me other fragrance, I feel like a deja-vu sensation…. Between this and Gucci Guilty (traditional) I prefer the latter (it’s a little bit better).

CK Free and Tommy Eau de Prep are, as I remember, relatives of Gucci Guilty. I don’t know how I convinced myself that this Black would be a real improvement over the original and at the same time the others. All the way synthetic, I smelled this kind before, with identical results.

  51. :

So because of all the negative reviews I had to come to this fragrances defense.
To all the cologne snobs or people that have many colognes this isnt going to be a fragrance thats going to stand out. BUT if you simply want a frag thats going to be pleasing to others and get you compliments then this a frag to at least try out because I have a lot of different colognes(some even niche) and this surpasses most in the compliment category.
This is a fresh, green, somewhat musky, somewhat soapy fragrance thats not too diverse but its just simply pleasing.
Performance on this is just above average. It projects pretty decent on my skin anywhere from 2-3 hours and lasts a total of 6-8 hours which is decent for a fresher scent.
Another big con about this is its very versatile as its an all season and works for any occasion.
Overall id rate this a 7.5 out of 10 ! Its nothing extremely unique but for it having a good smell, above average performance and versaitility it deffinitly makes it a better fragrance.

    Soo green & peaceful.
    Ahhhhhh……
One of the few fragrances that are suitable for winter & summer, causal or formal, day or night.
    Lovely!
    ——-
Ignore all the snobby reviews here. There are even a few who wrote multiple reviews hating on this fragrance, which led me to believe they are not unbiased & are nothing but haters.
The rule of the thumb is simple: if you like it & it suits you, wear it!

One of the best there is.
Have tried almost all the other Gucci colognes for men, and this ranks in my top 5. Long lasting and the sexy of course.
When I first started wearing this, I got complimented many a times. People kept asking me for the name of the cologne i was wearing…pssst! as if i was going to share it with them. Hell to the NOO! it’s my signature cologne!
    9.5/10!!!!

Smells like hair products that women buy, longivity and projection are good but smells cheap, a pass for me.

I bought this in duty free, at first the smell on the spray card was good enough to buy it, however when I got home, I sprayed on my skin and it just reminds me of a Lynx shower gel I once had…
Its a nice enough smell just not that great as an aftershave. Definitely sample this before buying! 5/10

So, after wearing this scent for the past month, here are my 2 cents:
Have I gotten compliments? – Yes ( from Men also )
Is this something to buy? – Maybe. I say this because I think this will be a hit or miss with people.
In my humble opinion, It has that Gucci signature in it, I can’t put my finger on it but if you have smelled other ones, this one will be familiar.
It is good but not great. Nothing spectacular but nothing you can really go wrong with either.
I like it but I don’t love it.
As for the times to wear it, I think its right for the night but won’t be wrong to wear it in the day also. A cooler weather fragrance I think.

I purchased Gucci Guilty Black on a blind buy and I really really like the opening, but… on the dry down it becomes WAY too powder, don’t get me wrong I got complements with this fragrance I am just saying the power of the open is lost during the dry down.
This fragrance is perfect for the nights more specifically autumn nights. The scent is a bit soft and light and it last a respectable amount time. The scent is very pleasant and I do not regret purchasing it.
    Scent: 7/10
    Longevity: 5/10
    Silliage: 4/10
    Jury Verdict: 7.5/10

There’s a duty-free luxury mall near where I live with a huge fragrance store (one of my favorite places to visit). They are always pushing this scent. Must be some good commissions or a promotional deal, but they have 1,000 perfumes and this one usually has at least one person standing around just to push it on passersby. I was told it is their best seller to tourists.
One day I gave it a try on one wrist before I walked around the mall for awhile, why not? I thought it was alright, not as terrible as the reviews make it, but certainly not in the buy category for me. Something about it didn’t sell me personally. Yet, I was getting some major compliments on it as I went through the rest of the mall. For example, a lady at the Burberry store told me it smelled great and even commented on the sillage (“Sir, I could smell the trail of your cologne on you as you walked by and it was very nice.”) In case you think it is a conspiracy, I doubt the Burberry ladies are out to compliment Gucci cologne. Actually, the people in the Gucci store didn’t say anything about it. In case you think that people at the mall were just out to flatter me to get sales, I’ve worn plenty of different scents around that mall, and this one clearly stood out. It made me start to think about actually picking it up. It lasted for hours after I got home, very good longevity. Unfortunately, my wrist started itching after awhile and I got redness and little bumps on my wrist. Some sort of allergic reaction.
Well, I’m never going to buy and wear something that gives me rashes. This pretty much never happens to me, but definitely another good reason to try before you buy. Oh well.

I was given this scent as a gift, unfortunately it was really not to my taste nose wise. I can see this having appeal to young men & young women, but I found it remarkable only in how boring a scent it is. Now I feel ‘Guilty’ for being ungracious in my opinion. Very rare is it that I dislike a scent so much that I just want to wash it off (as some say on this forum)but I really did…..

Dully average. Dry down has strong scent of apples – reminds me of cheap shampoo.

    What’s in a name?
Guilty. Just the name makes me think of a dirty, forbidden, naughty scent. Perhaps playful too. Add the word Black and it becomes obscure and daring.
Now what a disappointment when this fragrance smelled more like a picnic on the park than a wild night out!
It starts with green notes, citrus and lavender. I have to say that it’s not original at all and in fact I own a Playboy fragrance that smells quite similar (Ibiza?)and of course for a fraction of the cost of Guilty Black. For $12 this is a fabulous perfume, for $85 I expect something better.
I know that people like and dislike fragrances and it’s all based on personal preferences. But seriously, Guilty Black is just a nice scent but pretty much that’s all. It leaves a clean, musky scent slightly woody.
If you collect, enjoy and know about perfumes, then I don’t see the point in owning Guilty Black. But if you are looking for a nice, safe for work, inoffensive scent, then maybe you should give it a try.

    Reminds me of Joseph Randle.
I have a tester bottle and dont really like it. He could have asked me and I would have given it to him for free.

I know this fragrance receives alot of negative reviews but I really love this! While I can agree that it isnt something extremely unique thats gonna turn the fragrance world on its head it still smells really good to my nose. I dont have issues either with projection or longevity as others have stated. I do however think that Black wasn’t a good choice as a name as this is definitely a GREEN smelling fragrance. I will repurchase this one. 🙂

One of the worst perfumes i ever sampled, i don’t want to be mean to the designer of the fragrance but really, what did they have in mind? and how did Gucci reps accept this? It smells very synthetic to the extent that you can’t even pick a single note, The only scent you smell is Something “green” distorted by lavender or violet and that’s it. The bottle is cheap, the color makes no sense, Guilty black and the bottle is green?
Everything is probably wrong with this one, the longevity and sillage though are very good.

In addition to my previous review of this perfume, I expected this to have a more offensive scent compared to it’s older brother- Gucci Guilty. I was wrong, this one IPAs a more aromatic, fresh and sweet scent that lasts very long
