This wonderful blend revelate when the traditional sophisticated gentlemens´ After Shave (e.g. Dunhill Edition) meets the Stewardess´ discrete scent (Estée Lauder´s White Linen) in the galley when boarding the aircraft.
Please keep in mind that the present smell of kerosene plays an important role in this mix.
I guess you figured why we love this. Simply, because we associate this fragrance with beautiful flight attendants, well dressed business men and of course the night flight in First Class to Hong Kong.

I am wearing this fragrance today. It has been a while since I wore it last summer. Such a good white floral sandalwood fragrance. Very unisex for the men that are not bothered by floral notes.
Moreover, I tried to get the male fragrance community aware of this gem. Why has the prices been creeping up? I believe this may be discontinued, if not please comment to let the community know the truth. It was $15-20 bucks on Ebay last year!! Now, it is about $30 at its cheapest… Most prices are $50 and above. Men and women fans of this one please stock up before the prices get close to $100. I do not think this fragrance is worth that price tag. Decent longevity if applied to clothes and skin-6 hours with 5 or 6 sprays.

Unique, smart, fresh. A better version for Calvin’s ck one made by a big Italian house & brand. Perfect for both genders as it will setlle itsels differently on both. Very nice for any time & absolutely fantastic to wear for hot weather. Even better is the quality. Staying power is pretty amazing for a fresh fragrance. yet another perfect Gianfranco Fèrre’s fragrance.

I have to write a review as a truly manly man. This is a white floral scent. This scent does open up with a women type perfume vibe for the first 5 mins, but turns CK One-ish in genre. It’s no more feminine than that, so fellas chill out and give it a try, if you do like florals such as 4711 etc. After that, it is akin or similar to the other fragrance from this house bergamotto Marino which got me curious of this fragrance. It does NOT smell the same, but once again no more feminine than Marino.
It settles down very well to a Dove or Caress soap vibe, which is beautiful on a man, like me, who is a heavy sweater.
**Fragrance lesson. I notice that MOST men are phobic of smelling like a woman. News flash. Men natural produce MUSK, so a fragrance labeled or viewed as feminine is going to turn slightly masculin any way on you–natural PH. Also, light scents or florals tend to be very fresh and not overwhelming on us.
Back to the fragance. It will not cloying because it is not obtrusive in nature. It is light and settles very fresh on clothes to a soapy or fabric jasmine vibe.
Tested it. Ask my wife to smell it, she said it smelled good & didnt occur to her it is for women too. Fragrances give her a headache quick, and if she doesn’t like it she will let you know quick. It passed the wife test. Oh, I went with 6/7 sprays in the heat too. Sillage is arm length for 2 hrs. Longevity is 4/5 hours on none sweaty skin. 5/6 on fabric
9/10 unisex for hot or warm days. Dove or Caress soap dry down. It makes men’s clothes smell fabric softener fresh and skin out the shower fresh. It is a $70 unisex fragrance by a respected perfumer you can get for under $15…blank stare

This has an original and complex smell. A rich, warm spiciness, coupled with light fruits. It has an ideal balance of masculine and feminine aspects. The drydown is woody, fresh, with an oriental background.

I just got it today in a swap. I always wanted to try it because of the weird name but also because I like Ferre in general. I like it a lot, I think it

One of the best “unisex” fragances … I mean totaly uncommon, really out of ordinary in Unisex Fragances World … Very very special, dry, airly, bit spice … saddly is discontinue, and was re formulated but never was the same masterprice as the 1995 …

Subtle, sublime and elusive. Dry and very subtle indeed. Different, androgynous, not easy to understand but not that complicated to wear. I appreciate it like a high quality silk blouse.

I worked at an upscale dept store in 1995 when this came out. I always felt it was created specifically because cK One was so hugely popular and this was the upscale answer to the fresh clean unisex fragrance trend at the time. (cK One was at Macy’s so there was no way in hell would be it sold a Neiman’s or Bergdorf’s)
I remember liking it enough to spray myself when I worked my shift, thinking it was clean and fresh. I also remember getting bored with it rather quickly. It never really caught on and it didn’t sell that well to be honest. In my opinion if you need an all over fresh smelling body spray type fragrance during the summer months, and you can get this for a deal online, I say go for it. But if you are looking for an fresh, clean citrus based fragrance, there are tons of other more interesting and sophisticated options out there.

Fresh simply and clean more flower less citrus little powdery. Best smell on women more than men. Good long last and average sillage on me. Good for spring & summer ,easy to wear for every where.

Based on people’s reviews prasing this perfume, I bought it. Well, I regret this blind buy. This perfume does absolutely nothing for me. Actually it feels more like a cologne, not an “eau de toilette”.
    – Very poor sillage.
    – Nice, fresh and citrusy smell but NOTHING SPECIAL AT ALL.
I wonder what other people find so unusual or original about that smell. To me, this is a very common citrus smell, the only difference with this one is the powdery touch they added.
Overall, this is a OK fragrance which will please fans of citrus fragrances. If like me you are into origonal smells, this one is not for you.

This smells very similar to AV by Adreinne Vittadini. Citrus and soft. A very nice low frequency perfume. I love both perfumes.

Hmmm… well, it’s a complex matter: This fragrance is green-woodsy and… a little bit salty on my skin (middle notes). Nothing fruity in it, nor citrusy. Flowers, if at all detectable, are of the white kind. It is probably one of the most intriguing fragrances I have ever had. Subtle also and a little powdery (dry-down). Not extremely feminine – I’d classify it closer to unisex – and certainly not imposing. Nevertheless, I will be wearing it with pleasure. To me it is, most of all, a scent for spring time.
EDIT: I love it. It is a warm floral green fragrance, the saltiness is barely there after a while, but I still enjoy that little pinch of spice.

This frag is very very very floral and every time i wear this masterpiece, men and women ask me what am i wearing? seems like everybody loves it to smell in somebody else, Ph skin has a lot to do with this one as well. Some guys might find this one incrediblely femenine. I love it.

This fragrance is so very unique that it is understandable that many would find it “weird” or simply
    unwearable.
Truth be told, it possesses an intricate, warm melange of floral, spicey, woodsy and citrus that melds into a subtle yet gorgeous scent.
I have never smelled anything like this…not even close and it truly deserves a chance.
At a time when so many fragrances repeat the same old formula over and over again, it is reassuring to know that there still is Gieffeffe.

A bit too flowery for a unisex fragrance although it does smell great. I have this one for ages and the bottle is still way over half full.

I once used it as a substitute for CK One,but it always smelled weird on me.It’s a fresh, but weird perfume,so I returned back to the basics..

My dad used to buy to me and to my sister this perfume when we were teenagers and now this fragnance is favourite for both of us. We just adore this smell! Yes, it smells weird, but very beautiful! And honestly I think it’s feminine, not unisex.

I really hate this one. Who said it’s a unisex scent?! Very dry, flowery and weird smelling. Smells like a Nivea cream and it gives me headache. Never again.

Deep, sophisticated, sensual smell. Even if it was created in 1995, it still have the elegance that will never pass over.
It’s more for spring or summer, day, or night – it’s perfect. I found it classic, and elegant.
I bought the perfume and i felt in love with him. It’s long lasting and creates a misterious feeling when wearing it. I love it. One of my favourite.
And don’t forget that it is an Ferre style. Amazing.

It reminds me of the Marshmallows that my kindergarten teacher use to pass out. It’s so soft, this fragrance is and conforting. The color I would attribute to this scent is not a color at all but a value, White.

I had the big 200ml bottle for years. It’s a very nice perfume. I wouldn’t even imagine it’s unisex. I like it very much. I haven’t bought it again but maybe i do and give half of the bottle to my teen nefew!
I don’t find it lemony at all, bergamot is not prominent on me at least. I would say that freezia is even more noticable and this is what makes it quite an unusual perfume (bergamot is way too common in perfumes).

    A VERY INTERRESTING PERFUME

I had a love hate relationship with this one. I bought the huge bottle that was like 6 ozs. There would be days I really loved it and others that I couldn’t stand it. I got compliments on it since it smells different then others out there but it took me years to finish it.

Alright, I have had this fragrance for a couple of months now, and despite the rough beginning we had together, I am warming up to this fragrance. As I said before it is unique, but the base is so beautiful that I keep coming back to it. The opening still has that strange fruity peachy quality to it…kind of like a peach pit, not the fruit and osmanthus. But the magnificent florals… rose and tiny bit of jasmine, start to lay down a very succulent lucious base that has this rich quality to it…almost like an olfactory sheen. In some ways this fragrance reminds me of Coriolan…a strange opening with a gorgeous base worth getting to know, and one that definitly grows on you. If you haven’t sniffed it, and are into that sort of thing, you should def get your nose on this.

A few years ago I order this blind online, unfortunately I did not like it, found too strong and sweet for summer, got sick of it. I don’t even know what I’ve done with the bottle.2/10

This is the scent of my life… it makes moments of much emotion and love. Definitively it is a typical Italian aroma: simple, discrete and chic. I agree that it is not citus fragrance. It is initiated with fresh notes and it opens a bouquet of white flowers… the peach “bitter taste” of the one has touched of softness and delicacy. Later, increse the woods and shows to all its elegance with the musk, sandal and patchouli. However I classify it as floral. I am crazy to have another one again, but not meeting in the Brazil. My favorite one in winter, fall, summer or spring time. Everyday use.

Gianfranco Ferre GIEFFEFFE lies somewhere between a unisex aromatic and a skin scent. It’s more masculine than feminine, I think, because the “typically” masculine aromatic spices–cardamom, nutmeg, and coriander–and woods are far more dominant than either the citrus or the florals. I haven’t worn this fragrance in quite some time, but I still have about 120ml of it, since I purchased (scent unsniffed) a large economy-sized jug (200ml). It was actually the only one available, and so I took the plung.
I wore GIEFFEFFE a lot one summer, but it seemed more of a clean body spray-type fragrance than a perfume. At some point, I hit the wall, put the bottle away and never took it up again until today, in my quest to uncover long-neglected citrus frags to help me survive our apparently interminable heat wave.
Anyway, one thing is clear: GIEFFEFFE is not a citrus fragrance, at least not to my nose. There may be citrus in this mix, but the small amount is drowned out by the manifold masculine elements. I do not think that this smells like aftershave–and there’s no lavender here–but it’s no more to me than a relatively pleasant and entirely wearable if uncompelling hot weather frag with good longevity and low sillage.

I received a sample bottle of this and wearing it today on a warm spring day seems to work perfectly. It is fresh and light initially, with a warm musky dry down which seems to last and last. I havent needed to freshen up yet!
I agree with the earlier review that mentioned this could be worn either winter or summer time.

This is a way different scent than most others. its definitley unisex but oddly enough I received a lot of complements while waring this. Its citrus and slightly leathery and floral, very unique.

i bought it without smelling it before:) when i used it first i was shocked, the top notes are pretty too much, and bitter, after a half hour its simply clean and wonderful, but this i experienced after trying it a few times, now i like it a lot, but i really took a time, i like bout it the base notes, and the middle notes, clean elegant-sporty (i would say not sexy, more clean and cool) fragrance, if u ask me i would say for winter AND summer, for every time

A bit oldyworldy modernism in concept! 1993
The sent is too flowery and very subtil at the basenotes, wich is very good. This scent gives u a chance to enjoy osmanthus flowers and a friendly sandewood at the basenotes.
I dont get the lime and lemon notes at all!
It works good on my skin.
