It has a very chemical strawberry smell, I didn’t like it. It smells just like what it is, a cheap perfume.

Yves Rocher has, consistently for years, produced high quality natural-based perfumes. All of the Plaisirs de Nature line list whatever the main ingredient of the perfume(here, it is strawberry *fragraria chloensis*) on the label, among the ingredients. This usually results in a very “true” smelling fruity aromatic…
When I first received this 20 ml EDT(along with a 50 ml body wash and 50 ml velvety body milk), after finding it in the “Last Chance Shop” online after it was discontinued, I was captivated by how they had managed to bottle the smell of a plump and juicy strawberry complete with greens and a hint of the pale blossoms. Like many of the “naturals” line, this did not project very far or last for a very long time; but while you could smell it…it was utterly delicious, mouthwatering even! Akin to the scent of fresh picked strawberries on a summer day.
On reaching for this, the last time I did a berry bubble bath and after using the wash and body milk, and spraying it lavishly (as I do with most weaker natural EDTs) I was assailed by a horrid accord of burnt sugar, melting plastic and sour fruit. Alas, and alack! It had obviously turned (even kept in a dark and cool area), though the lotion and wash were fine. This has happened only one other time. My *original vintage* Peche 100 ml EDT went “funky” on me, but it was on a shelf in the hall and I wrote that off to sunlight exposure. Ironically, the body spray is still fine.
I do believe with the more volatile natural raw materials and perfumes, it is better to enjoy them (like the fresh fruits in season they are inspired by) while they are fresh. YR did release a Wild Forest Strawberry but I was too late on the draw, and it (like so many other beauties) was a limited edition and is now (sadly) gone from their stores and site.
    Sillage: close to fair
    Longevity: below average
    Overall: 3.25/5
If you DO have one of these (and it has not “turned” on you), I would advise storing it in a refrigerator, just like you would berries and wear it up because it really IS a beauty IF (like my sister and I) you simply love the smell of fresh strawberries!

I really wanted it to be a bit more toned down and I thought why not give it a try, maybe after an hour or two it will smell better… I was wrong. I doesn’t. It’s a bit too much. I wanted it to be a little bit more sweet in some way. I don’t know what it is, but I expected it to be a little bit different.

I have this one some friend gave it to me long time ago but I barely use it must agree smells like artificial unlikely the coconut one and the scent turns really sickening 🙁

In my twenties I owned all the Plaisirs Nature shower gels and EdTs.
Fraise was deffo not one of my favourites but I finished the bottles anyway.
It does indeed smell a bit like burnt plastic but give it time.
I was happy how the scent developed on my skin after about an hour.
Anyway, I would not buy it again.

this is probably my least favourite from the Plaisirs Nature series… it is a sickeningly sweet plastic strawberry scent, not more or less. i got this one almost for free along with coconut and peach. while those two are actually not that bad, the strawberry is a true disappointment.

I don’t like the Plaisirs Nature series, ’cause these fragrances are usually plastic and overwhelming, but this one is the only one from this series I can wear. It has plastic notes in the base, of course, but not too nasty.

Ugh. I shouldn’t have tried it on in the first place. For a moment it smelled like a sweet strawberry drink, very concentrated and slightly artificial, and then a very bitter note rose from my skin right to my head and gave me almost immediate headache. I had to run into the shower and wash it of, which was pretty difficult to do, so I cannot say anything about lasting power — I had to run for my life to got rid of the perfume and then to my pill cabinet to get rid of the headache. Consider yourself warned!

In a way I really like YR Plaisirs Nature series, although I think some of the fragrances would be better as room sprays rather than body fragrances.
This is the case of strawberry. I believe the aroma of strawberry IS actually one of the hardest ones out there to copy without making it smell very synthetic and artificial. YR pulled that one off, but not quite.
When I was little my mum used to buy frozen strawberries in winter, defrost them, and then sprinkle heavily with sugar for desert. This is how Fraise smells like to me, there is lots of sugar in it, sugar absent in freshly picked fruit.
Fraise is not the scent of fresh, juicy strawberry from the field; for me it smells more of delicious strawberry syrup. I like it, yet I mainly use it to spray pillows before going to bed.

This perfume is obviously is not worth your attention, of course if you do not wish to be suffocated to death.
It may seem sweet and tasty, but wait, this smell will come only from the bottle iself. When it drops to your skin, the smell becomes thick, stuffy and suffocating (as I metioned already) as boa.
Give it to your enemy, not yourself and remember my warning!!!

It´s absolutely synthetic. I don´t like it. Smells like plastic strawberries from Taiwan.

I bought a bottle of this scent in early 2000s and actually regretted it. It is strawberry alright, but way too synthetic and there is something unpleasant about this particular scent from YRs fruity line. I used several fragrances, and only this one I could not finish, had to give half a bottle away.

Trying to be very objective I can only say that this stuff stinks. It has a fruity, artificial, chewing-gummy smell to it. Yeah, like a child who’s been eating candies and has smeared it all over his clothes. IMO it smells like overripe strawberries.
Nevertheless this is just my personal opinion, and I think that this could be a good gift for a girl or a very young woman.
As for this YR’s line, I think that they all have an artificial plasticky smell, and it fades within the next hour. The only exceptions to this are Coconut and Raspberry, which smell gorgeous and have a decent lasting power.

if you are hungry and somebody wears it take care not to eat that person.
it is a yummmy perfume suitable for the persons that like the fruity feeling on their skin.

This delicious strawberry scent is a must-have for those who enjoy one-note and/or fruity fragrances. Layered on after using shower gel, the scent will last a couple hours. Yves Rocher has an entire line of the Plaisirs Nature and I have a number of them. I have not been disappointed yet!

This one is a yummy strawberry scent from the line Plaisirs Nature which has a variety of fruity scents. It’s smells sweet and refreshing which makes it perfect for summer. All Plaisirs Nature fragrances are EDT’s and they tend not to last more than an hour.
