Description

Joy and the euphoria of the upcoming holidays will certainly be completed with a new collection by Bath and Body WorksFOREVER RED, which announces the eponymous fragrance as the most luxurious that this house has introduced so far. Forever Red aims at the confident woman who will accentuate her passion with a “red” composition full of tension.

Forever Red was created by Honorine Blanc who stated that she was inspired by young, contemporary woman who wanted to taste something new. The red connotation of the fragrance is inscribed in its DNA, says Honorine, while pointing out that her wish was to create an ultra feminine fragrance which is luxurious, sensual and full of love. Top quality ingredients affect a variety of aromas in this fragrance. Unusual ingredients were selected to describe the red color effect and to awaken passions.

Top notes of Forever Red announce that it’s a time of challenges, joy, passion, a rush of emotions, time for love. Playfulness and positive emotions in the opening are accentuated with a fruity blend of fiery pomegranate combined with rare French peach and apples. The heart enhances the effect of the red color with red peony, red osmanthus and night-blooming marigold, while the base will intoxicate you with notes of rum-vanilla, marshmallow and woody shades of oak.

The flacon of the new fragrance also follows the red theme of the collection. It is very attractive, red and has a ribbon around the neck. Besides Forever Red EDP 75 ml, a rollerball edition Forever Red EDT 10 ml was presented.

The assortment of the new collection also includes: Forever Red Shower Gel, Forever Red Body Lotion, Forever Red Fine Fragrance Mist, Forever Red Shimmer Mist, Forever Red Triple Moisture Body Cream, as well as Forever Red Lipsloss and Forever Red Duo Rollerball & Lip Wand. Forever Red was launched in 2012.

The initial spray is HEAVENLY…but within 5 minutes, it’s a powdery synthetic coconut. I wish that too note would last!

My husband purchased this for me after smelling it. He loved it and because it has a vanilla base, I thought I would hate it. But I put it on because he was proud to give it to me. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised at this fragrance. It agreed well with my body and smells lovely. It isn’t too heavy and is perfect for the fall and winter. I wore it during the day and at night and received compliments often. Too bad it has been discontinued.

I received this from another Fragrantica member. I really like this scent. It sort of reminds me of a cranberry orange muffin. I know it says there is a pomegranate note but it smells more cranberry to me. I could see wearing this in the Fall. Its too bad it has been discontinued as I could see buying a FB.

When I first got a whiff of this fragrance, my world stopped. The initial blast (unless you’re not a fan of vanilla) is amazing. But… there’s not too much else to say. It settles down into a decent sweet creamy scent that, while cetainly pleasant, is fleeting.
Forever Red is a twenty buck product masquerading as something more. This just goes to show that if you’re shopping around for good fragrances you can’t allow yourself to get sucked in by beautiful packing (the bottle is gorgeous) and strong openings. For what B&BW is charging for Forever Red you can get a much better perfume.
Cute but not worth the price.

Bodycology scarlet kiss mist is a deliously classy dupe of this. And cheap at Walmart 🙂

This is one of my most favorite perfumes, and I am very picky. I cannot believe what quality fragrance you get for the price. I’ve been wearing it since it came out and am devastated it’s being discontinued. I wish they would explain because all of the salespeople said it was a number one seller. I may quit shopping there now because a lot of the other scents smell “cheap” and I was truly happy with this one. Order from amazon now and it was $33. I definitely will be less liberal with how much I spray .

I bought the body spray of this at the SAS. I been wanting to get this scent for a while but it was a little pricey the privess times I been. I wish B&BW did not have to discontinue this scent.

This is another favourite of mine, because it is intoxicating! To decode this one: It is red berries, vanilla, and boozy Amber. It is pretty much perfect: the fruit note is sweet and not sour, the vanilla is like a sugar cupcake, but then it has a boozy note that I call amberesque. My mom loves it as well, I gifted her an entire bottle. One thing I adore about this line is that the perfume, the body cream, the body wash and even the body mist are extremely true to the scent! It is romantic and its aura reminds me of the image of the woman in a pretty dress, on her tiptoes being herself in her element; where her essence follows her everywhere (true to the image used on this perfume line’s graphic) and her essence is hearts and love.
This smells like a True Love Story start to finish!
    God bless!

Sweet, fruity, with a warmth to it. A cordial as opposed to a lollipop. I’ve only tried the EDP, and it’s a lovely take on the sweet + fruit formula that’s been so popular in recent years. IMO, more suited for cooler weather than summertime. It has an autumn feel to me.

Very strong vanilla and rum with berries… Enjoy…,
    I’m like cupcake…
    So Yummy…

This is nice. It is reminiscent slightly of Brittany Spears Fantasy, but it’s not the unsightly mess that that perfume is. It is certainly synthetic, but of much better quality. Unfortunately, it lasts an hour, tops. At the beginning, I was smelling something so familiar, I had to quickly recheck the notes – its peach. It’s a nice peach but it’s gone soon. This is, overall, a very fruity scent, with a hint of vanillic sweetness. Not in a cloying way like so many these days, but it’s definitely a perfume of the times that a high schooler would be happy to wear.
Definitely a like, I’m also definitely glad I only have a mini bottle of it 🙂

Forever Red was a pleasant surprise in the B&BW fragrance portfolio. A nice blend of juicy red berries and vanilla rum, almost like a sophisticated fruit punch. I’m a fan of Honorine Blanc’s perfume creations, and think she made a nice fragrance for the pricepoint.
Great for fall/winter, good sillage and lasting power, particularly when layered with the body cream. Can be worn to work with a light hand, and definitely appropriate for evening functions.
The packaging is a little cheesy and clumsy, but the juice is good. Definitely check this out if you happen to be by a B&BW.

I can’t get enough of this, sweet fruits and vanilla rum. I can almost taste this. So sweet and feminine. This never gets too sickly sweet. This is blended to perfection. So nice. One I will repurchase over and over

I love this one. Pomegranate and rum entwined. Light and lovely!

  16. :

    3 out of 5

I love its top notes: juicy green apple and pomegranate, but the drydown comes quick (unless you spray it in your hair or on clothes). It becomes syrupy and smells like burnt sugar and molasses with no pomegranate to be found. Imagine Paris Hilton’s Can Can with a small amount of green apple. However, it smells smoother and less cheap than Can Can. I can actually wear this one. It’s a sexy, warm scent and the rum is quite prominent. My boyfriend got it for me as a surprise, and it was adorable of him. I have a feeling people will like this one. But where’s the marshmallow??

  17. :

Wow, what an entrance! It smells like a daiquiri! Sweet, lush & slightly boozy fruit, mmm! As it claims to, Forever Red does indeed have a luxurious feel to it, making it a perfect statement-maker for evening wear or a night out. It reminds me a lot of Avon’s ‘Passion’.

I’ve had Forever Red fragrance mist for a long time. I bought it on sale thinking I would gift it to someone someday. Well, forgot I had it and took it out the other day and sprayed it on my wrist before going to bed. Wait, why does this smell so familiar??? Then, it dawned on me…..and I took out Katy Perry’s Meow and sprayed my other wrist. I could not tell them apart, whatsoever. Even though the notes read differently, they smell the same. And guess what? The next day, Forever Red was still on my wrist before hitting the shower. Fantastic!

(If anyone would like to try this, happy to trade decants for my want list.)
Pomegranate, vanilla, rum… oh yeah. I also get berries. This is very sweet & gourmand. Lovely!

  20. :

Delicious sweet stuff. Pomegranate, apples, peaches, vanilla and rum. This is like a boozy fruit juice. Not flowery mostly a gourmand scent although I could detect the osmanthus and peony. It’s mostly fruity with vanilla. Smells so good and I’ve received tons of compliments on it. It would wear like an eau de toilette if I didn’t reapply I find myself spritzing myself with this throughout the day because I like to smell it every time. That first spritz and the first few minutes is perfume heaven.

  21. :

    4 out of 5

This is sweet yet woody at the same time. I don’t get too much vanilla on my skin. Just the boozy, pomegranate, woodsiness. It’s almost like a fine juicy wine on an outdoor patio in the fall. Reminds me of crunching leaves, yet is still bright. This is my second full-sized bottle in 5 years, which is saying a lot. I didn’t even realize it was a go-to for a while until I got back into it and emptied it quickly. This smells really good with Rihanna’s Rebelle, by the way. It was almost a “signature” of mine while at university (but think the lack of time I had really drove me into a direction of just using the same thing everyday and to not think about it). I would spray Rihanna Rebelle on my wrists, Forever Red on my neck and chest, and dab patchouli oil behind my ears 8). It made the scent even more outdoorsy, but the sweetness was there to cut through it all to make it feminine at the same time :).

This is scrumptious. A gorgeous, sweet, cloud of loveliness. It seems heavy for warm weather, but on a chilly day with a comfy sweater or cuddling on the couch…perfect.

I’ve been collecting the BBW christmas minis for a few years since forever red came out, this was the first. Even though I left a review that I wasn’t terribly fond of 1000 wishes (it’s ok), I have to say out of all of them this is the only one I gave away. The notes look great but all I really get is not very fresh smelling pomegrante and red berries, with some kind of vague musky vanilla rum that isn’t too clear under all that fruit. There is a marshmallowy musk that I like, but the fake fruit just ruins it for me.
I think forever red was a good start to bath & bodyworks paving the way to some better scents, but this was a bit of a bumpy start.
    Vanilla rum is way better.
Disclaimer: I’m very picky about fruit scents.

  24. :

A beautiful, deep, romantic and woodsy fragrance. It’s one of the more robust, warm, and passionate scents that Bath & Body Works have come up with. As someone else mentioned, this does make a nice holiday scent: cozy, rich, and sensual. In fact, i only tend to eyeball it mainly during the holidays.
And now for the bad part. Unfortunately, it becomes drastically weaker after the dry-down, becoming a paler shade of its initial glory. That alone wouldn’t make me cough up money to buy another bottle. Luckily mine was given to me as a gift.

  25. :

    5 out of 5

I remember when the “forever red” collection first came out. Everyone wanted to get their hands on this BEAUTIFUL perfume, body lotion, body mist, and even lip color. I was pretty tempted to buy it(since my favorite color is red and i heard such great reviews), but i never did.
And i really regret not trying it out sooner. It was vanilla-y and fruity(pomegranate) , but it had this lovely woody aspect to it…. it’s sophisticated, and womanly. It didn’t give me a headache like Cashmere Glow did.
I’m kinda tempted to check out the Vanilla Rum version of this too.. it sounds delicious as well

My hat’s off to Honorine Blanc who did an amazing job of constructing a pleasing scent on a Wal-Mart budget.

i watched a review of “forever red” on Youtube and the woman describing this scent made it sound like this is the best frgrance ever, she said she thought forever red smelled “Like Jesus” and i saw a few other good reviews so i was excited to try “forever red”
I think Forever red is decedant and rich. It smells like strawberry short cake. It smells like rich vanilla marshmallow cake drizzled in strawberry glaze…iit even smells like a creamy strawberry milkshake….im getting hungry~ lol
it smells festive and fun, yet rich and expensive.
    I give Forever Red a 10 out of 10

At first sniff, I thought to myself, “This is it. This is my new signature.” However, 45 minutes later, I sang a different tune. While I do love the initial smell of this, the dry down is too weak for me. I don’t notice the scent on me after 1.5 hours time, either. The pomegranate and the rum come through beautifully, and I smell more vanilla towards the end. While it is a delicious scent, it just isn’t the best for me. I’m still going to continue to wear it around the house because while the smell lasts, it is pretty yummy!

Picture juicy, boozy pomegranates and crimson red apples stewing together in a pot, add some cardamom (?)..and cinnamon, and you have Forever Red. For -new wave- B&BW this is surprisingly nice. The small 7mL spritzer will do for me.

This is my review for the fragrance mist.
My initial reaction to Forever Red was Holy Marshmallow, Batman! I didn’t like it at all and almost scrubbed it off.
After a few minutes though the fruit notes come out and it becomes very juicy, like peachy pomegranate apples with marshmallow cream.
Definitely better in cooler weather, I wouldn’t recommend it for warm days outside.

  32. :

    3 out of 5

Definitely get the apple-pomegranate vibe. A fun, fruity fragrance. Can’t wear it every day. The fruit stays bright, even when the scent has settled some. Since I like vanilla, wondering if I would like the FR Vanilla Rum even more.

  33. :

    4 out of 5

One of my favorites! One of my triplet sisters got me hooked on it. When I wear this, I smell the wine, pomegranate, and creamy rum/slight marshmallow. It does get a little bit powdery at the end. But I don’t mind that. A little bit goes a long way. My experience with Forever Red differed from some of the other reviewers on here. The deep wine and marshmallow and rum make this less of a sickly sweet smell on me, and more of a beautiful and distinctive mouthwatering fragrance. I would describe this scent was very enticing, distinctive, and attention getting, but somehow it’s also very mellow and calming at the same time (I think that’s mostly the red wine). when I wore this to work, my co-workers, and a mom at the YMCA, told me I smelled so yummy, and asked me what I was wearing. 🙂 But it never hurts to test first. I suppose perfume can smell so different from person to person. But based on my experience, I would recommend this to anyone! ADDICTING.

  34. :

I like this one quite a bit. It smells to me, similar to D&G pour femme. Just a bit sweeter/fruitier and a bit less marshmallow-y. I get a very fruit-sweet cloud of vanilla. It has a decent silage-soft but more than a skin scent and longevity is moderate on me-about 5-6 hours. I layered the body crème mist and EDP and it lasted most of the day on me. Either way I’ll take it. The scent is rather comforting to me-not exactly what I would describe as sexy. Worth the 25$ I spent on it.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

This smells nice but it has very poor lasting power and too much of the marshmallow scent and not enough of the rich pomegranate for me. A much cheaper and much more long lasting dupe of this is Scarlet Kiss from bodycology which I LOVE!!!
I find that the Scarlet Kiss bodycology mist is strong and long lasting and has a more full pomegranate than the body cream which has more of a “play-doh” dry down to it which I’m assuming is more of the vanilla coming through. I would highly recommend the body spray though.

This fragrance smells like sweet candy. It has a fresh and young scent, and it’s really fun to wear. A little disappointing that it doesn’t last long.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

I feel delicious and sexy at the same time when I wear this. Not overtly sexy, girl next door sexy. It’s safe and sexy at the same time. It’s finding its way into my rotation more and more often.

  39. :

    5 out of 5

Smelled this on a girl at work and told her I was a perfume freak and had to know what it was. It smells to me like a beautiful raspberry jam or something. Very nice didn’t expect it to be a bath n body works scent or as cheap as it happens to be. Also the projection was very good on that lady but for some reason in my work any fragrance worn really carries. More so than anywhere else I wear them..

  40. :

    3 out of 5

Whenever I wear Forever Red, I am stopped and asked about my fragrance. This has become my signature scent.

  41. :

    3 out of 5

Unfortunately, I do not smell the pomegranate or the vanilla in this. All I get is a cheap boozy smell. Perhaps it just doesn’t agree with my body chemistry. I wish I could get out of it what others do, as I know so many people who love this. It has this strange note in it which makes it smell very odd on my skin. If you like all of the sweet or gourmand scents from BBW, you may want to stay away from this one.

  42. :

I am a huge fan of these types of scents. They are very modern yet classic. I recently found this by accident while in Bath and Body Works and fell in love immediately. I bought a small bottle to try and when I am done I will be buying a huge bottle.
This is a heavier fragrance and not something for summer/spring. Of course you can wear it anytime but I find the deep notes in these types of scents come out better in cold weather. The top notes are pomegranate (which I smell immediately), peach & apples. The middle is red peony, red osmanthus (which comes out on me more than any one scent) & night blooming marigold. The base of this fragrance is so nice and warm with rum-vanilla, marshmallows, and oak. It’s truly intoxicating.
My favorite scents are Frederick’s of Hollywood Signature, Flowerbomb, Cashmere Mist, Gold Sugar, and Twilight Woods. I hope this helps.

I like it but my husband isn’t so fond of it.

I remember buying a small perfume of this version during the summer! I never knew it was for a winter scent when I started to wear for the summer. I realize that now and I love the fruity/wood scent! It’s such a great buy! I highly recommend! Look in ebay or Amazon since this was a seasonal item!! 🙂

i realize that this version of forever red is definately more user friendly all year round..which is nice but i love this and vanilla rum both alot! but i can’t wear vanilla rum right now its too overwhelming

Forever Red will forever remind me of my senior prom. The smell is sweet yet sophisticated, and is perfect for a night-out or a special occasion. It is not my favorite by any means, but it is one that I will probably keep a small bottle of around for special nights out on the town.

  47. :

A few days ago I bumped into some friends and oh my gosh, someone smelled wonderful. They were wearing this!! I know that B&BW doesn’t last long but it might be nice to have the lotion to wear at home.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

This is a semi helpful review, because it’s only partially about the actual bath and body works product, hear me out. 🙂
First off, I LOVE this, much more than I thought I would. Basically what I can make out on myself is the pomegranate, marshmallow and vanilla, with a very slight tinge of rumminess. It’s just delicious, I absolutely cannot stop smelling myself, on me at least it’s just so so good. I find myself reaching for this before anything else I own. However..lasting power and strength is really bad. Like, just seriously bad, worse than most bath and body works sprays/lotions (and I have found that many don’t last long on me)And for the price that is basically unacceptable.
So I basically cheated, I bought a fragrance oil duplicate and created my own lotion and spray of forever red using a stronger amount of oil, and it’s perfect. I have compared mine to the ones directly from the bbw store and can detect no difference aside from strength. If I hadn’t done that, I can’t see myself owning and wearing this regularly, it just faded too quickly. But for people that don’t have the same sillage I do, I would advise to have this in the collection at least.

  49. :

    5 out of 5

As with most products from Bath & Body Works, which is owned by the same parent company as Victoria’s Secret, the BODY LOTIONS’ fragrances last soooo much longer than the sprays/perfumes. I put on my Forever Red BODY CREME this morning (7:30) on my arms, neck, and chest and sitting her at almost 5:00 p.m., I can STILL smell its sultry sweet warmth every time I move!! I can’t stock enough on VS or B&BW lotions! They do double duty and are such a great buy when they have their incredible sales! For the most part, these multi-faceted fragranced lotions have sworn me off of my high end perfume products completely!

  50. :

Smells good BUT does not last on my skin.
    Will not repurchase.

  51. :

    5 out of 5

On first spritz I get very juicy pomegranate, peach and apple…and I know it’s marketing but I swear this one SMELLS red. 🙂 It remains a very sweet fruity fragrance, even as it moves into the slight floral heart of the scent. I mostly get osmanthus mixed with the fruity top notes, and the dry down of rum-vanilla and oak are STILL tempered by the fruit, even 9 hours after I sprayed it on.
This is a gorgeous fragrance and a keeper for me, although I have the smallest size they offered and can’t see needing to buy a larger bottle, although I WOULD spend the money on shower gel and lotion to layer the fragrance for greater longevity. I’d say sillage is low/medium and moderate longevity (although I know others that say this one DOES NOT last on them at all)
I WOULD replace this if I ran out, and would recommend it to others that like fruity-woody scents. I find it delicious. 🙂

  52. :

    3 out of 5

Forever Red is a good recommendation for sweet, girly types that can’t back away from the fruity florals though they desire something sultrier or woodier. This is still a fruity floral but the rum and oak give it a slight warmth that isn’t overpowering the way sandalwood or musk can be in traditional spicy perfumes. And though FR is a fruity floral, it seems almost equal parts gourmand and creamy.
A lot of reviewers have been calling FR “Christmasy.” Though FR can easily work the festive angle, I don’t think the scent can be boxed in. FR definitely is a perfume that is suited to dressing up or at least being put together, however.
Bath and Body Works is awesome simply for the great, whimsical ingredients put into their perfumes. A drydown of marshmallow, vanilla, oak and rum? Sweet, girly, rich AND enigmatic. Like Hot Couture and Viva La Juicy had a love child.
Sillage is okay and longevity is moderate.

All I smell is vanilla. It reminds me of Wonderstruck Enchanted by Taylor Swift. It smells creamy and deep. It’s sweet and vanilla. Not really my type, though. It doesn’t work on me. It gives me temporary dizziness because it’s really heavy. I like it but my body doesn’t respond very well

Have only tried the body spray. Very synthetic version of all the fruity scents out now. Nothing special and much too similar to the Bvlgari Omnia Coral I have and love.
EDIT: Body spray is actually red in color!!! Don’t spray it on a white shirt like I did.

Absolutely LOVE this scent! I can’t stop smelling my arms, I’m typically only a fan of extremely sexy sultry scents that drives the boys wild, and I gotta tell ya this is one of them! If you like Vampire by body fantasies you will love this perfume, amd in my opinion they smell quite similar, however, forever red is deffintatly a more “sophisticated” and developed scent. This is a perfume that reaches its full potential during the holidays and in cold wintery weather, but I wouldn’t be one to reject the idea of wearing it durning the summer. This scent is more appropriate for winter and something you would expect to smell on someone during a colder season. But as I said this perfume is still a doable scent for spring and summer time because what some people would consider to be “over powering” is a chance for you this perfume to become your sing nature scent. In other words, this is not a perfume you would expect to smell on someone during summer and the notes are deep and memorable hence sniff sniff OH that’s Melany I can smell that perfume she always wears. Deffintatly gunna buy this

Smells reminiscent of wonderstruct but not a dupe for it. Would work great for a casual date. Does not last long. Tart Pomegranate is the dominant smell, with a rum undertone at the beginning. Dries down to a soft apple floral scent.

Forever Red Vanilla Rum, I believe, is my favorite perfume. I really like the original Forever Red, but I like the more warm, Holiday, woody, soft, inviting, and cozy of the Forever Red Vanilla Rum. Plus the Vanilla Rum version of the Forever Red is a bit more fragrant and it lasts longer. I wish the Forever Red Vanilla Rum lasted longer and was more fragrant than it is though. I still really like the Forever Red original, but I prefer Forever Red Vanilla Rum. I hope that Bath and Body Works never takes it away.

I love the smell of Forever Red. It’s sexy and beautiful, something I would wear forever. But 1 thing that I feel really bad about it, it doesn’t LAST LONG AT ALL. I bought the perfume and spayed it on my body, last half an hour then Done done. I decided to test on my sister, she can’t smell anything, I tried to sniff her but I can’t smell it either lol Even I like this better than Vanilla Rum but I realized Vanilla Rum lasted much longer then the orginal Forever Red. More then 24 hours for me. I hope they put something into Forever Red to make it last long like Vanilla Rum *sigh*, I did really like Forever Red itself, just the longevity. SUCK!!

The only scent they make that I’m willing to wear. Well this and the Vanilla Rum version.
It’s casual wear and a very well rounded scent.

I am really drawn to this scent and i really do love it and i’m craving it so i had to go back to try forever red’s vanilla rum to decide which i loved more and hands down i love this version more…why you ask? because this starts off juicy with the pomegranate but then you smell the wonderful rum but what i didnt notice last time that i do notice now is that this transforms into the beautiful vanilla rum base notes they are now selling as the top notes in their newest edition FR Vanilla Rum.I like that this evolves to that than just staying linear and its like you get the best of both perfumes in this fragrance but if your not too keen about the frutiness of the original then the newest one will fill your fancy because that one is all about the vanilla with the rum following behind it.Really considering getting this it smells great and the lotion in this is even better!

I haven’t smelled this – this reviews only the release notes – I am sure it smells just fine. The official B&BW notes are a riot. Not a single note lacks a pretentious adjective:
Top Notes: Fiery Pomegranate, Rare French Peach, Luminous Apple
Mid Notes: Red Peony, Night Marigold, Red Osmanthus
Dry Notes: Rich Vanilla Rum, Velvety Marshmallow, Oak Wood Aloe
And peach gets two adjectives, both pretentious. What in the world is a rare French peach? Perhaps it is much like a common British peach or an everyday German peach.
Now here’s a marketing idea. How about listing the “Quotidian Andorra Peach”. That would get people scrambling for their smart phones to actually edify themselves (gasp). Crowds would gather ’round whispering quietly to each other about what Andorra is and whether it actually grows peaches. It would be a marketing triumph!!

I have the body lotion. For some reason Asian guys are crazy about this smell, they can’t stop sniffing it and tell me how good I smell all the time. However, it causes no reaction to the guys of other races. Strange.
    P.S. I’m a Caucasian girl.

Forever Red smells just like Avon’s mark “Shine” on me, which is good news because even tho I loved “Shine” it had zilch sillage or lasting power. So what does this mean? It means that, on my skin, the creamy marshmellow note is dominate, sprinkled with rum and vanilla, and, oh, here come the flowers, wafting through the mix in a somewhat vague sort of way. The fruit is subtle or non-existent.
I have the body butter and fragrance mist and the scent holds close to the skin and lasts several hours. Creamy, comforting, warm, fall/winter fragrance and a wonderful departure from the sweet, sweet, sweet floral fruity cocktail messes we’re served up en masse these days.

Forever Red’s first spray is warm, inviting and boozy marshmallow. Unfortunately, the rest goes downhill from there. Forever Red seems promising. The SA’s told me wonderful stories of how this EdT is made, and it sounds wonderful, but has a plastic, shallow tinge to it on me.
Something is missing to make this fragrance a full-bodied, creamy scent ready to deliver on its promises. It’s as if it’s almost there-like a soup in a crockpot that’s been brewing and isn’t quite ready yet. The buzzer hasn’t gone off, it’s ready to sample and the chef says, “No, not yet.”
Peach in the top notes is prominent, peony delivers a rose quality in the middle, and the rum brings along the vanilla and marshmallow to round Forever Red to a fragrance for Bath and Body Works that’s different for their usual fragrances but not quite up to par for what they’re trying to deliver.
The booziness lasts a few hours but dissipates quickly to a close skin scent. Good to wear at the office, at home relaxing or out to dinner.

This one is sweet and sexy. Mostly sweet. It’s a nice-to-have in my collection. I got the mini EDP for $5 while they were on sale at BBW. My husband seemed to like this one. I find it nice and pleasant and a little sultry. It’s probably something I’d wear more in the evenings. The 0.25oz is the perfect size for this. I’m not sure if I’d want to own the bigger bottle.

This is very pretty! the red fruits and vanilla are harmonious with one another. The sillage is close and longevity average to weak. The lotion is wonderful though, brightly scented and nourishing as is the shower gel. All in all a nice addition and very wearable but should be priced at a much (lower) better point, it is B&B W after all.

I liked Forever Red a lot more than I expected to. I was a fan of the now-discontinued Midnight Pomegranate, except the harsh tobacco note, and I find this a somewhat better alternative. Forever Red in many ways lives up to how B&BW have advertised it, in that they’ve taken care to make it classier and more unique than a lot of their recent generic releases. It lasts longer than most of their collection, but is still recognizable to many with that fruit and vanilla core. It is a warm, sexy, rum-dominated scent, sweet but not in a candy-like or girlish way. It walks the line between bright and youthful versus mature and sexy, and body chemistry will probably decide which for many people. The nice thing about it is that it can be whichever you want. It carries the warm, boozy note of rum throu
