I was going through the boxes in search of another scent and accidently ran into this one. It is made for spring, so i thought why not to try it on a warm and sunny spring day…. To be honest – i hate it by far! I have a brand new boxed bottle of it and never been used, so i believe the scent is still OK. But let me tell you it smell awfully synthetic!!! Just like an ordinary bathroom freshener and i can´t stand that initial chemical openingthat lasts and lasts and lasts. I was hoping it will go away, or green notes would be more louder, but no! The opening is very sythetic white flowers and green notes, it is sickenly fresh yet green and has that awful synthetic undertone, that ruins it for me totally. I do believe the floral notes are the most pronounced here, and there is a hint of citrus on the middle notes as well, but in general this is not the good one for my nose. Hate to say that, but smells cheap and synthetic. I love the majority of the rest of the series though!!
Sillage is moderate and lasts for up to 3 hours on my skin (1 spray). I yet have to retest it, since it might be the bad impression of the first spray, but i doubt it…

For some reason it reminds me of a late saturday afternoon in spring, finished working in the garden and having a moment before going in and take a shower. Only thing is, it isn’t a flower garden I’ve been working in but a vegetable garden.
It’s an intereseting scent but I wouln’t wear it again because I can’t think of any occasion it would fit.

I did not wear it but I remember an employee of the local library who did and she smelled sooooo good. It’s a lasting memory. Like tschiepchen I hope that they’ll relaunch it one day to test it on my skin, because “Comme une evidence” is unfortunately too weak on it.

Caprices de Printemps is a very rich, lively, green, flowery, fresh but warm, feminine, and modern scent and I would recommend it to anyone who loves YR’s Nature!
This is supposed to be the spring fragrance of the first Folies de Saisons line, I remember it smells mainly like lily of the valley.
The fragrance is quite unique but just to give you an impression of what it smelled like, I would say it is a bit similar to YR’s Pivoine (floral) and to YR’s Nature (clean and green).
It is the missing link between those two!
It was not as strong as Pivoine (some may say “Thank god!”) but it would pass as a more modern (a lot more), way lighter and less complex make-over of Pivoine where all the colourful flowers were left out and just the early spring flowers were kept.
The scent manages to be quite feminine, clean (as I said, it shares similarities with Nature), definitely fresh and lively and is the ideal spring frag.
If you liked the smell of the early spring flowers when you were a kid, then you would have loved this fragrance, too!
It is a shame it was discontinued about ten years ago – I would have bought a bottle every year and if they relaunched it, then I would sign up for 10 bottles in no time.
I recently bought a mini and I am sooo happy to have it.
I actually don’t use it, I just sniff it. 🙂
