Description

The prestigious Italian fashion house of Gucci launches a new collection of fragrances under the creative director of Frida Giannini. It comes out in May 2012 named Flora by Gucci Garden Collection. The collection includes five most important blossoms outlined on the legendary Gucci scarf designed by Vittorio Accornero for Princess Grace of Monaco. These five new editions are: Glorious Mandarin, Gracious Tuberose, Gorgeous Gardenia, Glamorous Magnolia and Generous Violet.

“It’s a sort of bouquet of scents,” said Giannini for wwd, “So Gorgeous Gardenia because I wanted to underline the gorgeously feminine side of this fragrance. Glorious Mandarin because there’s a sort of euphoria in mandarin, since it’s such a sparkly fruit.”

In the process of making these fragrances, it was very important to distinguish them from one another. The idea is that each fragrance should reflect a facet of the same woman. The fragrances come in elongated hexagonal shaped bottles with transparent rather than gold stoppers.

The face of the advertising campaign is Abbey Lee Kershaw, shot by Solve Sundsbø. The fragrances are available as 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette, except mandarin and violet one that will be available exclusively at Gucci flag stores as 100 ml Eau de Toilette.

Nice light gardenia with pear. Maybe I would choose this one from the line.

    My favorite summer scent!
It is perfect for the day and best for the beach. On my skin it changes when I go into the water and smells even better.

Insanely delicious, the first couple of months generally went crazy. For me, the scent is dominated by a pear, I do not say that I like it very much, but in this fragrance it’s just a bomb. In the winter they are not very, in my opinion, but in the rest of the year are stunned.

Oh well, I start thinking the different batches smell different, because I can’t smell Viva La Juicy either. Just few weeks ago I have tested it and I was a bit shocked. It gave me everything that isn’t listed in the notes, I could swear I am wearing Angel flanker, Mon Guerlain or even La Petite Robe Noir. On my skin only berries and patchouli, even in the horizon I can’t see any flowers, I wish to find flower in the garden smelling like this 🙂 Also I wish Viva La Juicy to smell so luxurious. In my mind they are not alike even in slightest.
Thanks Kendelem1999 for review, you are so right.

When skimming the reviews of this, 3 out of 5 reviewers say something along the lines of “exactly like Juicy Couture” EXCEPT a or EXCEPT B or even EXCEPT A & b. Well then it IS NOT exactly like Juicy. I find that irritating and it takes a lot to irritate me. Is it in the same sweet, youthful category? Of course! Are they both, for the most part safe and in offensive and easy to wear? Absolutely! But don’t let the word “exactly” being throw around make you write this off for testing. To me and on me it smells nothing like any of the juicy offerings other than what I have already stated earlier. I love this! Got a sample from Sephora and it stood out in a good way among the other samples I got and am currently waiting for my full bottle to arrive so I can spray away! Bottom line just because scents share similarities with one another does not make them “exactly” the same 🙂

This was a great find as I could have easily missed it with all the other Gucci Flora’s as I felt to be honest a bit tired of the line as they all seemed the same and a bit too safe to grab my interest. I have had Gucci Flora in the past (the original one) but found that while it is lovely and nice it just was a bit generic (in a good way!). So a sales lady showed me Gorgeous Gardinia and it struck me as having that lovely Flora vibe but added that missing element that made it more interesting to me. Something to note is that it is not too strong on the gardenia so don’t let that put you off. It is really nice, the pear, frangipani and berry accords really make this something special. It is definitely my favorite of the line. Recommended.

I like this more than the the Gucci Flora. A little sweeter and lighter. I just wish it lasted longer on myself. Packaging is cute and price is reasonable. Perfect for daytime wear or on a date.

I’d like to chime in that I do NOT smell gardenia, either. I can detect pears and another lighter flower (maybe sweet jasmine) and I get some berries, and it kind of has a gummy bear quality to it. Other than that, it is lovely, but there are other more accurate gardenias if you’re a fan of the flower.

    DON’T BLIND BUY THIS !

@Gemini12 is right… Gorgeous Gardenia is a gorgeous sweet fragrance, but not a gardenia fragrance.
I can sense the pear & red berries combination and the sweet dry-down of franginapi & patchouli in this fragrance, but I can’t sense any gardenia.
    Longevity: – 4/10
    Sillage: – 3/10
All in all: 1 out of 10 points -> because there is no gardenia.

Nice frag with the pear screaming in your face but the patch grounds it some. Similar to tender romance by RL. I think I like this one better though. The pear gets outa hand in both.

This is an amazing perfume! I thought I would leave a review, as most of them here have been a bit average and meh. I have been looking for an almondy/frangipani pear scent with woody or leathery undertones for a while now and I may have found it.
This is a sparkling fresh deliciously flowery scent in the summer and a sultry, lingering, even leathery (if not listed) frangipani wonder in the colder months. In the summer, spray it in your hair after a shower and let it waft around you with every move. In the winter, try spraying it onto the lapel or sleeve of your leather jacket or ladies handbag. It will hit you with feelgood vibes throughout the day and make you feel like a star!
Every single person that gets a sniff of this asks me what that wondrous fragrance is, even from some distance away, so the projection must be great. I never even get this when wearing Dior… Everyone compares it to Juicy Couture, but I think this one does more than shrill and fruity and it has a serious, deep side too.
So, it is worth saving up to get this beauty if you are into lush woody florals, you won’t regret it. The box, especially the first colourful edition is gloriously drawn, I have nothing like it on my perfume shelf. Even as a blind buy it is worth it, quite a crowdpleaser. Yet, it is not childish or simplistic, it has plenty of layers to keep you happy throughout the day.

First when I smelled Gucci gorgeous gardenia while I through the mall I thought this is the same scent as Viva la juicy that I have and I didn’t buy it because I have no reason to afford for the same scent. But one day I got a sample, sprayed it on my skin and found that they are different.
I think Viva la juicy is more bright and sweet but Gucci gorgeous is more flora, relaxed and have a hints of elegant.
Finally I bought Gucci gorgeous and fell in love with. I always wear it when I want to feel comforted.
    Happy scent for me. ❤

I just bought this for my mom, and this is a day nice fruity scent for young girl or any age. perfect for the summer or spring.
this smell really natural, perfect for casual day time. the only problem is that is too light.

Gucci Flora Gorgeous Gardenia is not the best white floral I’ve ever smelt, but it is very pleasant on the skin. It’s missing that creamy aspect that most gardenia scents have. I find it to be a mostly clean and fruity interpretation.
This fragrance is essentially a floral scent for those women that have an aversion to white florals. Gorgeous Gardenia is a young fragrance with a sweet fruitiness which is sure to appeal to the young female consumers.
It’s interesting to note that Gorgeous Gardenia was the only Flora Garden flanker to be discontinued and re-released in different packaging. Perhaps this decision from Gucci was due to the fact that this was one of their best sellers. I can almost understand the appeal, however I find Gucci Premiere a much nicer white floral scent if I had to pick a floral fragrance from this house.
Sadly I find Gorgeous Gardenia a little bland when compared to the many other floral fragrances that currently line the department store shelves. The original Flora by Gucci is still my personal choice, followed by the very pretty Gucci Premiere.

No gardenia in sight, at least not to me. Just pear and a bit of patchouli. As others have noted it really does ring of Juicy Couture. Smells hideously cloying from start to finish on me but actually is quite nice on my lower-20’s friend. Maybe because it really is her type. I can’t do pear and I should have known better than to even try.

  18. :

    5 out of 5

Silly me, I thought a perfume called “Gorgeous Gardenia” would smell like gardenias…or at least gardenia would have a prominent presence, which it doesn’t. Don’t get me wrong, I do smell a bit of gardenia but it only lasts about a half an hour and after that it’s all sweet fruitiness that bears more than a passing resemblance to several Juicy Couture perfumes. It’s a nice enough perfume, but if you’re looking for gardenia, look elsewhere.

  19. :

    4 out of 5

Fresh, smooth and mildly sweet and fruity but the pear is quite chemical and obvious on me. I prefer it when it has dried down considerably and then I love it but I wish it smelled like the dry down from start to finish or the pear could be toned down somehow.

  20. :

I thought this would have been classified as a floral-fruity-gourmand with more sweet notes listed! Wow, this is delicious. I’m detecting marshmallow similar to the one in “Ari” by Ariana Grande (sweet but not a toothache). I’m reviewing the EDT, it’s very light, bright and sweet with mild-to-moderate sillage and longevity. I think this would be a safe choice for someone who would like to get into gardenia scents but doesn’t want anything headache-inducing or offensive. Honestly I wouldn’t have even guessed that “Gardenia” would be in the name of the fragrance. I’m personally all for a loud white floral but I’d wear this any day! Sweet and delectable, would be good for spring, summer, day or night, any age.

The Garden Collection by Gucci features five different garden scents and Gorgeous Gardenia is the only one I currently own. With notes of berries, white gardenia, and a touch of brown sugar this perfume is sparkly and sultry. Though an EDT, this perfume has great lasting power on me. Perfect for spring and summer. This fragrance is attractive and charming. Very very flirty and playful, it is perfect for date night where you don’t want something strong, but also a fragrance he will compliment. For cocktails with the girls, or when you need that extra boost of sensuality. I definitely recommend! :). x

Expensive “soap” similarly as other ones in this series. When I first sniffed bottle I imagined pretty feminine woman in nice dress and in her 20s. I tried it and first 15 minutes it was soapy candy with sunny floral in background. In next minutes it became more and more soap with synthetic touch. At this moment because so synthetic it started to slightly remind grandma perfumes. It lasted maybe 30 minutes, after that I need to put my nose close to my skin. After a hour there was almost nothing left. Can’t feel there any specific flowers, all soap are somewhat same for me.
This is a good one if you are in to young, romantic, light, sweet, medium warm, soap perfumes. Would be nice for summer and if not used too much then wont bother much anyone around. I don’t see this perfume as compliment gatherer. I like and dislike this perfume. I like where this perfume is going I just wish for less soap in it, more realistic floral and that it lasted longer.

One of my favourites. Smell like a lovely day in the garden, makes me smile and happy all the time. My happy fragrance.

  24. :

When it comes to flowers based on smell alone, gardenia has always been one of my favourite flower scents. And when i heard gucci was bringing out a fragrance called ‘georgeous gardenia’ i was jumping up and down. I was initially put off by the edt bottle, thinking an edt on me wasn’t worth purchasing. But my lovely husband insisted on getting it for me, edt or not, knowing how much i wanted the edp, and… It is beautiful. Simply georgeous gardenia. Sillage isn’t as good as an edp form but a few extra sprays solves that problem for now… It is soft, light and beautiful. Reminds me of deliberately going out of my way to smell gardenia flowers as a child. The scent, as does the flower, gives me a happy high whilst wearing it! My mother would tell me they weren’t white roses when I was young, and I’d go out collecting more thinking, she doesn’t know anything, they smell the best so they have to be! Gardenias for life! <3

It is funny how we made some associations based on the colour of the juice. For me, rose represents something sweet or floral or girlish, so I tried Flora by Gucci with green and blue juice, skipping this one. Anyway I gave it a try and acctually I like it a lot. Not too sweet nor floral and fruity. Just about everything and quite classy. It doesn not have a wow effect, but for me is a keeper.
For me the winner among the Flora line (because it is more fruity than floral and sweet just about).

  26. :

    5 out of 5

It opens up with a syrupy sweet (note: specifically cough syrup), almost smoky floral. The dry down is a bright and clear frangipani (the cough syrup is still there). If you put it on your arm, every movement you’ll feel like Abbey Lee in the advertisement directed by Chris Cunningham (one of my favorite directors) for the original Flora. It’s intense.

It is very easy to get confused with all the gardenias as it is 6 of them , often they sell samples gift boxes as a 4 of them only . I bought my first one which i think was the pink liquid and i loved it and it smelled form me like a watermelon but now i discovered it is a red berry. I think u need to have all of them to smell the difference .

Oh Liz, you’re a sucker for nostalgia *face palm* !
This , like a few other in my collection, is a fragrance I wore in Europe. I can’t really say much about the scent itself (it’s lovely, sweet and intriguing) but the emotion that is triggered upon smelling this is worth its price !
Finally found some of this in Australia !! Buying a bottle, for feelings sake <3

Someone once described this as ‘beautiful sexy cake,’ and I think that description is accurate. It smells like dessert to me. Usually I hate smelling like dessert, but this is really gorgeous.

I got this for sample last year.. But last week I decide to buy it. Its funny how the smell reminds me of cupcakes and fresh pancakes with butter. Indulging them in a garden full of flowers. It might sound silly but its quite pleasing to smell it.

First of I’m a guy. I have a female friend in which this is her signature scent, after taking a wiff at it, it became more than clear as to why. as a man, I love a woman who smells soft, sweet and flowery, that’s huge turn on. some women go over the line with the candy smelling fragrances (smelling like a jolly rancher’s ass)…

  32. :

Nothing like actual gardenia in any way…
But a really lovely fragrance overall. A sweet, inoffensive, melony floral with a good amount of sillage.

Pro’s :1. It’s a crowd-pleaser. It smells good, really really good, nothing chemical or cheap-smelling about it. If you ask 10 people, 9 of them will surely like it very much. I did this experiment 2. It’s indeed a nice, feminine, delicate composition. More fruity, than floral, despite its name- you can’t go wrong with this scent in almost any situation. Cons: 1. Those accustumed to more complex, niche compositions may find it somewhat boring and generic. 2. It lasts a couple of hours on your skin, which is a shame for its price. Sillage is also moderate to low. All in all, Gorgeous Gardenia is a very pretty scent but rather weak & pale compared to …ummm…more sophisticated fragrances on the market. I enjoy wearing my 30 ml of this baby but I won’t repurchase it

  35. :

    4 out of 5

Okay, this is a tough one. I do love this one. I do. The Gardenia is true to scent. A very well done composition of it on Gucci’s behalf. The berries, pear and frangipani all work miracles in this but it’s just so.. in the background if you know what I mean.
For what I paid for a bottle, I would expect a little more than 2 hours of longevity and silliage but alas, this and my skin aren’t meant to be. I mainly get red berries, gardenia and brown sugar.
Overall, it’s a gorgeous gardenia based scent. Safe for blind buy and safe for all ages. It’s sweety sweet but also very mature. Only downside is the disappointing lasting.

    like self-torure
i bought the tuberose and i thought that was too sweet
then this one was on sale
    i bought it again
    couldn’t resist the price
    a disappoitment again
    too sweet and poor lasting
have to sell it in lower price

Smells like viva la juicy to me.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

The gardenia in this is beautiful! On my skin this fragrance stays sweet the whole time, but doesn’t get sticky or cloying. The aroma stays mostly the same from beginning to drydown and doesn’t cahnge much.
I do however feel that this is not quite a perfume for young girls – it is more for a grown up woman and a true lady in her prime.
Sillage is good and longevity also, but you have to be careful not to overspray.

  39. :

    3 out of 5

Such a lovely smell, created with gardenia and pear notes. It’s so gentle, dreamy, feminine – gorgeous. Too bad the sillage is so soft and it doesn’t last too long.

  40. :

    5 out of 5

Flora Gorgeous Gardenia on me lasts long (7 hours plus) with moderate sillage for 3 hours, an uplifting gardenia/frangipani/red berries combo, sweet but not annoyingly sweet, refreshing, dreamy, makes me think of dew on gardenias, jasmines bushes in a garden with fruit trees nearby. Lovely, can be used in summer and in cool temps also,

  41. :

    4 out of 5

Ugh. I didn’t know this had pear.
I swore to the moon and back that I didn’t like Pear in fragrances, but this is my faaaavvvvvvorite perfume ever. EVER.
The longevity and sillage is soft, not the best. 2 hours max. But this smell makes my eyes sparkle. When I look into my eyes in the mirror having just put this on, my eyes seem to be the windows to my soul! (corny but true!) It’s like this smell defines everything I want emphasized about myself.
Just a cheerful, beautiful smell. Elegant, bright, like the hope in cold winter, the light summer breeze. It’s everything to me lol.
It is a heavenly white floral with that inital blast of berries.
I also compared this to Viva La Juicy. I still like this better.
And nah, I wouldn’t say this is the truest representation of a gardenia. It’s embellished with all the other goodness. The way it makes me feel is unexplainable to an extent. But gosh. I just love this. Loooove.

I have a gardenia plant flowering at home right now and I have to say gardenia smells differently, this is rather the smell of a flower bouquet. Very similar to Lagerfeld for her.

It’s truly a great perfume! So few notes, and yet SO powerful! The blend is perfect – everything works together to make it a masterpiece!!! GORGEOUS!!! I would love to DROWN in it! I can’t get enough of it, it’s so tantalising! So delicious!

Gardenia? I can’t detect any real gardenia in this. Very sweet scent.

  51. :

    5 out of 5

This is a such a beautiful sent! It’s floral, fruity sweet but fresh. It opens up with sharp flower. The sharpness smell might come from a laundry sent, like freshly washed cotton but it’s probably the red berries. This is what makes it special and not a normal fruity, floral sent. Then under that you smell the fruit, a sweet fruit. The sweetness isn’t overwhelming, but it’s there. It calms down in a sweet, warm sent but it still has that fresh berries somewhere.
If this were a woman I would see a fashionable one with a minimalistic but girly style, she doesn’t scream for attention but everyone recognise her sweetness and she’s impossible to not like. Something about her is like almost magnetic, it’s something that you can’t find anywhere and is impossible to let go of.
This is indeed a special sent, the red berries is so enchanting and reacts beautiful with the fruity florals. My 2 go 2 and all time favourite. Easy wear and not heavy. But still last 6-8 hours. Recommend this to everyone!

I just spent a gorgeous weekend in Miami – warm sea breeze, tropical turquoise water, enchanting orchids, plumeria and jasmine growing on every block, but what struck me most was the scent hanging in the air and projecting from the beautiful ladies on the beach. It was sweet yet fresh with a slight crispness. At the airport DutyFree, I looked for a fragrance that would remind me of my Miami holiday, and this is the one I found. All of the scents of the beach, the sea, and the city seem to meld together into this harmony of a fragrance. You can smell the flowers growing on the sidewalk, the beautiful people walking by, the crispness of the sea breeze, and the warmth of the Miami air. Beautiful beautiful fragrance

What can I say? I couldn’t believe in my nose! I am not a huge fan of Gucci perfumes although I found them great for the youth and not good enough due to their lasting power.
This perfume smells exactly like my first signature, Viva la Juicy La Fleur from Juicy Couture. I was so scared that my signature will be discontinued as it’s hard to find in a Juicy Couture stand anymore, but now…who cares?
Delicious red berries, sheer and light white florals (gardenia actually), pear? Hmmm what about patchouli that I can’t detect and frangipani that I am not familiar with? All I know is what I said. I should have been angry because of the copy of my favorite perfume, but to be honest can’t wait to try it on my skin and examine it more.
I thought I wouldn’t write a lot, but what I want to mention is that maybe I am growing, I am changing my taste in perfumes and why not try a similar one with a bit different notes? It’s not scary, I wished that I will never change, but it’s natural and maybe I like it. Romantic, young, sheer, flirty, tender, fresh, playful, this is Gorgeous Gardenia Flora by Gucci!

Do you remember in ‘Sex and the City’ when Carrie see the shoes she covets in the store window and says “Hello Lover..” ??? This is the exact reaction I have every time I see this bottle. I love the bottle, I love the bow, I love the pretty pink juice color…and I LOVE this scent. I have a lot of trouble with floral sometimes and had thought Gardenia may be one of my trigger flowers. But for whatever reason on my skin I get hardly any Gardenia at all. I love that it’s a sweet floral as opposed to a powdery one which I cannot handle. I love that it’s fruity. I LOVE the way I feel wearing this scent. Happy the instant I smell it. It seems to last on me well. If you have trouble with florals you should give this one a sniff. Not offensive to me at all and my nose is SO sensitive.

I really like this, but wish it was stronger and lasted longer. Light, pretty, feminine scent. Crisp, fresh, and floral. All the comparisons to Viva La Juicy… must be something to it, but I don’t care for Viva, but I love this. Happy Smelling! 🙂

  56. :

What a pretty perfume! And I do think “pretty” is the word I’d use to describe it. It’s giggly and fun, but not immature – it’s sweet and feminine, but not syrupy. It manages to retain an air of youthfulness, while conveying sophistication.
I’m very pleased to have a little tester vial. I prefer it now that the weather is getting a little cooler, than in the summer, when the sweetness intensified on my skin. As previously mentioned, longevity is a little on the ho-hum side. (2.5 hrs on me.) I can stretch this ever so slightly longer if I apply a non-scented hand cream to my wrists prior to applying. I adore the pear and frangipane notes and am absolutely elated as always to find there is not a trace of my nemesis patchouli on my skin, even though it is listed as a note… YUSSS!
With its “pretty” price-tag, I’m not convinced it will find a home with me yet, based on its disappointing longevity primarily. I do give the scent a strong “like” rating though.

  57. :

really really fresh sweet fruity note for the opening. pear note is last more than an hour on my hands. and then gardenia and frangipani take parts make it flowery all around.
what i get for top to bottom are pear and gardenia. i am not really happy with the longevity. it’s doesn’t last on my skin. i have to replenish it twice. the good news is, it is very wearable and suitable for daily perfume. teenagers definitely love the scent. overall, it was pleasant, very safe scent and nice gardenia.

I am very disappointed at this perfume.
I have recently bought it. I was looking for Dolce and Gabana
‘L’imperatrice”, which is a perfect mixture of a playful and classy perfume for summer. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued.
I tried this, which in the beginning gives the impression that it’s fruity. But when I got home I wore it and got shocked: there got to be a problem in the mixture. THE FRUITY and FLOWERY SCENT ARE AT ODDS with each other. There is no exquisite transition between the two.
Also, it fades quickly, leaving a smell of flowers. I am not really into flowery scents.
Too expensive for an eau de toilette, and too unsophisticated for a Gucci perfume.

In the beginning I can smell some fruitiness but it soon turns into rich and full white flower. So that’s got to be gardenia. It’s very classy and beautiful, almost fresh white flower scent.
I’m not so fond of white flowers so I wouldn’t buy this. But I can really recommend this to someone who has different taste in perfumes than me. This is not suffocating like I mostly feel about white flowers.

It has Marc Jacobs daisy eau so fresh vibe, but this is maybe more sweet and lasts longer. Very airy, fruity. Just gorgeous.

Gorgeous, I really really LOVE IT!! On my skin is fresh and fruity. My favourite one and a big plus is that my boyfriend absolutely adores it 🙂

This is gorgeous. When I wear this, I get pear from the first spritz until the end of the drydown, with a lot of gardenia echoing behind it. It’s a lovely juicy floral. It lasts several hours and is so pretty. A definite improvement on the original Flora by Gucci!
I don’t love the patchouli in this so it won’t be my everyday frag; however this is lovely for the spring months in NYC when the cold starts to thaw and the sun comes out after the dark winter months. Very pretty and fresh! I have a sample vial right now and this may eventually find its way into my permanent, full-bottle collection.

This is a really sweet perfume! It smells like Viva La Juicy with the Angel patchouli vibe! The opening is nice, and the overall sent as well I have to say, but it’s just way too sweet for my liking.

Gorgeous Gardenia is definitely an instant love for me.
Been eye-ing this for quite a while and I am happy I finally made my purchase today. I normally wouldn’t really settle for floral perfume but this is just too pleasant to resist.
It is not overwhelming with a balance of fruity freshness to it. Love love this one and lasted longer in colder temperature.
This is definitely my new daily office scent.

This one will always hold a special place in my heart as it’s what I wore on my wedding day!
I am the first to admit that I don’t usually go for floral scents (in fact I despise most floral scents)but this one really surprised me! There is a bit of a fruity tang to it and also a slight sweetness too!
Definitely one to try if you find some florals too over powering.

Girly, reminiscent of Juicy but not that overwhelming. Only complaint is lasting power- consider this a body spray!

Gucci could have mass-marketed a modern composition featuring the bodacious gardenia flower to captivate younger consumers and entice those of us who love gardenia already, BUT NO – this house had to release some played-out fruity/floral composition (a la Viva La Juicy) and tack the ill-fitting name, “Gorgeous Gardenia” to it…in 2012. (???)
I would have thought (hoped) this would be a sort of entry-level gardenia-dominant scent along the lines of the easy-to-like Generous Violet that Gucci released. Generous Violet was definitely violet-y, but was well-balanced and soft enough to appeal to those new to violet fragrances and established violet-lovers, too. Why couldn’t that structure have been used in the creation of Gorgeous Gardenia? If there IS a hint of gardenia in this composition it is present only because I am willing it, with all my might, to appear underneath all the saccharine. Bummer and a fail (to my nose).

I surprised myself by liking this. It’s certainly reminiscent of Viva la Juicy and other heavily fruity florals and less of the traditional white floral than I expected. White floral gals, don’t let the name fool you.
It may not be listed in the notes, but it smells suspiciously of caramel. Perhaps the sweet fruits just create that accord. I get mostly red berries and sugared gardenia petals.
I’ve worn it a couple of times and enjoyed it. My eyes don’t water with elation at the thought of it.
Edit 10/12/15: The more I test this, the more I’m absolutely convinced that this shares the same aroma-chemical base as Viva La Juicy. Now, I personally like the smell. But I do find it a bit disconcerting that the major fragrance companies find it sufficient to take one ingredient and dump it in a perfume in large doses, without nuance or finesse, and then stick a hefty price tag on it. Forget fruits or flowers, this basically dries down to that single note I don’t know the name of. This is where the caramel-like smoothness is coming from.

This smells absolutely delicious. It is impossible to dislike this perfume. It is one of my new found favs. I have tested this many times before -but usually I have tested this on my clothing while out shopping along with about 30 other fragrances so for that reason it didnt shine or stand out to me for a while maybe it was overpowered by all the others. However a lady sat infront of me on public transport the other week and she smelt divine- i was so tempted to ask her what it was she was wearing as it smelt vaguely familiar-then it came to me like a lightbulb that it was gucci gardenia- so to cut a long story short i ended up buying this diamond that same day- luckily it was payday haha!
Anyway, ever since, i have been using this perfume for work along with special occassions- it is so fresh and fruity and somewhat aquatic also. It is such a beautiful fragrance to me. Pear being my favourite note- it is especially delicious- all pear lovers must purchase this! It makes me feel romantic spiritual optimistic and hopeful for the future- it is such a springy positive uplifting fragrance. I smell some slight tuberose in this too along with cranberry. I simply love it- it might be the pear bias- i dont know but this perfume is beautiful to me- it is in one of my top 5.
    scent- 9/10
    lasting time- 6.5/10
    radiates-7/10
    Packaging=7.5/10
Truly beautiful romantic spiritual hopeful inspiring scent.
Wouldn’t say this one is directed towards young girls infact I would say it is more aimed at middle aged women. But it is beautiful for any age because it is beautifully blended and gorgeous. It epitomizes femininity.
Not that familiar to La fleur- only on first spritz the dry down is completely different. This lasts much longer
