Pepper, musk, sandalwood, a floral note and just a touch of bergamot, this is what my nose picks up. Then I sensed some smoke but then realized that someone was annoyingly smoking next to me( if I was PM I would ban outdoors smoking as well..). However the slight smoky element persisted even when I removed myself from the offending customer. It could be of course the combo of spice and wood. I really like this very much, I see it as very balanced and not sweet but not fresh either, certainly it can work well in summer, when that arrives in the UK. This is my first Afnan and a complete blind buy and it has not failed to please. Certainly a brand to keep an eye.
