Description

F by Ferragamo Black arrived on the market in the beginning of 2009, as an elegant, evening and intensive version of the original F by Ferragamo. The perfume was created by Olivier Polge, who composed it of lavender absolute, black pepper, coriander seed, labdanum and tonka. The new bottle is a reinterpretation of its antecedent, coloured in black, with a silver logo. This edition can be found as 30, 50 and 100ml edt.

    This is simple.
Opening of F black= Old man scent (probably like Bois du Portugal)
Dry Down of F black = Opening of La nuit + Spices
If you like la nuit, then you will like that too. La nuit is sexier of the two. I like La Nuit but Balsmic nature of F Black is putting md off. Not for me, thank you.

I finally had a chance to try this fragrance and I already fell in love with it.
First off, La nuit is my favorite fragrance and I have to admit this fragrance reminds me of la nuit de l’homme because of that powdery lavender and that aromatic feel. They share some similarities but they are totally different fragrances with different purposes. La nuit smells much more smooth and heavenly while F Black is more masculine and sharp and it has way better performance than la nuit, even 2012 version which I own.
Great fragrance but not an alternative for la nuit.
If you want a cheap fragrance with a good performance that can attract women,go for it, You wont be disappointed

My favorite goto fragrance when I am in weekend relaxing mode just because it is so easy to wear and gives you such a cozy feeling.
After an initial burst of beautiful apple and lavender it sattles down and continues on with darkish tonka and black pepper base notes.
I must try if you are enjoying your Saturday morning breakfast with your family or planning a brunch with some buddies..

A great scent by Olivier Polge, it does indeed smell to my nose like the drydown of La nuit de l’homme, lavender and tonka bean with great longevity and projection, a compliment getter and a great value.

A lot of bad reviews for this lately. Im guessing it’s due to it being a more mature scent and lacking the typical sweetness that new releases seen to have. I can understand why it’s not for some guys but for someone 30+ i think this is a really good fragrance. Forget the comparisons to other fragrances, i think that’s another reason for the negative reviews.
This is slightly mature, powerful and to me exudes a sense of dominance and masculinity. The lavender i find gorgeous personally. Longevity is up there with the best performing fragrances in my collection and I’ve always received compliments from other guys on this fragrance and been told i smell manly.
    8/10 for me

No.. this is nothing like versace man

  7. :

This is just a proper mans fragrance.
Not an old fashioned man’s fragrance. Just a proper man fragrance that women really like.
If you’re goal is to smell manly, smell great, and get compliments from women? This will tick all those boxes.
And for circa £20 for a 100ml bottle..
    What more can I say?

Can hardly decide anything based on the comments below…
Is it worth a blind buy? This one or Pour Homme version?
    Thanks!

Summer Fall day time office and evening wear fragrance.
Have noticed, every single time I wear this one, my female co-worker talks to me more than on other days. 🙂
Very good cheap perfume option for everyday use. It slightly leans more towards evening time kinda wear but I’ve been enjoying it even during the day time. And it lasts more then 10 hours easy.
100% buy and wear with confidence.

Sorry maybe i have a bad batchnumber but i don ‘t like it at all , maybe i have to give it a few weeks , first impression ;to much pepper imo dry down floral and in the back pepper again , longevity is great 6 /8 hours , projection not bad .
Update : My wife really likes it on me , and when i smell my clothes ( which i spray on ) the day after , it’s not bad at all

  11. :

i have almost empty bottle, maybe 4-5ml left.
when i sprayed it, it skips the peppery annoying phase and straight the heavenly drydown of La Nuit.
i dont have performance issue with this one, i just feel it isnt suited for hot weather

I’ll wear the inevitable down-votes as a badge of honor:
This unfortunately smells like baby wipes from the 90s with a dash of the “black pepper” they use in perfumery. Easily one of the biggest disappointments from the YouTube frag-comm hype machine (looking at you Jeremy). It’s ALMOST as big of a fail as D&G The One EDT which was also made by the same poor soul.

It smells awesome and don’t look at the rating at Fragrantica anymore, most ratings are not reliable. You can get this at discounted prices but it doesn’t mean that it isn’t good. It is great and trust me that if you collect colognes or starting a collection, this will be in your rotation trust me.

    Sweet Peppery Goodness…
This is a great budget scent which ticks all the right boxes. A great office scent.
Bottle Design: 5 (it’s difficult and uncomfortable to hold)
    Scent: 8
Longevity: 8 (Lasts so much longer on clothes)
Sillage: 6 (sits close to the skin)

    A undisputed cheapy champion here.
This is a more rugged and masculine YSL La nuit de lomme.
You are less likely to appeal to the teeny boppers girlies, who want you to smell like JPG ultra male or Acqua di gio special blend with this.
Hey the Rocker chicks are better anyways, shots fired.
If you wanted a smoother, deeper spicebomb and found spicebomb’s vanilla cheap and tobacco overbearing, this is for you.
4 out of 5 and I love to wear this in the fall outdoors and everywhere in the winter.

    Like
This is a nice and modern daytime scent suitable for spring and summer. It’s not so strong that many people say. It’s hot summer here and I can wear it without becoming cloying or strong. Great versatility.
All I get is very strong and slightly sour green apple, tonka beans, mild black peper and strong lavender.
Performance is high-moderate overall. Very safe and pleasant scent.
I do get the comparison with Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de l’Homme. It’s not a substitute/clone but if you want a more vivid, youthful & versatile La Nuit this is the answer.

Grow you a beard girly men. This is a testosterone filled punch in the jaw. Put that leather jacket on, hit a few sprays, and watch the people try to hunt down that manly man.

  19. :

    5 out of 5

I don’t understand why this one being treated like an “under dog” fragrance. I trust my nose and I like it. There are fragrances not for everybody and there are ones for anybody. This one is among the friendly, inoffensive kind and still holds its own style and character.
I really like how the spicy notes are combined in this one to set a classy masculine tone for the whole composition, without the help of vetiver or grapefruit, bergamot or wood, as so many other men’s fragrances rely on those notes big time. That right there is unique and interesting enough to my nose. Apple, lavender and labdanum add character for sure: a fresh and elegant sweetness. This is a smooth, simple and positive frag to have in hand, when one does not want to think hard about what one should wear on a daily basis. And yet, it still gets the job done of making sure that whoever wears it will smell good and feel confident.

  20. :

    3 out of 5

I like it… I would put it in a mature fragrance category. Not very unique but it’s classy… Dry down is better…

  21. :

    5 out of 5

This is an okay fragrance. If you are looking for a cheap clone of YSL La Nuit de l’homme, this isn’t it. It smells barely in the same ball park as La Nuit. But that ball park is an enormous stadium, and it’s waaaaaay at the other end. I’ll take a pass on this one.

  22. :

    5 out of 5

This one is a simple, masculine yet very elegant fragrance. To me the lavender and the tonka bean are the superstars. The composition of the fragrance is very smooth, creamy and nose friendly. This one is very versatile, year round with exception of very hot summer days. On some summer days and nights you can get away with it. If I was to tell someone I was wearing YSL La Nuit De L’Homme you would be easily convinced making F Black an excellent alternate for alot less money. This one lasts 6 to 8 hours on my skin using 6 To 8 sprays, easily covering my work shift. The sillage is about 2 to 4 feet. Making it very safe and nose friendly. I give this one a rating 8 out 10. I would give it a 8.5 if it wasn’t for the bottle presentation. Personally Ferragamo needs to step up their bottle game.

  23. :

Lavender, sweet green juicy apple and some nice cracked black pepper. Gross,Gross with a touch more of gross. I fell for the hype of this a few years ago and hand balled it off to a random at work quick smart. Sharp, cloying and if baby wipes smell like this I’m never buying those either.

  24. :

Nice fregrance but low quality packaging. Recycled materials were used to make package.

What is wrong with this fragrance!! I got my bottle on 13/05/2018. It is that fragrance which I smelled in my dreams. It is the best scent so far I have sniffed. Best designer release at a very affordable price. Thanks Oliver Polge for presenting this gem. Salute to Jeremy for hyping it. A must buy for the Men-it is not for boys.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

Not bad, but i’ts not even close to “La nuit de l”homme” by YSL. Moderate performance, a bit strong synthetique opening. you get what you paid for.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

An interesting, lighter scent that is floral yet manly. Solid performance. This is the best fragrance you can get at Ross/TJ Maxx/Marshalls for $20.

  28. :

    5 out of 5

It comes out too strong and the smell stays strong..not in a good way. The smell is piercing, and smells of wet naps as someone described and which I agree with. I blind bought this and it was a big mistake.
Yes it smells similar to La Nuit De L’homme but way stronger..again not in a good way. I guess I like more subtle and sweet scents and this just wasn’t it.

  29. :

    3 out of 5

i am not really a fan of this one, it has a certain scent in the background which is really off putting for me. IMO a better alternative would be Burberry Touch.

  30. :

    3 out of 5

I just Picked up a 100ml bottle for $30 at Ross today and the first smell brought back strong memories of Chanel allure homme, which I had back in 2001. I made this connection without reading any reviews first. I think this will be a great work or evening scent for the spring or fall.
    Verdict- 9/10 I love it

  31. :

    4 out of 5

I really wish this was stronger. I love the sharp peppery feel of this but unfortunately I get about 3 inches of projection and virtually no longevity.
After seeing all the hype around this and it’s “great performance”, I sometimes wish reviewers would be a touch more critical and original in their reviews rather than letting the hype hijack their opinions completely.

    Batch 10H40AE1 (april 2017)
    Terrible chemical/alcoholic opening…
    However…!!
    The most amazing sweet drydown!!
Smells almost identical to La nuit (90%), just a bit more spicey (love the pepper) on drydown.
The performance of my batch is decent…I tend to overspray and 8-10 sprays directly on my torso under my shirt give me very good projection for around 5-6 hours (Winter).
    The price?
Bargain at £25 for 100 ml!!
    Intoxicating
    Harmonious
    Sexy
This is the smell of angels!
    10/10
    … and thank you!

you must wait about 1 hour to understand what it has.
A unique and masculine. It is a great fragrance dry down is way better then the opening.

  34. :

    3 out of 5

Well, it does (somehow) smell like La nuit de L’homme, but they both take on different paths, accomplishing different jobs.
While the new La nuit batches lack performance (3-4, pushing 5 hours – longevity), this one lasts a bit longer (aprox. 7 hours with 2 hours of projection on my skin)
Blind bought it, disappointed at first..
After a while I’ve started to appreciate it, although I’m still not convinced by the smell (also it doesn’t mix too well with my skin).
It reminds me of my dad, or some sort of fragrance he used to wear when I was a kid.
Has a Barber-Shop vibe to it and it smells better off the sprayer, than on my skin.
I still feel that it misses an ingredient that could change the composition entirely, making it smell better and maybe last longer.
With that being said, smell it, get a sample, wear it, get some compliments eventually, but don’t buy a full bottle unless you love it.

  35. :

A great l nuit d lomme killer. This one is more mature and more aromatic though. This is less crowd pleasing and less pleasing to younger women though.
If you want a replacement or cheaper alternative to spice bomb as well.
I get 7 hours and and 1 hour of heavy projection, before it slowly dies.
One of the best cheap fragrances in the world.

  36. :

Its summer right now. I have very skinny figure and no fat at all even no sweat in good hot weather(except extreme hot and long distance walk). So normally my body is not so hot like others. No one can properly smell this fragrance even they are very close contact with me, WHY !!!

  37. :

    4 out of 5

To me it smells like an overly sweet and synthetic version of Chanel Allure Homme combined with a somewhat weird soapy vibe and some pepper. It’s rather piercing and strong and actually a bit unpleasant. Definitely don’t blind buy this one.

  38. :

    5 out of 5

Weird, all it kept reminding me of was a toned down version Dylan Blue??
Anyway, I got a sample based on the mass YouTube hype, and I’m glad it was just a sample. It’s not a bad fragrance, it’s quite pleasant, but boy has this been over hyped. Thankfully it’s cheap, but still not bottle worthy for me.

  39. :

    4 out of 5

Yet another overhyped scent because of Jeremy Fragrance.
It’s like a cheap and synthetic version of lanuit mixed with hairspray
Long lasting? Yes very, but it still smells too “cheap”
    Overall- 4.5/10

I bought this fragance following the best reviews from many youtubers, and also in this website. Unfortunately is not as good as I expected. Being my first Ferragamao scent, I do not recognize any YSL feature. It is manly, peppety in the beginning, but in my skin the performance is not remarkable and in my opinion the fragance is good but no special for me. Probably my expectation was too high, FFBlack is common good fragance, you can use it at the office, for evenings and more appropriate for adults.
    In my opinion,for cold weather.
Soory for people who loves it, but this blind buy has not been a good selection.
    Scent (40%) = 6.0
    Performance (30%) = 6.0
    Compliments (20%) = 5.0
    Cost/Quality (10%) = 6.0

  41. :

    3 out of 5

“don’t trust fragrance reviewers – it’s not close to la nuit” yes, true – it’s better imo (there i said it)
How about you people stop believing the hype about la nuit being the bestest frag ever ?
They are KIND OF similar after drydown (having them both on my hands now) Ferragamo has prominent pepper even on the drydown, i get some similarities to spicebomb in that aspect (not as sweet and harsh tho). La nuit is more powdery and a tad sweeter in a flower’ish way, also more “creamy/milky” which makes it more “romantic” i would say. Ferragamo black is more dry, and more spicy (also sweet but in a different – spicy almost sporty way).
I would say ferragamo is a bit more masculine than la nuit and has better projection (anything has better projection than todays la nuit lol) also i don’t get that much of a “dressed up scent” or “evening/late night scent” out of it, it’s pretty versatile to my nose. Wearing it in office or with a cosy sweater in winter/fall would be my pick.
After sniffing la nuit and getting used to it for few mins – smelling ferragamo is like smelling spicebomb + some flowers. When smelling it “out of the blue” (without comparison to anything else) it’s reminding me of more masculine version of la nuit (more strength, more spicy, less creamy/flowery) your nose is ignoring pepper becasue it’s so well blended. I think lavender is creating illusion of la nuit powdery scent notes in this scent.
To me this is much better in terms of price/scent/versatility than short-lived and overpriced la nuit.

  42. :

Ironic that I like this so much being that I’m not the biggest Allure Homme or La Nuit fan. The opening is harsh, and quite intense if you spray too much. This is one that gets better the longer it’s on skin. It has the quintessential “dad” accord in the drydown phase. Truly a winner in my book. Excellent price to boot. Thumbs up!

  43. :

Got another 50ml bottle for $16 free shipping. This is it, guys! Can’t get enough words to say how much i love it. It reminds me La Nuit de L’Homme YSL a bit, a bit of Valentino Uomo, a bit of Allure, a bit of coriander from D&G The One EDP a bit of any perfume I like)) One of the most delicious at the dry down. Very smooth after first hour, very wearable in winter/fall/colder spring. Best price/quality value.

Smells like black love inscence on drydown..
    Get it?

I like the original and PH the most
    8.75/10

  45. :

    3 out of 5

This stuff smells surprisingly closer to Allure Homme than it does to La Nuit in my opinion, especially in the opening. The opening is a heavy blast of citrus or… ( what ? apple ?? ) okay let it be apple, mixed with a lot of tonka beans. As it dries down the lavender starts to show up with some pepper, though to my nose that lavender note here is not as dominant as some people say it is. I think the main note here remains that tonka bean with citrus/apple, and like Chanel’s AH it’s a fresh scent with formal vibe, so it’s best to not wear it daily, and probably avoid to wear it in the hot summer days.

  47. :

    4 out of 5

Okay kids check it out. Like others have said the dry down is great to me I agree the opening sucks very tart and what I like to call and label “mossy” if that makes sense. Everyone saying that’s from peppery lavender notes. The beginning is Mossy like Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce. Which I absolutely hate and despise which makes me dislike this fragrance until that nonsense goes away and it Smooths out to something versatile and nice. And like someone else mentions you get a whiff of it on someone else and it can be so pleasant but when you’re testing it on yourself you cant identify it as well. But when you know you get a whiff of it off someone else that’s what other people are picking up when they get a whiff of you and with this it’s very good. The dry down is where its at. Smooth sweetness with less pepper mossy present. No fluff, Just Facts Bro!

  48. :

I don’t see how it is close to YSL l’nuit, not even close. I would say similar vibe. Very nice creamy spicy scent. I like it a lot, I would say good casual scent for cooler weather. Don’t like the bottle, but it is still great for the price. Good for any age, nice masculine and clean scent. I can recommend it, but i agree it is not compliment getter, usually answer is “it’s nice” rather than OMG 🙂

  49. :

    4 out of 5

To me this is a powdery apple lavender fragrance. Softer than what I expected from the reviews.
Has nothing to do with Chanel Allure or YSL LND’lhomme.
Safe with average scent and average performance.
    Pleasant but way overhyped.
    Best advantage is the price.

  50. :

    5 out of 5

This is tone down version of F by Ferragamo OR I would say very different from original as this is more towards sweetness, this is called black but in reality it is not a dark and complex; original is more loud, quite strong and projects we’ll than this. It is quite synthetic and metallic with less projection. I don’t mind designer budget fragrance unless they smell good. I love few of them. The opening of black version is very synthetic and annoying. It gets better in heart note and in Base notes it becomes skin scent.
Please I always recommend to those who are planning to buy this or any other new perfume and came here too see review, try this on your skin first and see if this work for you or not. Do not blind buy just because of what people says or influenced by any youtube reviewer blindly. Like here on this website in description they mentioned lavender absolute. Where as this fragrance screams synthetic. Even after testing on skin If this works for you its a win win situation for you.
    Peace!

  51. :

The scent is nice, but the performance sucks for me. I don’t get more than 2 hours max in longevity, about 20 minutes of projection, and the sillage is less than mediocre.
Maybe I got a really bad bottle? It was a tester, after all.
It starts with a pretty harsh synthetic lavender, but eventually mellows down to a very nice lavender. I really do like the scent.
Never got a compliment with it, because people can’t smell it.

I was gifted F by Ferragamo Black last Vanentine’s Day by my wife. So I’ve had almost a year to evaluate a scent I’m not sure I would have purchased for myself.
That would have been my loss.
F by Ferragamo Black could be my most versatile fragrance: cool weather or warm; in the office or a casual event; a jaunt during the day or an dressy evening out. F Black checks all the boxes for when I where a scent and what my expectations for that scent are. As I said, versatile. F by Ferragamo Black is the blue blazer of colognes–slip in on and go.

My friend was wearing it. I smelled his wrist and it smelled pretty much identical to the original Allure Homme. So if you’re on a budget and you must have Allure Homme, this is a good option. Otherwise, there’s nothing really unique or new about this one

  57. :

    5 out of 5

Holy Sh*t! This is indeed good!
Majority say it smells like YSL LNDL, I don’t get the similarity but this definitely smells exactly like Chanel’s Allure Homme and actually this one is better! When I sprayed it on my arm, it also reminded me of Le Male in the first hour or so, must have been the lavender and the sweet tonka. This is a good one and even better at the current price!

  58. :

    4 out of 5

Without a doubt one of the most potent fragrances i own beating the likes of dhi, joop! and not far from being on par with pure havane.Beastly stuff, the fragrance isn’t mind blowing but it’s pleasant and masculine.Other guys frequently compliment it.

  59. :

Just got a full bottle of this. Definitely reminds me of La Nuit, at least the way it used to be. I love the opening. I don’t find it harsh in any way. Very creamy and rich. Tonka bean is the star in this juice! Projects like a beast! Price is nothing short of amazing! The sad thing…No compliments on this one!

I saw too much reviews of this one in Jeremy´s Fragrance! He is always talking about this one and saying that every man should wear this fragrance! So, to experiment if that Jeremy was saying was really true, i bought it. And it is a really good fragrance. Very pleasant, indeed. And not an expensive one. And its perfect to wear in cold days. I think everyone should buy this fragrance while it´s cheap!

  61. :

Strong synthetic start for this one. Dries down to a really smooth and good smelling lavender. I agree with some reviews here though, nothing groundbreaking and special. But definitely one to keep on your shelves folks. Cheers!

  62. :

    4 out of 5

    totally worth the price!
this is like La Nuit made suitable for work and casual as it is less creamy and more masculine.

  63. :

    3 out of 5

Have to say that I’m pretty underwhelmed by this. There is nothing particularly groundbreaking or special about it. I also don’t get the comparison between this and La Nuit De L’Homme. La Nuit is quite different than this and so much richer, better blended, and deeper. F black comes off as dry and powdery to me and not in a good way. For the price it’s not a bad fragrance, but I personally don’t agree with Jeremy Fragrance hyping this one. It’s boring!! This is one of the most dull and generic spicy men’s designer fragrances out there.

A nice elegant cheap fragrance. Starts with a heavy peppery/sweet lavender, then turns in a peppery La Nuit to finally became an elegant scent reminiscent of damp cloths and la Nuit. Is pleasant with no more than 4 sprays (I use 3 ) This is a night out semi-formal fragrance, more elegant than the YSL but less seductive. Could be great for cold weather suit occasions if you want to smell kinda clean. Longevity is around 8-9 hours.
Give it a try; is a good scent at a low price.
    For me 8/10
    Price 10/10

Sometimes I wonder, why would some brands like CK or Hugo Boss, go through all the trouble to make a nice perfume that only lasts a couple hours and worth $50+, while, Salvatore Ferragamo might have gone through the same trouble only to make a nice gem here that lasts at least 12 hours and worth not more than $25. Its not the most unique perfume out there but Seriously, you can almost never get a perfume that last this long with this price. And btw, it doesn’t smell cheap at all. And yes, it does somewhere smell like Allure Chanel. I don’t know how it performs in hot weather but in this cold, 12 hours on skin, and more than a day on clothes. Very nice perfume.

OMG – I haven’t smelled this since I bought it last Spring but man this is smelling so good. The beginning has the fresh-aromatic spicy scent but I wish it would last longer and then it drys down to a floral sweet smell. You can probably wear this in occasions – formal or casual, day and night.

What a great scent! It starts out sharp and peppery and then mellows a little, but the pepper stays throughout. the result is this great smelling, uniquely masculine heat emanating from the opening of my shirt. I guess if you don’t like lavender, you won’t like this one, but, honestly, the pepper is what hits me the strongest. The longevity and sillage is amazing – truly something you’d expect from a much more expensive product. Definitely go easy on the sprayer.

Interesting scent and fantastic value for the $. Fresh, floral, a bit peppery at first, then sweet later. Women of all ages seem to appreciate it (at least on me).
Starts off with a burst of peppery lavender, with just a touch of sweetness. I can understand how the mingling of its top to middle notes can *fleetingly* remind one of a La Nuit De L’homme — but this passes into something else entirely, such that the comparison isn’t all that close. The lavender stays around but really settles down into a supporting role, as pepper and coriander take over, draped in an almost unctuous vanillic/ambery tonka/labdanum base. This is the best part, IMO. After the spices dry off (maybe an hour later), the base notes recombine with the residual lavender into a clean and fresh skin scent.
Where F Black can start off a bit screechy (but still decent IMO), what it settles into is something quite balanced and nice. Having said that, there is a bit of a lavender cleaner vibe that peeks in and out later in the dry down that I could frankly do without, but it’s not overpowering or offensive by any means. But for this reason, I’d say it’s not for everyone or for every day, but still a really nice, inexpensive Ferragamo find.
And FWIW, 3 out of 3 females in my house like F Black — and they rarely agree on anything. 🙂
I consider this a <$20 blind buy success without question. Low risk buy. Thank you, fellow reviewers (as always) for the insights!

Well this is interesting. It comes off almost as a leathery scent.
I don’t like it on my skin but I can understand how some people count on this fragrance: it’s inexpensive and beautiful. Try it and see how you like it! 🙂

Sweet, sensual & powdery, but by no means cheap smelling. Think of this as the perfect fragrance if you’ve ever fantasized about being a highly paid French gigolo. It’s just right for an evening at Maxim’s or a night at the tables in Monaco.

Oh, no no no. I know this is a subjective hobby, but guys! This is nothing but a lavender cleaner/hand wipe smell. As time passes, it doesn’t really change. Please don’t just buy based on Jeremy Fragrance hocking this- notice the girls in his videos don’t really like it as much as he does- listen to them! I am spinning as I close this review.

So I can see why people both love and hate this fragrance but I’m in the category of disliking this but not hating this.
Everyone says the opening is the worst part of this fragrance but it was honestly my favorite part. It opens up with a strong lavender that’s also powdery and peppery. The opening to my nose smells like some type of masculine smelling baby wipes.( if that was a thing, lol) After this dries down the scent then gets moresweet, peppery and more synthetic smelling to my nose.
Big warning about this is it smells bad up close but it does smell better in the air !
So the first time I wore this I was on the fence about this as it wasn’t horrible as I did like the powdery lavender vibe but the pepper and aggressiveness of the scent had me unsure so I wanted to see if it passed the girlfriend test.
Needless to say this failed miserably ! I’ve worn more than a hundred different scents over the years and only about 5 caused my girlfriend to ask me to please take a shower because she couldn’t stand the smell. She said it was the pepper that was causing her to get a headache and not like it but there was a part of the smell she liked. ( probably the lavender)
Performance on this is great ! This has beast mode projection and lasts on my skin 16-24 hours with only 2 sprays.
Overall rating — 6 out of 10 ! I didn’t hate this scent but it surely wasn’t my favorite but the redeeming factors are that it performs excellent and has a great price point

When you dig your nose, it smells like floral anus which is most likely due to a high concentration of lavender note.
However when you get whiffs of it, it is quite pleasant.
P.S WOW after this gets to the dry down stage, it is very pleasant.
    Rating: 8/10

Slept on this for a while. Every time i tried in it a store it just seemed “meh” to me. Finally just bought it to add to the collection and oh my god i love it! I wouldn’t say it smell like this or that. Ysl allure homme etc. It kinda has similarities to both and more. Either way, i see it as its own scent and it is fantastic! It gets better and better the longer you wear it! Definitely going on my top shelf.
