The initial scent is a powerful orange aroma that’s a bit sweeter than I’d prefer. It’s so strong that I get a big whiff of it every time I open the drawer where I keep it. But then after a while it mellows to a wonderful spicy floral. At this stage it’s indistinguishable from Coco Mademoiselle to me. This is the perfume I wear most frequently and also my boyfriend’s favorite of my perfumes.

I have been on a desperate search for a dupe for Perlier’s Vanille Orange, not to be confused with Perlier’s Caribbean Vanilla Orange. I have run the gamut from high end suggestions to dupe makers on eBay to mixing vanilla food flavoring with orange essential oil. This lovely perfume is the closest I have come to success. AND it has much better silliage and longevity than my true Perlier love. Having said that, these Arabian oils with their lovely scents, longevity and tiny price tags are a perfume addict’s/lover’s/hoarder’s/connisseur’s/collector’s/obsessive compulsive/over-the-top/will never be able to use all of these in her lifetime, girl’s dream come true!

I won’t get into the notes for this one, as others here have described them beautifully.
Story Time: I wore this to work today. Normally I don’t wear too much perfume when I am at my job but love this scent so much that I got a little carried away (well, maybe more than a little). I applied some to my hands and massaged it onto my forearms and hair.
While I was signing in one of the young ladies walked past me, turned back and then followed me down the hall to my desk. She said “You smell so good!” I suddenly felt self conscious and asked “Does it smell really strong?” She said “No, I walked into the room and just had to find out where that beautiful perfume was coming from – I followed the scent and found you!”
WINNING!
Empress really has that effect on people. I’ve worn much more expensive and well-known perfumes that never get the attention Empress does. It’s a hidden gem. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out on something special.

This is good. Very complete perfume with such spicy notes carried by a beautiful floral fruit combo on a lively and juicy citrus bed. Has a vintage edge to my nose.
So accessible to noses wary of Arabic fumes. Wow. Thanks to the reviewers in this thread. This is a wonderful discovery with signature scent pedigree written all over it. What an appropriate name! She is the Empress, fertile and at ease in her natural beauty. A little goes a long way and its good for all seasons for me.
Blessed be the masters of Arabian perfumery. And my fragrant community of perfume lovers. You guys are saving me huge amounts of cash as my education about fragrance grows.

Agree with reviewer, down thread. This is a beautiful little cross between Coco Mademoiselle and Euphoria, for about five dollars US. It’s a lovely raspberry and a heavenly pachouli with dark chocolate, incense, and vanilla notes. Superb quality. Long lasting.

East meets West…this is a great introduction to Arabian fragrance, it smells very modern and like something you’d find at Sephora or Macy’s with an accessibly exotic twist. Patchouli, sandalwood, and musk… hints of orange and vanilla.. this is a beautiful spicy scent that may become my signature, I love it so much! It truly lives up to its name… Empress. This is a rich scent, I feel like an empress in a bright red abaya out on the balcony of her golden palace, looking over an Arabian city at night while sipping a spicy hot orange tea.
Truly an evocative fragrance, and at such a steal…for the quality, I feel like this oil should’ve broken my wallet but it is immensely affordable at only $3 for a 6ml roll-on. Like any Arabian oil, dab a bit on your pulse points–your body heat will build this up into a lovely cloud of scent around you 🙂

I have owned this for awhile but havent reviewed it (or worn it) since it was added to the data base. I don’t know about all the comparisons, but my goodness this is a beautiful fresh juicy citrus/patchouli! My go to fresh patch is usually Diesel Fuel for Life Femme but this probably even tops that. Definitely my favorite Nabeel so far, this one has excellent silage and staying power too!

I’ve been wearing this for about a week or so now, so have had a good while to get used to it. I tried some Euphoria on when out shopping… it’s nice, but I have to say, I much prefer Empress. It stays spicy and oily, whilst Euphoria went all powdery on my skin. I get the Coco Mademoiselle reference too. For £3, you could do a lot worse!

Color me impressed! Expensive and chic smelling,if it’s coco mad…I haven’t a clue. But it’s a beauty of a patchouli scent for sure! Totally blind buy safe!!! Love! Oh..also smell similar to Sofia Vergera “Sofia”

I can’t compare this to Coco because it’s been so long since I smelled it but this fragrance oil is super womanly, super classy…on a scale of 1-10 on the Arabian oils including sillage, longevity etc..definitely a strong 8! I highly recommend! It smells very expensive..

Just received this today, and it’s one of those perfumes when I think to myself ‘What on earth am I doing’?….. I spend so much money on ‘designer’ fragrances, I wouldn’t even try to work out how much I’ve spent over the past few years, my fragrance cabinet is full to bursting, and then I buy this and it just totally blows all my ‘expensive’ perfumes away! This is absolutely stunning, I paid less than £3 and it’s amazing. It’s on parr with the high end fragrances for a tiny price. Words can’t describe what I think of this, beautiful, gorgeous, spicy, sexy, heady, amazing, I could go on, try it yourself then look at all your designer brands, read them and weep. Nabeel you have created a masterpiece xx

Very beautiful! Warm spicy and the patchouli is done right. I’m going to put this one away until the weather cools down a bit. It’s so inexpensive, that you shouldn’t hesitate to give it a try. Love it!

So I just bought this of Ebay recently. And at first I was really put off by the references to Coco Mademoiselle, because where I used to work, women were literally swimming in the stuff!!! Not a big fan.
So a day later, and i’m really coming around to this little beauty.
It starts quite citrus on direct application. I get bergamot and for sure Grapefruit. This stays on my skin for around a good 4 hours. Strange as in the past any citrus notes have turned very acidic on my skin.
I then get sweet warm vanilla, a perhaps a little sandalwood. But I detect no Patchouli, whatsoever. Which is an absolute shame, as I adore it!
This slight citrus stays throughout the oil, on my skin, which usually isn’t the case.
I then notice after 5 hours. It’s gone!!!!!??? Just like that. No trace of anything left. However, I smell it very strongly all over my clothes.
I do enjoy this perfume oil, and even more than I would expect. I love that it’s different to all of my very spicy attars.
I would suggest this for spring and summer. But on my skin unfortunately, it doesn’t last that long. So i have to re apply. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that this is a lovely perfume oil.

Ooh I just found my old bottle of Empress that I was gifted by unearthapocrathy back in the beginning of my fragrance journey! I remember I really liked it but that’s it. Today I saw a few drops left in the bottle so I poured it onto my skin. Wow!! I love it so much!! It smells like coco mad! Its stronger and easier for me to smell than coco mad. After 15 minutes it smells spicier and has a white pepper note. I’m so impressed with Empress:) I just ordered myself a 6 pack and I’m going to layer it with miss Dior and maybe miss Dior Cherie! Longevity is 5 hours on skin, days on clothes. Sillage is moderate to soft.

My word, this is a budget lovers treat!
I recommend wholeheartedly to those who love Patchouli heavy hitters with a rich, fruity character. Brighter and higher pitched – thanks to the citrus – than Euphoria or Imari Seduction, but in that family, for sure. People who enjoy Angel could also find themselves impressed – just expect something Brighter and more sparkling. 😉
Other favorites from this brand include:
Nasaem – Deep, rounded oakmoss, fruit, and balsamic notes with sharp but exotic nagarmotha. Unisex.
Christina – Creamy, dreamy musk and strawberry. Girly, but well blended enough for grandmothers OR little girls…and everybody in between. 😉 Layers like a dream, but for a ‘simple’ scent is surprisingly enjoyable on it’s own.
Illusion – Raghba like, total richness. Sweet smoke, amber, plum(?), wood, and balsamic notes. A memorable unisex gourmand oud.
thresabeg – :
Very much like a richer Imari Seduction- sweet, musky, dark, rich. The patch here is smooth.
Гашеный – :
Clean and sophisticated. The patchouli is restrained and very clean. Similar to Coco Madm.
деллл – :
Most amazing oil ever, applied it in my sweater yesterday afternoon and it is still radiating strongly. The scent is so elegant and sophisticated. It really makes me want to try more Nabeel. It’s so true that it smells like Coco mad and euphoria. Heavenly indeed!
AlobiaobliB – :
This is very rich and complex! My impression is some dark, sweet juicy berries, orange, patchouli, creamy musk, and a ribbon of caramel strewn throughout!
When I first put this on I thought WOW. Cannot believe this amazing fragrance comes in a $3 roll on?!
Maybe some jasmine or tuberose in there? This has a dark, creamy, lush and sophisticated vibe to me. It’s a heavy-hitter, big sillage for the first few hours, and lasts around 7hrs on me. Smells like an expensive designer perfume. Empress is a winner for anyone who likes rich, sweet, exotic perfumes with patchouli.
Note: Almost a twin of Love Notes by Ellen Tracy. Orange, Raspberry, patchouli/woods.
Idalgo – :
i second heather62 on the comparison to coco mademoiselle! this is a beautiful spicy scent with some great sillage-lasted 8+ hours me, and the next morning i could still smell it as a skin scent
easily a love!

This perfume is so beautiful!!! It is like a mix of Coco Mademoiselle and Euphoria. Bright and sparkling orange with a hint of patchouli. I love it.
Update: I have purchased this for many of my friends and so far all but one have loved it (the lone person asked me if I thought she smelled, so clearly she is crazy).
Empress will impress you if you give it a chance. It’s really a beautiful smell.
Update: why do I bother with anything else? There is literally nothing I like more.
