This autumn, J.Lo. will thrill all fans of her fruity-floral cocktail Live presented in 2005 in a beautiful bottle, with lively and cheerful aromas of summer, game and rhythm.
New edition, its successor, LIVE PLATINUM, arrives in design inspired by snow. Its bottle is fragile and unique as a snowflake, which will melt on your neck and wrists and win you over with its aromas.
Live Platinum arrives in a glass bottle which refracts snow-white rays and has the same shape as its antecedent. It is decorated with a pendant shaped like a snow-flake on the neck of the bottle.
The composition offers a blend of gourmand notes of marzipan, plum and ruby grapefruit, to warm and inspire your snowy days, accompanied with Christmas rose, orange blossom and hint of heliotrope accords in the heart of composition. The base combines vanilla, musk, white cedar wood and amber.
Perfumer is Givaudan’s Shyamala Maisondieu.
Snow Queen Live Platinum will be available as 50 ml EDP, limited edition.

Yes this is definitely a winter perfume. I tried it in the summer when i first purchased…it smelled like …nothing really just a little sour citrus and a hint of vanilla to be honest i was a little disappointed. But i waited until it got nice and cold and now it is perfect one of my favorites…i love that marzipan note it is so different and unique…its not just the same old Vanilla scent in all perfumes and i love the way the citrus blends with the marzipan and somehow the flowers are blended very nicely and not too overpowering to give it a clean undertone. This probably my most favorite Jlo perfume mostly because it is unique and not like anything else i own

I forgot I bought this last year during summer and just rediscovered it a year later. So glad! I can’t stand most JLo fragrances; they’re either too fruity sweet or too soapy for me, and never last long. This, excluding the disappointing longevity, is an exception. Now if you’re like me and live in a place with no real winter, and you miss the cold and snow like hell, especially during Christmas, then you’ll probably be seeking out fragrances that remind you of such weather. Live Platinum is definitely one to try. Firstly that gorgeous shimmery bottle with the snowflake is super cute. The first time I tried this was in hot and humid 35°C weather and I could hardly smell a thing, thus sadly putting it away. I’m lucky enough to live in an apartment with air-conditioning now, most days it’s cranked up to 18°C, therefore I have my own personal “winter” inside lol. Spritzed this on today and it smells totally different. Note: if kept in a supercold environment it actually goes on with a cold sensation. I can smell the citrus and slight gourmand notes. In fact it’s perfect for our awful summer here. It’s perfect for chilling out in my air-conditioned apartment, drinking a cold, refreshing citrus drink, and eating icecream under my favourite fluffy mink blanket… if I have to suddenly rush off outside. It’s cool and casual but interesting. The only thing is that I wish it would last longer. On skin lasts less than 30 mins, on fabric a bit longer. It’s best layered with another “cool vanilla” as a base. I sprayed this on an old t-shirt which was previously covered in ‘Swiss Army Snowflower’, and the combination was the closest thing to a winter wonderland I can get here. I wish I could find a similar but much stronger fragrance to this. This is my “I wish I could bathe in this during summer” fragrance. It’s light, fresh and sweet but not cloying in any way. I should’ve bought a second bottle to keep in the fridge!

No reminder of Rio Glow for me. Now Live Luxe Reminds me of Wild Glow but that just goes to show associations are personal and highly subjective. Both Live and Live Luxe took a minute or two to grow on me. Wasn’t wowed on initial wearings. But I’ve come to really appreciate that JLO “vibe” that can be found in her fragrances.. to me it’s that musk and sometimes grapefruit she uses. Glow Platinum I loved right at first spray. I like the idea of showcasing the citrus and having that supported by the fruits. Doubt I have marzipan in any other fume and not sure if I can identify it. I find this one to be refreshing. A nice pick for warm and maybe even hot weather. You have to like grapefruit and I do! Love the contrast it brings and how it brightens up a floral fruity and balances out the sweetness. So,this isn’t so for you if you just want sweet. Not tropical but you could think of it that way in terms of when and how to wear it. I wouldn’t save it only for cold weather and, frankly, don’t know if grapefruit would be a colder temp pick for me. Again .. subjective. Really really glad JLO made Live Platinum. As I tend to say about her perfumes .. this one is mature but also modern and fun. By mature I mean it isn’t ever going to be over the top and too girly girly.

i was really curious about this perfume and so i tried it, i like it. I want to try it in the winter time because they say it’s a winter perfume, so maybe in the winter the notes will come through more….i mostly get a strong citrus opening…i smell citrus ,,,,no plum and just a very slight vanilla scent…i wish it was a little stronger…its weak and seems to fade away quickly…i will try it in the winter and see how it goes. im glad i bought it, it really is a good smelling perfume.

Warning: Odd Review!
I do get the icy blast on the initial spray, which I feel is a genius introduction. But when the citrus fades and the frosted florals (which I can barely recognize) are gone, I get the reminiscent aroma fruity pebbles and sugary milk. Oddly, this drydown appeals to me.
Snuggling up in my warm blanket, on a cold morning, watching Sunday cartoons as I enjoy my favorite bowl of cereal.
This is a limited edition fragrance, and I recently ordered off amazon
({5.15.2016} yes, a blind buy) and I’m assuming I received an old bottle of Live..I think the marzipan aged significantly, giving the fragrance a much deeper and creamier vibe.
All in all, this is a dreamy, enchanting fragrance. If a child can imagine what the White Witch from the Chronicles of Narnia smells like..it would be this.
I like wearing this on a late, brisk, casual & innocent nights with friends.
The silage is moderate. I’ll give it 7/10.

Live Platinum is a floral-fruity with a huge dose of grapefruit, but the underlying sweetness is oddly nutty and creamy. I suppose that’s the marzipan playing its role; however, the marzipan isn’t something I can necessarily pick out individually. Either way, the creaminess seems to tame the citrusy aspect as well as give a nicely added twist. I really don’t know if I should call this sparkly or comforting, it’s a mixture of both. Platinum definitely has the winter, cold weather feel.
I didn’t expect to enjoy Live Platinum as much as I do, especially since I did not like the other two in the Live collection at all. I honestly don’t even know what it is I like so much about this one, besides the adorable bottle and snowflake charm(!), but I have to say it, this is on my love list. It will probably work well in the spring, too. Longevity and projection are both moderate on me.
Update: Easily wearable all year round. It’s about 80f degrees here and it still works. I’d like to buy the Rio Glow version (which is said to be the same scent only cheaper and easier to find) to wear when the weather turns scorching.

I searched high and low for this fragrance and when I finally found it online I was over the moon. It was a blind buy, based on the notes I thought I would LOVE it. Unfortunately, it’s just meh. I’m glad I got it because it probably would have remaining on that elusive unicorn list forever.

Live Platinum, oh how I am so happy you were created! This is by far my most prized fragrance in my collection! It’s absolutely beautiful! I can smell no resemblance between this and the other “Live” perfumes. To me this is a very complex and well made perfume! I get all notes, and all three transitions! It’s definitely a winter scent, but I could see people wearing it during any season! It’s just a beautiful floral fragrance! The marzipan adds a little candy sweetness that I love in this fragrance! The rose is soft and inviting! The bottle is beautiful, and the charm is adorable! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone! I think a must have in any collection!

LIVE PLATINUM is similar to the original Live at first spray, but the citrus notes have been played down and mixed with sweeter plum notes. I love how the sweet and the sharper notes have been blended together for a jolty contrast, making sure that the fragrance doesn’t learn either way too far.
LIVE PLATINUM also contains a floral heart. Like Glow, there is a sharp fresh vibe in the floral notes to give the fragrance a fresh, icy jolt of energy. But this time there is Christmas rose for a hint of powderiness, and the marzipan also develops and adds a nutty sweetness to create a ‘come closer’ appeal to things.
The gentle base is the same as the original Live, but the musk, vanilla and amber is slightly more noticeable here as the marzipan mixes together with the notes and gives them a bit more strength. The base gives the last few hours of LIVE PLATINUM a warm feel.
I think LIVE PLATINUM has the edge over Live as it is easier to wear. I still really like the spiciness of the original, but the contrasts in this between the sweet & warmth, versus the freshness appeals to me more.
It’s a shame this is a limited edition, I wish I’d bought more bottles for backups when I saw it in the US a few years ago. I’ll have to haunt Ebay for it in the not-too-distant future…

I was elated to find this for $19! I blind bought it and was so happy when I smelt it at home. If snow had a scent, this is what I imagine it would smell like. Soft, sweet & luscious. The marzipan is what stands out to me, it’s almost like baking sweet Christmas goodies on a cold, rainy day. It’s interesting to have a winter scent that is a fruity-floral. Usually you’ll have a floral or musky-woodsy composition, but this is unique in that sense, and works well. The rose & plum give it a warmth & depth, whilst the grapefruit keeps it fresh. I love how it still has JLo’s signature ‘soapy’ scent in there too. The bottle is gorgeous and it’s a cute little charm for your Christmas tree that comes with it. Glad I blind bought this one!

The perfume : is fresh sweet, not sugar syrup sweetness it is more fresh fruity floral sweetness which they are mixed so good with great harmony … It is not gourmand perfume , it is soft tender , if i want to describe it correctly , it is Christmas in the bottle , suitable for winter day after a heavy rain/snow… actually it is very good perfume.as a gift (10/10)

A surprisingly complex, more sophisticated fruity-floral.
My goodness I was surprised at how much this fragrance grew on me. At first blast this was sharp, fresh and fruity, and admittedly a little screechy as I was not expecting it to present itself that way being a previous user of the Live and Live Luxe. I was immediately reminded of (gasp!) the beloved/dreaded infamous Giorgio Beverly Hills. Upon checking, I see that they have 6 notes in common, and being that Live Platinum only has 10 notes I can see how I may have picked that out….
WAIT! DON’T RUN AWAY!
This becomes gorgeous. The grapefruit is clear, fresh and vibrant. I wish the marzipan was more evident to my nose but I know it’s in there, giving a smoother, more mellow feel. The florals offer a lovely balance to the very prominent grapefruit, the rose especially I can pick out. This is delicious, crisp, vibrant and makes me happy. It’s rather unique, and I really wish there were more options to buy (cream, etc) but alas the beauties are often limited or discontinued, such as this one.
Towards the drydown there is an hour or so that it reminds me of a very fresh clean laundry detergent smell. This is *not* a bad thing, in fact I rather enjoyed it. Who doesn’t want to smell clean and fresh?
The very tail end of the drydown is the same white musky/amber/vanilla as in other JLo’s, mind you the grapefruit does remain throughout. This is fine, complimentary to the fragrance as a whole, and it does take it’s time getting there. Good quality for the price.
Headache risk: Moderate but entirely worth it.
Use with a gentle hand and discretion in the workplace, on a sunny day, or any time you’d like a sunny, pretty pick-me-up.

Wow! I love this because all of the notes melt together to contribute to one of the richest, most full bodied fragrances that I have ever had the pleasure to wear on my skin. This is nothing like any other JLO perfume. It is not too sweet, and yet you can pick out the plum, and marzipan, but none of the notes ever overpowers, and none of them stands alone.
It is a very sophisticated scent, a bit more serious and grown up than other celebrity scents.
I see how this is more of a winter scent, since there is something in it that brings to mind a holly berry note. Anyway, it is a lovely, classy fragrance for someone who doesn’t want to smell like a gourmand dessert.

This is quite pretty. It starts out with a burst of citrus which then calms when the flowers come through not long after and then it warms up a little when it dries down. It’s not a head turner kind of fragrance and will probably not attract many compliments (it’s quite light) but it does have a nice vibe.

This has a very lemony citrus vibe. A departure from J Lo’s warmer perfumes of the past. It definitely has the sweet marzipan which is bizzare for JLo but never mind. It doesn’t last anywhere near as well as her other ones. It is in the same vain as D&G Light Blue, Anna Sui Secret Wish, Mariah Luscious Pink. It is citrus but musky as well. Inoffensive but can be difficult to find. I like it and I would use it again but I don’t see it very often in Australia so I could take or leave it because I already have Luscious Pink by Mariah and Secret wish so I wouldn’t need to bother. If you like those perfumes you may like this one it would be similar though if you already have some citrus perfumes kind of a waste of time.

that the perfume will not smell good, but it did smell good, very good! It was small and not in every store I could find it. I can’t understand that nobody I know have this perfume, they have’nt even seen it.

When I smell Live Platinum in the bottle it is nice scent with sweet marzipan note. But on my skin all I can smell throughout the day is citrus. That’s all. No other notes. I’m not happy about it. I would love to smell marzipan on my skin but it’s not there.
One day it even seemed to smell like hair dye on me. And on the other days it’s just the grapefruit. No J.Lo for me anymore. At least when it comes to the perfumes I’ll stick to Britney.

this is a autumn/winter scent. I’ve tried it in warmer weather, but it doesn’t have the same energizing rush and is quite cloying i guess .

The bottle is the same as original Live, but it’s prismatic (similar to the way patrol shines varying shades in the light) with frosted blue, green, gold & lilac, plus it has a cute snowflake charm around the bottle neck in a feminine touch .. i do LUVE it

This smells similar to secret wish by anna sui and dolce gabbana light blue or a mixture of the two. It is very nice but I have trouble smelling it. Maybe it works better in the warm weather as it is cold here in Melbourne Australia. I will have to test it in the summer to see if it improves.

I love this scent!! And something does make it smell icy! In the opening I definitely smell the plum the Orangeblossom which I dig in a couple of j lo scents 🙂 along with the rose! The drydown is slightly cedar- musky for me 🙂 this scent is sweet but not strong. I see myself wearing it for the winter. It’s refreshing that’s why I am wearing it right now on this hot day. It just works! I already bought myself 2nd bottle! Yaa

Well, I love the bottle so much but the scent is something like ice flake from the refrigerator. I smell something like peach also which makes me feel sick everytime I wear this. The lasting power is too good for me. As time passed, the smell is stronger and stronger. I didn’t feel the flower notes at all, only ice and peach.

Last year this was my favourite winter fragrance. At first I could hardly smell it, it seemed too light, later (perhaps as the weather got warmer) I could smell it stronger. I am quite attracted to the plum, grapefruit and marzipan notes. Maybe this scent creates the same nice feeling in the winter, as Miami Glow creates in the summer. (I don’t know that one, though I’m really curious, it’s so much praised.)

I bought this on a whim, unsniffed. I hadn’t tried either Live or Live Luxe so this purchase was purely random.
When I first sprayed it, it reminded me of an Innoxa body cream that I use. Not a repulsive scent, but an odd fragrance. My immediate thoughts were, “I like it, but I don’t love it”.
However, wearing this fragrance a couple more times, and since looking up the notes, this scent has grown on me.
I don’t smell the marzipan in the top notes, but I do smell the grapefruit (which is strong and citrusy at first, but mellows) and the plum. The heart of this fragrance is quite delicate and pretty with the blended notes of rose, orange blossom and heliotrope.
I think the bottle and the overall theme of a snowflake is well suited to this fragrance. The scent is indeed fresh, crisp and wintry. It would also work well as a mood-lifter in sharp and cruel weather due to its sweet and light hints of fruit.
The lasting power probably isn’t going to blow you away, and the sillage isn’t really strong, however I quite like that this fragrance is intimate and soft, it is more pleasant that way.
For people thinking of trying this fragrance, hurry because it’s a limited edition and could disappear very soon.

My first thought is mango but i guess it’s the marzipan and plum combo.I instantly caught the scent of the strong and sweet notes in it.

not at all what I expected, since I wished it to be a nice, warm and a little sweet perfume. Welll, it is somewhat sour and very fresh, I can hardly distinguish any of all ingredients, except lemon, and later on, just a hint of plum. No nice powdery tones, at least on my skin. The first spray is very sour and fresh, very strong, but that doesn’t last for very long, then it becomes a bit softer and more bearable, it, kind of, gets a little sweeter by the end, but not much. It has a lot of its sisters from the Live family, but is not as alive and definitely not as sparkly and juicy, it is much calmer and much more serious. Anyway, the bottle is an extremely adorable piece of art, so even if you don’t like the scent, you can keep the bottle like something magical-reminds me of those legends, where people used to collect tears in small bottles, well, I would say, they must have looked like this

i am really looking forward to experienceing live platinum. the notes sound very intriging and the original live happens to be one of my all time favorites. it will be interesting to see how the notes work with one another. i cant wait to see the bottle in person. the live bottle is just one of the most interesting,fun,and beautiful bottles i own.
