Description
The French house of L’Occitane has presented its brand new collection of eau de cologne – EAUX DE PROVENCE at the Perfume Expo in Dusseldorf. The collection encompasses three fragrances: Eau Ravissante, Eau Universelle and Eau Captivante. The fragrances are ideal for the warmer season; they are refreshing, luminous, optimistic and available in two versions of flacons.
Citrusy fragrance Eau Universelle from the new L’Occitane collection is a unisex edition created of bergamot, grapefruit, geranium and woody accords. It has been characterized as a citrusy-aromatic and is available as 50 and 300ml cologne fraiche. Color of fluid is light yellow.
Eau Universelle was launched in 2012.

It’s a good summer, post-morning shower scent that has no longevity. The geranium gives this light citrus an edge of difference from the other clean, fresh, light citruses out there, so it could skew a smidge masculine but not much. I do like the Art Deco in Miami style bottle, though.

I really wish if they could make an intense version of this scent. I love it!

I had always wanted to try this from the moment it came out along with Ravissante and Captivante, thinking that I would for sure like this one; considering that it was the Citrus one in the family of Waters of Provence.
I was finally able to purchase it in the Winter Sale. I bought it along with Captivante, thinking that perhaps I might enjoy it as well.
When the fragrances arrived, Universelle’s bottle was broken, so the scent leaked out of the bottle into it’s box, reeking the box where it arrived with it’s brother.
I contacted L’occitane and told them what had happened, knowing that items in the sale could not be returned or exchanged. Thankfully, they were able to replace the cologne with one of the same.
Seeing what had transpired, I thought to myself, that perhaps the fragrance wouldn’t smell so bad after the replacement arrived, and I would be able to actually try it, and smell it the way it was supposed to. Unfortunately, I was wrong. It smelled just as bad, and not any different.
This is an absolutely disgusting fragrance! It’s probably the worst scent of L’occitane that I have ever smelled (and I thought Rose 4 Reines was bad).
Do yourself a favor and purchase something else. I am glad that L’occitane is discontinuing this.

Just picked this wonderful fragrance up at the Loccitane store and it was a great buy. Smell so fresh and clean. With a great citrus note for summer.

To me it smells like lemons, salt, vodka with a touch of geranium. It is not overly strong but I can still smell it on myself after 4 hours. It is perfect for hot weather when you feel like something refreshing. I can’t say this scent is overly unique but I still enjoy wearing it at least once a week. It smells like summer in Europe

Sure it doesn’t last , but this is just an Eau de Cologne , it’s not supposed to stay all day long. It’s the kind of thing you can wear after your evening shower on summer.
It is very very refreshing and citrusy .

very light and very fresh, disappears in one hour. It’s a nice fragrance for hot days. Is really unissex we both at home are wearing it. It’ll be my summer signature this year.
mida kansan – :
My new morning fragrance, it makes me smile and be happy to begin my day. Light and fresh, but no staying power alone, a couple hours maximum. Nonetheless, it is a bright blast of bergamot and verbena and well worth it.
leksema26 – :
A short-lived blast of slightly bitter citrus….then nothing…

too weak to defend itself! and the one for women is even weaker. I am somewhat dissappointed..
