Ideotoliede – :
A good, clean Lavender. Not too “Male” or sickly sweet. Doesn’t smell like clean sheets or laundry detergent but has a very subtle sweetness that wears close to the skin, latterly. It isn’t a very herbal Lavender. Lavender is difficult because it can be too herbal and “hippy” or too clinical and “fabric softener”. I also don’t believe one should spend too much on a Lavender fragrance since one ought to be able to find the right, cheap cologne. The simplicity of Lavender with this regard is essential. There is an elegant simplicity to it, both conceptually and and in its heritage as a fundamental scent of the home. This one is resoundingly very balanced and importantly, relaxing and fresh as Lavender should be. Projects loud at first but quietens down to a smooth dry down, quite rapidly. Doesn’t last very long but I like how the focus on cologne is in the experience of application and so it can be regularly reapplied throughout the day and enjoyed within its limited timespan. Given the price and size of bottle, this does not feel an extravagance. Good value and surprisingly sophisticated for the kind of thing you can pick up in a Parisian Supermarket. I keep a bottle in my bathroom and put it on before bed or when I’m going out for a long walk with no makeup and sunglasses on. A good fragrance for alone times when you want to feel cosy and cool.
