For me it’s a skin scent, but it’s so nice and pleasing that I would recommend to blind buy it anyway. Hey, you won’t get broke from spending 10$ on 100ml bottle. Which if heavy and cool by the way. Maybe it’s about skin chemistry. This one is heavy alcohol based, you can smell that on harsh opening
мент – :
so skin scent or what? Too many conflicting views on this
vitaliy1972 – :
Definitely not “extremely masculine” as it is claimed, but totally unisex, sits extremely close to skin, no projection, type of cozy mega-tamed baby-oud with a patch, a bit of resin and cardamom. Too European oud – no personality like, not interesting to me, I prefer way stronger ouds. Will be likeable though by ppl, who prefer simple, sweet “ouds” . It is carrying- own-aura scent.
Performance and silage are next to ZERO on my skin with all my sympathy to admirers and I Am not the only one who says so about Iceberg fragrances of this line. Usually I am the last in the line for longevity complains.
If to scroll via reviews on Sandalwood, Amber, Sensual Musk – ppl complain on poor longevity and it is not even one hour – I would say 20 mins the most. Try to spray on clothes, seems to work better that way. Or on hair, if you have got long ones)

ICEBERG OUD REAL NOTES:
Top Notes………….Ginger, Cardamom, Elemi resin
Heart Notes……….Cistus creticus absolute, Saffron, Egyptian
geranium absolute
Base Notes………..Oud, Indonesian patchouli, Nagarmotha
Майя – :
It is a really discreet oud and safron scent with ginger opening. Opening seems to be unisex but it is quite masculine scent. It is subtle and not overwhelming fragrance for those who want to start their adventure with oud. In my opinion the longevity is around 4 hours.
As I mentioned before it is not a beast- appropriate for daily use. For its price it is worth a try.

I don’t know if this is an hidden gem or if people just don’t associate Oud with the Iceberg brand. It is very classy, almost discrete and very pleasant.
This is indeed a precious fragrance. The oud note is very well tamed and blended with the saffron and patchouli, in a trail opened by ginger and cardamom. There is a sweet touch in the background that only serves the purpose of making this fragrance more agreable.
Versatility is quite high for an oud fragrance due to its subtle scent. It’s almost perfect for all seasons (a bit less in the summer), day and night, and everywhere where you may use a very well behaved oud cologne. Performance is above average for this type of price, showing the quality of the ingredients that have been used. The bottle is quite nice (not so much the plastic cap) and the sprayer is very good.
Let’s see the maths for Iceberg Oud:
– Scent opening: 8.0 (very good – my judgement)
– Scent dry down: 7.5 (very pleasant but faint)
– Longevity: 7.5 (6~7 hours + with 3 sprays)
– Sillage: 7.0 (more than 4 feet for 3 hours with 3 sprays; projects for 2 hours); practical skin scent till the 7th hour.
– Uniqueness: 8.0 (not really unique but unique for this price)
– Wearability: 8.5 (very high for an oud based fragrance)
– Versatility: 8.0 (very high for an oud based fragrance).
– Quality: 8.0 (my judgement)
– Presentation: 8.0 (discrete but nice)
– Price: 10.0 (100 ml for 13 Euros in ShowroomPrivé)
Average: 8.05 / 10.00
In my top 5? No but highly ranked anyway..
Will I buy it again? Yes for sure.
Is there a similar Oud fragrance I like as much or as little as Iceberg Oud ? Yes, Ettienne Aigner Number 1 Oud.
Will I recommend it? a big YES due to the scent, versatility and price.

Why this fragrance is so inexpensive … it baffles me. This is one of the best fragrances I’ve ever smelt.
Classy, exquisite and perfect
Absolutely fantastic.
This is better than most Niche fragrances out there.

short; it is Van Gil’s Live fragrance but ways better quality. Detailled; extremely nice rough male fragrance. Nothing like 100% oud but a mix of several rough spices, patchouli & I guess some oud (I hate the pure oud smell). Not alike but definitily in the family of Yves Saint Laurent’s gorgeous M7. Iceberg ‘s versions is ways better comparing to Van Gill’s. The fragrance itself does smell the same but Iceberg’s versions will stay for hours on your clothes if spayed properly like an eau de toilette must be while Van Gill’s wil vanish within a couple of hours. This is not a fresh teen’s fragrance. Look at the ad for Van Gill’s Live fragrance. See that very masculine beared man? Pretty much the best way to describe this gorgeous fragrance. Extremely masculine, very attractive, classy but not poshy. you might take a few hours to get use to this kind of smell if not familiar with this kind but you will end loving it if being or liking what is very masculine & rough but nice. Definitily worth a try, especially for its ridiculous low price you can grab it for nowadays. It has become my favourite mystery fragrance since M7 is not being produced no more. Unfortunately:-(
ExStRemaL – :
A very cheap one when it comes to it’s price. I found the 100ml bottle on discount, for 11 euro. At first sniff you get mostly ginger, geramium and oud (in that order). It doesn’t develop too much. Has a limited lasting power but for it’s price it is a great deal to wear on a short walk or a casual hangout with friends.
Aubrey_fromAF – :
A little too much ginger and too less oud for a perfume based on oud. But I think it smells good anyway.
shnabis – :
It is an ok scent starting out with a zingy ginger followed by a watered out “oud”……..its quite fleeting and on my skin more or less gone in under 4 hours. It works as an initiation to an “oudy” world but not much interrest for one already initiated.

This sounds awesome. How can I get my hands on this?? For me it has top, middle and base notes I really love. Jason G 052913
