I’ve seen many threads on fragrance boards with people asking for the perfect musk. To my nose, this is it. I’ve tried dozens of musks, and I always keep coming back to Dragon’s Musk. When first applied, this oil seems to be all Dragon’s Blood and borderline “too floral.” But within about 10 minutes, it mellows out to a rich, sexy, incensey, bright musk. It is the sort of fragrance that has great sillage and surrounds you in a cloud of sweet, comforting, sexy musk. The musk in this blend is not soapy, white, Egyptian…it’s more like a deep, dark musk. But when I say “dark musk,” I’m not talking something overly animalic, like Lutens’ Muscs Kublai Khan or Madini Musk Gazelle. No. It’s not stinky. It just smells wonderful, and if you like musks, you really have to try this. There’s a slight “Ren Faire” vibe to this musk, but it does not smell “headshoppy” or hippie-ish. You do have to try it on your skin before deciding if it’s for you, because it smells stronger and more floral in the vial than it does when it dries down on your skin. I have received more compliments on this fragrance than almost anything else I own. I wear it regularly and have gone through many bottles.

For anyone who has never smelled Dragon’s Blood Resin…the best way to describe it would be…a very heady incensey floral smell. In the Black Phoenix Pefumes it’s pretty potent.
I never thought I’d like this as much as I do!!!
Dragon’s Milk is the numerno Uno of this section. And up until now, Dragon’s Heart was the other contender…this has taken over Heart…but not Milk…oh no!!
This is a lovely musky..very “Indian perfume oil” smelling blend. Much more than the other Dragon’s Blood blends. I wish I knew the 5 musks..but..no. Although I’d probably hazard a guess at Indian Musk hehe.
The musks change the Dragon’s Blood considerably, Dragon’s Blood smells quite floral sometimes..but this is very very deep and sexy indeed and I really want a bottle of this for sure.
