Description

The house of fine and luxurious lingerie La Perla presents its new fragrance in 2011, a symbol of femininity and sensuality called Divina. Divina is a seductive, elegant and sophisticated fragrance of flirtation, completely in tune with the brand’s image. The composition develops as a bouquet of flowers and sweet fruity notes, capturing all the beauty and exuberance of Italian gardens.

The fragrance opens with euphoric fusion of Calabrian mandarin, pear, strawberries and champagne, which give a touch of glamour to the composition. The heart is a vibrant bouquet made from fresh orange blossoms, roses and jasmine. The base notes are warm and captivating due to vanilla, ambergris, blonde woods bark and crystal musk.

The round, pearly bottle is made of polished, smooth glass and colored in delicate pink shades. The perfume is available as Eau de Toilette in quantities of 30, 50 and 80 ml.

I don’t get any strawberry or pear from this really….I do get bright champagne, orange flower, vanilla, amber and a nice musky drydown. The opening is a bit harsh but thankfully that only lasts about 3 minutes before it warms up and becomes a much nicer fragrance. It’s a long lasting, grown up fruity floral and is quite affordable. The bottle is pretty and looks classy, all in all this was money well spent.

Well hello. This is quite interesting. I feel as though I’ve smelt it before, but I’ve also not smelt anything like it. Very bizarre indeed. Fruity, mainly strawberry and pear, and an almost overwhelming powderiness. Strange.
I don’t like the dry down, though

This is a nice surprise, its sweet, flirty but chic. Its a youg sophisticated woman who is bright, beautiful, comfident. Its a everyday scent, smells like a strawberry cocktail. Its bubbly and clean. I think its a great transition scent if you are comming from celebrity fruity florals and you want something fun but a little bit more expenssive smelling but not pretentious. This reminds me a bit of Givenchy Hot Couture for its cheeky and flirtatious character.

This is my Biggest-Strawberry-Dissapointment so ever :-/ Love strawberry in any way, but where is it in this perfume? I couldn’t find. Unfortunately.

i was really wanting to love divina. sweet fizziness but it only lasted 5 mins on me too. i may as well put it away for spring and summer to see if it wears better then. it’s winter in australia.
update. it’s now spring and a warm 25 degrees and just like J’Aime, Divina is coming to the party. i can still smell faint wafts 6 hours later. still not a love but i like that i can smell it now.

Contradicting my last review… I found this 50ml on sale for £15(!) and decided to buy it again, as I love these sweet, light and floral perfumes.
It smells delicious, definitely agree with the strawberry shortcake analogy but it is very light, in the sense you smell it on you but it won’t attack the person standing next to you. I smell sugar, strawberries, a bit of fizz from the champagne which makes it sophisticated.
I would say this is a perfect office scent for a girl in her early twenties, or a casual summer day in a white dress.

This lasted 5 mins on me 🙁 it’s a shame because I love the opening and it would have been perfect had it left a drydown of soft sweetness. If only…

One of my favorites! i smell sparkeling champagne mixed with strawberry and cream at first, but after awhile, i get a sunny mandarin smell. very fresh and frooty feeling to it. like sitting in a garden with your lover, eating strawberries and drinking champagne. girly and sexy at the same time.

A gift from dear fragrantica – kiss to Greece
Its joyful and endearing feminine scent, – a smiling young woman in cute nighty – intimate atmosphere – two champagne flutes, dish with strawberries, – playful and romantic.
Very delicate fizzy champagne-fruity smell at the beginning, settles wonderfully on the clothes, soft musk, vanilla-pear blended with wood, its not strong but distinctive enough, from cons – too transparent base, thats why I do recommend to wear it on clothes – lasts longer than on skin and feels appealing enough to have a smile while wearing it.

Rather boring and usual I’d say. Not bad but that’s all, it’s ok. It is also very light.

Released in 2011, this fragrance brought the mix of sensuality and flirtation, through the image of the woman who knows how to enjoy a nice glass of champagne accompanied by her lover, in their most intimate moments.
It is a floral-fruity, with sweet and fresh aspect at the same time. It has notes of strawberry, pear, Mandarin orange and champagne accord, in the output; Roses, orange flower cream and jasmine, in the heart; Amber crystals, musk, Woods and vanilla, at the base.
When sprayed, gives the feeling of being just another female perfume, nothing innovative, even more for a masculine nose. But this feeling gives way to the undeniable quality that reveals itself over time.
That’s when the floral part begins to emerge and the jasmine gives the touch of greater presence.
For all the time, it is possible to feel two notes at the end, struggling to emerge, as if they were inside a lake, swimming hard until they reach the surface: musk and vanilla. About 40 minutes later, the orange blossom dominates and tell a new story. An impressive change!
Finally, what remains is the floral tone, with a light touch of wood and a very creamy Vanilla. No longer exudes as at the beginning, but it’s still notable. Moreover, it has great durability on the skin.
As the name says, is divine!

I can smell the champagne and the other top notes very well, the rest of the notes are there too, not as strong though. Would not say it is a floral fruity, more of a floral. I had a full bottle of this that i used up just too get rid of it since no one wanted to have it in my place. The sillage and longvity was really good, so if you want a good high class perfume i can recomend this 🙂

Dull and rather sweet I’m afraid. The top notes are tangy floral, but it settles quickly to a sweet fruity and girlish note that reminds me of strawberry shortcake. There’s a sugary fresh cookie scent in there. Its a very soft fragrance with no longevity. Its not unpleasant, but its boring and one dimensional. To me, this is an innocent, young, girlish scent for summer days and there’s nothing that says luxury, seduction or sophistication. Not for me.

On my skin it smells very girly, sweet, soft and feminine. A candy like sweetness with some roses, but after a while I can smell only candy sweetness with a hint of strawberries.

  16. :

    5 out of 5

Very, very soft fragrance. It barely develops on my skin, even if it is quite nice. I personally prefer a bit stronger scents.
First notes are quite promising, soft fruity and playful, but later I can smell only very light jasmine. Not my cup of coffee, but if someone likes very delicate scents, should try this one.

  17. :

At first it smells beautiful with lots of happy, ultra-feminine notes… but then it turns cheap… It turns from classy to teenage-only-thing-I-could-afford quite fast. Do not like 🙁 It would be the guys equivalent to having beer goggles and meeting this beautiful woman, begin talking to her and continue for some time. Then the beer goggles begin to disappear and he sees that the beautiful woman really is just a teenager with runny red lipstick, overly teased hair and her mothers glittery dress, that is a tad too big around the boobs.
I think it’s the strawberry note that mainly ruins this – it smells quite synthetic and a little sour to me. I’m not sure about the champagne note either though. I do smell the rose well, but I don’t quite like such sweet rose. There are some good, warm undertones to it, but when you have the fresh strawberry and the champagne layered on top it’s like watching a movie in a theatre with the curtains open half way. These notes stay too long for this perfume to be worth wearing for me.

  18. :

This is a slightly sweet, rather balmy, and very soapy scent on my skin. Soapy is possibly my most despised note, and I’m not a fan of the top note strawberry either, yet I tried to give this perfume a chance and wore it twice. Each time I realized that I was on the verge of wanting to vomit and I’m not being facetious!
I can’t say I can smell any vanilla or rose, which is a shame as those are among my favourite notes and they would have greatly improved this fragrance.
I’m generally drawn to perfumes that make a statement, and this one just has nothing worthwhile to say. I imagine a well-dressed airhead at a party opening her mouth to contribute to a conversation and all that comes out is: “Goo goo ga ga”.

  19. :

    3 out of 5

I was rather disappointed in this one. The scent is not unpleasant it is just very synthetic and generic fruity floral in the topnotes. After a few hours it finally dries down to a pleasant scent balanced by the musk and wood and smells more natural. But I’m not sure I can bear 2 hours of synthetic strawberry rose scent to get to a pleasant but not awe-inspiring drydown.

I just purchased the 50ml for $25.00 at my local Winners Store here in Canada. WOW!! What a great blind buy! (and price!) This was recommended out of a few fumes on here from my fellow fragranticans.. and a big thank you bc I really like it!!! So girly, fresh, sweet and floral all at the same time.. and stays near the skin.. Wish there was a matching lotion to make the scent stick around longer… Oh well will just have to re-apply !! 🙂
Edit: I actually mixed this with Escada’s Ocean Lounge (sweet strawberry) Sooo nice together! 🙂

Delicious stuff! One of the most girly perfumes I have ever smelled. There are no rough edges, nothing complicated, and nothing too delicate either. I smell strawberries, rose, and citrus mixed with a sour sort of sweaty skin sex quality, but then the vanilla and musk comes out and it dries down to something warm, milky and creamy. Victoria Secret Angel Sexy. Those who love Miss Dior (cherie) and the like will absolutely love this. This is strictly a Spring and Summer fragrance as it absolutely blooms in warm air, and lasts the entire day and night on skin.

Pink rose and jasmine floral with vanilla, strawberries and soft musk.
    Young and girly.
Slight resemblance to KM’s Pink Sparkle…… Divina’s more of a soft floral whereas Pink Sparkle is fizzier and champagne’s more pronounced. Here I only smell it at initial spray.
Reapply often, got 2 hours out of it. Wish it had more power to it.
    Anyone’s thoughts on edp version?

I’m a divvil for blind buys, this is a very successful one!
Bought this on the back of reviews below and note votes. I seemed to have guessed it right on how it would smell. :-)It actually smells even better than I thought!
To me this is a very fresh scent, like Dolce Gabbanas L’Imperatrice’s older but quieter sister with a headier rose note.
My skin eats fragrances and I have to experiment a little bit with body butters, oils and lotions to keep my scents on (sillage monsters like Tom Ford’s Black Orchid disappear within 4 hours on me)… so this one I suspected wouldn’t last more than 2 hours…but…
3 hours in and I still get a very nice, warm and actually quite sharp but not disturbingly so champagne note mixed with a bit of strawberry and a touch of sandalwood (perhaps vanilla?? definitely not gourmand vanilla though).
I bought this as an office scent and it totally is but I’m now also thinking I would LOVE to wear this out, just reapply a few times during the night. Due to the bottle’s unfussiness, my 30ml will fit in my going-out-purses, no problem!
I’m very happy with this and it goes straight into my favourites!
    4/5
Edit: ended up giving it away. That metallic note turned up on my skin….eeeek. (aluminum in teeth note I like to call it). Sad but what can you do.

I love this perfume, I tried it in John Lewis and have been obsessing about it ever since. It is so warm, floral and reminds me of Benefit Bathina products and Sexy Little Thingss Ooh La La by Victoria’s secret as it’s quite sensuous. The sort of perfume I can imagine in a glamorous bombshell’s boudoir, adorning the dressing table. Kind of in the same group as Benefit Maybe Baby perfume, with the champagne note and fruit, but Divina is more ‘rosey’. It’s loverly 🙂

This was so perfect! just by reading the notes I had a hunch this would be the one for my sister for x-mas. So I blind bought this through amazon @ a fantastic price (29.50) for a 1.7oz…&& it’s absolutely wonderful it smells so like her, this is something she’d deff. wear. It’s nice clean fresh feminine fruity-floral I did just a spray on my hand to test it out && I can not stop smelling it ugh thank you hunch, thank you parfum 1 for being so inexpensive, && thank u Divina for smelling so wonderfully right! 🙂

I love it! I’m amazed that it glides so well with the Body Shop Shea Body Butter Keratie! I was worried that my cream will spoil the smell of the perfume for me cuz I really love the cream as it keeps my skin very soft and I wasn’t going to stop using it just because this perfume wasn’t working with it! But to my surprise the perfume is so close to the skin smell but with floral soft smell that I know I’ll be addicted to smelling it on me for a long time!

Divina didn’t sound promising to me: the notes are not quite original, the bottle is boring, the promo shot is not the best one I’ve seen.
But, I decided to try it on impulse and I can’t say I regret. This fragrance may indeed not be the most original thing ever, but still it’s neatly composed.
It’s feminine – sweet, soapy, but also somewhat playful and mischievous. All in a moderate, tender way though. I love how close to the skin and intimate it feels.

Notes as stated on manufacturer’s sample:
    ”TOP
    Garden of the Hesperides Calabria
    Wild Strawberry
    Pear Granita
    Champagne Accord
    MID
    Rose Bouquet
    Orange Blossom Cream
    Water Jasmine
    DRY
    Musk Serenolide
    Amber Crystals
    Blond Wood
    Vanilla”
This is a wonderful fruity floral in my opinion. Wild strawberry tends to make perfumes smell quite childish and overly sweet, but here it is really nicely balanced by slightly sour, sparkly champagne which seems to keep all the sweet notes in order so they don’t become overly cloying.
The middle notes and drydown don’t make this really original. After all jasmine, rose and orange blossom are no novelty, and neither are woods, vanilla, musk and amber. However, the origiality of this fragrance lays in the fact that the ingredients used are clearly of good quality and are beautifully blended. Most fruity florals smell cheap, or ‘messy’ or most frequently both at once. This is not the case in here, at least in my experience.
So the sparkly, fruity opening doesn’t really leave for a few hours. It just gets softened by the gradually unravelling floral notes. Then it finally gives up and the base notes start slowly pushing the heart notes off the pedestal. It’s all smooth and well balanced. For some reason I just don’t pay attention to the fact that there are no particularly interesting and captivating notes in here. It’s all about the proportions of each ingredient used to blend this potion, which give it this smoothness and high quality touch.
Not a ground-breakig fruity floral, but finally a bloody well-made one!

Bought this unsniffed, which is rather stupid thing to do. Unfortunately Divina seems to hate me. It turns very sharp and sour on my skin and gives me a headache. Not what I expected, no strawberries, no rose, just sour unpleasant chemical odour.
Edit: Tried it again and the sour note is gone. Maybe Divina clashed with some other perfume or body cream I was wearing when I tried it for the first time? Now I really like it. Divina is a soft, sweet fruity floral, very feminine and pretty.

God, I really love this perfume. It’s great and quite unique without being too much of a special snowflake.
When first sprayed on my wrist I can smell a really fruity strawberry-mandarin orange-champagne scent. It calms down quickly, and after only about 10-15 minutes you get to the heart of the perfume which sticks with you till the end.
Once the top notes have faded what I can smell is mostly a warm vanilla, rose, orange flower, musk and amber. I can smell some woodsy notes in the background, but they aren’t very prominent.
The note which interests me the most in this perfume is the rose. I’ve always found real roses to smell like 80s dish soaps. However, this rose scent tastes sweet only at the tip of your tongue. Not at the back of your tongue like the nauseating rose smell I’m familiar with.
Like others have said, the lasting power isn’t very good. You don’t need a lot of this perfume for people to smell it on you, but you need to refresh it quite often. The smell is completely gone on my wrist after only 6 hours. Perfume usually sticks to my skin in such a way that I can smell it vaguely even after 24+ hours. So I’m just going to spray a little of this on every 4 hours or so if I’m going out. It’s quite expensive, but I like the scent enough to buy it despite of the lasting power being poor.

I like the smell of this fragrance…it seems sort of carefree to me. It has a simple sweetness to it, not too sweet and it doesn’t stand out but it’s nice. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last long at all. Based on the smell, I would love to have a bottle. I just don’t thinK I will because I am not impressed with the staying power.

  32. :

i liked this scent and bought it… however it is much too light to be worth the price it was… it doesn’t last long at all… not worth the money for its lasting power. I honestly keep respraying all day every hour.

    Oh Divina!
Is truly divine, a sort of sweet divine.. finally i can smell a true strawberry note. Very very femenine, i love it. Its fresh, its lovely, sophisticated without being complicated, a new favorite, i have a travel size mini and i used it for my vacations, and this is the kind of scents i like to be alone and surrounded by it, therefore its my next buy.

A lovely lady like perfume , the notes can easely be taken for a girly girly perfume , But this is actualy pretty Gown up and sort off powdery. I dont know what makes it that way but i swear , it is powdery. maybe the rosse makes it that way. the strawberrys and champagn i can detect ,Rose for shure some tiny whiff off flowers and citrus .
this to me became a little unberable whit the powdery Strawberry rose thing.. Not to sweet , but there is somthing weard to me .
Delicios yes for shure , but just dont for me .

I tried it at the La Perla corner at La Rinascente, Milano. It is really wonderful! Perhaps the first Italian fragrance that I truly loved! The bottle… *thumbs down*, but the rest worths purchasing it.

I like it very much, from the beginning until the time it fades away.it’s fruity, but doesn’t smell childish or cheap.it’s a very classy day perfume.though the first notes are almost modern, after an hour of spraying it smells very classic, pure rose.
I may get it as my next perfume.it’s the best Perla perfume I’ve tried so far.

  38. :

Not sensational or very original, yet somehow I really enjoy wearing it. Blind buy based on reviews here, description and the notes. The fresh top notes soon disappear, it’s true, and leave behind a warm, modern, not overpowering mild floral/woody/musky trail. It doesn’t seem very strong or have a lot of lasting power, yet leaves a delicious trail of some elusive aroma in any room I’ve fairly recently visited.
Overall, I feel this is a nice, sophisticated, very wearable fragrance suitable for almost any place or occasion.

  39. :

A floral fruity between the lines of d&g imperatrice. Feminine an sweet, though the staying power is so so.. A pity really. Otherwise i could have been very enthousiastic!

  40. :

have bought this frag today. the begining is fresh and light, but it doesn’t last long. Then comes flowers, very sweet, warm and feminine. At the end i feel musk and wood…no vanille at all. The staying power is rather good. I can’t say that it’s something incredible, but the frag is worth paying attantion! I like it!

  41. :

    5 out of 5

I have to add that it doesn’t last long. After 2 hours it’s already completely gone.
PS: After re-testing it and covering me really in it, I guess the lasting power for such a light scent is ok. But I also figured it’s not my kind of scent. The drydown is nicely sweet and if you e.g. like hypnotic poison, this could be for you.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

This one isn’t uninteresting. It is more subtle and tender but not completely vanishing. The start was like jellybeans to me and I wasn’t convinced too much. Now after 1 hour the white flowers come out with a hint of powder. It’s an elegant scent for any occasion, even business and going out. I’m not so sure if I would buy it. I guess I’ll have to test it more often.

  43. :

Disappointing. One is bashed with some ads at bus stops, the bottle and box are alluring, the name… oh, well, ambitious to say the least! Then I smelled the perfume from tester and I felt meh!
What is this? A flat concoction of strawberry, ultra-sweet, fruity frizzy candy. On paper it smells just nice, on my skin it smells sweetish and flat pink candy. La Perla could do better. The lasting power is good.

this perfume smells really nice, but only with the first spritz ! it reminds me a lot of chweing gum from the 90s, i smell strawberries and this bubbly champagne scent, but as for me this is probably too sweet and artificial 😉
tt is good that there is a woody note, because the smell would cause headaches without it, probably 😉
as i said, a nice scent but only for 2-3 hours, than it’s boring and smells very cheap

Floral fruity champagne, joyful strawberry juice, delicate jasmine and rose bouquet, all these elements give to Divina an elegant, cheerful aura, for a sophisticate yet sparkling personality.

I have this and i am really loving it!!! It is truly a scent of strawberries and champagne!!! Very joyful and not over the top sweet. Reminds me of a strawberry ice-cream. Really good fragrance with a bit dissapointing staying power and low sillage! Highly recommended for summer. But you have to spray it a lot to feel it.
