Finally I have found what Sauvage (Dior) was smelling like!

Diesel is the androgynous cousin of D&G femme for me.
It shares that hot geranium marigold (it smells marigold/tagetes actually) that I do not like, give me headache, like a potent car deodorant.
This is a typical Tonka-carnation vs zesty acid note ginger geranium cardamom lemon of the 90s.
Romantic some way laundry. Nice.

Mmmmm spicy!
It opens all ginger, carraway and pepper. It then ambers down to a deep spicy melange with a high jasmine note floating on top. Sillage is huge and sweet. Near the skin it is spicy and deep. The geranium and the carnations add that peppery depth to the florals to balance the sweet sweet jasmine. This is like a sweet incense if that makes sense. A sharp, spicy citrus with warm resinous background and ever so sweet jasmine just floating and surprising you when you move. I love this (have not tried any other Diesel fragrances yet) Is my nose tricking me, nope, there it is again strong jasmine. Ha!

I hate this bad fragrance. Surprised to see this as object of discussions. awful.

Bought this at Nordstrom years ago. Never used it too often. Descent woodsy scent. But nothing to die over. Overall…good scent. Perfect for day or night use in cold or cooler weather.

This is one of the 1st fragrances that I ever purchased so it will always be special to me. Since they stopped making it this has been hard to find (for a reasonable price). Alas, I finally found a site selling this for a decent price. It cost me $36, but when I went back to the website the price was upped to $42.
This scent is supposed to be unisex but with the strong peppery smell in the opening. I can’t imagine a woman wanting to smell like pepper. That being said to me this is a great fragrance that I would recommend to anyone. I’ll probably end up purchasing another bottle pretty soon before they jack up the price any further.

I honestly thought this was a mans scent ,It lasts a good few hours but its not the greatest scent . I know my dad likes it to me its just too synthethic smelling on my skin & it gives ma a headache :(. Ive never been a fan of diesel fragrances ….

Diesel, I still have a few drops into a miniature, I always thought was the scent for men but I have seen in the presentation that is unisex. The fragrance is good and its life, on me 6 hours, is a warm and vaguely oriental fragrance although I must say that it is well mixed, because the scent does not change over the course of hours, but remains unchanged until exhaustion on skin.Similar although less spicy Venezia Uomo by Laura Biagiotti.
It will not be the first step on the moon, but the first review of this fragrance bears my signature, let’s see if I can find no other review …
