Gorgeous, comforting vanilla, caramel orange. I adore it.

On me, Dalal smells like caramel and cloves. Not awful, but not exactly what I expected or want to smell like.

On me, Al-Rehab Dalal does smell a little similar to Viktor & Rolf Bonbon but more wearable and less complicated. I got mostly caramel, vanilla and sandal wood, not so much of orange. And this is the EDP spray, not the oil. Sillage and longevity are quite impressive. The dry down is much better as the caramel note died down and let the wood note come out more. A gentle spray goes a long way and lasts for so long. Otherwise, it could trigger headache to some people with sensitivity. Might be a good idea to layer it with something else more citrusy/orang-y on top. Dalal is totally worth a try for 10 bucks.
I enjoy Al-Rehab Soft better for its fun and uniqueness (Soft and Dalal are different with each other in scents).

I recently bought this because I could no longer find my Perlier VANILLE ORANGE (not to be confused with Perlier’s Caribean Vanilla Orange). This site listed Orange and Vanilla as prominent notes and Al Rehab fragrances are inexpensive enough to give them a shot. Upon receipt I tore into the package hoping for my beloved PVO. Sadly, it didn’t smell anything like it. HOWEVER, it did smell like my, also discontinued, Coty Dark Vanilla, so no harm, no foul!

Ok I’ve been wearing this for a week and time to review. This stuff is good! If you like Prada Candy or something like Truth or Dare Naked but want better sillage than the former, but not as woodsy as the latter, this may be a happy medium. I’m not getting anything super sweet, gooey, or infantile. It’s slightly orange, slightly musk and caramel cream with a gentle sandalwood undertone. While Soft by So Rehab could stun a moose; this one is just polite and pleasant. Choco Musk is rather weak.
Dalal has good projection and sillage but won’t overwhelm.
I like sweetness in my scents but don’t consider myself a gourmand lover. I’ve had a few nice comments. I’m planning on trying Nebras soon but I gave Soft to someone else.
Try So Rehab as they are very affordable, usually good and come in cute rollerball oils. Nothing to be scared of here.

Gabri, because some people like smelling like candy, or tobacco, or green woods or even musk. It’s no weirder than wanting to smell like a musk deer or civet cat. Everyone likes something different.

yeah- you need this juice! its so comforting and just full of deliciousness. on my skin its all caramel and candied fruits. easy to layer this with other like minded frag’s! inoffensive and long lasting. got it for under $7.00 U.S. on ebay.

I reached for this as I got ready for bed. Moisturised then applied the oil.
Beautiful sweet gentle orange candy but tempered by woodiness. Vanilla, caramel and dry wood.
Comforting right now and just what I need to settle me into the night. I love the price tag and many of the Al Rehab oils.

This is probably the most inoffensive, harmless fragrance I have ever smelt. Literally anyone of any age and any gender could wear it. It is really generic but in a polite and wearable way. There is absolutely nothing to love about it but absolutely nothing to dislike about it.

Escada Collection on the roller. On my skin, Honey and Black Seed lotion by Nubian Heritage. I have loved both of these and they have both been at one point or another, a signature.
Unfortunately, the smell is a little “too soon” for me, I’m not ready to smell like this again. But I’m very glad I have Dalal because my tastes are very cyclical and I know for a fact there will be a time when I crave the fizzy sandalwood pop syrup again. It’s currently out of my wheelhouse, but it will be back in.
Opulent fruity honey cola with a slightly woody hookah/tobacco drydown. When I wear it, I see golden jewel tones, bold embroidery, and satin. Regal, exotic, powerful. That is not my vibe at this moment, but I appreciate it! Very well done.

Feels in love all the time freaking good it is kind of trancing or something not sure because of of the scent itself or because my mother had something similar once when I was younger and it kind of feel I want to live this scent forever haa

It smells delicious, super sweet fruit candy is the best way I can describe it. However, I’m not sure if a man can pull this one off. Dalal has a distinctive feminine sweetness to my nose.

This does have an air of bonbon but it’s loads of lemon poured on top

  14. :

    4 out of 5

This is my motherly perfume. It’s warm and loving and cosy. It has a hint of lemon scented cleaning products, but not overwhelmingly so (at least not with my own chemistry), more like the occasional light from a car going past. It smells like treats, mid-afternoon, hot sun, home baking and big, heavy flowers and there’s the faintest hint of scrupulously clean kitchen. It’s golden-orange and sticky honey like a good childhood memory. It doesn’t smell expensive, no, but not everything should. An expensive scent does not necessarily blend with every moment. This is perfect for a day with the paddling pool and drowsy bees and little cheap-bread sandwiches. This is being a small child in the Summer and listening to your mother laugh with her friends and then hug you. It’s a little plastic bead of a perfume and it’s beautiful.

  15. :

Dalal was a very inexpensive blind buy,but boy does it smell cheap.
Yes, there is some general resemblance to all the perfumes suggested here, but it really is a cheap replica of them (apologies for repeating myself and to all the fans, it’s just my personal experience/skin chemistry combination). It opens with a hard lemon candy accord, which I have smelled in quite a few Al Rehabs. Then it’s all sweet-caramel. I bought the oil and spray Edp and silage and longevity are very average in both.
Another one for the room spray- bed linen pile.

I just got the perfume oil today, and oh my goodness after the orange smells gone it turns exactly like love potion by oriflame. Only Dalal has a stronger vanilla-caramel while love potion has chocolate undertone to it.

I was attacked by my friend the first time I wore Dalal. Very funny! But she couldn’t stop smelling me and telling me how good I smelled. It is a gorgeous scent, a real gourmand without the sickening sweet, cloying scents on the shelves today. This one is different, it has a beautiful woodsy center that is absolutely wonderful. I will be adding this to my favorites and I hope it will never be discontinued! I am purchasing many different fragrances from this perfume house to try as blind buys. I’m very happy to have discovered this one! Also, Choco Musk is fantastic!

The best of the line. Definitely

  21. :

    3 out of 5

I get no orange, no nothing. Just chewy caramel. Gourmand as hell. I smell like a 2 year old holding a caramel toffee in her hands, it gradually melts in her hands while she makes several efforts to lick it. Sticky, ultra sweet, child’s cr-p. Does not develop what so ever. Stays the same irritating childish smell I get out of Escada. Does not even smell like a fragrance, rather like a food / dessert aroma. I am so irrirated, as Dalal has everyone raving and I am totally not getting it. No offence Dalal lovers.

  22. :

    4 out of 5

I wanted to like this sooooo badly! I get tons of citrus and very little caramel or sweetness at all.

  23. :

    4 out of 5

My first Al-Rehab fragrance, and I’m impressed. Yummy, but not sickly sweet. Mostly get caramel with an underlying woodiness, I pick up hardly any citrus. The longer I wear it, the more the vanilla caramel calms down and the sandalwood is at it’s best.
The performance is what I would expect from something much more costly. Lasted well on my skin, and great projection without being so strong to suffocate those around you.
    What a little gem!

I second the review by SophiesNose. Everything she said I feel is very true. Al- Rehab has been such a fun house to try. Might I add with no regret considering the price tag!

  28. :

What a wonderful surprise! I love Ginestet Botrytis, but don’t love the price tag. This is a VERY similar fragrance / vibe. Will be wonderful for Fall with it’s warm and delicious caramel. My favorite of all the Al-Rehab attars so far!
Longevity seems decent, and it wears close to the skin.
    A+

  29. :

Gourmand without being too candy like. I mean it smells like caramel but not like Halloween candy if you get what I’m saying. Just wonderful. I only wish it lasted longer, but for the price and the convenient roller ball bottle, it’s easy to take with you and reapply. It’s smaller than a lipstick. I adore it. And I would choose it over more expensive scents any day of the week. LOVE!

It is too week on time skin. Doesn’t last long. And smells like men’s perfume .. I don’t like it. So sad.

nice almonds covered with toffee 🙂

  33. :

    4 out of 5

Gorgeous, heavy on the vanilla and caramel. Just delicious. Not much more I can really say on this one. Not too complex but then that isn’t necessarily bad. It is just a lovely, comforting gourmand type of smell. I love vanilla and caramel so this one is a good one for me. I just love sniffing my arms! People must see me and wonder what the heck I am doing and probably think I am some kind of lunatic but I love beautiful scents 😛

  34. :

Nice caramelly citrus scent. A bit weak at first, but comes stronger later. Doesn’t cause a headache because it’s soft enough.

  35. :

    4 out of 5

I like this. It smells just like the notes listed above. It is like a honey pastry with orange zest. Fantastic winner from Al-Rehab.
It does have the sweet Al-Rehab drydown common to Choco Musk, Soft, So Sweet, etc.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

Dalal is among my most beloved al rehab perfumes.it’s a gourmand but it’s a perfumey gourmand not a foody one,it has also a mature vibe which separates it from teeny yummy scents.on my skin it’s like a combination of a classic pre 2000 feminine scent, something sophisticated, soft, powdery and ladylike with a modern gourmand.I can detect these four listed notes but there must be lots of missed floral notes too, also amber.honey and even some fruity notes.actually it’s far more complex and grown up than what I imagined.when I smell my skin closely I can feel something medicinal which I don’t care for but what wafts through air is pleasant and sensual
I have the 50mil spray version and I was surprised to read comments about it’s weakness as it has very good sillage and lasts +6 hours on me.even a bit stronger than this would be overwhelming for me and I usually love sillage monsters!
Hubby usually hates perfumes with dominant caramel notes, delal was one of the rare ones he didn’t say anything negative about it

  37. :

    4 out of 5

When you need a fragrance to not make a huge statement, or worn out from the powerhouses but want to wear something..this is where Dalal comes in. Get the oil as I have the spray and its super light. Notes of citrus, then vanilla emerge and a woody light caramel. It can easily be worn in warmer weather (the spray version) its also a great bedtime scent

  38. :

    3 out of 5

This is a stunning scent. It’s a smooth and sweet blend of caramel and orange. The citrus lingers in the background, leaving the sweet caramel note to occupy center stage. When I have this on, I simply can’t get enough! I can’t help but smile when I catch a trace of the soft and delicious fragrance.
This is a beautiful gourmand a lady can wear without worrying that she smells identical to the teeny bopper down the street who just bought her first bottle of Pink Sugar. LOVE this!

  39. :

If you want to be the most delicious man in your office,
    go blind buy this.
its sooo yummie with caramel, vanilla and a soft orange..
just 2 sprays in every arms, and Voila…….
    an evening scent.

  40. :

    4 out of 5

This is a VERY toned down version of Golden Sand. It’s not all gourmand…there is a slight hint (so slight) of a punch..I guess that’s the orange. I recommend this as a safe blind buy from Al-rehab. It’s yummy!

  41. :

    3 out of 5

sweet fragrance reminiscent of the foods that taste sweet. overall it is nice and soft scent.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

I bought Dalal because Golden showed me a real appreciation for how Al-Rehab does caramel. Caramel as a note seems positively suited for an oil. The citrus keeps a sharp poke through the vanilla and caramel creamy which isn’t disturbing but is there. The price makes this unbeatable and rather required for a caramel vanilla collection. I have some celebrity caramels at a good price but almost prefer an attar for caramel. Golden seems more sweet to my nose. May be the orange. This isn’t girly sweet caramel. Much more mature so maybe less fun but very appealing. Delicious.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

This and Secret Lady they are both soft and gentle. Dalal is more woody-vanilla, citrusy sweet. Secret Lady is more floral and exotic-fruity sweet. Both are very close to skin and lasts up to 3h on me. Dalal performs slightly better thanks to a sandalwood and seems to me a little bit more complex, grown up, exotic. Secret Lady is more girly and youthful.

  44. :

It’s very similar to Venezia by Laura Biagiotti.

A lovely sweet and yummy perfume. Very like Animale Animale.
Great value and long lasting 8/10

  46. :

    5 out of 5

    Dalal is lovely.
I was afraid that I would find the orange to be too astringent (as is the case with citrus and my skin 9 times out of 10, unfortunately) but am pleased to report it does not. It doesn’t smell like a true, ripe orange either though – it’s a component that adds an edible sweetness to the caramel/vanilla notes, and the sandalwood serves mostly as a base.
This is the weakest of the Al-Rehabs I own in terms of sillage. I applied the same amount of Golden Sands on my other wrist and can barely escape that smell! Dalal needs to be closer to the nose, or at least applied more liberally when worn in oil form. I’m considering grabbing a spray for this so I don’t have to draw all over myself with the roll-on 😛

  47. :

    5 out of 5

Oh yummy! I love this oil. I’ve had the spray for a while but i know that the oils can smell much richer, dense and rounder. So i bought the oil and it’s so much better than the spray. Imo it smells just like Hermes Elixir except dalal has a spice that smells like clove. This is fabulous! I get carmelly, spicy, resinous, oranges. In fact, i layered dalal with Hermes Elixir today and I’m in heaven! The spices, orange and resins are amped up. The sillage and longevity is great. I found a new favorite arabian oil. It’s the perfect fall scent!!

  48. :

    4 out of 5

Very similar to Al Haramain Million, as others have noted. Million is lacking the amazing orange in Dalal, however, and in some ways smells a bit more unisex to my nose.
Not recommended for those who hate sweet scents or oud. There really IS some oud here, lingering quietly (or not so quietly, depending on your skin chemistry) to keep the overall scent from descending into diabetic territory! The woody touch is genius, taking a simple scent and making it smell quite expensive and addictive.
For me personally, Dalal is caramel-vanilla-orange heaven!

I recently discovered Al Rehab and immediately fell in love with each blind buy, especially Nebras and Full. I read the reviews, and couldn’t wait for my little oil rollerball of Dalal to arrive. I could practically taste the sweet, honey- drenched carmelly orange goodness…
Carmex. On me, all I got was sweet, medicinal Carmex. I was so disappointed I even ordered a second bottle thinking the first was some random fluke. It wasn’t. Ugh.
I’m so envious of those who can wear this and for them it’s a little bit of golden gourmand heaven. Alas, for me it’s back to Nebras…

I reviewed this maybe a year ago. Back then, I was really had a whirlwhind love affair with perfume oils. I still adore perfume oils, of course. But when you use them every day, you get odor fatigue.
LOL… I don’t know what to say except to be careful not to apply too much. Dalal was one of the only Al-Rehab oils that seemed like a skin scent… but boy, it’s strong. Especially if you use the sweet ones like Dalal in summer heat, please be considerate of others.
This is the only Al-Rehab in which I have both products (the spray and the oil). Paired together, they are quite lovely. The oil lasts much longer and has better sillage, but I never wear the spray alone. The scent reminds me of authentic baklava from the Middle Eastern shops in Cleveland. I used to shop there on a regular basis when I lived there. Delicious, sweet, orange, smoky vanilla goodness.
A rollerball line maybe 3 inches long on the back of the hand rubbed all over the whole body is the best way to apply. It also lasts the best after a shower. If it fades, do maybe one more application throughout the day, but that’s about it (for me, anyway).
I just can’t believe I used to apply so much at one time, especially the strong lemony Soft. I’m quietly apologizing to everyone who choked on my perfume. Actually, despite the enormous application, a lot of people loved these oils , especially Dalal, Soft, and Sandra.

  51. :

    4 out of 5

On my skin Dalal smells exactly like Love potion by Oriflame. Dark vanilla chocolate with a little orange. I like to layer it with the bodylotion of Love potion. Dalal last much longer than LP. Next time I put Dalal oil first after shower and than I spray LP on top of it. It maybe increase the sillage of Dalal and de longevity of LP.

  52. :

    3 out of 5

On me the initial smell is just like a scent the body shop in the uk did about 15 years ago called tobacco flower. Pretty white floral but slightly tobacco-y, so I can understand the compassion with Al haramain and I prefer this. It’s not a sillage monster like some other Al rehabs and after a couple of hours it is only a very soft skinscent of smoky musk and vanilla. To me anyway. I do like it but I’m not wowed like I was with soft, Choco musk or silver. More a smoky floral than a gourmand.
Ps have just been told I smell nice, by someone not too generous with their compliments, so praise indeed.

  53. :

Buy it and you will like it.. It smells real good… It reminds me of al haramain million.. Very sweet scent… I love it so much…

  54. :

I love the dry-down of this. After about two ours of wear, I can really smell the deeper, musky finale of this perfume. Once while wearing this overnight, I began to smell the absolutely lovely scent that I would sometimes–if I was lucky– detected on the breath or clothing of my teachers in high school: a warm, sweet scent that is almost indescribable to me (mentally, this scent evokes a visual of mushrooms–I’m not sure why). That scent after wearing Dalal for 6+ hours is truly the only reason why I’m considering keeping my vial, in the hope that it will reproduce that scent during another overnight test.
It’s the top notes that are destroying my love affair–those pesky, fruity tones. They are somewhat enjoyable–like candy for your nose–but really not something I want to smell like when out and about (for this reason I enjoy wearing this while studying or going to bed, as I can just sniff it to bring some interest to my senses and not be socially associated with candy smells!).

  55. :

    5 out of 5

I like the scent, but it’s not unisex to me. Far too sweet and really comes off as feminine in my opinion.

  56. :

    3 out of 5

Not impressed. This one smells like sour orange peel mixed with very pungent caramel, cheap Vanilla and shy sandalwood.
The result is very sweet indeed but syrupy and kind of headache inducing.
I agree with the girls who said that the opening reminds a lot Paris HIlton Passport to Paris. But the latter is better..
However the four notes are very detectable but you can also tell that these ingredients are not the best quality on the market.

I fell in love with this gorgeous gormound! Very delicious caramel and sandalwood scent, that lasts hours on your skin and days on your clothes. I see this as feminine, but that is just how I feel about it. Smells very similar to al haramain million

What a lovely gourmand, so comforting and yummy. Very high quality oil.
As all the Arabian oils you need to let it dry a bit, this one is really well blended, linear but not in a bad way, a bit sharp first but after a while it softens and that’s were it shines.
Really lovely oil, not much to say. Unisex, although I don’t think some men can pull this of or even like it to them selfs.
If you like gourmand scents, here it is!
As usual lasts quite a while too.

I love a good gourmand and was very excited to receive my batch of Al Rehab fragrance oils…
What a disappointment! The star of the show, Dalal, is sickly sweet and juvenile. Not teenage, but tweenage. For context, I happily wear LVEB and YSL Black Opium, but Dalal to my nose is going beyond.
All six of my Al Rehabs are unpleasantly synthetic and linear. They have no transformation which makes their greatest asset, their excellent longevity, more of a disadvantage.
It has made me wonder if these are even intended to be worn on the body, or are more of a novelty for some other purpose. I’m surprised to so actively dislike them.
It also leaves me genuinely puzzled why Al Rehab is cited as a credible Arabian attar/perfume oil brand. What did I actually buy?! The oils I received are very synthetic and in no way pleasant, exotic or interesting.
(FYI, I got them from saifulislam1973 on eBay UK.)

Sweet, orange candy, but soft and not cloying nor overly sugary like Soft or Choco-Musk. Easy and unsophisticated, light, very Western-friendly. Sillage is close to the skin, and longevity is average. Can be worn in warm weather. Not my favorite, but pleasant nonetheless. More feminine than masculine, but can be worn by gourmand loving men, I think

  61. :

    4 out of 5

Dalal has a very strong caramel note. I find it similar to Gold Sugar, a bit less cloying.

Further to my earlier review, my 2 year old daughter was playing with my make up and put this on and it smells so lovely sweet and flowery on her its made me fall in love with it having not worn it for a while

  63. :

This smells how mead tastes. Pure and simple. I dont wear it often but love having it to mix with stronger oils like al sharqiia or mokhallat dubai

  64. :

I can’t really pick out caramel, orange or vanilla as separate or realistic smells. That being said, this is a gorgeous sweet honey scent. I love it alone but can see how it would be excellent for layering with honey fragrances. After trying and disliking Chocomusk and Soft, this is the first Al-Rehab that I LOVE. It lasts forever and projects well on my skin. I can’t get enough, especially in hot weather.

  65. :

Since my last review of this ive found myself reordering it, and using it up fairly quickly…
I thought I wasnt blown away… but apparently I love this as a staple… as a safe, pretty, honey frag that is unusual enough to set me apart from others. Its inoffensive, and I suppose the nectar-like (almost like a fairy tale) quality makes it somewhat mysterious and otherworldly, strangely sensual…
The lyrics from the Cure song Just Like Heaven … “Strange as angels…” is sort of what this perfume reminds me of, in mood, at least.
Also reminds me of the movie Legend. I dont know… this is all probably just me …LOL…
This layers PERFECTLY with my staple honey scented lotions. And in fact it layers well with many other perfumes, as well. I can put this under Amarige… Rasha… Honey and the Moon… even L’elephant.

  66. :

agree with below.. sweet soapy scent..
That’s all. The opening kinda loud. I prefer to rub it on my clothes,

  67. :

    5 out of 5

Dalal is a sweet soapy caramel. And it wear best for making out with my wife. It getting rich as mix with body odor of both and hot friction created during activity. Such an amazing ingredients, I cannot imagine happened with USD 2 /6ml oil.

  68. :

    5 out of 5

Straight from the bottle, Dalal has a very citrus-y, woody, fresh smell to it. After applying (on my skin, at least, with the perfume oil) the citrus quickly fades away, leaving a light incense and caramel sweet scent behind. I don’t usually enjoy incense fragrances, but it’s so light and sweet that it isn’t offensive at all.

MMM Smells absolutely tasty. It’s a non intrusive mixture of citrisy sweet oranges softened by a light caramel. It’s not too sweet at all, but it smells like a candy. Kinda chemically smelling, but only if you look for it. Overall though, I love this.

I took the advice of some other reviewers (thank you!!!) and layered Dalal with Al Sharquiah (I have both in edp form). WOW!!! I love both of them separately, but it is also like they were born to be combined. This brings out the best in both fragrances, and it increases their longevity as well. Thank you so much for this advice!

Just gorgeous from start to finish! Reminds me very much of Madonna Truth or Dare naked and also Ghost sweetheart, two of my favourite vanilla-y caramelly scents.
When you first apply it, it seems incredibly strong but it fades quite quickly i think. Still, at the price i paid i cannot complain! It’s really beautiful, i just wish it would hang around a little longer! Might be something to do with the fact it’s alcohol free.

Did I mention how much fun I am having with Al Rehab these days? I had this before I got Rasha… and maybe it was just a fluke bottle but I did not find Dalal to be nearly as powerful in its strength, longevity, or sillage as Rasha. Only mentioning it because after trying Rasha, I now know how strong these oils CAN be. Because of this I am disappointed in Dalal’s weakness.
So… Dalal is a sweet pretty gentle orange soda ice cream float with hagen daaz vanilla bean ice cream as the floater… and … unusually… garnished with honey!
These are the main scents that come through for me. Certainly delicious! I dont get caramel… But I get why people detect it. However, to me, caramel has a much more dark burned flavor than what I smell here in Dalal.
Dry down is soft vanilla/honey cake.
Dalal is fine sweet little thing… However I am not blown away.
I like to play around with layering this one under others though.
I will say… as another reviewer noted, Dalal is unlike perfume to my nose. Its like something else… it smells like a nectar from a flower more than a perfume (which is a great thing). There is absolutely nothing harsh about it from start to finish, which may be the underlying reason that it seems to go away so quickly. At least on my skin, this one fades very fast, and theres barely any sillage, even at the start. While I can’t imagine ever being blown away by it, I may always keep it in my collection.

I’ve got the edp: a little bit different than I expected; on my skin it’s mostly fruity and woody-smokey in the drydown. Maybe the oil is more vanillic? I find it similar to Bath & body works Twiligh woods! Anyway for me it’s a very natural and lovely sweet fragrance, but not very longlasting.
EDIT: This frag has grown on me! I love the sweet and smooky dry-down, I can smell it for many hours! So the sillage is decent, while it hasn’t a large projection, but I don’t mind!

In a short period of time I came to love this fragrance. Dalal is very wearable for a lot of occasions, not offensive, but clearly noticeable.
The opening is very fresh and sweet (but not childish sweet or overpowering), mostly caramel and orange (especially the orange smells very close to the real thing). In the drydown, after 15 minutes for me, the vanilla and sandalwood make it more soft. This really is a quality fragrance. Balanced very well, and wears for a long time. I get no synthetic notes or anything at all. I’ve put it on (rollerball 3ml) yesterday, beginning noon, and can now still smell it in my sweater and some soft traces on my skin.
Since a few days I keep her always in my purse. Definitely will buy again!

My predilection for gourmand fragrances combined with the unanimously great reviews and the low, low price of this Dalal made it a no-brainer to try it, but I have to say I’m in the minority who’s not convinced.
I especially don’t like the opening: I find it cloyingly sweet and synthetic. Something about it really rubs me the wrong way, maybe the oiliness/lack of alcohol that I’m not used to. I don’t think it even smells like a perfume at this point, more like something you’d use in baking (and then not the “natural ingredients” kind of baking).
Luckily, it calms down considerably after a while, leaving a pretty nice but generic sugary vanilla sweetness with a little hint of citrus. Nothing to write home about exactly, but certainly easy to like. Only it’s also pretty weak by now; the opening I don’t like seems to radiate for miles while I have to sniff my wrist pretty closely to get a whiff of this much better stage.
So I just don’t think it’s worth the trouble of the opening to get to the mild reward of the dry-down, and I’m going to put this one aside to maybe try again next winter to see if I change my mind.

Dalal by Al Rehab is a sweet scent for sure as you can expect from the notes, however thankfully it’s not strong or overbearing which is nice. I like sweet scents but not on the level of some perfumes like ‘la vie est belle’ which I personally find sickening. The only downside to this perfume oil is that it has poor longevity or sillage. It’s definitely a skin scent but it’s comforting and nice. You can definitely apply more and I find that whilst it is a skin scent you can still fainly smell it hours later, I have even tried putting it on clothes and it does stay on for a while. I would say 6 hours maximum before it more or less fades completely away. A bonus point about Dalal is that as some reviewers have mentioned there’s something smokey or tobacco like which I LOVE. After reading those reviews I went and put it on to see if it was there and it WAS! That’s good if you like scents like that.

This smells like the long discontinued Venezia and it is yet another beautiful fragrance by Al-Rehab, however, this is a skin scent on me which means I can’t wear it in public. I will probably wear it to bed.
