I have two bottles of this, a spray on and a big splash. This is the sort of cologne barbers run through the temples after a haircut. It makes a fine job of scenting a pillow or your linen cupboard. In high summer, as it is here, I grow a little row of greek basil, tubs of sweet basil and cherry tomatoes. After a swim I might splash this on a caftan over my swimsuit to pick a few herbs for the salad. As with 4711 this stuff is not potent; it’s happy lemonade, fizzing on your skin until you consider more serious attire, by which time, it has oblingingly worn off. It’s lovely to spritz on a child’s knees and elbows. A white musk lingers on the skin far longer than the citrus elements of it, but you would expect that with a simple cologne. Marketed to men but used by allcomers in this house at holiday time.

So glad to see this one added to the database! I have this in a large splash bottle and this is one of the best classic citrus colognes of our time. I get lemon and something bitter along with a touch of lavender which is not my favorite note with something herbal. But this beauty really comes alive in the hottest weather conditions & it screams CLASSY!
Given the fact that this is a cologne, it does not have the best longevity, but it is appreciated for it’s kind. I find that many modern fragrances of this kind have a hard time keeping up with those that were made decades ago. Could it be the ingredients that were once used long before that made the difference? That could possibly be the case. But if you want something casual to wear on the hot humid summer days, look no further! Projection is low, longevity pushing 4 hours that is about it. Try it!
