I normally am not a fan of coconut, maybe because every perfume I’ve ever had with it in it was just coconut overload. I don’t know. Anyway, I was at the Goodwill the other day, and there was a brand new bottle of this for .95 cents. I got it because I usually like Bath and Body Works stuff. Turns out, I really like this scent. It’s going to be perfect for the summer. Obviously it has the coconut scent in it, but it’s more than that. The lime in it makes it sort of have a crisp scent as well, and then they’re followed by this creamy yummy smell. I cant wait for warmer weather and summer time so I break this scent out. I lucked out finding this at the Goodwill!

Such a beautiful, fresh scent! Perfect for summer and spring. As the name says, the lime a coconut really shine in this fragrance. I love how you can’t over-spray this. Whether its one spray or ten, it still smells just as good! I do find I need to reapply after about four hours though, which is disappointing. However, for the price, it doesn’t pose much of a problem for me. Reminds me of being on an island! One of my favorite B&BW scents!

My summer scent; for a light spray it’s close to perfection. Never thought i’ll say this about a BBW scent; but it manages to escape the brand’s sickly sweet codes and is just delightful.
Breezy lime, a tropical undercurrent and a natural unsweetened coconut water, yuum!! tropical summer in a bottle. Light and easy to wear.
    scent: 7+/10
    longevity: 3/10

Oh no, they’ve discontinued it? I loved it, but never bought any because it was very strong. Looks like I should have stocked up on a little lotion or something. What a shame.

In my tropical environment, you cannot go wrong with a coconut scent and this is amazing coconut/lime. Safe yet exotic, beautiful, and fun; it will always be part of my perfume wardrobe.

I have CL Breeze as mist: On me it become coconut+musk.. I love the openings, its coconut bit limey and then it turn to sweet musky scent which i’m not really in to.
umm.. I would try the CL verbena though.. still curious.. 😀

Bought this yesterday for SGD$8, what a dirt cheap find. The opening is very similar to CK One, just sharp synthetic household cleaner / car freshener lime-citrus and I can’t say I enjoy it. Those who think that it smells natural have obviously never smelled fresh cut limes before. Thankfully the top doesn’t last for more than 20 minutes on my skin. The middle kinda reminds me of Sweet Courreges Pink, which was what I loved as a child. I checked out the notes of Courreges and what a surprise, they both share common notes of tuberose, peach and mandarin orange. The coconut takes the lead role, and being a coconut fan, I will spritz on my clothes instead of skin since the coconut notes love disappearing on my skin. I have two different dry downs, depending on where I spritz. Skin drydown is musky and asimilar to Sweet Courreges, with little or none coconut notes, whereas the fabric drydown is a sweet dessert-like gourmand scent reminiscent of south east asian Nyonya or Peranakan cakes made from pandan leaves, eggs and coconut milk.
Update 26 October 2013: I can no longer stand this scent. If you live in Singapore, hit me up, I’ll give it away (would be more than happy if you’ll give me something cheap in return, haha).

I love tropical base fragrances and this would have to be my favourite B&B scent. True there is no depth into it, the bottle says it all — Coconut Lime.
Easy no fuss fragrance. Not really long lasting which I wish it was. Clean and crisp. The person who wears this I think is:
    -Fun
    -Young

It smells fresh and clean. It can be considered by some as a unisex type of fragrance. But the tuberose makes it more feminine.
The opening is pure lime and it stays that way until the tuberose, coconut and musk start to appear.
The drydown is a mix of coconut and musk, sweet but not overly so.
Just keep in mind that the opening is very citrus/lime but what you get in the end (and almost for the entire time) is a heavy floral, coconut and musk.

Coconut lime verbena & coconut lime breeze (the replacement for clv) are cousin scents… Not twins, not sisters because they are quite different.
The new CLB is a coconut & lime cocktail. All that lime in the shower gel is a big wake up!
It pretty much hollers “Whoot! Whoot! Wake up!! Good morning!!! Happy summer!!!”
CL Verbena is less cocktail and more “island experience”… It puts me to mind of limes sold near a straw market in the Bahamas. There’s only a small amount of coconut on me and its not nearly as edible smelling as its replacement.
I like them both very much.
I’m a simple piglet. I don’t really need to be challenged by a fragrance to enjoy it (in fact, I prefer NOT to be challenged). I like to bring minis of these when I take cruises or beach vacations. I wear the new version for daytime, and CLV for the evening (I’m about fun,not trying to be sexy or alluring). They both make me happy!!
The two scents work together well and last I knew, CLV is still available on the BBW website. Layering either (or both) makes the fragrances last longer (as usual with BBW scents)
Final thoughts? If you want a cocktail smell? Try Breeze. Want something less edible? Try CLV.

My friend owns this and she lend it for me to use. I have to say, it’s a very citrusy smell and I could smell the undilated coconut. Very pleasant. Great for a beautiful evening 🙂

Very limey, yet creamy. The thing with Bath & Body Works (and this can be a positive or a negative depending on who you are speaking to) is that it smells like what it says it is. No surprises. If anything I’m surprised to see some of these fragrances have pyramids of notes. For me almost all B&B products have this chalky, play-doh thing going on with them… I have no idea why.

so let me get this straight….you put the lime in the coconut and you drink em bot together, you put the lime in the coconut and den you feel better??
    doctorrrrr!
    ooooh ooouuuooouuuoooh..

*This is a review for Coconut Lime Breeze*
I liked this well enough when I first got it, but as time went on and my taste in fragrances became more developed and refined I began to find it more and more suitable as a room spray. It’s a nice cheap citrus scent, and it smells just like that: a cheap, generic, typical B&BW fragrance with heavily synthetic creamy coconut and sharp, tart sparkling lime. That and a bit of sweetness is all I get from this. Not completely terrible, but definitely not a repurchase for me.

No depth, iffy lasting power, but great for summer. Cool, clean, crisp. ETD is a little tart on me (lotion is more coconut creamy), still works great.

  16. :

Coconut Lime Breeze (body mist): clearly something you’d purchase at B&B. Strong blast of youthful, creamy sweetness, a nice mix but no depth and not enough tart edge for me to “love”. I would save this for summer.

This is my first review for a product from Bath and Body works. I live in Greece and I had to order it on line. I got the Coconut lime Breeze (the fragrance mist), which is the new version of Coconut Lime Verbena. To be honest with you I can not detect any single note. It starts quite strongly and it lasts for about an hour. After the first hour it starts to fade. I found the longevity of the mist quite poor. On me, it lasts maximum 2 hours -(in the end I can hardly detect it). Overall with the shipping cost, I paid 22 English pounds (almost 35 dollars) which is quite expensive in my humble opinion. These products are probably affordable in the USA but for us that we live in Europe, they are very expensive. I can not really say that I am very happy with my purchase, comparing the final price that I had to pay, with the quality of the product.

This opens with a fresh, strong burst of lime, it’s slightly synthetic although not entirely unpleasant. Then, it shifts. It still smells like lime and coconut, but it is a much more natural and appealing scent. I think it smells best at the end of the day, when the lime is almost completely gone, but a creamy coconut remains. I like this perfume during the summer months, and I think it’s the perfect scent for going to the pool or the beach. My only wish would be for it to not be so synthetic in the opening!

I don’t have this perfume but I have the body spray and I love it! Perfect for summer. It’s so light and fresh you could basically spray it on all day if you wanted to. Perfect for those long sweaty days when you just want to refresh yourself. I hope to get the perfume someday. There are just so many scents that are wonderful and BBW, its hard to choose just one.
I would also like to try DKNY Pure Verbena, sounds good.
    P.S. I agree, I don’t note much coconut really.

What I love so much about this scent is the initial burst of lime and bergamot, makes me wish I could drink it! As much as I love coconut, I was afraid it would have either stolen the spotlight or smelled like half lime and half coconut… Typical. But i get more zesty citrus fruits and a HINT of coconut. Yum.

My favorite BBW scent! Smells fresh and fruity like summer days on the beach should be. During the semi-annual sale I ALWAYS stock up on this fragrance in the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. The hair products leave my hair very soft and smelling incredible!
if you don’t like the smell of coconut, don’t be automatically turned away by its name. It’s very light and the lime is super refreshing!

Fresh and young. However, no lasting power whatsoever.

I honestly HATE lime, but in this yummy mixture with coconut it is AMAZING! I only have the body mist but I really want the eau de toliette! (they re-packaged it as Coconut Lime Breeze)

I compared this to a coconut lime body lotion that I got at wal mart for 5 dollars comparing the scents thinking that it wouldn’t be much different. Oh my gosh was I wrong, I really started to truly appreciated just how true to the lime and coconut smell the BBW one is, it smells like REAL lime and coconut while the wal-mart one smelled like coconut sunscreen. I highly recommend this scent, it’s incredibly zesty yet sweet.

This is one of my favorite summer scents, it really is to die for. A perfect zesty balance of creamy coconut and punchy lime, it doesn’t hurt my sensitive nose a bit! I love, love, love it. 🙂

  26. :

i love b&b products, but this is just an ok fragrance for me. i love lime and coconut, but this is not a clean lime or coconut scent. its a little on the harsh and fake side. smells more plastic, then fresh limes and coconut.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

I have the body mist of this. I love the Coconut in it, really really nice and it makes you feel like you just got out of the bathroom bathing with Coconut shreds hehe but the lime to me seems a little too strong and bitter, but nonetheless I like it, this scent is 7/10 to me.

  28. :

    5 out of 5

It’s quite a simple scent. Creamy smooth coconut with zesty lime covered in sweet fruity scent of black currant and whatever other fruits that might be. Thanks to the lime, it never gets very syrupy but still sweet. It provides cooling freshness at first and turns into a nice warm scent. I like it as a candle, wallflower or soap.
Remark: Want Virgin Island Water by Creed but cannot afford? You can try this fragrance and get by because it gives a similar vibe as Virgin Island Water.

I tested the sanitizer of this, probably the perfume later, but when I smelled it,it was okay,I really do enjoy the combination of lime and coconut, but there is something hard to describe that smells…..weird,I can’t find out what it is,but it is a good scent,it still has my satisfactory.I might wear this on a hot day in Texas.

  30. :

not a every day smell for me……But when I feel hot and sticky and want to feel refresh…I tend to spritz it.

  31. :

This one is quite a treat! Feels like it was made just for me… well almost! I don’t like the top notes nor the final hours of the drydown. Smells artificial. But after the first 5 minutes, it’s lovely. So tropical. Takes me elsewhere, but I am so put off by the final drydown. I get no hints of coconut or lime, just artifical scent. I think the body mist, cream and lotion are FAR superior to the EDT for the reason mentioned above! I just love the scent so much though that I’d love to have it as a fantastic EDT or EDP even.
I’ve ordered Creed Virgin Island Waters and am desperately hoping that it will be just what I need in so far as a tropical getaway in the form of an EDT!

Ejjhaaa…! I said it first when I faced the first blowing. Perfect tropical summer managed to get into my reason from him where I may slurp it in the cocktail glass oozing because of the cold the lime cocktail, in him tiny kumquat, and blackcurrant with pieces, on the edge of the glass with tangerine decoration. The lime breaks out with an irresistible explosion from the fragrance, and the cleansing tartness of a verbena bringing the coolness with him. Oppressed the peach and cantaloupe, tuberose fragrances, because I did not feel them altogether in this fragrance, as the lily of the valley is a seducer his digression, it, that Fragrantica in combination these to see… i they fled from my nose-… I do not feel it! While my foot I spoil it in the waves of the pleasant water, from the palms along the coast as a spectacle, -with a laughing mouth-, the natives fresh coco harvest. It is cut into two with a knife with a short and wide blade locally there, and offer the spurting with the transparent juice of a coco. Appears as they deprive the fruit of the tree of a hawk with vigorous moves the sparkling white coco intestine, from which the unmistakable fragrance may overflow already. Everything like that crisply soft drink from the arriving cedar, and full of life, from the succulent multitude. The creamy sweets of the coco, the refreshment cannot oppress the strength of citrous totally, and does not handle the verbena easily. They get tired with the passing of long time so much only the green one notes, how the paradisiacal one may triumph finally states suggestive vanilla, and the mixture of a coco. Their place deserved well the santal, and musk fellows onto long time it is insured. The effect like that, as if I would find out a undisturbed tropical island where it is eternal summer, and an ocean coast waits for me, all of his fineness. In winter wrong … to recall the imaginary boiling summer experience, which lures a smile onto our face always. 🙂

My girlfriend is obsessed with this smell. I can’t blame her, it’s a pretty inviting scent.
If I could change something about the perfume, I would make the lime a little stronger, actually.

It’s listed as unisex in quite a few places. I tried the body splash too and that’s a female only one imo. But the eau de toilette can be for guys also. Very nice summer fragrance

This lotion is a winner — coconut but without smelling like suntan oil. I got it as a gift from a man who selected it himself (and I don’t know many straight men down here in the Bible Belt, USA who like women’s perfumes). Men like it. In fact, men want to wear it.

I enjoyed this scent. Somewhat clean and fresh from the citrus notes, but warm from the coconut and musk. It’s actually quite inviting and very refreshing on any day. I usually keep some of the lotion in the guest bathroom so that people can use it after they wash their hands. I find that I usually have to re-stock frequently because people seem to love it! (And I’ve got 4 other lotions in that bathroom!)

This is a very Clean and Everyday scent. I get a lot of Lime at first but whoever thought to mix w/Coconut is a Genius. Though I love Coconut and don’t know if you could go wrong mixing anything with it. It has that fresh out of the shower smell. I think anyone could pull this off and everyone around would enjoy it. Even you allergy sufferers!! Nice enjoyable smell..
