Description
In September 2013 Thomas Sabo is launching the new fragrance Charm Rose Intense which was presented for the first time on June 19th 2013 in front of 60 officials in the building of Goßlerhaus in Blankenese, Hamburg, Germany. In honor of the exclusive event, a charming setting made up of thousands of roses was created and it additionally decorated this historic and stylistic building with its fragrance and beauty. The guests were entertained by Parisian singer Mariama, who captivated the audience with a number of songs including “La Vie en Rose”.
The new fragrance of the Thomas Sabo collection was presented in a black bottle with the same form and design as fragrances Charm Rose and Charm Kiss. With its attractive design and charming outer packaging Charm Rose Intense offers a stronger and darker composition – version of the first perfume Charm Rose from 2010. The extremely seductive perfume will attract attention with roses, juicy fruit and dark, deep woodsy notes. It will be available as Eau de Parfum.
Charm Rose Intense opens its composition with the sweetness of fresh mandarin, enriched with sweet floral fragrance of freesia and white peach. The focus of the new composition lies on dark red roses absolute, dark and extremely intoxicating, combined with peony flowers and Robertet’s lysylang (fractioning and carefully selected collection of Ylang III of the Indian Ocean. Scent: Very clean aromas of white flowers with undertones of jasmine, monoi and frangipani. Aspects of spicy lilies and gourmet coconut milk. Lysylang brings the power and the body of modern exotic bouquet of white flowers with delicate aquatic-floral top notes and a rich diffusion in drydown). Base notes of the composition linger with warm and creamy rosewood, completed with deep, dark patchouli, sensual vanilla and velvety amber.

This is definitely a dark, musty rose, not sharp but not really sweet at all imo. It opens very softly with powdery rose, peach and a very sour note which I think is supposed to be coconut milk. That’s the note I was most looking forward to and most disappointed by – I think real coconut milk is much sweeter and fresher than this.. its a very faint musty coconut, just vaguely milky. The rose fades a bit and then there’s just this sour skanky masculine note.. it reminds me a lot of a tamed down version Pierre Balmin Ambregris.. which a lot of people find comforting. The sillage is too soft to be offensive
