This fragrance is like a bad ex that keeps convincing me to give it another shot even though I know it only ever ends the same way. I spray it on paper to reevaluate my opinion. I decide after a few days of enjoying the fragrance on paper that I should commit to spraying it on skin. And there lies the mistake for me time and time again. This does not mix well with my body chemistry.
On me this is a competition between a very stinky oakmoss and a sharp laundry detergent. If I smell this in the air or on paper it’s intriguing but on my body it is overwhelming and distracting.
This is the third in the Charlie series that was not a success for me, though this had potential and came the closest to working out. Sadly it didn’t and I consider my journey with Charlie to have finally come to a close.

Charlie.aeroplan, contemporary Charlie does not smell at all like old Charlie which was, on my skin, a delightful green floral with a bit of oakmoss to round it off and give longevity. It was very loud and had great longevity (8 hours plus).Nowadays it is a screechy mess with a synthetic oakmoss, a surefire headache. This was one of my youth faves, a sure sign that You Can’t Go Home Again, like the American writer said.

A few years ago, I stumbled across Charlie Red a fell n LOVE with this cheapest bottle of fragrance in my collection.I will always have this one, despite my countless others.
Then came Charlie Gold, like in winter and cooler weather.
Today I tried Blue —and not so much…a lot of oakmoss , which is ok,

I enjoy oakmoss, but there is something about this combination that’s just not for me. It has great sillage and longevity, so astounding value for the money, as a little goes a long way. Green, woody.
not Quite sure where they ca,e to cal this scent
“Blue” – nothing blue about it.
Now, it is over 30 degrees , so perhaps come fall I may feel otherwise, but right now it will not join the other Charlie’s on my vanity.
ALL the Charlies are very different. So, don’t assume if you like one, you will like another. try before you buy. but in the end , it is so affordable, a wrong buy will not hut much.
I gave this one another round, now in cooler weather. It is no better than before. What I do pick up on now, is a screetchy, synthetic oakmosd….not in a good way the way the original oakmoss was. It is loud and untamed here. Also, this scent lacks any other complexity beyond that screetchiness, so a NO from me.

Fresh and fun.. geranium and oakmoss is truly a match made in heaven! Charlie Blue smells like a cross between the geranium-scented Schmidt’s deodorant and Halston Classic. Lasting power is amazing!
This arrived in the mail yesterday before I left to go to a wedding, so I spritzed some on when I got back home…went to sleep, when I awoke I smelled the most amazing fresh, green, effervescent fragrance and couldn’t for the life of me remember what it was that smelled so good! I had worn Emeraude to the wedding and couldn’t understand why my perfume was so strong and so different especially after so many hours when Emeraude wears linear and light on me.. then I remembered that little test spray I did of Charlie Blue. What a pleasant surprise to wake up to something so strong and lovely. I love a perfume that is strong and lasts, so few perform very well on my perfume-eating skin… so Charlie Blue is a new big love for me!!
I am especially excited because I was so let down by a big vintage bottle of regular Charlie that I had acquired, it smells amazing but only lasts for minutes before it disappears.. Charlie Blue more than makes up for it 🙂

I was at the pound-shop today and they had all Charlie-s in stock for a mere 4 euros, so I bought one of each..This one I have never smelled before, it` probably going to end up as my current fave, although it was concealed in the men`s toiletries section..:-D So is it really unisex then?
I get geranium and musk mainly with oakmoss, but the latter isn`t loud or sharp as it`d be on my skin usually, it blends in and gets toned down after 10 mins. Sandalwood appears in the drydown. The scent itself is rather fresh and musky, could pass as aldehydic but not at all aquatic. There is a phase where it reminds me of old-school bug-repellent, but not for long. It is VERY much of a blast from the past, but strangely appealing, and actually lasts too – I sprayed about 4 hours ago and I can still clearly make it out on my arm, so I guess it is a good quality cheapie too. It would go well with spring-summer climate, as much as Red and Gold are more for the winter season imo. It could pass as unisex, although I don`t think I`d find it any way nice on my fella, but it always depends on skin chemistry..
I must say I`ll defo repurchase!

To my nose it’s definitely unisex, extremely strong, super long lasting. And it reminds me of original blue zest body soap bar lol.

Well, hello oakmoss, up until now I didn’t know we were such good friends, since you were only lingering around in the background of some of my fragrances. It’s a good thing that we have been introduced by Charlie Blue, which is by the way the umpteenth scent of the Charlie series I have blind bought and gladly added to my collection.
This scent is earthy-mossy, like dense conifer forest after rain, with a hint of flowers and spices, it reminds me a little of the more floral Vanderbilt. Longevity is spectacular, sillage pretty heavy, and its very inexpensive. Just hold you breath for the initial 30 seconds, as SuzanneS mentioned, that particular blast is not so pleasant.

    This is unisex…
has the same line of smell of Jovan’s for men. Its cheap and smells dated in the 80’s. would be good for fathers like the Jovans.
Not for me or the young.

I have not tried it on my skin, but I did ask a guest who visited my employment if she was wearing Safari by Ralph Lauren and she stated it was Charlie Blue. She went to the car to bring me the bottle to make sure it was the Blue. Indeed, to me it smelled like Safari one of my favorite fragrances. Will have to test on my skin.

When I was a kid/teen, the best my small town had was K-Mart, and I remember having Charlie. I can’t for the life of me bring up a scent memory tho. So I blind bought a cheap bottle.
I dislike Charlie Gold (cheap/plastic/weird- bought it for the gourmand/foody notes and it fails) and Charlie White is the signature of my best friend.
As a teen (early 90s), I had ET Passion, United Colors of Benneton, something by Joop, basically anything I could buy at K-mart, often unsniffed. I wasn’t picky. I felt grown up wearing any perfume.
Charlie Blue today. Not really bringing back any memories– but I like this $6 cheapie!
Very clean/Irish Spring soap but MOSSY and I love it! The florals are there… this is lovely! I agree it’s shampoo-soapy– in a fun, generic, blast from the past way– without smelling dated or old.
Now, based on my collection, this is kinda cheesy, and I really didn’t NEED it. Haha. But hey– you can’t even eat at Taco Bell anymore for $6- so I have nothing to regret! 😉
Oh wait… I’m getting a musty-old smell (1+ hour later on tissue)…. the way some moss behaves. I am not knocking any age-frame, but the drydown of this reminds me of my Grandpa- who often smelled like perspiration because he wore wool sweater vests all year ’round.
I don’t hate it tho. I love vintage mossy stuff, Miss Dior (vintage) being one of my faves. I’ll see how this works on me. And to be honest… I’m kinda smiling because GRANDPA! <3 <3
But I will have to take it back… this does smell dated/old- far older than the 70s. And unless you like/love vintage notes/styles– you may want to steer clear of this.
Superb lasting power! And 12 hours later, it’s less mossy, more wood, and now more “perfumey” and floral again. Kinda like original “orange” Dial liquid soap. What a win!
Also 100% unisex. This is still going on my tissue test 4 days later, and it’s a very clean green and kinda fresh… a clean smell for any gender.

I disliked it so much that I washed it off after fifteen minutes.
It had a chemical smell, like cheap hairspray in the 80’s.
    I sold it for$2 online.

Going through my collection today, I’m now aiming for quality over quantity. No more buying just cause it’s cheap.
What was I thinking when I bought this? Horrible, harsh, chemical industrial floor cleaner stench – I guess that to me oakmoss and geranium arent a good combination? No, I think it’s the strong geranium thats the major problem.
Not even bathroom spray worthy – straight into the trash.
I have quite a few with oak moss that I love (eg. original Halston, Ted Lapidus Creation, Animale Animale, Histoire d’amour) because they must have used better quality.

Considering this can be grabbed for five to six bucks, I have no issues with this fragrance. For me, it started out with a clean bite like fresh cut flowers and the old formula of Herbal Essences (before that line got all fruity). After about fifteen minutes, all I get is oakmoss, and that lingers steadily for hours. Oakmoss is a divisive smell, one that some detest and some (like me) truly love, so if you aren’t sure about yourself, this fragrance is a cheap experiment. Because of the intensity of the clean greenness, I wonder how this would behave in hot weather. The cozy freshness of oakmoss seems to me like it would be a perfect antidote to a sweaty, muddy, port-o-let-y summer festival.

I detest this perfume. I gave it away to my friend and haven’t looked back since. My friend LOVES it. It reminds me of an old church lady perfume, similar to Chanel no. 5 (which I am not a fan of). It’s far too strong and I confused this with another Charlie perfume that my mother wore when I was a kid…Charlie White musk and red. Yeah…just no.

Initially disliked this one, have had it for about 7 months. Now I rather enjoy it. Starts out smelling rather cheap and screechy but dries down to a very lovely oakmoss base. Kind of musky, kind of rosey, sorta smells a bit clean… but not *too* clean, if you know what I mean.

If you like the forest pine needles smell of the original norsca deoderant you will like this. Usually perfumes attract honey bees due to their sweetness in this case, beware of attracting grizzly bears.

I was a little confused by the reviews here as they vary a bit. I wasn’t sure what to expect. Even the notes in the pyramid were a bit of a surprise prior to my first experience with Charlie Blue.
Anyway, I had a sniff from the atomizer yesterday and was surprised to find it sparkly and sweet! I did a double take of the bottle to make sure I’d picked up the right one. Yes, Charlie Blue. Hmm…
So today I sniffed again…same. I sprayed on my hand. Bright, sparkly floral top notes. Very reminiscent of Diva. A few minutes later it started to evolve to a much more mossy scent, which I was loving, big time. I loved the top notes too.
I was so pleasantly surprised I thought I must go back and get this next week.
As the afternoon wore on, I realised I could smell a very soapy kind of scent and discovered it was coming from my “Charlie” hand. Not so keen.
Now, an hour or 2 later again, I have sniffed my hand and it is a distinct rosy/geranium scent, still a little mossy. Very nice.
I’m not sure it’s enough of a love to buy, even at such a brilliant price. But for a bargain basement fragrance, it’s unbelievably good. Perhaps that’s why Charlie has endured for so long.

I recently acquired a bottle of this for around $6.00. Testing it today for the first time. You might have to call me crazy, but this smells to me like Chanel no 19 edt, the version from the late 90’s, early 2000’s. I wore the original Charlie in the early 80’s. Loved it, but this bears no resemblance. Still, I love no 19,so how could I not like this one? Waiting to see if there is a dry down at all. I swear there is oak moss in this bottle, here in 2017.

You may be experiencing some disapointment simply because Charlie and Charlie Blue are two entirely different fragrances from the Charlie line.

when i was a kid, mom used to wear the charlie cologne, it was from overseas, it smelled so up class and amazing, this blue is close to that,i just bought it today for my own collection, love the subtle musk and floral in this. just like jovan musk, i love this for indoors, at night it smells fantastic, like the 80s and 90s, weekends, i dont know why but it gives me feel of iris note of Dior Homme, at a very good price point, longevity is decent, very unisex in my opinion, sophisticated and classy.i will always have a bottle, this is my childhood in a bottle 🙂

So similar to the original. Why did they bother? Even harsher than the original. This is going to my boyfriend’s mother, a major Charlie fan.

My partner’s late grandmother bought this for me as a Christmas present about 4 years ago so this fragrance has a sort of sentimental value to me. My first impression was that it wasn’t my sort of thing as I’m more into sweet, fruity and gourmand scents. I still used it and came to enjoy and appreciate the fragrance more and more each usage. I am currently wearing the fragrance along with Rihanna’s Rebelle and I absolutely love it. It’s a great fragrance to layer with and also lovely on its own. It’s a very unisex fragrance. Great longevity and sillage and amazing value! A very interesting fragrance 🙂

I dislike this one very much ( sorry the honesty) but when I was in a shop and tried it on I was so embarrassed by the alfuw smell! I want to wash my hands asap! Maybe because the oak moss? Sorry for the lovers below but I still prefer my Charlie Gold and the Red one. This one is not my cup of tea.

Sorry for my english by the google translate. The first
minutes the perfume smells very nice to think that you
bought a cheap and good perfume. After a few minutes it smells like cheap perfume as it is. Smell smoke, skin, feces,
flowers … It’s intense fragrance and fashioned only for old
    ladies.

I blind bought this online for only 3’53 Euros postage included. So for that price I couldn’t resist to try it. I must say that I’ve not recollections associated with this perfum since I can only remember the original Charlie being sold in my country during the 80’s and none of the flankers. And also the original Charlie wasn’t overly popular here. So I first smelled it without preconceived notions. Well, at first smelling it is quite sharp. Pencil sharpeninhs, lipstick, roses and A LOT of indole. This is quite the beast. But after 30 minutes this becomes tamer and even refreshing. It’s quite retro and totally unisex. It’s unique and interesting, even if I don’t love it I think I may wear it a lot because in moderation this feels very fresh and cheerful in this heat. I think there’s a lot of oakmoss in this, which I love, and has a soapy, clean make up vibe after the dry down. Also it’s very hippie and somehow a bit aquatic. A bargain not to be underestimated.

Fun, cheap and cheerful. Great if you’re not in the mood for a floral. I’m going to try layering this.
If you want something more upmarket try Marbert Woman.

Whenever I smell this perfume it reminds me of a classy and elegant women. I myself love oakmoss, which is very noticable in this one. Longevity: 7-8 hours. 9/10

  33. :

    Massive amounts of oak moss.
    Just oak moss.
Perhaps this could be a good base to layer with others.
    I’m going to experiment.
    UPDATE
I’ve been swanning around in Vanderbilt today, and now my perspective on Charlie Blue is that this fragrance be best described as ‘sturdy’
A signature scent for Miss Trunchbull.

My mother used to wear this, and it reminds me of her kind of woman, beautiful, intelligent, powerful, knowing what she wants and exactly how to get it. She wore it since its release, and my father would buy her the big bottles every birthday and anniversary.
To me it’s a classic oriental, without much sweetness or fruitiness to dilute the gorgeous sandalwood and oak moss. I can’t pull it off (as I can’t most fragrances with a lot of sandalwood) but it will always be the embodiment of a confident, assertive woman to me.

  35. :

It’s my first time to try it and I find it manly on the first spray… it takes me back to the memories of old times where classy women wear fragrances. It is kinda soapy and spicy at the same time but turns out to be cool and musky as it dries down. It reminds me of the scent of my mudpack himalaya herbals. I like it because it smells like no other when I am on the crowd. Not overwhelming and sexy..

    Woo
survive the opening bug spray blast and you get a nice mossy floral great for summer. Its a little retro like Imari. Its DNA is like the original Charlie but I don’t get the originals florals. It’s a great buy and price is right for those desiring a clean fresh scent. This is an oakmoss monster so if u adore oakmoss…grab this one

I admit I use to be a terrible snob, until I tried Charlie Blue and Charlie blue Eau Fraiche. They are so lovely and something about both of them make me happy!
The Fraiche has more sparkle and uplifting.
The Charlie blue (in the darker packaging) is elegant and smells so luxurious.

  38. :

This to me is the ‘skeleton’ of the original Charlie fragrance known as ‘Charlie Classic’ or ‘Charlie Original’ It has many notes of the original Charlie missing such that I tried to answer my own question as to whether Revlon created Charlie Red, White and Blue so that customers could wear each as a stand alone scent or together resulting in a scent that equals the ‘Charlie Classic’/’Charlie Original’ making a play on their original being the all American woman scents, but such is not the case because the Charlie Red and Charlie White are not composed as skeletal stand alone fragrances of the ‘Charlie Classic’/’Charlie Original’ and have different scent notes not in ‘Charlie Classic’/’Charlie Original’
I got my bottle of this free because one of several vendors are showing a photograph of the ‘Charlie Classic’/’Charlie Original’ box and bottle and describing it as such, then sending customers ‘Charlie BLUE’ Since my order was placed via Jet.com they were prompt in their resolution standing by their policies for error free orders.
FYI to online shoppers and vendors everywhere: ‘Charlie Classic’/’Charlie Original’ box and bottle does not have the word ‘BLUE’ anywhere on it so please check for that when buying online! For online retailers/sellers, please do not misrepresent your listings with photos and descriptions that lead your online customers to think they are buying the ‘Charlie Classic’/’Charlie Original’ fragrance!

I paid £2.99 delivered for 100ml of Charlie Blue, considering it a low-risk blind-buy based on the positive reviews.
Unfortunately it didn’t work out for me. The opening of Charlie Blue is quite hideous; an overpowering blast of breathtaking spicy, woody musk, and I thought, oh good grief.
However, we all know that perfumes can give out the wrong first impression.
I waited a bit, and after around 10 minutes it had calmed down to something much less suffocating, and instead was a still-strong spicy woody musk, but in a good way. I considered that whilst it isn’t perfect, it was good enough to keep and use occasionally to shake things up from what I usually go for (i.e. actually like) because it was so cheap. It is also extremely potent; one spray to my hand left me in an inescapable Charlie Blue bubble.
However, around 40 minutes in, my bubble went pop. It had lost its spice and smelled like burned wood still smouldering, and not in the nice “snuggly winter bonfire wood-smoke” or “smokehouse” way. Just acrid burnt.
I’ll give this away and chalk it up to experience, glad I tried it anyway.
TL;DR: Powerful opening. Unpleasant burnt wood dry down. Very potent. As always, YMMV.

When I first smelled this two years ago it was a complete hate, ack ack ack, I was reeling. I tested it in a Boots The Chemists shop, and I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I could not believe that anyone would want to smell this.
Then I moved on from the assumption that first impressions are the full stop. And I decided that if a scent is disliked by many and loved by few, it’s worth investigating!
Lately I’ve been craving uncompromising floral aldehyde type scents that have survived (uncompromisingly) the vissicitudes of the 1980’s, 1990’s and the naughties/noughties. I re-tested and bought (in Boots) Charlie Blue on a “out of the blue” whim last week and am enjoying puzzling it out. A soapy spicy floral fuzzy smack in the chops! It’s really something.
Rich and colourful and clean and totally uncompromising. I’m looking forward to getting to know this scent.

    Edt:
I can relate the scent to the listed notes but I associate the whole fragrance as a mix of baby powder, incense (an earthy variant) and lotion. It’s definately spicy, musky, earthy, aromatic and woody. The sandalwood isn’t as intensive as the geranium, rose and oakmoss.
I understand the concept but I wouldn’t use it yet I don’t hate it, it’s just a compositions that doesn’t fit my taste in perfumes.

My mother use to wear this along with Ralph lauren Safari and gloria vanderbilt. These three fragrances always remind me of her. I saw Charlie blue for a steal and thought heck I will add this to my collection. I actually like the fragrance. I love the spicy ness of the scent and the way it envelopes my skin into something softer. it smells like perfume not lollies or a fruit platter. This fragrance reminds me of beautiful by Estée lauder, Safari by Ralph Lauren…. Fragrances that smell like a good, strong perfume! My boyfriend doesn’t like it and says I smell like a Grandma. This makes my heart sink a little but really that’s his problem!

I gender bend fumes but Charlie Blue is on my Men table. It’s so much like the woodsy, spice and even Orientals I have in the male category. Main difference is Charlie Blue is more a “light” men version. It feels Men Eau Fraiche without being Charlie Blue eau fraiche. I love it. Great price and I get what is a solid musky fragrance tempered with some nice floral.

I know that when I wore Charlie back in my early high school years, it was the original Charlie, not Blue. So I recently went out and bought it again. I returned it and got Blue instead. They are remarkably similar (virtually identical to my nose) yet I like Blue better somehow. I honestly don’t know though, if I would normally like this but it has such a strong nostalgic connection for me. But who cares? It’s loud by today’s standards but it is an incredibly long lasting and powerful scent. Can’t get that from any other drugstore scent. I’m referring to the EDT btw – have never seen other versions.

Low cost with OK quality. Charlie Blue is my favorate of the Charlie series. Longevity and sillage is very good. This is for independant strong woman, not the sweet feminine type. Oakmoss, geranium, musk–i remember the American movie《Little Women》Katharine Hepburn played Joe. Yes, this is a perfume for a girl like Joe.

Just got this and I have to say, while the smell isn’t too unpleasant it’s just not for me. It feels more like a mature scent, I feel it would fit to wear for someone who is over 35 rather than someone in their 20s. It does stay pretty long though which is nice.

Time warp to the 70’s.. O.M.G. Dad is driving a brown Ford Cortina with a black roof (same as the one in Life on Mars), Mum is wearing beige flairs and ABBA are number one. How does this get a dislike? Maybe you had to be there. Personally I wish my Star Wars T-shirt still fit me. This is a stone cold classic. Everyone should try it, preferably whilst watching Wonder Woman.

I am baffled. How on earth is it possible that this fragrance reminds me in the drydown of one of my favorites ever: Vent Vert from Balmain. It’s hard to say it, I hate to say but… it is. Beware that Charlie Blue grows on the skin, just like Vent Vert does. The warm, cosy and very comforting smell is definitely in the drydown. Where I live Charlie Blue is available now for only a few bucks in a shop where one can buy plastic furniture, fake flowers and synthetic underwear. Please don’t tell Charlie. She deserves better. But ofcourse I am gonna buy myself a bottle as soon as possible.

10 years ago i can love this fragrance so much but now i only like it. I think that is the power of time. Normally i don’t like todays sugary, fruity scents and i prefer fresh, green, a bit old fashion scents. But todays era and fashion to impact all of us. It become very sharp which i love ten years ago.

Sometimes I fantasize that one day during the seventies, the people in the Revlon fragrance department put their heads together to figure out how to make the old European perfume houses lose a few market shares to them…
    Let’s see…
We cannot reasonably try to compete with them, let alone outdo them.
No way we are going to stoop to IMITATING them.
They have got a few weak points though : Their products are luxury goods many women can’t afford and they tend to have that “stiff upper lip” quality which can be seen as outdated by many.
We are going to make a fragrance with more or less the same structure and notes as in their classics but it is going to be accessible to every woman and it will be modern and fun.
Let’s replace the distant hieratic femme fatale who grants you a smile once in a fortnight with the hard working but nonetheless extroverted and flirty american business woman !
Yes, They have Catherine Deneuve but we have Farrah Fawcett…
Charlie Blue reminds me of several chypre fragrances that I like/love . Particularly of vintage Empreinte and Cabochard, without having their wonderful subtleness.
But in a way, that is what makes it so special to me. It feels more spontaneous and approachable, less intimidating. This composition is to the Chypre genre what Helena Bonham Carter’s dress sense is to retro/romantic clothing . A bit messy, eccentric, creative, intriguing , unique and consequently polarizing.
I have read tons of reviews about Charlie, and that is the reason why I left it so late before I wrote one : It seemed to me that everything has been already said .
But then, there is one thing which apparently I am the only one to experience with this fragrance , and it is its saltiness.
Yes, my nose picks up something salty indeed, and it is neither a faint nor a flitting note, it is there from beginning to end. To be more precise, it is also aromatic, spicy and vaguely foody. Looking at the pyramid, I am clueless as to what it could be, but I see that coriander is listed among the original Charlie’s notes, and on other fragrance sites I have seen tarragon leaf mentioned.
I also get a big soapy rose as well as a good dose of moss.
As far as the wearability of Charlie is concerned, although it does have a strong sillage, it certainly isn’t anymore overwhelming than for example TM Angel and Alien ; I recently got my hands on a bottle of the Eau Fraîche version and it is indeed less potent, perfectly appropriate for daywear/the workplace.

Charlie Blue is strong and powerful yet much more appealing to me than original Charlie. I see the relationship but Charlie Blue is like the hipper more androgynous daughter of a 70s star. I like how its both botanical and musky but its not dirty nor clean musk more animalic. My kitty likes this and Shalimar when I wear it. You people who have trouble with longevity should try the Charlie line they are very long lasting, as are most Revlon scents. Im not sure exactly what time of year is best probably autumn into winter but this tie of year (Jan) is good too.

I bought this because of the review and the article about it on this site.
This is a HUGE perfume. The silage is enormous and it lasts forever. It is extremely floral. I do not get the wood, spice and earth on me (at all) as I expected because they are the first listed notes.
I am sure it smells lovely on some people but for me the floral is thick, sweet and cloying. I could not get it off.
It felt like someone was holding me first down in a huge vat of flowers in varying states of freshness and decay. Reminds me of a florist shop or a funeral.
It reminds me of Boucheron Boucheron. And I clearly do not love Boucheron. I will be giving it to someone who loves florals. Nice try though for an inexpensive bottle of perfume.
If you like it, you will be happy as it lasts forever and it is super strong.

Clean and sparkling. Long lasting. Inexpensive.
If you love Joy, you will like Charlie original and Charlie Blue.
There is something woodsy about this, a chypre smell to me.
I think this is a wonderful value. And I do use this one for layering at times as it makes a wonderful base. I will spray this on my skin right out of the shower and give it a bit to dry down. Then something that meshes with it on my clothes.
A coworker mentioned to me that I really never needed to try another scent because she thought mixed so well with my chemistry. Always nice to hear.

This perfume has a quality ,that some other big names could only dream of , but for some people it might be too strong.
The only solution is to take advantage of the high longevity and sillage and combine it with a too soft ,too sweet ,too smoky ,too unwanted one 🙂 .Bet everyone has such “quality” mistakes in their collection.Instead of selling it to others and increase the number of unhappy people of this planet ,better use them for dilutions and enhancers of those who have too much power and sillage.
Some wonderful creations can come to life and we all are happy to learn some new “receips”.
    Happy combining .

I think I am the only person who’s skin swalows Charlie Blue and leaves just the tiniest trace! I read all the comments and I bought it blind as it was less than £4 online, for 100ml!
I don’t think the scent is unpleasant, specially at the start, smells rich, powdery and glamorous and involves you like a warm blanket, you should not overspray on this phase. But then, on me, starts fading, in a couple of hours I have to smell really deep to get the traces, which is musky and soft.
So this is the conundrum; on my skin it deffinitelly needs more that one aplication but then I am afraid it will lose this soft, vintage, sultriness people talk about and I
