How’s the sillage and projection for this?
I bought a small sample from eBay, I can barely smell it! It has extremely bad projection and longevity.
zxc5zxc – :
I was lucky enough to get my hands on a bottle without paying too much markup and I just tested it today at work.
2 sprays on top of my hand an immediately every woman within 100 feet of me was clamoring to find out what I had applied. Insane projection to open, and unfettered entusiasm from the women in my office, one of whom asked for a spritz to take home.
I’m looking forward to testing the longevity, but I don’t think I’ve ever tried anything at the office that received such unanimous adoration.
The ginger and cardamom opening gets about 20 thumbs up, and I’m looking forward to the cedar on the drydown.

To my nose it’s a mix of vintage CH Men and YSL La Nuit.
Amazing fragrance!
It’s a pitty that this is only limited edition and discontinued 🙁

I just got my bottle and sprayed my arm, first a blast of sweetness and ginger a soft ginger that reminds me of dior homme sport. Its a very nice fragrance with a similarity to ch men just a bit fresher. After a couple of hours the sweetness is gone and all you get is the ginger and woody notes which smells like dior homme. I dont know if its just me but it smells like a better version of dior homme sport.

I think everyone before me has nailed it in regards to their reviews. Very similar to the original. Bit of a subtle ginger thrown in there to call it a flanker lol. Ladies love this one as much as the original. I like it even more. Top shelf worthy.
VeryBusinovoup89 – :
Really nice! By far the best CH Men flanker that I’ve tried (which is all of them except for Africa). This actually reminds me a lot of the original CH Men before it was reformulated, as it really taps into CH Men’s fresh spicy sugar/maple sap component which smells kind of like the sap on a pinecone. What makes Central Park special is the addition of ginger, which has reinvigorated it, really creating what feels like a spring version of CH Men. The ginger is bright and aromatic, and the fragrance itself has a nice diffusive levity to it, never feeling heavy or bogged down but instead projecting confidently with a soft, bouyant consistency. It’s a very relaxing, comfortable scent to wear as well. While it isn’t heavy or dark, for the most part shedding its leather components altogether, it’s never sharp or citrusy either, and doesn’t get caught up in trying to smell “fresh” by using all the typical tricks of the genre that often appear in ‘sports’ fragrances and aquatics. It’s a relatively simple scent–this sweet, aromatic ginger over CH Men’s trademark sugar accord–but it works.
Is Central Park worth owning if you have the original? It depends. Are you a huge fan of the line? If you are, then this is definitely a worthwhile edition that you will enjoy. Are you a big “seasonal” wearer? If so, then I think a good argument could be made for owning both, as Central Park really seems like the perfect spring/summer version of the scent. This is the group I fall into, so I don’t mind owning the two. However, if you’re just a casual wearer of scents, I could imagine both would get redundant, in which case only owning one would be best. Either way, they’re both very good and you can’t go wrong with one or the other. Thumbs up for this relatively under the radar flanker, and great seasonal addition to the CH Men line.

I wasn’t a huge fan of a CH Men when I first purchased it 5-years ago, but when I pulled it off the shelf when it was being hyped in 2014…well, I wanted to smack myself because the ladies loved that sugar cane sweetness, and I fell in love with the sweet leather drydown with just a seductive whisper of a powdery accord. The 2009-2013 version of CH Men are perhaps the best date-night/under-the-sheets men’s fragrance combination ever. Sadly, newer formulations of CH Men are not nearly as good IMO.
Thankfully, I have all the CH Men flankers: Africa, Central Park, Grand Tour, Sport and Prive and, after sitting in the Scent Armory for the past six months, I finally got around to opening Central Park this weekend and I freaking love this fragrance! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! To me, Central Park is very similar to my always empty 2011 vintage bottle of CH Men (strong CH Men family DNA) with the following differences:
-Sugar Cane sweetness is knocked back 50%
-Sleek & sexy cardamom accord at top and heart
-Cardamom smells sweet (not spicy) due to the sugar cane
-Ginger is faint and overpowered by sugar cane
(nice because I feared CP would resemble YSL La Nuit)
-No incredible soft leather and seductive powdery accord
-No Worries…lots of other notes and things happening
-I detect the note of wicker-basket in the top notes
-Detect suede along with soft powdery accord in drydown
Performance is okay but could be better; it lasts 6-7 hours on my skin (which is fine) but projects only moderately and becomes a skin scent after 2-3 hours. Overall, this is a terrific fragrance and, in my opinion, a more wearable and more versatile version of the original CH Men. Slightly lighter but it retains all of the CH Men character with just a few differences.
I was so impressed with Central Park that I went ahead and ordered two more bottles since I always want to have this one in my Scent Armory. Moreover, I have two 2013 backup bottles of CH Men and they are becoming harder to find. If you’re a fan of CH Men…this one is a no brainer.
FYI: the listed notes pyramid is garbage…add cardamom, ginger cedar and suede to the CH Men notes pyramid and that will get you in the ballpark.

Wonderful scent. Very classy. The dry-down reminds me a lot Dolce & Gabbana The One for Men.

WOAH WOAH WOAH!
I really love the original CH (before reformulation), but this one, OH ZEUS! It’s fantastic! The ginger is great!
I need this one! I really Need It!

CH Men Central Park is the latest release of Carolina Herrera within the CH line, continuing the tradition of the annual limited editions (launched in pairs), after CH Grand Tour (2014) and CH Africa (2015). The new duo CH Central Park was announced in March of this year and is already on sale in Brazilian stores, since the middle of May, which means it had an excellent distribution strategy. The inspiration was the famous Park of New York City, considered a green oasis in the middle of the city that never sleeps.
CH Men Central Park brings notes of ginger, grapefruit and peppers (pink and black) on top of the composition. Then, in the body of the fragrance, a main note of cardamom is intertwined with nuances of violets and black tea. Finally, at the base, cedar and vetiver give a woody aspect.
When reaches the skin, CH Men Central Park is refreshing and presents a beautiful scent of ginger. The feeling of open air, as if we were lying on the grass on a Sunday morning, watching the sky while children play around us, is quite enjoyable. Then, a nuance of black tea takes over, being slightly seasoned by the cardamom and resulting in a fragrance a little bit spicier. But there’s something sweet in the air! It’s the violet, with its sweet and powdery facets, which insists in appear and show that is also part of this escape moment, in which you forget the problems of the daily routine in big cities and enjoy the nature. Finally, the woody and luminous scent of the cedar merges with the vetiver, this time more green and open than earthy and smoky.
On my skin, to be honest, the projection was very modest, but the durability was good: more than 8 hours in temperatures under 20°, since it is winter in Brazil. Something tells me that in warmer weather it will have best results, especially, regarding projection.
CH Men Central Park is, without a doubt, a daytime scent, a tribute to the days of summer (that is why it is a summer limited edition). It’s herbal, woody and spicy, with an aroma quite distinct of tea.
Its bottle keeps the visual identity of the CH Men line, but received a rattan finishing, which is obtained from the Malaysia Palm trees and processed manually, in order to provide a unique feel to the touch.
With this release, the house of Carolina Herrera proves that it is still possible to create refreshing fragrances, with good versatility and without appealing to the sportive category. I liked it very much!

I just read the first paragraph of the review below and I was thinking like that: this is a softned CH Men, with a different sweet tone basicaly on the top notes; while the top notes are fading, and after that, I get the caracteristic CH Men smell, but more smooth than the original. This sweet top is puzzling me, probably is the ginger mixed with everything else, but I´m not sure. This cap that protects the bottle (the name in english is escaping me)fits well that caracteristic smell of CH Men. Considering everything, this is, for me also, a more wearable version. But in the last few days that was cold around here I find myself finally enjoying the last sprays of my now empty bottle of CH MEN.
M.D.W. – :
What I get out of this is basically a more wearable, better smelling version of CH Men.
I’d say it’s about 50% the same juice. In fact without comparing them side by side, you’d never know this was a different fragrance (akin to blind smelling BDC EDT vs EDP, or Chanel Allure Homme Sport vs CAHSEE). While I’m wearing it today, I basically feel like I’m wearing a brighter less cloying version of CH Men.
Comparing them side by side reveals that this fragrance is indeed quite different and “fresher”. I’d say the freshness is a combination of L’Homme Libre and GIT. There’s definitely a sweet green note to it like in GIT, and I distinctly smell many of the same notes that are in Libre. One could also say this has a 212 Men vibe.
Projection is a bit better than the original CH Men, as it’s a brighter fragrance. It projects really well for 1-2 hours, where as CH Men for me projects only about 1 hour. I’d also say the longevity is a smidge better or about the same. After 3-4 hours it turns into a skin scent with the same sweet powdery dry-down of CH Men that ends up lasting an additional 2-4 hours or so.
In the end, this ends up being a better, more wearable version of CH Men. I think it will completely replace CH Men in my rotation. I don’t think there’s a situation where I’d pick CH Men over this, as they are so similar in style, and this one just works a bit better overall and annoys me less. It’s simultaneously sweeter and fresher.
Compared to the rest of the fragrance world, is it a unique or great fragrance? Not really. It’s pretty much a generic, mass appealing “mall counter” fragrance, just like CH Men, which I happen to love.

Got this one a week ago, took the plunge on a blind buy because I’m a fan of the original and the prive.
Really love this one, smells closer to the original but the ginger really gives it a fresh vibe. Already had lots of compliments on this one already.
Projection could be a little bit better but I’ve came to expect that from CH frags now. That’s not to say the projection is bad cause it isn’t. It’s got good longevity too.
I’d totally recommend this one as a date scent especially in the warmer weather.

CH Men Central Park Review:
When I first saw the notes for this one, I immediately thought that this would be Carolina Herrera’s take on the L’Homme line. I just wasn’t sure whether it would turn out to be more like the original L’Homme or La Nuit. Well…I was wrong.
While it does have aspects that remind me of that fragrance line, it does share similar notes after all, it is far closer to the original CH Men. This surprised me because the notes are completely different, but the similarities in smell are undeniable. It’s as if the perfumer looked at the original CH Men and wanted to do a slightly different take on it using new notes. I would say that this is a “fresher” version of the original. It opens with a bright ginger note that grabs your attention immediately. That gives way to the the spicy cardamom, the key player to my nose, and cedar. This actually does remind me quite a bit of walking outside in the Spring. It’s certainly a nice addition to the CH Men line.
I like this fragrance, but I don’t love it. I still prefer both the original and Prive. Still, this is a nice alternative to wear in the warmer months. Especially if you happen to find the original just a bit to cloying in the warm weather. It’s certainly a far better choice than the dreadful Sport version.

I smelled this on the other day and its smells a lot simillar to the original. Some freshness that cames from ginger but its only that. I like it but i think that its a “meh” release. I still prefer the original and the prive.

Very sexy fragrance, first buyer in harrod knightsbridge… when i smelt it i was about to faint … everyone needs to try it out , its amazing .. got a ton of compliments whilst wearing this.

Looking at the notes, I imagine this being more a mix of CH Men and L’Homme Gingembre
Sasha.Timofeew1987 – :
With that bottle design this could be called “John Varvatos Artisan Park”. I’m not sure if this will compete with La Nuit, but I am fairly sure YSL would come out on top. I imagine this being a more casual springtime scent which is easy to wear and more versitile than La Nuit. I am excited to try it but after loving CH Men and disliking Prive, I will definitely not blind buy this.
vitall1208 – :
Ummm…CH Men is a classic lady-killer that I refer to as Ted Bundy and it sits next to my bottle of Jack The Ripper (aka Creed Aventus). I have Grand Tour, Sport and Privee and time-and-time again CH Men smokes the flankers in just about every side-by-side sniff test: CH Men–>followed by Prive/Grand Tour–>with Sport bringing up the rear.
While I had no desire to purchase a bottle of Africa (even then they were selling for cheap on eBay) this one has me somewhat interested: woods, ginger and cardamom blended with that CH Men DNA? Sounds like CH Men La Nuit L’Homme. We shall see.
