Description

Summer cocktail Amor Amor Sunrise was introduced in 2009, as another one in a line of Cacharel Amor Amor editions. This perfume is juicy, fresh and fruity, just like a summer cocktail in a glass by the pool, decorated with raspberry sorbet and luminous grapefruit, along with light and sweet pineapple zest. Besides fruity ingredients, the fragrance features patchouli, amber and musk. Its flacon is white, decorated with a pink-orange flower, with the name of the perfume written in the same nuances. The perfume is available as 30 and 50 ml (1 and 1.7 oz) edt.

Still an Amor Amor scent but more toned down and fresher. Its not as warm and sweet as its cousins but still a very good perfume.

An Amor Amor addict, I ran out as soon as I could to smell this one.
    *Love*
It starts off very fruity and sweet with a slight fizzy quality, which I put down to smelling like a fruity cocktail. One an be forgiven for thinking this is a deep as it goes with all the ‘summer’ frags on the market, but Sunrise goes further and in the dry down, loses the sweet fruits and leaves with a musky grown up sweetness.
It’s a sexy kind of feel, but not overtly strong. The lasting power is fairly good for an EDT.

Wonderfull. Its so fresh and frutty. I like it better than Escada seasons parfum.

Maybe in the top notes when it’s just sprayed you can catch the berry scent, but is it a raspberry?
Much more of pineapple and grapefruit. But the most noticeable fragrance note is an ethanol…
Dies very quickly on my skin, and leaves some kind of patchouli-musky scent with dried fruits and some chemical effect (year, ethanol again).
In 15 minutes it settles very close to skin and even I may notice it only if I take a deep breathe with my nose pressed hard to the wrist. Also the lasting power is weak.
It could be good because of pineapple and grapefruit and the idea to accompany them with patchouli and musk, but it failed with all the ethanol and cheap chemistry making it one of every second perfume made by Avon. Sadly enough, but why to pay more? Why should one buy a quite costly fragrance with a cheap smell instead of buying a cheap fragrance right away? 😉

There is something strangely wonderful about this slightly soapy and musky orange fragrance.
Although competing with many new releases that are also dominated by orange eg. Boss Orange and Ralph Rocks, this fragrance interests me more. It’s different, fascinating and truly captivating.
Instead of being loud and outrageously fruity, Amor Amor Sunrise sits lightly on the skin, the musk making it smell very natural and comforting. This isn’t your typical sugary, candy-like orange, raspberry and grapefruit opening, Amor Amor Sunrise is pretty and soft, shy almost, but very realistic, not synthetic at all.
I could sit here smelling this fragrance for hours, it has a beautiful Summery freshness to it which isn’t likely to sour in humid weather. The lasting strength so far is pretty good, and the sillage is fairly close to the skin.
This fragrance is for lovers of soft fruity scents, perhaps even lovers of clean, soapy and refreshing fragrances will love this. Whoever you are, and regardless of what you like, I urge you to try this fragrance because you may just surprise yourself.

I do not agree with Ester and perfumes addict. This is not the most unusual perfume ever but it is somewhat unusual. I tried it today and I must say it was neither exactly powdery nor musky but had both those “feels” to it and at the same time it was a subtle, not in your face statement of “I am cute but I do not have to flaunt it”. This perfume suits its name, I think. It is as captivating as a sunrise but modestly making its entrance to the nose. It is not an oriental by all means but it has lasting power. I think that it would make a very good everyday perfume to the office or out to town and it is certainly good enough to have your man nuzzle next to you to smell it. 🙂

i couldn’t agree with you more, Ester. every year it’s the same story. i lost track of all the “summer” editions… and they’re all the same anyway.

It was about time for another Amor Amor…NOT..What is it with all these flankers, I mean it’s only like six month ago that they’ve released Amor Amor Tentation. I must admit that I own all of the Amor Amor’s except for the eau fraiche ones. I’m curious how this one will turn out, wasn’t impressed by Amor Amor Sunshine, quite similar name btw..
Gotta add that I think the bottle is hideous..
Does anyone know when it hits the stores, can’t find it anywhere…
