I can’t believe this is the first review! I just got this so definitely need to spend more time with it, but this seems to me a cross between the rich, golden, aldehydic sandalwood of Sonoma Scent Studio Champagne de Bois and the arid, diffusive sandalwood of Santal 33. It reminds me strongly of both, even though they are so different. I don’t think this will have the sillage or the strength of either of those, but then few things do. There also seems to be a hint of old fashioned sandalwood shave soap, but that may just be me being fanciful and nostalgic.
