I don’t like this. I was expecting something more green and herbal, and this is more perfume-ish with fruits and flowers and powder. Disappointing.
But you can’t lie and say it is simple. It is layered and complex. And they chose to go in some weird directions with this scent. It’s fun when they play around with their limited editions.
The patchouli at the base is very deep, and if you get a big whiff it gets in your nose and stings.

Soapy, but in a good way. This smells like luxury soap that you would get in a high end hotel. I do get some of the greenness of carrot blossoms, or Queen Anne’s Lace. I get fennel in the background, coming to the forefront every once in a while, and some softness from the musk. I didn’t love it at first, but I have gotten many compliments, so it may move up to a love by proxy.

Very unique piece of creation.
Fennel is absolutely the winner in this scent, giving very intriguing, green and refreshing beginning of this herbal story, yet again, it stays present whole time.
Fennel combines wonderfully with carrot blossom and rose. Perfume is gentle and feminine, but again has that secretive earthy and perplexing note of herbal concoctions. It really has that earthy sweetness, but not in a way that sweet citrus and flower perfumes usually smell, it is at the same time intriguing and refreshing, puzzling and bright.
As I said before, Fennel really uplifts and gives special signature to this combination.
Diptique and Jo Malone have both very peculiar, mystical, alluring and uniquely wonderful pieces in their collections.

Update: To me, it doesn’t smell like Sienne l´Hiver Eau D`Italie, not any olive note. And is it a coincidence that I got an almost INSTANT headache after applying? Either way, it isn’t special enough to keep wearing. Glad it’s only a SAMPLE.

The opening is stunning. It took me back to a childhood memory … so strong, yet I couldn’t pin it down. It took a couple of days ….running through the medicines I’d tasted in my earliest days, for I was sure that was where the memory lay, ….and then it hit me …. gripe water. It smells like woodwards gripe water used to taste when it had alcohol in it, and sugars, and flavourings.
I like this scent, and I like it more than the others in the herbal collection. Our local Jo Malone store sold out of this one very quickly, but were kind enough to get the tester back for me to try, and to try again. Will I buy it, should it reappear? Probably not …. not while Blue Agava and Cacao still has my heart.

This quickly becomes my signature! Carrot and apricot are so rich and sharp, long last on my skin about 5-6 hrs. See rose in pyramid but I can’t find in it.
My secret formula : 2 sprays of Carrot Blossom and Dior Higher = Heavenly!

Just gave this to my mom as a late birthday gift – it’s wonderful! I’m not getting laundry fresh, but it’s definitely clean. Only slightly sweet, the fennel doesn’t steal the show here.
Very soft, but has interesting an dimensional feel – wish I had grabbed one for myself so I could leave a more detailed review.
By far my favorite out of the bunch!

Out of all five limited edition fragrances, this is the only one I bought. I tried the others but they did nothing for me, this one was very pleasant and fresh. I might have to get a backup of this one as it is a lovely clean and fresh scent.

What a surprise! Out of the whole range of the limited editions, this is my favourite. It’s a lovely green peach scent, and it works on me, even though peach scents usually turn distasteful on my skin. The carrot is very recognisable on the inital spray, but not be worried, it fades away quickly, leaving only its sweet essence behind with a hint of fennel to compliment it. Well balanced and uplifting.

I cannot pick any notes! This is very clean, laundry fresh scent. How did these herbal notes turn into laundry fresh? Nice tho but not so much on the skin.
