Description
“Inspired by the Burning Man art theme for 2016—da Vinci’s Workshop—this perfume is based on a drawing that da Vinci created to illustrate a book about sacred geometry, De Divina Porportione by Luca Pacioli. Da Vinci did a series of drawings and sketches for the book that are both beautiful and fascinating. Many of the complex shapes were rendered in colored ink as both solids and skeletal forms, all with da Vinci’s precision and attention to detail. Their interesting shapes and the color of the old ink really spoke to me and inspired me to create a perfume that reflected one of the drawings specifically, a red dodecahedron.
Burner Perfume No.7: Red Dodecahedron is a fruity-oriental with an unusual apple opening. Each note used in the composition relates to the shape, texture, and form depicted in the drawing. The Spice and Black Pepper top note accord, paired with Apple (the apple note is implied, there are no apple-scented compounds in this design), hint at
the airy openness of the skeletal form and give a rusty, red hue that reflects the antiqued red ink of the drawing. A rich, fruity Rose/Chamomile Accord follows, further reinforcing the colors and roundness of the form. While we don’t know for certain, it is likely that da Vinci would have made a model of the dodecahedron to draw from. I imagined such a model made of a light weight wood with a slightly rough texture. This material and texture inform the base notes of the composition, a Wood Accord that features Mysore Sandalwood, Limbwood, Patchouli, Frankincense, and a bit of benzoin.” – a note from the brand.
Burner Perfume No 7: Red Dodecahedron by Aether Arts Perfume is a Oriental Vanilla fragrance for women and men. This is a new fragrance. Burner Perfume No 7: Red Dodecahedron was launched in 2016. The nose behind this fragrance is Amber Jobin. Top notes are spicy notes and black pepper; middle notes are rose and chamomile; base notes are woody notes, patchouli, olibanum and benzoin.
