This scent is interesting. It’s called Amber and it does have Amber qualities, but there’s no Amber in it. For me it is a mix of woody notes and sweetness. It’s sort of like walking past one of those booths at the fair where they’re carving bears and salmon sculptures out of logs. A mix of cedar, fresh wood chips and sweetness. Amberesk and a tad boozy at first. I don’t smell butter or cocoa as specific notes.
There is however a strange note that makes me thing of an old cedar house that’s been closed up in a damp environment for too long. Now that’s unpleasant. Unfortunately I have had the experience of smelling this first hand and once I made the connection it completely ruined this scent for me. And THAT people is why you need to use your fragrance sample for awhile before you run off and buy it. I actually liked BPC Amber at first. Maybe it will be a different experience for you.
