Description
Boston Tobacco Leaf is a perfume oil introduced by Nomaterra in 2013. The highlighted ingredient, Tobacco leaf, lends a raw intensity and a deep, smoky aroma to this composition. Topped with citrusy notes of neroli and grapefruit, with a spicy floral heart of rose, cardamom and basil, the tobacco leaf is joined with vetiver and benzoin in the heart for a fragrance that conjures a sense of intimacy, ideally felt sitting on a Sunday night by a fireplace in late autumn.
Boston Tobacco Leaf is available from Nomaterra in a travel-friendly 10 ml roll-on fragrance based in natural jojoba oil. Boston Tobacco Leaf was launched in 2014. The nose behind this fragrance is Agnieszka Burnett.

Scent – neroli tobacco, with a vetiver basil base.
Season/Time of Day – I prefer to use this one in the warmer months, day or night.
Projection – I didn’t get noticed, I didn’t get a compliment.
Longevity – I get 8hrs consistently.

It smells like Texas!! Lol, but seriously- it smells like a bit of unflavored chewing tobacco plus leather plus pepper. At first it is kinda nasty, but wait for 10 minutes- and it settles into a nice warm leather/tobacco smell. Very masculine.

I’ve been looking for the perfect tobacco fragrance, and this one is it. It has the benzoin and vetiver scents that you would expect in a tobacco scent with other unique notes that make it memorable.
It is warm and sensual, and slightly spicy with a hint of citrus and floral that is unexpected and sophisticated–a touch of something light to contrast the complexity and depth present in this scent. It is a touch smoky and balsamic like a good tobacco fragrance should be, without being overwhelming or “one note”.
The wear is great; it is quite high sillage and lasts all day. I like to wear this in the evening, and when applied in the late afternoon, it is present through even the latest evenings. It is definitely a masculine and a bit mysterious, and unlike any other tobacco scent.

Sexy, deep and sophisticated. It’s an earthy, masculine scent not for the faint of heart. I personally like to wear it in the Fall/winter months, as the key notes that most come out on my skin are tobacco, leather, and benzoin. After about an hour I did get a sense of an exotic, masculine rose note, which definitely made this scent very interesting and refined.
