When I first smelled this from the bottle it reminded me of bath & body works cotton blossom. It does last long on skin but only as a very light skin scent. I’m not a fan of musk, but thought I’d give this a try as some people say it smells like clean skin or soap, it doesn’t really smell like either to me. It’s just a light inoffensive scent. I do enjoy some of the body fantasies scents, cotton candy, pink vanilla kiss, pink sweet pea and twilight mist, they’re nice, last a reasonable amount of time and are great value for money.

For the longest time, I was quite unsure how I felt about this body mist. I remember walking through my house when I was younger and smelling this, but shortly after sneezing like crazy (That tells you the sillage was pretty good lol!). My mother has been wearing this for years, and just recently I decided to start wearing it. I really love clean musky scents, and I had to mature to really appreciate this fragrance. I must say, this scent is quite nice! Upon first spray, the alcohol and white floral notes take over for a few minutes. However, on dry down the aroma of a soapy floral shines through. After a few hours, the scent really does simmer down to a simple clean musk. Scent stays pretty close to the skin on me after about two hours. While I would say the longevity isn’t terribly long (I’m thinking some sort of reformulation), you really can’t go wrong with the low price tag! Since they sell this in different size bottles, It’s great to carry along with you, if you like to refresh. Before I end this review, I should also mention that Dollar General sells a White Musk body mist that is nearly identical to this one! It’s only three dollars for a 6 fl oz bottle, and it’s by Fresh & Pretty. I must admit, it’s stronger in terms of longevity – as opposed to Body Fantasies fresh white musk.

Nothing particularly unique about this one, a casual white musk with nondescript white florals.
I had the Prince Matchabelli version when I was younger which I remember being really fond of. Since it’s near impossible to find now, I bought the current version by Parfums de Coeur to see if the scent has changed.
While still recognizable as Fresh White Musk, it has the trademark “plastic” smell that nearly all drugstore and BBW body sprays/mist have after being reformulated.
For the first few seconds the combination of alcohol and plastic made me nauseous, but the dry down is the scent I remember. I’m a little disappointed but grateful that it’s still in production, widely available and affordable. I still think it’s nice and prefer to have do enjoy wearing it layered with a few other scents but it feels incomplete on it’s own.
I should also add that aside from all having white musk as a base, Jovan White Musk and Al Rehab White Musk are completely different scents. I have not tried the others but I think it may also be the case.

I have the EDT version. I think I prefer this to both the body shop white musk AND Jovan. I have to be in the mood for a white musk but when I am I think this is the one I’ll reach for. It’s fresh, clean yet slightly animalic, not at all over floral or over synthetic. Pretty good bang for your buck I’d say 😛 UPDATE: I spritzed this on my wrists last night before bed and I can still smell it this morning so while the silage is close to the skin this one passes my longevity test

Body Fantasies body sprays are just hidden gems of the drugstore in so many ways. I can’t remember a time when I haven’t owned at least a few of these at a time and I always loved receiving them as gifts as a younger girl.
I remember for my 5th grade graduation (many, many moons ago) I got a set of four or five fragrances from Body Fantasies and Fresh white musk was in it. I remember not really loving it all that much back then but I used it all up until it was gone and just never thought of it again.
Fast forward to now, and I’m pleased that I revisited this fragrance after 15 or so years! For whatever reason I thought that I didn’t like musk in fragrance or things that were deemed as “musky” but I suppose I just had the absolute wrong idea about them. Musk can be so lovely and it adds depth and longevity to fragrances, but it can also be so shower or powder fresh and smell so clean and cuddly and inviting. In this case, Fresh White Musk smells so clean and fresh and just a bit animalic in a lovely, lovely way. On my skin it seems to last a very long time, and fragrances never last that long on my skin even if they are an Eau De Parfume. I think that says a lot about the quality of this body spray. I think it’s top notch and you’d have to be silly to turn your nose up at it.
It might not work for everyone’s skin chemistry which I definitely understand, but I think that this is such a classic that you have to acknowledge the fact that it is a beautifully simple fragrance. I recommend even blind buying because it’s so alarmingly affordable.

This thing is heaven, very masculine, yet very gentle and sweet.
The musk is so addictîve mixed with white flowers, perhaps jasmine.

Update -Animalic musk, can sense white flowers, jasmine, lily, tuberose, and maybe sandalwood, or a spicy white lily, yeah I think it’s a spicy white lily.
It can become thick, do not spray too close, asthmatics beware,

I love musk, to the point I even enjoy the way ferrets smell, ferret musk 🙂 Being a girl who lives with 2 large dogs, and 5 cats; I can tolerate and enjoy most smells and basically EVERYTHING smells better than poop, pee, and puke 🙂 or wet dog. or dog farts…. lol Anyways! back on point..I enjoy this perfume, it is not my favorite. Within this Fantasies Signature collection my favorite most definitely is the Twilight Mist. This Fresh White Musk is probably my 2nd, 3rd, or 4th favorite within the collection. It’s a toss up sometimes depending on my mood and circumstances.An interesting thing I noticed between this scent and Twilight Mist is when I removed the cap and took a big whiff of the liquid, Fresh White Musk burns as if taking a whiff of cheap concentrated vodka. I removed the cap of Twilight Mist, whiffed, and I couldn’t detect any vodka/alcohol at all, it’s amazing. That is now another reason on my list why I like the Twilight Mist better than this one. I did that test right before typing this review.
This fragrance really is mostly just MUSK MUSK MUSK. It is not very sweet/sugary or delicate smelling & the floral note is so minuscule that is is virtually nonexistent. However it is still not totally harsh, there is a soft gentleness to it, probably because its powdery..I do agree it does turn into a powdery smell, not soapy smell. I don’t think it ever smells soapy, either fresh out the bottle or hours later. The smell is more or less depending how much you douse on yourself. One/two little spritz goes a loonng way. It does not remind me of clean laundry although I totally get why others would get that, and probably depends on what you’re using to do your laundry (?). In my opinion it does layer well with many other scents especially the clean sweet fruity florals
It does last a long time. I can always smell it on myself when I get home from work after 6-10 hours however long my day is. But I am not the type to only spray my skin. I try to avoid spraying my skin. I prefer to spray my clothing. I feel uneasy about coating my skin in alcohol and other chemicals… and the scent seems to stick around longer on the clothing vs the skin anyways. Fragrance will still mix with your body chemistry when its on your clothes. So for ME it definitely lasts allll day.
I think Fresh White Musk is great for the cost for those whom enjoy musk, and/or those whom just like to have variety for life purposes. If you don’t like musk at all, or don’t like the musk to be prominent in the fragrance then do not get this one cuz as I said it’s really just MUSK MUSK MUSK.

I just….can’t. I am no perfume snob- I love cheap thrills, but this one irritates me so bad. Every time I try it, I like it at first but it gives me a horrid headache and to me it smells dirty. Almost like you haven’t showered and are trying desperately to cover it up. With that said, it has potential if it had some creaminess to it but for me it’s a no go.

A creamy, fresh musk with sparkling overtones. This brand’s “powdered sugar” signature base balances-out the musk very well, so it’s still recognizable as a musk but never ventures into “sweaty” territory. It almost smells like skin about an hour after taking a shower with creamy, basic bath soap.
However, as with all these basic musk scents, they are often gentle and inoffensive but distinctive, so if you don’t like the slightly ripe, animalic note of musk, these one note, musk soliflores are not for you. But if you love it, “Body Fantasies Fresh White Musk” is one of the best.

This has been my signature scent for years and go through an 8 ounce bottle per month. I still receive compliments. This is lighter and less powdery than other clean musks I’ve tried.
The scent can be sharp and intense upon spraying. However, once it mellows on my skin, it smells fresh, clean, and soft with light musk and floral notes. Two strangers approached me and told me that it’s like clean laundry drying on the line mixed with skinned warmed by the sun. That was nice of them to share! I don’t notice any powdery notes once it mellows.
Sillage: About 3-4 feet. Coworkers at neighboring desks about have told me that without looking, they know if I am in the office when they pass my desk, just based on the light scent in the air.
Longevity: About 6 hours.
EDIT: As of November 2015, I have noticed a change in the scent when spritzing the air – an increase in the powder aspect of the scent, overpowering the floral. It not only smells different in the bottle but it smells sharp and powder-heavy on my skin. I can no longer smell the scents that I love and will be looking for a new clean musk.

Fresh and light. I received a little cologne spray of this scent as a gift. Upon first spraying, it is very powerful! Even after several uses, I still cough every time I first spray it. But almost immediately after it settles on my skin, I get a fresh, soft, airy musk with a touch of floral-light powder, in my opinion. If you have tested this and had the same experience as I did upon first spraying it, please just give it a chance to settle…you will not be disappointed! I often have problems with so-called “clean” musks, as they often smell either like chemicals, or have an excessive amount of floral notes which overpower the musk (as with Jovan White Musk). However, Fresh White Musk is an excellent fragrance.
The musk is very much the “clean laundry” variety, only very slightly animalic, but does not have that nasty chemical odor which can give me a headache.The floral note is light and somewhat powdery, and complements/supports the musk rather than taking over.
It’s a fairly linear fragrance, with only a small increase in the musk towards the drydown.
Longevity is on the high end of moderate, and is best if combined with the scented body lotion. Sillage is pretty good, although on the lower end of moderate. This is not quite a “skin scent”, but close.
Fresh White Musk is, in my opinion, the best musk I have tried for “office” situations, as well as casual daytime dates.
However, it is too light and breezy for evening occasions.

I hate the first couple of minutes because it is so sharp, screaming white floral. (Like Jovan I hope will like it after try for more days) Musk never disappointing me. After give a chance, sharp white floral not bother me anymore, I became more like it, and love every layer of musk.
The cool thing about musk, it blend well with your body chemistry, heat or weather. Its smell more white floral on me in air conditioner room. Leaving my bedroom with fresh animalic smell at night. Sometimes, more powdery or citrus/spicy musky on hot day. Weird huh, how can be so wonderful!
EDIT : Many people ask me if I wearing Body Shop White Musk. With lower price, BF Fresh White Musk is so good! Longevity much better.

That said, on me it is truly nauseating. Nothing clean or pretty, more like an industrial chemical overdose. Skin chemistry at fault…..again.
White musk is no great masterpiece, obviously, but more than decent at this price point. Give Body Fantasies brand a try if you enjoy cheap and cheerful thrills! My favorite so far would be Signature Vanilla ( see my review ), based on it’s richness and long life on my skin. An amazing price point for the longevity and sillage, as is true of many from this line.

I bought a little 1.7 oz for a couple of bucks for the fun of it. I may have a funky batch, because it starts out with an almost caramel-ish scent over the musk. It dies away fairly quickly though. I wore it to the store yesterday after dousing myself in it. Very hot out, and the local Walmart seems to think its customers don’t like air conditioning during the summer so it’s humid and warm inside so I was fairly warm the whole time. I was curious if it would sort of change once mixed with my chemistry (aka sweat LOL), and it really didn’t. It stayed very consistent and just pleasant and light. A good choice in this kind of weather. Very long lasting. I can still smell it on my arm, and it’s been over 12 hours since I put it on. It reminds me of white musk body spray that was sold at a store I worked while in college. It wasn’t a known brand, but it sold very well and a lot of my coworkers bought it as well.

Love this! I have always used one of the Jovan musk cologne sprays(either Musk or White Musk) as my casual, “running around town/going to kids’ sporting events” kind of scent, but I have been reaching for this body spray instead lately. It’s a little less floral than the other two (which I still love!), and the body spray lasts all day. It seems to get better as your skin warms up, too. A warm, friendly, inoffensive scent that is very easy on the wallet.

When I was young and broke and living in an apartment with two girlfriends (who were also broke) the three of us shared a bottle of this and sprayed with abandon on nights out.
The cool thing about musks is that they don’t always smell the same on everyone. Even though it was the same bottle, it smelled more white floral/animalic on me, more powdery on one roommate and weirdly more citrus/spicy musky on the other. Let me tell you though, we all smelled good!
As I recall, the formulation from the early 2000’s had insane projection too. A great price to value ratio and highly recommended for what it is.

I am definitely a white musk fan, and was given this by a fellow Fragrantican who knows my penchant. It’s a really delightful white musk, everything you would want–clean, fresh, a tiny bit floral; the musk even has the smallest hint of animalic undertones, which gives it nice character but never ever gets dirty. Never powdery, never shrill, this is simplicity at it’s finest.

I admit that I am prone to a little mild perfume snobbery here and there and don’t often give drugstore mists much of a chance. That being said, I found a bottle of Fresh White Musk on clearance recently and bought it on a whim. I just tried it yesterday for the first time. All I can say is WOW.
This scent completely shocked me. At first it is sharp white flowers and powder, and when it calms down is still powdery and musky… but after a half hour it is honestly one of the best musks I have ever worn. I have tried Jovan’s White Musk, which gets really good reviews, but found it too powdery for me. The powdery-ness of Fresh White Musk is all but gone after the first 30 minutes, leaving a fresh, sweet, clean fragrance that is GREAT for everyday. It doesn’t last long on skin, but on clothes it has some serious staying power – I could still smell it on the shirt I wore yesterday this morning. As far as drugstore fragrances go I think this one is exceptional. As of right now I can honestly say I love it, and I hope it never goes anywhere. For the price you really can’t ask for much better. If you are in the market for a good every day musk take my word for it – give this one a try and WAIT OUT the inital scent. It just might shock you, too.

This is a really light and sweet musk. what I don’t like is that it sits really close to the skin and seems to fade very quickly. If you aren’t looking for a heavy cloying musk this will do ,but it will require multiple aplications through the day.

This scent seemes to be very popular among local women and I smelled it on so many girls I lost count. Its very clean almost soapy musky scent. when I tried it, one spray actually lasted several hours and considering that its body spray, its pretty awesome. This type of scent is not my cup of tea but for anyone looking for clean musky fragrance, I highly encourage to try. Especially since it lasts such a long time and so cheap!

This jewel has LONG been a staple of mine. Between this and Jovan White Musk, these are spring and summertime favorites! Unlike Jovan though, this one is missing a warm note that makes it wearable during the winter months. I ADORE this stuff, again, this brand seems to know what they are doing as their body sprays have the lasting power of an Eau de Parfum. This fragrance smells MUCH more expensive than it really is and I am ALWAYS asked what I am wearing. This used to be sold in Canada but sadly is no longer so I have to order from the States 🙁 I make sure to order a handful of bottles at a time 😀 I used to work as an insulator and I would come to work in the morning and I could hear all of the plumbers and tinbashers whisper amongst themselves “Mmmm, what smells SO GOOD??” and “Where is that smell coming from?” and “Oh, thats the insulating chick, she always smells like that.”…this baby is a garaunteed crowd pleaser, I LOVE and will NEVER be without this! 😀

Back in 2001-2002, I was a senior in high school and had this drugstore body spray in my small fragrance collection. Back in those days I only had three or four proper perfumes ( Lancome’s Miracle, Ralph Lauren’s Romance, Cacharel’s Noa, and Carolina Herrera’s 212.) I would find myself reaching for this body spray quite often despite having designer fragrance options. Ten years later I have a much bigger collection and I find myself wearing this even though I now have designer and niche options. I don’t know why I feel so comfortable in this, when I think of the scents I wear and repurchase the most it is usually those love/hate fragrances; because those are the ones I don’t tire of. I love this even though I hate the first couple of minutes because it is so sharp and I almost sneeze after spraying it. Fresh white musk is pretty long lasting, not just for a body spray, for any fragrance. It lasts all day on me, and the crazy thing is it actually transforms just like a good quality perfume does. There is a very shrill, white flowery smell at first, almost too clean. This doesn’t last long because it is a musk and it does have that earthy almost unisex type of smell that comes in after the screaming white florals. It stays deep and earthy but towards the end of it I mostly smell of expensive face cream. I love this for when I’m not out to impress anyone, I’m just running around doing a million things smelling clean and slightly dirty at the same time. It’s pretty distinct in my opinion, I can differentiate between this musk and other musks. It’s a good musk to have, not my favorite (that would be Kiehl’s) but I have kept it around for ten years because it works. It makes me feel like I smell pretty good and I haven’t tried very hard.
