People say that when we try to go back to old loves it just doesn’t work anymore: we have grown, changed, nothing is the same anymore.
Same comes to perfumes, and I must admit it is true.
    Except with this one…
I had it many, many years ago when it first came out. I was very young but i remember I loved it as it was some precious jewel (even the pink box and pink juice, and the “jewel” on the cap fit the whole story perfectly) and it was very special and dear to me.
It was perfect: fresh and awakening, classy and at the same time girly, strong and long lasting but also delicate and kind of “pink”, fragile scent.
All in all, a very uplifting and happy perfume.
Then it got discontinued (like many other jewels).
And now, like almost 20 years later, I managed to find it on ebay. I was scared to buy it since I haven’t smelled it for so long and had no idea how will react now.
But surprisingly this is the same amazing beauty, and the feeling and the beauty it evokes in me is the same. It is BIG true Love again, and I am happy beyond words that I have found it. I can’t believe that now, after hundreds of fragrances this one does the same magic.
There are still some bottles around, if preserved well the juice is still good (a bit sharp after the spray, but it disappears in few seconds). So, yeah, “Blumarine II” lovers – go for it!

First of all I want to confess:I’m the guilty one mention Magnolia which is not in composition but is very strong to my nose. Also a trail of chocolate which is also not there!
Sorry if misleading you,is a matter of personal sense!
For me,is something very near to a signature perfume.
Is very refined, very elegant, not outloud but there, extremely feminine and somehow chypre/floral but fresh and vivid also.Nothing outdated here.
As you understand,I can’t detect any notes correct, but the overall feeling is great and I have a 100ml bottle holding as a treasure while-shame-is discontinued!
Go for it if you have the chance! You’ll enjoy it!

I wore this years and years ago (2000ish?), before I knew a single thing about fragrances. At the time, I thought it was a soliflore rose scent!(Back then I’d decided “my” scent was “rose”, so I wore only fragrances that seemed to smell of rose.) I loved it back then as what I thought was a fresh, “rosy”, yet elegant perfume. To me it smelled like it was along the lines of Kenzo d’ete…but, like I said, I knew nothing about what I was smelling. After Stella McCartney Stella came along I forgot all about this one, and I wish I could smell it now!

One of the members from “Club” has just reviewed this as being an “amazing magnolia perfume”??? Can’t see any magnolia mentioned – was going to give it a try but from what other members have said probably won’t bother. Does anyone else smell magnolia?

This perfume strongly reminds me of one of Avon’s heavily perfumed scents from the early 70’s, though I can’t recall which one as I haven’t smelled those in more than 30 plus years. Nice scent though, to wear on occasion for a trip to the past, but not something I could wear daily…

@tsofa: aldehydes? no wonder you could not detect any because there aren t any in it (see pyramid and description)…. the classification from fragrantica in Floral Aldehyde is obviousely WRONG.
by the notes this one sounds really interesting to me, as i m a huge fan of lotus and rosewood ! will order a mini and review asap.

    I absolutely adore this one!
More spices than floral and such warmth. If I had to find a fault it is in not lasting more than a few hours at best, but is re-application so much trouble?
This is my present go-to for daytime use. Seasonless I think and never fails to amuse those around me. A little hard to find but worth the effort.

I had discovered this by accident a long time ago and since I’m a fun of aldehydes I gave it a try.
It was really weird because I couldn’t detect any aldehydes in it, just some flowers and lots of wood, especially the base notes were too strong. The lasting power was medium and the bottle was pretty, nothing special.
Overall, I wouldn’t purchase it for myself, maybe as a birthday present for a friend. If it’s still out on the markets of course, here in Greece, although I don’t think so anymore.

buenocrb it is fascinating how some fragrance just fits to some person. I simply adore Fahrenheit 32 but still experimenting with other perfumes.

This scent is truly the most amazing scent I’ve ever smelled. Each time I wear it, I will always get compliments and questions as to what I have on. It’s sometimes hard to find, but worth every minute spent searching for it. I love it. I give it a 12 on a 10 point scale!
