Last June I photographed a wedding which took place in Big Bear, CA. Due to the horrendous fire that moved through that area, much of what had been planned didn’t quite happen. One of the results was the need to cut wildflowers to supplement the purchased flowers. Some of the ladies cut local stock plant in hues of purple and magenta from nature paths around the lake. The scent was astounding. For a month after, I searched for a scent that was like those amazingly fragrant, spicy stock blooms. But I was unsuccessful. Tonight, as soon as I opened my sample of Bluebird perfume oil, I was instantly transported back to the fragrance of the beautiful wildflower bouquet gifted to me at that wedding.
