I really wish there was a neutral scents for fragrantica because this isn’t a bad fragrance and I don’t exactly dislike it but if I had to pick between like and dislike I’m just more of the dislike side of things.
This has 1 of the WORST openings in the fragrance game and it smells like the chewing tobacco Copenhagen in the beginning which is really unappealing. However, this does get slightly better as the harshness subsides and the citrus comes out making this more appealing while the suede comes out making this more smooth.
On my skin this doesn’t exactly smell like a clone but it smells slightly similar to Terre d’hermes. I might be wrong but I think Avon was trying to make a more pleasant wearable version of that scent. It is not as pungent but Terre D’hermes smells a lot more expensive and sophisticated.
Also on that note this a more mature scent made for more luxurious occasions but honestly I have better scents for those settings.
Performance is not great… It lasts 3-6 hours with soft projection.
Overall rating— 5 out of 10 ! I can see some people liking this but for me this was a scent where the quality reflects the pricetag

Essential is a very simple scent, it’s not going to rock your world but in it’s simplicity and inoffensivness it’s a solid wear for certain occasions.
The only thing detectible to me is Lavender with a little citrus, it’s a pleasant fragrance.
Silage is close, longevity is OK if you’re happy enough with a skin scent.
A perfect “safe for work” fragrance.

I used to date this guy who wore this sometimes.
So this is what i detected:
    1) LAVENDER
    2) LAVENDER
    3) and Suede (very faintly though) in that order
I also never noticed the mandarin as i never knew that it was one of the notes.
Sillage with average application does not travel throughout the air I rated moderate- radiates within arm length. You would have to be standing right next to that person in order to notice it. After about 2-2 1/2 hours it begins to dim dowm. I was able to still smell it only if i put my nose close to his skin.
That’s all folks.. just another uninspiring so-so scent.

Weak longevity, soft sillage, but the scent is actually pretty nice. Would’ve been better if it lasted longer…

It’s not a unique or original scent, smells like Versace blue jeans on my skin, but in very weak version, 30 minutes and fades away…

well its actually the fifth Black Suede scent
Black Suede, Touch by Black Suede, Black Suede Leather, back in 2011 Avon Malaysia has release Black Suede Edge ( the actually forth Black Suede scent ) which is not in the data of Fragrantica… and Black Suede Essential the fifth “brother’ of Black Suede..
basicly i dont really like the original Black Suede but Black Suede Edge was pretty good… worth to try..

This is actually the fourth Black Suede scent.
Black Suede, then Touch by Black Suede, Black Suede Leather was third.
There were wonderful scents from bygone era like Cordovan, Blue Denim and I hope this might harken back to those…but I’m not holding my breath. I will be getting a promo bottle very soon and posting a review.
Hopefully this will be as good a flanker as Far Away Exotic was, it was IMO the best direct market scent of 2012!
