I really like this one. Its a nice creamy vanilla cinnamon scent in its drydown for me, and i can’t wait to see how it is in the fall! I think this is definitely a nice fall/winter one from Dame.

Wore this a few times and every time I put the perfume on it reminds me how similar it is to the dry down of L by Lolita Lempicka, except for the lack of cinnamon and sweetness. I honestly think Black Flower Mexican Vanilla is too well-rounded and hence is just okay – there’s no daring character that makes it stand out from the rest of the vanilla crowd, especially compared to L – that’s one fantastic airy, spicy, floral vanilla!
However my partner is very partial to this perfume. I wore this on our anniversary and he actually gave a damn and asked if he was smelling my perfume: “It smells really nice!”
Apparently it’s just me that doesn’t get it. Ha!

This is lovely, warm, happy vanilla. Like hugging your favorite teddy bear from childhood. Or getting a lovely hug from your mom. Or when she told you “I love you”. It inspires a soft and safe feeling. Mr. Dame really captured what really makes vanilla the most popular scent in the world. And most popular ice cream flavor. This feels like your favorite feel good or inspirational movie. No matter how often you see it, you feel a balm in your heart. The price point and the quality is superb. My only pique is that I feel it doesn’t last long on me. I also like my vanilla with almonds just because my chemistry seems to work best with that. But as far as perfume goes, trust me when I say that this is very much worth it. If you blind buy it, you will be pleasantly surprised. If you are by some miracle not, I will assume you insane. Song equivalents: Jason Mraz’s “The Remedy”, “Summertime” by Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff, “West End Girls” by the Pet Shop Boys, “Fields of Gold” by Sting, and “Paradise” by Sade. Yes, this perfume made me want to listen to these songs when I wore it. It felt right. Yes, all are very different from each other but it serves to evoke how different yet consistent the spirit of the scent is. Hmmm…like Baymax from Disney’s Big Hero 6. I know, I know I’m wonky but didn’t you love that giant marshmallow of character?! The words I’d use to describe it… sophisticated, ethereal, cheerful, rustic, comforting. This is one of the rare times where “one size” really does fit all.

This is amazing! This is a warm and sensual fragrance with sweet vanilla and caramel along with spicy nutmeg and Tonka. A must have. Perfection!

I wanted to add that I keep wearing BFMV combined with Shalimar Souffle, almost daily. They complement each other very well. BFMV helps tone down SS’s persistent bergamot that makes it feel too cold for me. It warms it up and deepens it and I get compliments daily.

I actually don’t like vanilla, honestly I don’t, and I even try to avoid fragrances that feature it in any particular prominence.
BUT, clearly you are all so convincing in your reviews that when I was ordering my beloved Earth Mother, I couldn’t resist adding this.
On me, an ever so slightly bitter creme caramel sauce type of vanilla emerges, it definitely also has a baking aspect to it. It’s lush but contained at the same time, it’s not sickeningly sweet, it’s addictive.
Now, while I still can’t say I am a vanilla enthusiast, I keep wearing this and although it’s not a favourite, I can’t bring myself to consider parting with it.
This review is for the oil version and I’d like to add that the body cream is wonderful: rich, long-lasting and excellent quality.. love it

One of my purchases was the small BFMV body creme. Started putting It on my face just because. This is addicting. You face glows, you smells clean and delicious close Up and you can indulge without wrist cracking. I really like his cremes and im not that type. Too tomboy to take the time, till now. Quality of feel, noticably far superior to anything mass marketed.

Oh my, I found my favorite vanilla perfume. This is a comfy sexy fragrance. my boyfriend does not like perfume he loves this. mr. Dame is generous and kind I ordered two samples of this fragrance and received five extra samples and a small tub of his face cream. I love the face cream his business practices will surely gain him a devoted fan base. I can’t wait to try my other samples this vanilla is slightly gourmand but very sexy and sultry. Delicious, creamy, with a touch of spice. Definitely fb worthy.

This is impressive. A hint of nutmeg and it goes through every vanilla scent you can imagine, changing from candle to kitchen to baby powder to intensely creamy and complex.
Sadly, it seems to linger on a couple of the vanillas I care for least. I am impressed with it but it isn’t destined to become my favorite vanilla.

Is there something wrong with me? The reviews of this frag are absolutely glowing but to me, I smell nothing but a hollow, plasticine vanilla that’s absolutely unremarkable. Maybe I’m just not a vanilla person like I thought I was. What I love about vanilla (quality vanilla) is that low, sensual hummmmmmm of warmth, carnal and intoxicating. What I get here is nothing shy of a cheap body spray from the mall. Really underwhelming. I wanted to love it, I guess I’ll just keep on the lookout for my dream vanilla.

What can I say about this amazing perfume. I received a sample and it was love at first sniff. I use to be into tooth achingly sweet vanillas, but this is perfect. It’s not really a sweet perfume per say but more of a vanilla extract, spicy, slightly smoky vanilla. The first day I wore it I got 2 complements. One was from my husband and he rarely gives me complements. I will always have this in my collection. It’s signature worthy for sure. I highly recommend you try it, you’ll be hooked!

???wtf??? how is incense not the first note? This is a complete incense and even patchouli bomb on me, with a light splash of vanilla and lemon. Smells like Penhaligons tragedy of lord George. Clean but dirty incense and deep dark vanilla.

Have this in a sample spray. It’s glorious! I’m stuck inside on an unusually hot day here on the central coast of CA. I’m loving it..so good! Sweet, but earthy. Want to smell this more and more..ordered two 5 ml decants from Dame. They were sold out of larger. I Love that they have free shipping!!❤️❤️
    Soooo good! 10/10

Note: This review is for the perfume oil version of this scent.
This is a beautiful rendition of vanilla. Initially, I was a bit concerned reading all the reported fragrance notes but rest assured, this is all about the vanilla.
While I’m usually not a fan or orientals or vanilla-based scents (I don’t mind smelling them, in passing, on others but they always seem too sweet, high-calorie and one dimensional for personal wear), I grew curious about this because I’ve seen it described on some other fragrance boards as a vanilla scent for adults.
Indeed it is. It’s a dark vanilla, without the cotton candy (candyfloss to some). It’s sexy (to me), dry and during its wear, it seems to shift and turn to reveal itself slowly. Sure, there’s some lemon up top, a small hit of caramel, a dusting of nutmeg and something indistinguishably floral that you can’t quite put your finger on, but there’ll all present to support the star, the vanilla…and prevent it from ever being perceived as sweet.
Here it is late August, I’m wearing it in the heat of high season in the French Riviera and never did I have the impression that it was “too much”. Heat actually makes it bloom rather nicely.
I’m really enjoying it and will probably empty my bottle in short order.
    Beautiful work, Mr. Dame.

This is a sexy, sultry, complex fragrance that I can’t wait to wear for the fall. It has so many layers that are revealed the longer you wear it.
The top note is, of course, vanilla. It reminds me of a salted vanilla caramel with a hint of musk. Definitely for a mature woman.

  18. :

I dislike vanilla. I love this. It is a burst of citrus then caramel and vanilla/tonka. A dry, boozy cooking vanilla. It’s not sickening sweet nor totally gourmand because of the mix of florals, citrus, musk, patch and vanilla. The vanilla is prominent but tempered. It starts out sweet, citrus and powdery with some floral but not vanilla; dries down to a spicy, warm, creamy rich amber vanilla.

If you are a perfume fiend, and your partner is not — a sadly common combination — this might be the scent for you. Rich, deep, and satisfying enough for the connaisseur, but highly likeable to the uninitiated or even to the mildly scent-hostile.
There is something lovely and soothing about this fragrance. It seems perfect for a late afternoon or evening in, and for renewing a sense of comfort and pleasure after a trying day.

It’s like going to a small family owned grocery store. When you walk in, it’s cramped and warm inside, and the staff is helpful and cordial. You smell spices and candied preserved fruits. It’s a warm and welcoming scent. I’d wear it when we have a lot of people coming over to our house. By the way, i love the photoshoot for this perfume

Absolutely breathtaking, perfect vanilla…not too sweet and not too spicy…great price point of $85 for a huge, beautiful 100ml bottle that will last…don’t let the ridiculous amount of fragrance notes listed here and officially scare you…this is a perfect vanilla without added sugar or smoke…this is PERFECT…

Black Flower Mexican Vanilla is warm and cosy like merino wool sweater on a cold and rainy day. Black Flower Mexican Vanilla is tasty like the lingering smell of Mother’s freshly baked cupcakes with vanilla cream topping at the wooden summer house in the middle of the summer. Black Flower Mexican Vanilla is sensual like a kiss on the neck. Black Flower Mexican Vanilla is deep as love itself. Black Flower Mexican Vanilla is one of the most beautiful vanilla fragrances I’ve ever encountered. A must try for all vanilla fragrance lovers, men or women.

  23. :

Gorgeous, deep, masculine vanilla. Unisex enough to be worn by (some) women, but sooooo appealing for men’s wear. Not recommended for the office, however, unless you are looking for a date!
I feel a black leather/tobacco note not stated, which draws the wearer in and reminds me of Remy Latour Cigar Black Oud. (I have the highest respect for this particular cheap treat – smells niche and very, very good.)
In conclusion, worth a try for any balsamic vanilla lover. Black Flower Mexican Vanilla is downright seductive. Five star!

I have had a sample vial of this for some time. I recently really began exploring the world of vanillas.
I have gourmands, regular straight up vanillas, etc. What was truly missing from my collection and what I had been yearning for was a true oriental vanilla. So, tonight on a whim, I grabbed my vial of Dame Black Flower Mexican Vanilla and tested. It absolutely ticked all the boxes for me. This is not a gourmand, tooth achingly sweet vanilla. This is a gorgeous, sultry, spicy, comforting, grown up oriental on a base of beautiful vanilla. I’ve also had the pleasure of trying Mr. Dame’s many other blends and they’re all masterfully blended, subtle beauties.
I can see myself enjoying this all year long. I instantly bought a large bottle. Speaking of…what a fantastic price for such a masterfully crafted scent. 85 dollars for 100 ounces is such a wonderful price point. Thank you, Mr. Dame, not only for crafting such beautiful scents but for making them attainable.

I haven’t met a single thing from this house I’ve disliked, maybe not loved for me, but nothing that I’ve had to scrub, and this is no exception.
This is a dry and spicy vanilla, not so much a gourmand as it is an oriental, and is one of the few scents I feel could truly be unisex, and I rarely say that, most things either play decidedly masculine or feminine to me, even if they are intended for both genders. This has a really smooth balance that seems to play up the chemistry of the wearer.
There’s a baked earth note, likely from the Patchouli, and a leathery one, likely from the nutmeg+tonka that seem to amplify on my husband, while the floral notes seem to smooth those out and stand up on me.
There are so few houses I can wear so many scents from, and this is one! (Great customer service, too!)

Black Flower Mexican Vanilla is a beautiful woody/spicy vanilla, deep and alluring, exotic and creamy, rich and delicate too, and a little smoky and dry. It’s lovely!!! Soft and comforting. Sweet and smooth and elegant. Luxurious very luxurious. Quite intoxicating. In fact, I love it more and more, the more I wear it. It has quickly become one of my very favourite perfumes, after having worn it off and on for a couple of weeks – I’m becoming addicted to it!!! It’s very popular amongst my friends! Everyone loves it! Especially my husband. It’s very natural smelling and entirely captivating!!!
And the bottle is superbly made, with the exquisite artwork on the label. Beautiful.

This opens up with WAY too much nutmeg for my liking. After the strong nutmeg and bitter citrus fade it is a lovely, softly spiced, elegant vanilla. At this point it smells like a more mature and natural version of L de Lolita Lempicka. Overall it’s nice, but not the dark vanilla I am looking for.

Mature Vanilla in the best way.
Im beginning to get worn out on the sweet vanilla gourmand train. It seems most houses on the market have some kind of vanilla driven perfume.
When you think youve tried them all, along comes DAME. Its a very enjoyable grown up vanilla, much like the extract you can purchase in mexico, and other additions like caramel, and citrus to keep it from veering into a sweet frag thats been done too many times. I love the spices, the dryness to it..its a luxe vanilla that has a point of view and thoughtfully designed. Well done, and full bottle worthy for the cooler fall temps.

This is really, really good! Black Flower Mexican Vanilla smells like a rich and delightfully not-sweet vanilla, dancing nicely with citrus, florals, and spices. The drydown is a wonderfully long lasting, comfy blanket of scrumptious vanilla, floral and spice. I have tried both the perfume oil and the edp spray, and found that for me the edp spray has the greater sillage and longevity. I will use them together, year round but more so in cooler weather, when the perfume oil will provide a welcome extra boost of moisture retention. Definitely a favorite!

I am writing this review, in between deep whiffs of my inner wrists. Black Flower Mexican Vanilla is on the dry side and not very sweet, which is refreshing in a vanilla scent, unless of course you *want* to smell like a walking, plastic cookie. You won’t find a synthetic smell here, just a creamy, slightly spiced vanilla with just enough citrus to keep it bright.
In short, this is a grown-ass women’s vanilla: warm and rich and well rounded.

  32. :

    5 out of 5

This is a fragrance that I shouldn’t like. I dislike vanilla scented perfumes because, to me, all that I’ve tried have smelled fake and cloyingly cheap. I also dislike spicy fragrances for reasons that I can’t explain. I received a vial of this and a few others a while back from Dames Perfumery along with a nice handwritten note from Mr. Dame. I sniffed it and, noticing the spiciness, set it aside in favor of the other samples.
I recently found it hiding among my sample stash. I decided to see how it works with my body chemistry and was surprised to find that it smells deliciously sexy! The vanilla is rich and floats with the caramel just under the nutmeg. Later the citrus quietly makes their presence known while allowing the nutmeg to stay center stage. Finally, as it dries down, the florals show up and the musk let’s me know, with a wink and a smile, that it has been there all along hiding just behind the nutmeg which has remained for the entire show.
After an hour or more my husband, while walking past me, stopped in his tracks and with a wild look in his eyes, asked “What are you wearing?” and gave me a hug! We’ve been married for well over forty years and he had a hungry look that I had forgotten! I told him what it was and said that I was going to buy a bottle of it. Usually he complains when I mention buying perfume because I have a lot of money invested in my large collection of fragrances, already, but this time he just smiled at me. I’ve worn it twice since then and gotten the same reaction from him each time. Both times I mentioned that I was going to buy a bottle of it and both times he smiled and didn’t object. I believe that this has become my favorite fragrance! (Sorry, Kors).
I also want to say that I’m very impressed with Dames Perfumery. The samples that they sent were very unique and that in itself is impressive. Mr. Dames has sent other hand written cards and I consider him a true gentleman who deserves the success that he is now enjoying. I just noticed that, along with some other unique fragrances, they have a new fragrance that smells like chocolate! I think that I have a new obsession!

My new favorite, a very delicious and realistic vanilla with soft spices. Please try if you like vanilla but not necessarily sugary vanilla ice cream smell.

  35. :

This is a very herbal sort of dry vanilla, not sweet at all really. It reminds me a lot of Eau Duelle Diptyque edp in this way. The only notes I can pick out is the vanilla in the forefront, not the sugary cupcake kind, but the very dry vanilla extract sort, as well as a very prominent herbal note that is sort of like a greenish grassy or hay-like kind of scent, I’m guessing its the vetiver. The greenness makes it a very unisex scent, more on the masculine side. Personally I’m more of a fan of warmer and cozy kinds of vanilla scents, so I don’t see myself pursuing this as a full bottle.

  36. :

super spicey warm dry vanilla. definitely a winter fall time. i actually really like this fragrance and may purchase a bottle in the winter. its not a girly fragrance with floral or overly sweet fragrance. definitely unisex and i think that is what i like most about it. It kinda reminds me of winter at home while baking some cookies. i would say its a nice everyday perfume that one could wear to work. not offensive. perfect for the woman who wears a suit to work.

I love vanilla! Unfortunately i can’t wear it much down here in florida. 🙁
This fragrance is a very dense and robust vanilla/caramel gourmand. It is a dry version not like vanilla ice cream or vanilla extracts
Kinda like vanilla powder sprinkled on carmel.
I would love to smell this on a lady in the right setting. Probably an evening out on the town and sharing a loving embrace after the nights festivities are drawing close to an end. The moment i was close enough to be blessed with holding her near me. Then smelling this on her would totally drive my senses crazy!
    Sexiness in a bottle!
    Just being honest here.
It does dry down to a musky vanilla with the caramel holding on with something extra hiding in the background. Not sure of that extra note. But it’s pleasant.
The perfume is tenacious and lasts for hours probably pushing 12.
If you like a drier vanillic gourmand that lasts perhaps check this out.
** anyone can wear this. I just wanted to share my vision this scent conjured in my minds eye.
    Kind regards, Lj

I just read all of your reviews and thank you for posting them here. Like you, I really love Mexican Vanilla but I reserve it for when I want something special. Because of your review, I would have worn it today if I had not picked another. And now I want to ….
Isn’t Queen just great? Nobody even notices it and its $10 and one of the best fragrances ever made.
It amazes me that things slip through the cracks with people running to buy Creed this or Tom Ford that and there are just better fragrances out there that you can buy with a tenner and still get some change.
Jeffrey Dame is such a gentleman and this might be his best creation. I would not argue that it is not.
I am still in love with Mate Helitrope Patchouli and I see that you have it on your love list as well and I hope to see you review it someday.
I probably shouldn’t be talking about Mexican Vanilla until I get my bottle down to 50% and have used it a bit more and have a better feel for it but I know that I love it.
And it staggers me that it is such a screaming buy at $65 when so much niche runs over a $100, $200, or more. Guerlain Spiriteuse Double Vanille is running $260 these days plus shipping and tax. Is there anybody that thinks its more interesting, outperforms, or smells better than Black Flower Mexican Vanille? Really ???
There are wallet empty type fragrance reviews where people rate these guys higher based on price spent.
Side by Side, For performance and smell, I think Dame would win. I guess the Guerlain bottles look fancy. I cannot tell you how much I like the Artwork on the Dame bottles.
Just as Queen is probably the best Cognac fragrance ever produced even when you consider that Tom Ford has some of them and Encounter is very good. I think Queen could beat a Tom Ford fragrance or two and your review of it was spot on.
I have a few Dame fragrances and notice that you have a large want list. You have great taste and if you would ever like to swap a decant and maybe try out another Dame then pm me and let me know. I do not like swaps but I would for you because I can tell you really work to choose your scents well.
Black Flower Mexican Vanilla is just great. I almost dont even want to review it and keep it my little secret but eventually its going to be “discovered” because of voices like yours.
    Good Review

Completely head over heels in love with this perfume! Like many others, I also received this beauty as a free sample. It’s everything I want in a fragrance! Lingering warm, slightly spicy vanilla with an edge. Perfect for winter! Can’t wait to purchase a full sized bottle of this. I need this in my life!
    Longevity: 10+ hours
    Sillage: Moderate to heavy

Wearing the sample I got in the mail today.
Its a nice vanilla scent without being too straight/pure vanilla. It isn’t exceedingly sweet either which is typical of vanillas. Its quite dark and complex as the name and note pyramid suggests. I know that some might disagree but I am going to go ahead and compare it to a A*men- which I love. Its much less musty or earthy or tar-based which is what I think many don’t like about A*men so try this one out if you want to love A*men but do not.
The vanilla, sandalwood, patchouli, caramel, warm spice is great and quite complex. I think I would characterize it as more a very mature, masculine scent but my wife likes it too. I’ll keep you posted on the longevity!

Beautiful blend, but the vetiver (as is the norm for any fragrance containing this note) is too strong on me. I was hoping for something a bit more gourmand, but the patchouli/sandalwood/vetiver kills it for me. A well-made and truly unisex fragrance but not to my taste.
EDIT: I’ve been trying other “cool” vanillas (eau Duelle, vanilla insensee), and this blend is definitely a bit sweeter vanilla than those 2. Also, it’s growing on me a bit. I keep going back to this sample for evening fragrance.

I received a free sample of this fragrance yesterday in the mail from the very generous Mr. Dame. So interesting, not at all like the other vanilla fragrances du jour, more mature and multi-faceted. I get a warm carmel in the background right away, not so much nutmeg. Something is providing an edge, cannot determine exactly what element of the vetiver/jasmine/patchouli combo, but it makes its presence known throughout.

  44. :

A nice spicy, deep rich vanilla with that trademark Micallef base that’s also in Vanille Orient and Gaiac. It has a warm, plush texture and avoids overly sweet, cotton candy territory. I don’t find this incredibly complex (despite the note pyramid), just a simple, high quality cinnamon/vanilla fragrance of obviously good ingredients.100% unisex. I’m a guy and I find it very easy to wear as it’s comfortable and nonchalant without any traditionally feminine notes in the mix. Projection is solid and longevity is very good. It’s also priced fairly. Black Flower is a good place to start if you’re looking for your first serious vanilla–it presents a ‘niche quality’ style that is completely accessible while still feeling different than what’s typically out there. I picked up a bottle myself as it just seems like something that will be perfect for weekend mornings this winter. Thumbs up!

Black Flower Mexican Vanilla: extremely unique, great for layering. Very strong and long lasting. Latsted 3-5 hours. Smells like horchata (vanilla rice milk, cinnamon & spices) to me, but can have a “vintage” smell on dry down. I like to wear it under other vanilla or coconut scents to add complexity.

I’ve taken my time getting to know this scent. It’s rich, deep, and commanding. I simply adore the mexican vanilla. It’s amazing. It lasts a good 10 hours on my skin, too. But since my first spray there has been something about it that puts me off just a little. I wore it yesterday and then it finally hit me. It’s the vetiver. There is something about vetiver that ends up coming forward strongly on me and takes over – smelling bitter in the background. I’m so glad others can wear this one though because that Mexican vanilla is wonderful.

Today I retested this one and its so well done such quality in ingredients that is a total love for me (which I already knew ). Thank you so much for your wonderful creations Jeffrey you are not only a very talented perfumer but also a genuine artist along with your dad and its drawing for the labels a true master piece as a whole, in my humble opinion.
It starts very light on me with hints of flowers and then it grows to the most amazing sweet vanilla not sickly sweet with hints of toffee or caramel and traces of clove or cinnamon or a mix of both ( I know they are not on the list ) but that’s how I perceive it maybe its the nutmeg and it has a great sillage and longevity so far 4+ hours.
Its versatile as well in the way that its not more on the feminine or masculine side; can be pulled by anyone.
    This is my new obsession!

A lovely vanilla – some people may catch a hint of root beer. To me it smells like a newer, more natural and fresh Dior Hypnotic Poison. I’d recommend it to vanilla lovers or anyone looking for a warm, cozy yet still sexy kind of fragrance.

I hate for my review to sound so vapid after the wonderfully in-depth and concise points made on this page, but I was sold on it when I showed it to my guy friends who immediately told me it was the greatest thing they’d ever smelled. It’s definitely getting a place on my shelf.

I randomly got a sample of this in the mail a while back, which was a nice surprise. Just tried it today after reading a review that compared it to Jo Malone’s (discontinued) Ginger Biscuit. It definitely doesn’t smell like GB to me, but it does have a lovely warm toasted marshmallow accord to it. I also smell geranium for some inexplicable reason. Pretty linear. This is just OK to me, not anything to write home about, but then again I’m not a big vanilla lover. If you are a vanilla person this is definitely worth a try! It’s different from all the other vanillas I’ve sniffed. Interesting even if it’s not one of my favorites.

I’m not a sweet/gourmand lover and actually rarely go for vanilla scents but, having received a generous sample atomizer of this from Dame Perfumery (along with four of his other scents in tiny but adequate vials) I gave it a try. To use my rather simplistic fragrance vocabulary I would describe this as a soft, perfumey sarsaparilla scent…yes, it reminds me of root beer! A little vanilla, a little spice…a lotta deliciousness!
Edit: This sweet fragrance got me started trying out gourmand scents
and I have to say…I’m addicted!

    Sampled via a generous fragrantican.
On me this is too “perfumey”; what I’m probably objecting to here is the jasmine. I could detect what I thought was a white flower/indolic note right away. It reminded me a bit of the classic Guerlains: Shalimar, Jicky, L’Heure Bleu. Not in a good way on me, however – this stuff was driving me nuts all day.
But! On somebody else this is probably stellar!
The vanilla here is vanilla bean, rich and strong.
So I like it. Just not on me.

Those of you who are lamenting the discontinuation of Jo Malone’s Ginger Biscuit might do well to get your hands on some samples of Black Flower Mexican Vanilla.
This vanilla fragrance has an almost gingerbread level of spiciness, which is original and a welcome change in the vanilla sea. This is not an every day crowd pleaser although it IS pleasing… It’s what Pacifica’s Mexican Hot Cocoa should have been.
This would be very warming in crisp autumn weather. Spicy gourmand lovers check it out. Strikes me as definitely unisex. Guys who dig Spice Bomb and Eau des Baux should look into this lovely niche alternative. Autumnal biscuity spicy goodness. Does NOT smell like a candle. Smells like it was made to be worn (though a candle wouldn’t be bad either).
Thanks to the lovely Fragrantican who enabled me to sample this.

I got a sample of this thanks to a swap with a generous Fragrantican (Thank you!) and I love it. I love spicy vanilla scents and this has become my favorite of them all. On me this is a warm spicy vanilla, nutmeg, patchouli, and a little flash of jasmine. It stays fairly close to the skin on me but it I could smell it for 5 or 6 hours with little fading. It is not a candy sweet vanilla in the least. Smells warm and sexy. Will be getting a full bottle of this in the near future.

Black Flower Mexican Vanilla marks a strong entry in the field of vanilla-dominant fragrances, and it’s my fav
