I love coconut, real honest to heaven coconut. And this is it. Sadly I don’t get the rum note. It’s just real, fresh coconut. Which would be great if I didn’t already have a perfume that covered that quite well in Coco Extreme. This is certainly more potent though so when I’m out of Coco Extreme I may replace it with this.

The coconut fragrance I have been looking for! This is not a juicy beachy sunscreen coconut. The sweet rum dissipates within 10 minutes on me after that it evolves into the whole coconut. It is a dry dark woody yet milky coconut. Since it is an oil it is difficult to get projection so I mix it with unscented lotion. In this way the fragrance radiates off the skin which makes it perfect as an underlayer to another fragrance although I like to wear it alone this way. I highly recommend this one to anyone who loves wood base notes.

Why is it every time I fall hard, the scent is discontinued or cannot be found?? So sad. I am forever searching for the perfect coconut…If anyone has a bit of this they would like to share, I would gladly decant something of mine in return.

Wow, this the most potent, dead on, natural coconut I’ve ever smelled. A teensy, tiny dab will do ya. The staying power borders on ludicrously long, with moderate to heavy sillage. I have a 1 ml sample, and it will last me an aeon. I barely detect the rum and really don’t find it sweet, maybe just a smidgen. It is milky, and simultaneously dry/woody… very much the whole coconut, shell and all. Worn alone, it smells thick and heavy… almost oppressive. I think it will be much better layered with something that can lighten it up… maybe some 4711 or the likes… or a sharp edged floral that needs smoothing. Any craving for coconut is sure to be quashed, and you get a whole lotta bang for your buck.

I found an almost-empty bottle of this at a tag sale, and fell in love! It smells like the “Black Coconut” fragrance oil which is sold in hippie shops, but with the addition of rum, which adds a fascinating boozy tropical sweetness.
Incredibly sweet, I am not sure why this is not listed as a gourmand.
This scent lasts so long, and has such a powerful sillage, that it’s almost supernatural!
I ran out last year.
Now I want another bottle….FULL this time!
