Description
The company Luxess Group, which is behind the perfume lines of Tom Tailor, Dita Von Tesse and Bruno Banani, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Entertainment, is launching a line of fragrances dedicated to Batman. The first perfume of the line, Batman Begins – The New Dark Fragrance for Men, for all fans of the Dark Knight trilogy, comes out in June of 2014 at the 75th anniversary of the comic book hero.
The fragrance is announced as masculine, intense and mysterious—characteristics that describe Batman. Citrus and floral aromas in the top of the composition symbolize smart character and the image of Bruce Wayne. In contrast to this, the heart notes of violet, pepper and coumarin represent the ambivalent character of Batman. The classic base includes notes of cedar, sandalwood, amber and musk.
The fragrance is available as 30 and 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

Wish they could make a Joker version..and add some laughing notes to it.

Seems very “La Nuit de l’Homme”. Their new fragrance seems a copycat of Boss Bottled.

So far I have sampled this perfume on paper strip only and I´m not planning to try it on skin.
It´s basically how I expected it after seeing the notes. It smells like a cheap generic, synthetic drugstore fragrance. And is worlds apart from being dark and mysterious.
The florals and citrus notes (it´s actually more citrus than florals, so I expect the voted notes so far come from people who haven´t sampled it yet and ‘voted just for fun’) save this perfume from getting to dark right from the start and don´t match with the character of Batman nor Bruce Wayne. But they are common generic ingredients, so they had to appear here.
The woody notes are rather fresh than dry, dark or anything I would relate to Batman.
Surprisingly there was a little spicy twist, but not really extraordinary. The coumarin/pepper mix to my nose is more accentuated on coumarin than on pepper.
There might be something ambery, but not strong and.. boring (and that´s a word from an amber lover that can wear an amber accord on it´s own).
Beside the slightly spiciness after a few minutes this smells exactly as I expected it.
And this means, to me as someone who isn´t into this kind of perfumes, it smells as bad as I expected it to smell.
This will most likely still find it´s buyers (and maybe lovers), but it would suprise me if many fragranticans will appreciate it.
But please people, give it a try before you vote and before you review.

This is fabulous news – it looks like we will finally get the kind of generic scent that properly represents the kind of generic character “Batman” has become !

Is this a joke? It looks as professional as those weekly tasks on the apprentice. Surely they are about 3 years late with this!
