Just got the body wash and it smells like polo blue

Elixir Green smells like vintage shaving soap, filtered through a 21st century lens. All the notes are vague iterations of traditional aromatics in a clichéd barbershop fougère, and yes, you could argue that it’s a clone of Polo Blue (itself a “clean” fougère-like scent,), only here the trendy metrosexual family man idea seems to work better. I’m unsure of whether its obvious budget and lower quality ingredients are to thank for it, but EG is pretty satisfying in a cheap and unpretentious way. Expect crisp nondescript green, citrus, and lavender notes blended with a tame reincarnation of Edwardian musk and white soap. When all is said and done, this reminds me more of Paco Rabanne PH than anything else, and would make a nice aftershave tonic.

Pleasing woodsy aroma that comes on strong, but fades fast after 1.5 hours. I’d rate sillage as moderately heavy, longevity moderately weak.
