Purchased it expecting a smoky oudy bakhoor mukhallat but performance was so weak , pitifully weak, that I thought I purchased a defective bottle. Repurchased another bottle and still: projection almost zero, sillage almost zero, no command of scent when applied on body.
But when smothered and over-applied and sniffed up close, the smell was pretty decent. And non offensive. So, if you are a veteran of middle eastern fragrances it will not come off as exceptional, but for first timers, it may impress.
Would definitely have been a keeper had it been of higher performance and quality. . Swiss Arabian oils are not that impressive, in my opinion. I own Swiss’s Mukhallat Malaki, Attar Mubakhar, Dehn El Ood Mubakhar, Dehn El Ood Mubarak and others.
Will definitely see to get rid of this. A big disappointment.

it smells almost identical to Al Basel from the same brand! Really close to it.

Alexandera is spot on.. Nothing to add further.. Must have..
It has got some real oud in it as it has got that ‘feel’ if you know what I mean!

OK.. I bought this one based on the notes.. I wanted an olibanum-doinant perfume… I wasn’t at all disapointed.. This is a night fragrance, definetly not for warm weather….
It’s strong, smokey, woody… I love it… If you like strong smells this is the one for you… My girlfriend likes it on me, my father told me “what is that stench?”.. I personaly love it…
Even though it is a strong smell, it has a discreet projection… Moreover, I managed to get almost 24h out of it.

This is Marlon Brando on his bike, with his leather jacket and cap, gazing audaciously straight ahead, not minding about anything else than the moment.
Attar Mubakhar is, to my nose, very masculine, bold and dark, hidding its sensitivity deep inside it. The olibanum is very prominent, followed by sandalwood and agarwood. That all determin its identity as leathery. Patchuli and rose emerge after a while, living the citruses for the end. Vanilla is very faint, while I do not detect jasmine at all.
A very unique perfum oil and a must have for me.

I collect fragrance as do much of the other club
members on this site. These Arabian perfumes and oils
are beautiful. The fancy traditional packaging they
are contained in are exquisite. They range from affordable to high end pricing. Depending on where you
find them here in the US. You have to look for these
here. I generally like them. Worth trying along with all
the other European and other makes of fragrances.

This is almost the oil version to armaf club de nuit intense man.
This is a better version..much more complex..it has the same smokiness and lemony notes but a bit toned down, other then that it is a kind of its own.
very butifull fragrance more manly in my opinion or on my skin.
    blended super nice.
smoky fruty with a little bit of flowers ..it does project good at the first 4 hours then close to skin..and lives a very thick trail for 6 hour, longetivity 16 hours easily
    Very recommended..butifull smell.very high quality 🙂 enjoy

This is absolutely scrumptious! Jest divinely addictive. Its so well blended, smoky, with just the right amount of sweetness. It simply lovely. It does stay close to the skin, and very comforting in winter months. Although I suspect it will be a complete beast in the summer! Which I intend to explore.
Very excellent value for the money I paid for it. It lasts around 4 hours, so you may have to reapply. It smells strikingly similar to Oudh Sharqia, ( not in the database, unfortunately)

I was expecting this to be a smoky, transcendent masterpiece as others have claimed. Well, I’ve had it on my skin for about three hours now, and it smells of a leather jacket caught on fire, mixed with a lot of plastic. In other words, it smells to my nose like a Harley Davidson Ken doll that accidentally found its way into a bonfire.
I’m glad other people can appreciate it, as I can see from the rave reviews. I don’t want to seem like a “hater”, but unfortunately, on my skin this one is a sharp, synthetic disaster.

Never in my wildest dreams did I ever expect I could enjoy a smokey attar to the degree I enjoy this. It is blended to absolute perfect balance with the rest of the notes. So much so that I am taken to a place of complete peace and restfulness during the procession of this fragrance on my skin. One can not explain such experiences except that there is some kind of mesmerising drug infused in this attar that overcomes the mind, heart and soul with such a state of being, or perhaps it is just that it is a complete fit at this very moment of my fragrance journey. Either way I am rather taken back and in fact feel grateful for having been given the opportunity to experience this fragrance. I am completely and utterly lost for words.

…..’the King lay awake and listened with awe as Shahrazad told her first story. The night passed by and Shahrazad stopped in the middle of the story… The king asked her to finish but she said there was no time as dawn was breaking..so the king spared her life for one day to finish the story the next night…’
Anyone familiar with the ‘1001 nights’ stories will recognise the story of Shahrazad and Shahryar.
And this is what this beautiful, deep, resinous, smoky oil brought to mind the moment I smelt it.
A scent for a sensuous, intelligent, amazing woman (or man). This is the perfect blend of aromatic rose and luban, (olibanum),smouldering, sweetly smoky, with a good touch of jasmine, enough oud to lend a sensational earthiness and sandalwood to make the entire juice creamy and aromatic! WHAT A MASTERPIECE! Rarely I come across such mix of femininity and alluring depth, this is Oriental at its best! Sweet but never cloying, this is a scent for a woman, THE woman, and one who is more than a match to any man alive ! No cloying fruit salads or cup cakes here, just pure sensational allure! Perfect!

This makes TF Tuscan Leather seem like childsplay! No seriously this is amazing! In fact to me TL smells terrible, but this is pure heaven, places me in a state that I can only describe as narcotic trance!
I am a person who cannot stand aoud in perfumes, it makes me sick, but here it is so beautiful that you almost cannot tell if it’s aoud or if it’s really good leather. It’s smoky, heavy, leathery and contains almost an incense kind of effect, just mind-blowing, extremely long lasting.
I got a tiny sample of this from a swap, and the first time I tried it, I was a bit nauseated, so I just put it away. But, few days later I reached for that sample again, and after dabbing it on my wrist, I felt like something hit me in the head and knocked out with olfactory pleasure, yep exactly how I felt. Ever since, I’ve scraped till the last drop of this beautiful thing, and ordered me a bottle. Even my husband says it smells nice, and he hates heavy smoky fragrances ( he’s into the light flower smells ).
This is the first arabian attar I fell head over hills, it’s absolutely gorgeous!
EDIT: I finally received my bottle today! OMG it’s just incredible. Be careful with dosage, cause it’s strong, a little goes a long way and stays all day.

All Praise to The Most High for creating our olfactory sense to taste this beauty. A heavenly citrus opening, taking you on a trip on a magical carpet, into an eastern rose garden heavy with the scent of patchouli, leaving a lingering scent trail of precious o’udh min cambodi, sandal min hind with a deep touch of exotic vanilla. A treasure to be savored and used for making love and communing with the spirits

Wow very heavy on smoke, spices and sweet when it starts to dry down. More of a masculine fragrance. If you like really smokey fragrances like serges fumerie turq, then this is a great choice. Very interesting if this works on your skin.

Oh, I had so high hopes on this, as the only voted note back then was frankincense.
But unfortunetaly I can´t smell any olibanum at all 🙁
On my skin it starts with a strange citrus, sandal, floral combination. While the creamy sandal and the citruses don´t do that well together, the jasmine seems to make it even worse.
After a while the notes find their way to come together and create a rather sweet citric floral perfume. It stays thisway for quite an hour or two before it becomes a bit balmier and warmer. But the balmier and warmer it gets, the closer it stays to the skin. The odd citric-floral undertones never disapear completely.
Perhaps that´s what Al-Maghrib means with bizarre. But I don´t get any leather nor tobacco notes nor spices (unfortunetaly).
I´m really glad that a nice fragrantican gave me a sample of this, because it could have been one of those I may have blind bought (if I didn´t have a chance to sample), also because of the beautiful bottle. A pitty, but it´s really not my cup of tea 🙁
