Got myself a bottle from the new seller of this fragrance, not anymore branded Helena Rubistein.
It is absolutely VILE!
Extremely disappointed by the massive alcoholic slap it releases shamelessly on one’s face at first spray, and even more about the little left of what once was one of the best fragrances around!
The original scent is just a feeble, furtive whiff which immediately leaves space to an overwhelming stench of toilet freshner.
DO NOT BUY, you would be up for the killing of great memories. And your nostrils!

I’ve completely forgot about this one!
I used to sneak in to my parents bedroom just to grab this tall ribbed bottle with girly pink lid from the back of the drawer containing mom’s lingerie. Fearing to get caught, I would just quickly inhale this divine, fairy scent from the bottle. I wonder if my mom still keeps it, would love to smell it and feel like a little princess again.

Apple Blossom was one of my first perfumes when I was a young girl. I like a lot, and I want to buy a new bottle of this nice perfume =))
Pyclivervefly – :
Oh how much money I have wasted buying vintages based on others’ (and my own) fantastical memories. Apple Blossom has one foot in that regret basket, and another in the “I can imagine how it might have been and maybe it’s not so bad” basket.
So unless it has been kept under refrigeration or in your mum’s basement at an extreme latitude, be aware that old stock may be past its best. I was hoping for the fresh Spring-like notes as detected by others, but this fragrance is quite strong and heavy. Ylang Ylang and Jasmine dominate, followed by Sandalwood, Musk and Lilac.
The note most distinctly absent…is Apple Blossom. As that’s the main reason I purchased it, I feel a bit sad :((
Still, the ‘oldness’ wears off within an hour, and it’s not too bad in the air at home.

This was bought for me by my mother as gift in the late 70’s or early 80’s. It was my first perfume and I felt so grown up. I was about 10 years old and never forgot how I felt. It was the first perfume I bought for my two daughters and I told them about my mother buying it for me. Now my eldest daughter has a very girly 4 year old and it was her first perfume. I hope they never stop making this beautiful, innocent floral. It’s perfect for all ages and so very affordable for all.

Apple Blossom by Helena Rubenstein was my Mothers favourite fragrance. I want to buy some if anyone knows if the original one is still around.

I have this in a new and unused splash 60ml EDT, ribbed tall round bottle with the pink lid, labeled as Helena Rubinstein “Apple Blossom” (most probably from the 70´s or early 80´s.)
What cn i say? At first i didn´t like it, must have been the first test from an old bottle. But then i tried it once again and third time again and i believe it is a matter of weather, since today on a warm spring day it smells absolutely amazing! It has that lovely vintage smell of strong lilac and the blossoms are there as well. A really lovely soft “cologne like” scent. My main concern is that it is very soft and has low sillage and my nose does not detect it easily. But in the wind it still smells very nice.
I would rather name this “lilac innocence” 🙂

I had this one, or another called Apple Blossom if a different one was also made by the same name, in junior high. I bought during my Heaven Scent days do could be the HR perfume. Anyway, it was just lovely, airy, and if I smelled it again blindly Im sure I could recognize it! This isn’t a true review, I had a memory and wanted to see if it was in the database. I loved that stuff!

I’ve some perfect pieces of the original one, both Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum. If Someone want it contact me here. I can guarantee they are perfectly preserved and so smell still like my childhood memories. I can show photos if you ask me.

Just a heads up for those interested, a 3 piece set available on ebay.com.au, for $9.99
( Although I am curious about this scent, I have no memories or nostalgia tied to this, as do so many others, so I’ll leave it for those that already love it, as there’s a world of other scents for me to discover…)

I have seen on the web this perfume and I bought it to make happy my old aunt who loved so much it and she despaired when it was discontinued.
I do not remember like was the original, but this is the apotheosis of synthetic with some notes of fruit putrefying.
Really horrible! 🙁
I do not know now if I throw it in the trash or send to my old aunt …

Have just found this again, Marketed by Kent Cosmetics.
It is just as lovely as I remember. My Mother always used this in the summer but I think of her now as I wear this once more in December. Delicious, fresh fragrance filled with so many happy memories. It’s almost as if my Mum is giving me a hug. xx I have some to give my sister for Christmas and I know she will feel the same.

I’m wearing this today!! Used to be my mother’s favourite back in the 70s, and i can see why.. it’s sweet, but not powder-like, and not heavy like other perfumes of the time.. the apple blossom is very distinct to my nose, overall a surprisingly beautiful smell and unlike anything i’ve smelled so far! Why on earth did they discontinue it? I bet it would still sell well…
gerbarii – :
i cannot believe I am seeing this – like the previous reviewer this was one of my earliest scents and I had completely forgotten about it. I must have been about 10 years old – so sweet and lovely. Think I had the bubble bath too. Amazingly this must have started my love of Ylang ylang and rose notes. the other perfumes to shape my life was Miss balmain and a nina ricci with the doves on the top which I used to sneak sniffs of when my mother was not around!!!

I am new to this site and searching around it kind of constantly; as it fascinates me to read about fragrance.
This was my very first perfume of my own and I was just a little girl. My moms best friend worked at Cunningham’s, and brought this to me. I felt enchanted and loved it…..

This was one of my favorites as a teen & early twenties. I have always loved apple blossom. I think I probably tried about all the different popular apple blossom fragrances that were out then & I had 3 major faves. This one was one of them.
It was a wonderful apple blossom scent, with lily-of-the-valley & jasmine. The sandalwood, another of my fave notes, really played well the apple. I remember these notes in this wonderful little classic, don’t really recall the other notes…
I would love to have this again.
